Linux distros - what is the difference, which one should I choose?
Caution, VERY long post.
With more and more simmers looking into linux lately, I've been seeing the same questions over and over again: Which distro should I choose? Is distro xyz newbie-friendly? Does this program work on that distro?
So I thought I'd explain the concept of "distros" and clear some of that up.
What are the key differences between distros?
Linux distros are NOT different operating systems (they're all still linux!) and the differences between them aren't actually as big as you think.
Update philosophy: Some distros, like Ubuntu, (supposedly) focus more on stability than being up-to-date. These distros will release one big update once every year or every other year and they are thoroughly tested. However, because the updates are so huge, they inevitably tend to break stuff anyway. On the other end of the spectrum are so-called "rolling release" distros like Arch. They don't do big annual updates, but instead release smaller updates very frequently. They are what's called "bleeding edge" - if there is something new out there, they will be the first ones to get it. This can of course impact stability, but on the other hand, stuff gets improved and fixed very fast. Third, there are also "middle of the road" distros like Fedora, which kind of do... both. Fedora gets big version updates like Ubuntu, but they happen more frequently and are comparably smaller, thus being both stable and reasonably up-to-date.
Package manager: Different distros come with different package managers (APT on ubuntu, DNF on Fedora, etc.). Package managers keep track of all the installed programs on your PC and allow you to update/install/remove programs. You'll often work with the package manager in the terminal: For example, if you want to install lutris on Fedora, you'd type in "sudo dnf install lutris" ("sudo" stands for "super user do", it's the equivalent of administrator rights on Windows). Different package managers come with different pros and cons.
Core utilities and programs: 99% of distros use the same stuff in the background (you don’t even directly interact with it, e.g. background process managing). The 1% that do NOT use the same stuff are obscure distros like VoidLinux, Artix, Alpine, Gentoo, Devuan. If you are not a Linux expert, AVOID THOSE AT ALL COST.
Installation process: Some distros are easier to install than others. Arch is infamous for being a bit difficult to install, but at the same time, its documentation is unparalleled. If you have patience and good reading comprehension, installing arch would literally teach you all you ever need to know about Linux. If you want to go an easier and safer route for now, anything with an installer like Mint or Fedora would suit you better.
Community: Pick a distro with an active community and lots of good documentation! You’ll need help. If you are looking at derivatives (e.g. ZorinOS, which is based on Ubuntu which is based on Debian), ask yourself: Does this derivative give you enough benefits to potentially give up community support of the larger distro it is based on? Usually, the answer is no.
Okay, but what EDITION of this distro should I choose?
"Editions" or “spins” usually refer to variations of the same distro with different desktop environments. The three most common ones you should know are GNOME, KDE Plasma and Cinnamon.
GNOME's UI is more similar to MacOS,  but not exactly the same.
KDE Plasma looks and feels a lot like Windows' UI, but with more customization options.
Cinnamon is also pretty windows-y, but more restricted in terms of customization and generally deemed to be "stuck in 2010".
Mint vs. Pop!_OS vs. Fedora
Currently, the most popular distros within the Sims community seem to be Mint and Fedora (and Pop!_OS to some extent). They are praised for being "beginner friendly". So what's the difference between them?
Both Mint and Pop!_OS are based on Ubuntu, whereas Fedora is a "standalone" upstream distro, meaning it is not based on another distro.
Personally, I recommend Fedora over Mint and Pop!_OS for several reasons. To name only a few:
I mentioned above that Ubuntu's update philosophy tends to break things once a big update rolls around every two years. Since both Mint and Pop!_OS are based on Ubuntu, they are also affected by this.
Ubuntu, Mint and Pop!_OS like to modify their stuff regularly for theming/branding purposes, but this ALSO tends to break things. It is apparently so bad that there is an initiative to stop this.
Pop!_OS uses the GNOME desktop environment, which I would not recommend if you are switching from Windows. Mint offers Cinnamon, which is visually and technically outdated (they use the x11 windowing system standard from 1984), but still beloved by a lot of people. Fedora offers the more modern KDE Plasma.
Personal observation: Most simmers I've encountered who had severe issues with setting up Linux went with an Ubuntu-based distro. There's just something about it that's fucked up, man.
And this doesn't even get into the whole Snaps vs. Flatpak controvery, but I will skip this for brevity.
Does SimPE (or any other program) work on this distro?
If it works on Fedora, then it works on Mint/Ubuntu/Arch/etc., and vice versa. This is all just a question of having the necessary dependencies installed and installing the program itself properly. Some distros may have certain prerequisites pre-installed, while others don't, but you can always just install those yourself. Like I said, different distros are NOT different operating systems. It's all still Linux and you can ultimately customize it however you want.
In short: Yeah, all Sims 2-related programs work. Yes, ReShade too. It ultimately doesn't really matter what distro you use as long as it is not part of the obscure 1% I mentioned above.
A little piece of advice
Whatever distro you end up choosing: get used to googling stuff and practice reading comprehension! There are numerous forums, discord servers and subreddits where you can ask people for help. Generally speaking, the linux community is very open to helping newbies. HOWEVER, they are not as tolerant to nagging and laziness as the Sims community tends to be. Show initiative, use google search & common sense, try things out before screaming for help and be detailed and respectful when explaining your problems. They appreciate that. Also, use the arch wiki even if you do not use Arch Linux – most of it is applicable to other distros as well.

