The thing about Vox Machina is that they are a frat party that woke up one morning after a drunken bender and decided to hunt down the serial killers who murdered their friend's family. One thing happened after another and they ended up taking out some very bad individuals in power at great personal cost, which propelled them to mythic status.

But fundamentally, VM is a college frat party that got impossibly attached to each other in the process of trying to do some good.

The Mighty Nein are a group of confrontational, distrustful pariahs who are vulnerable to outside influences that try to manipulate them into a villain arc. But after they completed trauma dumping and crisis bonding, they closed ranks and ground every single one of their personal demons to smithereens.

In essence, the MN are an exclusive, protective battle blender that only saves the world in order to save each other.

Bells Hells are defined by extreme stress. VM was trying to save the world, and the MN were on a self-actualization journey. Bells Hells have to do both of these things at once.

They're quick to trust, which opens them up for numerous betrayals. They don't have enough power to protect against the losses of friends or family. All they've got going for them is their collective aura of tragic weirdness and their full-on willingness to kill immortals (fucking delilah).

In a way, BH view themselves as monstrous abominations. They gain trust from the unlikeliest people and will try to befriend you if they think you're a fascinating monster like them. They've never agreed on anything ever, but they're open to a lot of impossible things and take it in stride. After all, their own existence is an impossibility. And I think that's fucking special.

Orym's little scene with Fearne was adorable, I'd been wondering why he took that spyglass. Laura adding her hand to the handhold "you have so many hands" "yeah, its best not to question it".

Loved them reacting to it snowing in whitestone.

Marisha: does a bad impression of Vex, Laura: "Imogen and Laudna are done" 😆

Imogen is giving up her Whitestone is for lovers shirt as an offering to the dawn father 🥲

Imogen: "I don't accept it." 😭

Ashton and Fearne's scene by the clock tower "My heavens". Laura looked so pissed at Ashton saying he only trusted Fearne. I did really want Fearne to take the shard, but oh well. Fearne running away after saying Ashton is hot gave me "I kiss her and I skateboard away" vibes. Do y'all think Fearne actually likes Ashton romantically? With Chet it just seemed sexual, but with Ashton it just feels different to me.

Happy to see Cassandra, I want to know more about what she has been up to.

Taliesin said he and Ashley are gonna talk of camera, I think Fearne x Ashton is a real possibility you guys!

We going to the ziggurat! Laudna is uncomfortable, I think her parents were probably among the bodies that lined the walls back then. Delilah definalty used them for some sort of experiment, waste not want not.

Ashton kissed Fearne but then said its never gonna happen again. Damn man, u playing with my heart, and Fearne's I think.

That makes so much sense! He thinks she just wants to sleep with them and doesn't realise she actualy has feelings for him. His assumption fits with both behaviour they've seen from her and his own ideas and feelings about him and his self worth.

still thinking about how from ashton's perspective, fearne says "i'll probably make my rounds through everybody", spends months will-they-won't-they-ing with chetney, finally hooks up with him, and then suddenly starts flirting with ashton instead. i'm not surprised ashton doesn't think she really wants him.

maybe i'm reading too far into it, but maybe ashton doesn't want to be part of fearne just making the rounds. (and maybe he wants something longer lasting, but they sure as hell arent gonna ask for it.)
