That's in reference to Graystripe's canonical exile! It's often forgotten that Leopardstar was actually trying to kill Fireheart. If Graystripe hadn't shouted "WATCH OUT!" she would have cut his neck open with this really cool drop-claw-fall move.

She even rips open a massive gash on his shoulder, and it's noted if he hadn't moved back, he would have been dead. Graystripe saved his life. Then, Leopardstar wants to maul Fireheart, who is defeated from this shoulder wound. Graystripe doesn't let her.

And THAT is how he gets exiled.

For my rewrite, Feathertail and Stormfur learn one story from the patrol, the other side of it from Graystripe later, but always remember that Graystripe left them. That his loyalty to Fireheart won in the end.

They have a lot of lasting feelings about this abandonment.