While I am by no means an expert in Linux distros (distributions) might I recommend two widely supported and user-friendly ones?
Linux distributions are basically packets of software that envelop the Linux kernel that determine the look, feel and function of the operating system. While there is a multitude of flavours, Debian-based systems such as Ubuntu and Mint are widely supported and have huge communities while being user friendly (i.e. keep the command line usage low/ explained). I managed to squeeze so much processing power out of my old laptop just by switching from Windows 10 to Linux Mint (very lightweight, has a graphic interface very similar to Windows). If you don't have to worry about every every Byte of RAM tho, I'd say Ubuntu is a very good start
Hope this helps <3
Thank you! I'm currently deciding between Mint with the Cinnamon desktop or Fedora with either KDE or Cinnamon. Going to try live USBs to test them out.
For others considering the switch: Mint is the most commonly recommended "easy and stable for new Linux users" version. Fedora is "stable but you're going to need to Google how to do more things until you're used to it." Cinnamon desktop is "things look like Windows", KDE is "not trying to be Windows but similarly intuitive, and you can customize everything", and the third common desktop is GNOME which is "doing it's own thing but looks like Mac, with lots of tiled apps".
Note that these are one-day-of-research impressions. I'll probably try GNOME too, but it looks instinctively ugly to me when I search up images of it.
Most common versions seem to have the option to try them before switching your computer over, so that's my next step.

I want to switch from Ubuntu to a different distro, why do you like fedora?
I'm moderately confident in my skills but not so confident that I wanna start using arch
I like fedora because it has the right amount of stability vs being up to date (i call it a middle-ground between arch and debian), and it's very big so you'll have lots of support.
if you're looking at fedora the main other option is mint. unless you have a real preference between RPMs and DEBs, you should consider the angle of available desktops. Mint has the best Cinnamon experience, and Fedora officially supports tons of DEs including Gnome and KDE as flagships. If you have a DE preference then go for that.
It should be noted mint still relies on ubuntu so you're not fully going away if you pick that. There's also debian-based mint but i don't know anything about it.
My journey went from ubuntu to debian to arch to gentoo to void (non-exhaustive list) and honestly if it weren't for my love of KDE there's an equal chance i would have been on Mint instead.
Fedora requires a little more skill at setup for the proprietary nvidia drivers and for video codecs. after that it's pretty much the same thing in my experience.

GNOME applications: fantastic, amazing, full of great apps like Newsflash, Shortwave, and Boxes
GNOME Desktop Environment: painful, limiting, so difficult to theme System76 fucked off to build COSMIC
i believe everyone should use their computer the way they like it the most; using the software they are most comfortable with, configured the way they are most comfortable.

