This is achingly beautiful! Also, I remember some woman saying (idk if it was Meryl or somebody else) that we women have been speaking the language of men for so long that they themselves are unbeknown to the fact that we really do understand them.
I mean yeah it's like we foresee their actions and reactions. We even happen to know about their likes and dislikes. We learn about their interests. It's like they are a book we were forced to read and memorize for so long that now we are aware of its plot and the ending. With or without forceful prompting, whether we chose to or not, they have made the absolute travesty out of our womanhood. how can one be this haughty whilst being one's epitome of miseries and melancholy baffles & infuriates me. my nonchalant and unapologetic self would scream this out loud. my ancestors might have forgiven them but I swear on my life that I fucking won't!

gurl im not lying when i say marital rape and non consensual/unsafe sex is a common practice in our desi households & the brown community. like you can ask the myriad amount of brown women and most of them had to say that they absolutely loathed it on their first time. imagine being excited about getting intimate with your spouse only to gain nothing but post-deed trauma.
can't imagine wanting to have sex with someone who was lukewarm about it/just tolerating it for my sake (like so many wives do to keep their husbands from whining & moping), let ALONE wanting sex w/ someone who hates it, isn't remotely attracted to me, & is only doing it bc I coerced them with money. male sexuality is so repulsive, the fact that so many of them can even get it up at all in these situations is a testament to how fucking depraved & selfish they are. they either use women as living sex toys or fetishize women's pain/lack of enjoyment. it's no wonder a significant portion take that lack of empathy to the extreme & just become rapists.

Bro my hair genetics are something else
Like pre-t I had harrier legs and arms than most cis guys my age
I could grow a pube stache
And I could grow sideburns
And I had a tiny tiny happy trail
I also have super thick eyebrows and a unibrow if I don’t take care of it lol (I hate unibrows)
I actually love my eyebrows and my eyes
Actually love that for meee
I could pass pre t at like 15 but I’m even happier now I love my voice I love more facial hair and more body hair and other things
Like Yass I can grow a full beard at 16
Other guys (cis guys) in my family are also hairy as shit idk why
And growing up I was forced to shave but I would refuse (#resist y’all) and I always hated it. I never got why I had to do this stupid shit. Nobody should have to shave anything #feministicon ik
Also.. question if anyone knows: when chest hair grows back after top surgery will it grow in weird because your skin is like changing places (will it look unnatural)

@just1alien @feministicon
These are such lovely comments to come back too.
I do want to say this blog is not dead! Promise. And I am so, so sorry for up and disappearing without a heads up. I do very much have more ideas for things to write and I still have an outline of a prologue for ‘To Take Up the Shawl’ sitting around and waiting to be completed.
At my job, September, January, and May are the busiest times of the year. And on top of my increased workload, my friends have decided they’re interested in trying out Tabletop RPGs. And as the only person who has even a passing knowledge in our group about TTRPGs, I have been assigned GM/Storyteller duties for two different game systems. So my free time has been occupied with learning game systems and writing campaigns.
The good news is September is coming to a close! So hopefully I’ll be less exhausted after work and will be able to get more things done at home and write more fanfics for the Fleetwood Fans.

one of the myriad things that I vehemently want the 5th wave of feminism to achieve is getting pornography and prostitution/sex work banned from the face of this planet. like get every porn site wiped off from the internet. and yes that includes getting rid of the OF too. we've seen enough of the capitalisation of sex or precisely of women & young girls. I mean after a noticeably exponential increase in the cases of sex/child trafficking from the past many years, it leaves us no choice but to eradicate it once and for all.

Drawn for me by @sonia.leong, #BuffySlays25! For anyone who hasn't yet purchased this amazing book by @kendareblake, you'll love it! Click here to do so - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Every-Generation-Book/dp/1368075029/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1ZM4FMDZSQ5OL&keywords=in%20every%20generation%20kendare%20blake&qid=1647105869&sprefix=In%20Every%20Generation%20by%20%2Caps%2C1447&sr=8-1&fbclid=IwAR2I_8-FDSmVVV6Pwy6FchHyzztx7futQPQYFyUZmV2DguE2t5R8Oe92rL0 - Return to #Sunnydale in a brand-new series by New York Times best-selling author Kendare Blake, set in the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Frankie Rosenberg wasn't yet alive when her mom, Willow, her aunt Buffy, and the original #ScoobyGang destroyed the Hellmouth and saved the world from the First Evil. These days, life in #NewSunnydale is blissfully quiet. Frankie is just trying to survive her sophomore year at the rebuilt high school and use her budding magical powers to make the world a better place. But that world is suddenly plunged into danger when the slayer community is the target of a deadly attack, leaving the future of the line uncertain. Then Frankie discovers she's sort of freakishly strong. Oh, and there's something Willow never told her about her true identity. Cue the opening credits. Quicker than she can carve a stake, Frankie discovers there's more to saving the world than witty one-liners and stupid hot demons. now everyone looks to her for answers, but speaking up has never been her strong suit. And it's hard to be taken seriously when your mom is such a powerful witch she almost ended the world once, while your greatest magic trick is recycling. Despite the many challenges standing in her way, Frankie must assemble her own bumbling Scooby Gang, get dressed up in Buffy's (vintage '90s) clothes, and become a new slayer for a new generation--before whatever came for the rest of the slayers comes for her next. "A worthy successor to the Slayer stories." -Booklist Starred Review #Buffy #BtVS #BuffySlays #BuffySummers #Feminism #BuffyTheVampireSlayer #FeministIcon #FeministIcons #HeForShe #heforshe👫 #Buffyverse #KendareBlake #FrankieRosenberg #WillowRosenberg #WillowRosenbergsDaughter #BuffyNovel https://www.instagram.com/p/CbIJheOqNpI/?utm_medium=tumblr

Ada Lovelace was basically the first ever computer programer...in the early 1840s! She worked with Charles Babbage, considered the father of computers, helping to bring his work even further: she believed machines could do even more than basic number-crunching (computing, as it were...) Things like creating images and music. Oh boy what would she think of us now eh?!? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We learned all about this pioneering, imaginative lady from the children's book "Poet of Science" by Diane Stanley and illustrated by Jessie Hartland, which we currently have in stock at the shop, along with a few other fempowering books for kids! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #WomensHistoryWednesday #WCW #WomanCrushWednesday #WomenInHistory #WomenInScience #WomxnInHistory #empoweringchildrensbooks #dianestanley #jessiehartland #feministicons #womenshistory #womxnshistory https://www.instagram.com/p/B7WwO79lj6P/?igshid=11cb401gv2tn6