It's Boss Charcoal and Herbalist Onix!
...
Well there goes my reputation again/j
DON'T READ THE EPISODES WITHOUT READING THE BOOKS!!
Irratino and Logico run back to Central, where they immediately smack into Judge Pine.
LOGICO: WHAT! PINE: Guess what, chump? I fixed up the town for ya! LOGICO: What do you mean? It didn’t need fixing!
Pine snickers and then steps out of the way. Logico’s face is plastered on EVERYTHING!
LOGICO: WHAT THE FUCK IRRATINO: *WHEEZE*
Silverton the Legend is selling cars now!
SILVERTON: Every single one of these cars belonged to Deductive Logico at some point in time.
A crowd of screaming humans flock over! At the restaurant, Aubergine serves up a fedora-shaped burger! EVERYTHING on the menu has Logico’s name in it!
AUBERGINE: Hey short king! Want me to fry up another Delective Burgico? LOGICO: *SCREAMING*
The abandoned factory has turned into the Murdle Museum, and a million people dressed as Logico crowd in to purchase books and unlicensed merch!
LOGICO: STOP, STOP STOP! I DON’T LIIIIIIKE THIS!
Irratino can’t breathe. The next thing Logico sees is a GIANT pile of bodies.
LOGICO: AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH-
He rushes into his apartment, to find Ethicist Lemon and CINNAMON sitting in there!
CINNAMON: …Hi LOGICO: GET OUT. GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! LEMON: Oh, Logico? I thought this apartment was abandoned, so I came in through the window. CINNAMON: I took the door off…
Logico is about to pass out. All of this disgusting new information plus 100 bodies to deal with? How is he EVER going to get out of this?
IRRATINO: Logico, Logico, relax! These bodies are all fresh, so they must have all been killed by the same person.
That barely helps. Pine sits down, proud of herself, and opens up a bottle of wine. Irratino gasps.
IRRATINO: Logico! When we were at the Magic Palace! LOGICO: What about it?? IRRATINO: Someone had a marot card depicting a bottle of wine. And there it is!  LOGICO: So?? They’re LITERALLY EVERYWHERE, they’re one of the most common murder weapons! IRRATINO: But it could mean something about this particular case!
Logico refuses to believe him, and tries to fight through his migraine while shoving the essential strangers out of his house.
LOGICO: Neither of you even LIVE HERE!
He gasps.
LOGICO: You! Lemon! You’re here to capture me and take me to TekTopia, aren’t you? LEMON: What? No! I’m an ethicist, I’d never do something that barbaric. It’s Turquoise, Eggplant, and Olive that want you.  LOGICO: [deep breath] So… since you are an ethicist, and you also work in TekTopia, do you think… there’s any possible way… you could… get them to stop chasing us? LEMON: No!
He slithers away very fast in a panic. Cinnamon uses binoculars and looks into the distance.
CINNAMON: Are… you talking about them?
Logico screams again.
LOGICO: IRRATINO, HURRY!!
Irratino is laughing madly at a yearbook of Logico’s. But he finds some parallels between then and now, such as a murder fork being at the factory site.
LOGICO: GIVE ME THAT!
He is embarrassed, however - Irratino was right all along. The wine really did say straight away that Pine was the culprit.
PINE: That’s right! You know what this town is full of? MURDERERS! And goddamn, I’m supposed to be the one killin’ everybody. So I dispatched a LOAD of ‘em! LOGICO: Every town is full of murderers, the humans aren’t even the ones doing it, and YOU CAN’T HAVE A MONOPOLY ON MURDER! PINE: Why?
Logico wants Pine to leave and never return, but unfortunately, she does live in this town.
The end!
Your reward for finishing is Sociologist Umbreon
Tumblr media
Also what is Pine's deal and how much power does she have????
But fr the entire town being Logico-themed is so silly and I need it
Works extra well when he's a magnifying glass because he's so marketable

See you next time murdlers!

Linix-Unix-BSD Laptop Journey~~ (and some questions again)
yet another question~~ tho up to my own musings and uncertainty at this point~~
I'm too afraid to try to install FreeBSD cause I'm worried I won't be able to dig up some needed internet info and that makes me feel dumb~~ is the Domain Name not the Hostname or name of the wifi? or would it be my ISP's website or something?
I like tech but not knowing this makes me feel stupid lol even though I'm probably not~~~ and that's just anxiety lying to me~~~
also is there any point in moving from Linux Mint Debian Edition 6 to Debian 11 disks that I have burned?
the only one with the zoom feature (unless I install something if I can find it) is the Cinnamon Desktop, and at that point I see no point on dropping Mint for pure Debian in that case....
need accessibility for my blind butt (despite also being stubborn and not using it half the time anyway lol)
ALSO none of the debian live CDs that I tried saw my WIFI and idk why~~ and they're all debian 11...
might need to download newer versions and burn them to disk I guess~~
or maybe if I installed one of them anyway, and actually hooked it to ethernet, then installed updates whether it would see my wifi then? idk
found a distro that doesn't use SystemD called PCLinuxOS and thought about giving that a try, but idk if it's good for someone like me, but I got a handle sort of on fedora back in the day.
So currently stuck on linux mint debian edition cause I'm afraid to give freebsd a try due to maybe not having the network information requited and idk where to find it~~ and cause debian just straight up wouldn't see my wifi~~ tho I've also said before in this post that idk if it's a good idea or not to go from linux mint debian, to straight debian.... cause I'm going to be stuck with the Cinnamon desktop anyway~~
like yesterday I spent all morning booting into all the debian live CDs that I had; except for the standard which I think is GNOME, and none of them could even SEE my wifi or ANY wifi
now I hate that I seem like the person that just wants things to work instead of tinker w stuff to get it to work, cause that's part of the fun and frustration of being on linux I suppose~~~ and I really hope I'm smart enough to figure stuff out~~
would be happy to eventually jump to a more unix like OS cause I believe the backbone of the internet is UNIX anyway~~ :)
I like to think I'm a nerd and a techie but at the same time think I'm stupid and don't know anything~~ if I'm being brutally honest w myself~~ but I guess you got to be feeling stupid to learn huh?
tldr; and making the questions more easily found~~ my journey through linux/bsd computer systems so far, and where I'm at....
Is it worth it to install pure debian if I'm already using linux mint debian (and the wifi actually works), should I get away from SystemD and try to install PCLinuxOS? or FreeBSD? am I smart enough to install FreeBSD? What network information do I need and where can I find it?
and yet another random question at the bottom cause I remembered a linux youtube channel where they talked about a bunch of stuff way back in the 2010s I think called "Jupiter Broadcasting" what happened to them?
wanted to go eventually to FreeBSD cause it's more unix like than linux, and i think more cohesive as a whole as opposed to bits and pieces mossaic'd together in linux.... also if it is more unix based, unix as far as I'm aware is the backbone of the internet if I'm remembering correctly~~ and I'd be happy to use it~~~
so idk what I'm doing~~ lol, stay on linux mint debian cause it works? try to get FreeBSD installed, try to find out how to fix debian not seeing my WIFI (I'd hoped that if I installed it and connected it to ethernet that updates would fix that), or install PCLinuxOS that I found? cause it looks neat~~~
more history about myself~~ as dumb as it sounds, or maybe not, my dad was into tech, he'd built his first computer and if it wasn't for him pirating some version of windows, we never would've had it, lol. but ye he was a techie, and he showed me the 1995 movie "hackers". I watched that on repeat through my teenage years for some reason~~ the music was good, and now I learnt that that's not actually bow hacking works, lol it's a cheesy film.... but that sparked an interest in technology and eventually led me to finding linux to begin with. and Unix~~ cause I thought it was something that my dad and I could do together~~~ but we never did...... but the techie interest stuck~~~~ I need to rewatch that film and find the soundtrack CDs I have~~~ been a while~~~~
second guessing it am I even smart enough to run anything other than linux mint anyway? probably yes but I doubt my own intelligence, lol. especially I think anyone irl I've shown my writing to or talked to say that I'm "smart as a whip" but I don't see it.... :(

On the 9th of January 2025, I saw an article in my latest copy of Computer Active which explains about mastering Linux distros.
It suggested using a website called 'Distrosea' which hosts free virtual machines of various flavours of the Linux operating system, all of which can be ran within a browser window.
Visit the site here:
https://distrosea.com/
Here is a list of the Linux distros I had a go at running with their desktop environments:
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS - GNOME
Ubuntu 8.10 - GNOME 2 (old, 2008)
Linux Mint 22 - Cinnamon, Ubuntu base
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS - Cinnamon
Fedora Linux 40 - MATE
OpenSUSE Leap 15.5 - KDE
Alma Linux 9 - GNOME
Debian Linux 12.5 - LXqt (lightweight)
Zorin OS 17 Core64 - GNOME (configurable)
There are a total of 71 Linux operating systems to try on the website at the time of this write up.
To install, update and manage software on Linux using a package manager, the distros mentioned on this list based on Debian & Ubuntu use the APT (Advanced Package Tool) and the distros based on Fedora & Red Hat use the DNF (Dandified Yellow-Dog Updater Modified) package managers.
Their are many other types of package managers for Linux. Since Windows 11, users can choose to install software using UnigetUI (a.k.a Winget commands).
About Distrosea:
When you click on any of the distro entries before selecting a desktop environment, you can read a great description of the background information for each.
I think this website is amazing as it allows you to test distros in your browser without the need to plug in a USB or use virtual machine software. basically it gives you a live install copy of Linux to try online for free. It profits from ads shown on its homepage.
Some of the distros have a 'popular' badge, to show which ones are most likely to have more online traffic. Most of these distros are updated to latest versions available.
When you run the operating systems the system information dialogue will contain the server CPU information and displays the virtual graphics card called Red Hat, Inc Virtio 1.0 GPU.
However the site uses limited user traffic to reduce load on the servers, so when you select a version of Linux, there is a queue system. Each session is free, however it is timed when idle to create space for another user. Also the server connection, which is based in India, can disconnect you from your testing frequency, so whilst it works well you have to reset your VM which will continue where you last left off.
Also some of the Linux distros didn't automatically scale to full screen, and so leave bars at the top and bottom of the screen. The old Ubuntu remains surrounded by a large bar around itself as no modern drivers will work with this old version of Ubuntu.
You can sign into your Google account and gain internet access in your VMs as well.
Read the developers notes on Reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/139sj6z/distrosea_test_drive_linux_distros_online/?rdt=33513
I would recommend trying this out on a large computer screen as the distros take advantage of hardware acceleration, scaling and look great in full screen mode!
Watch this Distrosea video on YouTube to see it in action!
youtube
Remember that this is another way of testing Linux through the internet, the experience will be different if it is installed on an actual computer.

Melancholy, the doctor called it when Jimmy talked Scott into allowing an exam after the third time he refused to get out of bed. Not an uncommon affliction, he said. Prisoners with longer sentences were especially prone to it, he said. Not difficult to treat, he said, so long as Jimmy was careful with him.
Careful with him, like Scott was some fragile trinket that would shatter without the right care. Gods, he hated doctors.
(The doctor wasn't wrong though, was he? Something inside Scott had broken, and he hated that he didn't know what it was or how to fix it. He prided himself on being crafty in both senses of the word. He could mend anything - except, apparently, himself.)
Thankfully, Jimmy didn't seem inclined to treat Scott any differently than he had been, except for worried glances when he thought Scott wasn't looking and quiet anxious chirps in his throat that he didn't seem to notice. Some days Scott felt fine and some days he didn't, but on the days he didn't, the smile on Jimmy's face alone was worth the effort to try. Even if on some of those days he couldn't make it any farther than the sofa and Jimmy's arms, he tried.
Careful with him. Scott didn't need Jimmy to be careful with him. He just needed him to be around, and he was, and Scott loved him for it.
"How are you feeling today?" asked Jimmy over breakfast on a morning when Scott's mind felt clearer than it had in weeks.
"Hm?" Scott glanced up from his cinnamon roll, one finger in his mouth, and tried not to smirk as Jimmy's expression betrayed how easily his train of thought was derailed watching Scott suck the icing off it.
"Uh. I, um." Jimmy's ears were red, and oh, what Scott wouldn't give to know the details of what Jimmy was thinking about. "I was wondering if you felt up to a little trip today, is all."
"Sure. Where did you have in mind?" Scott leisurely tore another bite off his cinnamon roll, enjoying the way Jimmy's eyes tracked the movement of his hand to his mouth.
Jimmy exhaled shakily; it was quiet, but Scott was watching him too closely to miss it. Jimmy looked away with a hand on the back of his neck, trying to regain his composure. "Well, it's a bit of a surprise, really. Also I have something for you before we go."
"Ooh, a surprise and a present? Careful, pretty bird, or I might just think you're courting me," teased Scott, and laughed when a sharp whistle escaped Jimmy.
When they had finished breakfast and cleaning up, Jimmy made Scott wait in the living room while he went to fetch whatever it was he wanted to give him. Scott smiled at the way Jimmy's wings trembled in excitement, until Jimmy returned and Scott saw what he held in his hands.
"They might be a little dusty, being in storage so long, but everything should be there," said Jimmy, setting the items in Scott's lap. Scott stared at the colorful fedora, lifting it up and running his fingers over the brim. Its white feather was missing, but otherwise it was in perfect shape. So was the travel bag underneath it, and the neatly-folded coat with its patchwork colors that matched the hat, and the pair of boots Jimmy set on the floor next to him.
Scott set his hat on his head and pulled on his boots, then stood and pulled on his coat. It fit more loosely than it was meant to, even after three months of being able to eat whatever he wanted whenever he wanted, but it was his. He pulled it tighter around him, then looked at Jimmy with misty eyes.
Jimmy gave him a soft smile. "It suits you," he said quietly. "Well - I mean of course it would, it's yours after all. You look like a - a dashing adventurer with rakish charm!"
Scott laughed, and Jimmy beamed. "Thank you for these. I didn't think I would ever see them again." Jimmy sat down, and Scott wanted to kiss him, but he settled for a peck on the cheek as he took a seat and leaned against the canary. Jimmy put an arm around him, and they sat there together while Scott pulled items out of his bag one by one and gazed at them in wonder.
Even his iridescent dagger was there, and after a moment of hesitation and an uncertain look at Jimmy, Scott slid the sheath onto his belt. "Are you sure this is okay?" he asked, needing to be certain even though he knew Jimmy would have said something already if it wasn't.
"Of course," said Jimmy. "I trust you." He nudged Scott into standing up, then took his hand the moment they were both on their feet. "Come on, then, time for your surprise."
Scott followed him out of the house and through the city, marveling at how much more like himself he felt in his own clothes with his own bag at his side. Jimmy still glanced his way whenever he thought Scott wasn't looking, but this time the looks he gave him were warm and happy instead of worried. While they walked Scott wondered what Jimmy wanted to show him. He couldn't imagine what could possibly compare to getting his belongings back, until they reached the upper levels and stepped through the door of a building built directly into the side of the cavern.
What made Scott stop and stare wasn't what was immediately inside the doors. Just inside was only storage of some kind, crates and barrels whose contents Scott could only guess at, though the gardening tools hanging from pegs on the wall made him wonder. Then they stepped through a second set of doors, and Scott tightened his grip on Jimmy's hand as he gaped at the sight.
Sunlight streamed down from a glass-covered opening at the top of the cave. The air was warm, and instead of stone under his feet there was soft soil and new grass. A waterfall tumbled down one cliff face into a small pool. And the flowers. Flowers of every color filled the little grotto, some growing directly from the ground and some in planters. If he looked closely Scott could see where pipes brought in warmth and water, but other than that and the wooden door behind them, the cave looked for all the world like a little slice of summer made manifest.
He stepped forward and looked around in amazement, brushing his fingers over leaves and delicate petals. "Do you like it?" asked Jimmy. "It's for you. You can come here whenever you want, and if there's anything not to your liking I can have it redone or rearranged or - "
"It's perfect," said Scott in a strangled voice. "It's...I love it. It's beautiful."
"Oh, good," said Jimmy with relief, and Scott turned around to face him. Jimmy took his hand again, and the way he looked framed by flowers with sunlight shining in his golden hair left Scott breathless. He leaned closer to his canary before he even realized it, then stopped himself before he could go too far.
"Gods, I want to kiss you right now," he whispered instead, and his heart ached with longing.
"Then kiss me," murmured Jimmy.
Scott stared at him, and he had never been more tempted to make a mistake in his life. "What about Fwhip?"
Confusion flitted across Jimmy's face, followed by realization, and he laughed. "Oh! I guess you wouldn't know, would you?" Scott furrowed his brow, his own emotions still stuck on confusion, and Jimmy pressed his forehead against Scott's. "Fwhip and I have a... let's call it an understanding. He won't mind."
"You're sure?" asked Scott, heart pounding.
"I'm sure," said Jimmy. "I love him, you know that. But I love you, too. Is that okay?"
Hesitantly, eagerly, Scott's answer was to press his lips to Jimmy's. Jimmy wrapped his arms around him, returning the kiss, and for the first time in four years, Scott felt free.

Fedora Hat with Notches: A worn fedora. The holes on it make it look worthless, but it's essential for the owner to play a gentleman well.
Bamboo Cane: A bamboo staff which is a bit shorter than the common ones. Its outstanding resilience allows it to support most body movements, making it the best choice for stunt performers.
Cotton Hairband: An olive green cotton band tied to the end of her braid and makes both the braid and itself different to their kinds. It is the only thing on her that is not worn for imitation. Even if it looks plain, it's unique to her.

hi brandi! I wanted to ask if you know how to play TS2 fullscreen on fedora? to launch the game I use steam proton. it launches my game in a window >.<
Hello!
Are you on KDE Plasma, Cinnamon or GNOME? I know that in KDE Plasma, you can just right-click on the running application in the task bar and then go to "more" and select "fullscreen", as shown here with Vesktop:

There's probably also a way to do it via gamescope but that would be a bit more complicated.
I'm more confused why Steam starts it in windowed mode in the first place, because Lutris doesn't do that. I actually enabled gamescope in Lutris to play in windowed mode lol

Cinnamon was originally Reese's candy acid trip Angel that tried to steer her onto the right path
Whenever Cinna possessed Reese though She'd try and go talk to a certain fucking loser of a cop
And Tre was so confused because Reese hates his ass and she'd go from "FUCKING GO ROT IN THE A DUMPSTER YOU GAY ASS FEDORA WEARING BITCH!" To twirling her hair and giggling like "Uhm- Hi..."

@lemonadecroc asked:
the woman was in her bodyguard uniform, a black suit and pencil skirt, with a black tie as she took black fedora off to fan herself crossing her legs as she sat down, bobbling one of her tall black heels off the end of her foot "UGH! why does it gotta be so hot when i gotta be on patrol, so unfair" puffing up her cheeks and pouting like an actual child as she reached into her shirt and pulled out a wrapped cinnamon roll as her razor sharp teeth easily ripped through the sweet, then looking over "HEY YOUR THAT CUTE AMERICAN! HEY IM LEMON REMEMBER!" her mouth entirely full almost muffling her words as her eyes seemed to gleam and doing a little point to herself with her black gloved hand with her first finger

“Hm? Oh. Yeah. The giant lady.” He looked over her outfit briefly, raising an eyebrow, “What… are you working for, like… the Italian Mafia? Or some other kind of crime family? Because… uh, your uniform is a little outdated. You look like you walked outta mid-1930’s New York.”

What distro of linux are you running?
linux mint with the cinnamon de right now - i started with vanilla ubuntu, got sick of the way it looked, tried out kubuntu but kde felt way too buggy compared to gnome. was going to just reinstall ubuntu but i tried fedora after a friend recommended it (tried for like a hour to get a native linux game to run and gave up), tried linux mint after that and the experience has been relatively smooth and i prefer it to ubuntu.
i still probably wouldn't recommend linux to most people but it's honestly been fantastic for me! the few issues i have with it generally stem from a lack of support, and even then i kind of enjoy the tinkering around and eventually getting things to work. and of course i also hate microsoft
