How do you think names work for reapers?

Do they get transfered to their afterlife and reapers just have the option to either go by their name or the number? Or do they get to choose their own names once they get reborn as reapers?

Names aren't really official in the human world, at least they aren't for reapers, since they are just ways to identify each other. It would make sense if the dispatch refused to use names of the reapers from when they were alive.

But that leads me to wonder whether UT could actually be Cedric?? Don't get me wrong, I'm fully on board with Grandpa!UT theory, but if he always went by his ID number, that could mean he never chose a name for himself, which would mean Cedric can't be his name since he has no name! That is of course, in the case that reapers have to name themselves.

I might just be thinking a bit too far into this though hehe 😅

Reaper names

Well, now that I'm reading Scythe by Neal Shusterman, I started to consider that perhaps Kuroverse reapers choose completely new names when they become reapers. Much like how royals can choose what name to use when they ascend to the throne or how clergy can choose new names to go by, "scythes" in that book series do this, usually choosing the last name of a scientist they particularly respect. Faraday, Curie, etc. In Kuroshitsuji we've seen a nod to Shakespeare himself, as well as to a priest who wasn't even born until February 17, 1888 (Ronald Knox).

However, we've also seen a Shakespearean character (Othello), a nod to a serial killer who wouldn't be born for several decades (Sutcliff), and two names (in the manga) that seem random (Sascha and Ludger). We haven't been given Sascha's or Ludger's full names -- or Othello's -- but it's probably safe to assume they have them.

It's entirely possible these are their actual names from before they died. If they go through karmic reincarnation (get reborn as reapers with their old souls), these could be the names they were born with as reapers.

The mere fact that Undertaker's name isn't known to Othello, since he preferred to use his registration number, increases the chances of it being Cedric K. Ros-- (whatever that is, like Rosewood, Rosedale, etc.). This allows Yana-san to make us wait even longer to learn the truth about him. Then, for some unknown reason, Undertaker wanted to cut ties with his old self. Even back then.

And Othello makes it sound like they usually go by names they had before they were registered. More specifically, these are "given names".

This suggests that, wherever the names come from, reapers don't typically choose them for themselves. Undertaker, despite being the epitome of a reaper, was breaking customs right from the start by using his registration number.

I'm curious now why Othello just says "most of our kind" instead of "all of our kind, except this one". What other reaper changed their name, and why?

Of course, this all lines up very well with one of Undertaker's parallels in Mother3. There are 7 Magypsies in the game, just as there are 7 named reapers in the manga. (Eric and Alan's names have never been mentioned in the manga; Anderson hasn't either.) They are all named after musical modes: Aeolia, Ionia, Lydia, Doria, Mixolydia, Phrygia, and Locria. Locria deserts the others and changes their name to Fassad (like a façade). We don't learn that Fassad was a Magypsy until a while after they're destroyed. But this works with how Undertaker uses a given number instead of a given name... and then changes it to something else when he deserts his position.

One way to find Undertaker's given name when he chose to go by 136649? Have someone pull his old registration files. The given name he chose not to use should be there. Othello just didn't know because he never looked. Probably never had access to it. But I bet William does. And Sascha and Ludger might have seen it, too, by now. After all, William is sharing intel with them.

Alright! Here's some info about Louis the Elsen

Louis acts very similarly to the stereotypical elsen. He is anxious, introverted, and while good intentioned, usually comes across as awkward/weird.

He is totally blind and has been since birth. He is able to vaguely "see" levels of light, but he relies mostly on his cane for getting around.

He is prone to near-constant bleeding (most often nose bleeding), which is why his shirt usually has at least a little blood on it. He gets very flighty/apologetic whenever it happens around others. He can tell it unnerves other elsen around him.

He's originally from Zone 1, but now lives in Zone 2 due to Dedan's strict rules making Zone 1 too inhospitable (ableism on Dedan's part, but since being transferred to Zone 2, he's not complaining)

Louis is the ONLY person who knows Bandit's actual name (Varik Fassad), and the only person who knew him that's still around before he started going by Bandit. They like to stick together.

How'd you learn to do pixel art? All your art is so cohesive and well done !

I sat on this ask a while, because I feel like there's a good bit of responsibility in answering this kind of question in a way that is actually useful to people who might want to get into it.

The way I talk about the path I took as a pixel artist could make people who are trying to become a pixel artist too spin their wheels for a while if it's not very applicable to them, y'know?

But, long story short: I first learned how to do pixel art through imitation. i.e. my first sprites were sprite edits. I think an edit I made of Mother 3's Fassad to look more like his non-reconstructed self is still floating around out there. Even to this day, I'll occasionally see a piece of pixel art floating around, and steal an element of its construction for my own toolkit.

(that's the cool thing about pixels - the process is very transparent, it's quite easy to observe and imitate art you like with it!)

Eventually, I' started wanting to do more original work, and would first edit pre-existing sprites into my own characters, then create their sprites from scratch. This process also coincided with my traditional art improving - and like all art forms, practice really is the best way to improve. You don't just do pixel art once a month; you do it several times a week, and exit your comfort zone whenever you can.

I used to hate doing tileset-work, because it was difficult and tedious. Now, I love it, because it lets me build environments! And that's all thanks to practice.

Having a background in art in some fashion is also very useful for improving at pixel art, or having a good pre-existing foundation. Pixels are an unruly, but well-understandable medium once you learn how to read them. Even if you do other art usually, don't expect to immediately create the perfect piece with pixels when you first start - it'll take time!

As for tutorials, I used them quite frequently, and they're a great way of decoding how to circumvent mistakes and pixel difficult motifs. This website holds a bunch of the tutorials I used:

Natalie stood patiently outside the Barton's brownstone. A small but sturdy fassade, cozy as the family living within that worked hard to keep this little piece of the 'american dream' they had carved out for themselves in this world.

Sundays were quiet, Natalie had learned during her friendship with Bucky and Steve, who lived here almost as much as he lived at home. "Are you coming or waiting for me to grow roots, Barnes!" She called out, teasing. Her friend had actually managed to talk his parents into letting him have the car today and he had shown up bright and early at the hospital yesterday to invite her along to the beach. Of course the answer had been yes.

So, here Natalie waited, her red hair pulled back by a navy blue head scary she had tied loosely into her hair, matching the naval theme of pants and top she had chosen for a change. She didn't get to wear pants a lot and while she liked the dresses and skirts, a day like this called for something special and she was looking forward to the day out in the sun.

riven happened to be one of the first specialist, to get a girlfriend. even though most of the people hated the way, he was so overly passive agressive and searching for a fight in any way, you found yourself falling for this boy pretty quickly. you knew, behind his fassade, there had to be something deeper. nobody denied or wondered, that your feelings were mutual. he was so into you, but both of you didn’t notice anything about anothers feelings. until, he confessed his love as he noticed, that he was at the point, he couldn’t deny his feelings anymore. it went out well, and you started to hold hands and hug another when you met. 

although, everything went well in the beginning, since the day the students got their days off school, you two hadn’t seen another. it was more than a month, you hadn’t seen another and the only you had gotten related to him, was a text. a text, at least. you weren’t mad about it, you both had scheduels and things to attend to, when you got out of school, but you were missing him, alot, but to risk being a bother wasn’t something you were taking willingly, so you didn’t. even as you got back into school, the thought of being a whole bother to your boyfriend wasn’t really calming, or something you could just shrug off. that’s why, the nights got more sleepless, the days bothered even more and thoughts got more negative.

it was the first week of the second year of school, the lessons you could assign to weren’t important and optional, so you decided to just attend to the lesson, that had you struggeling. lucky you, on monday you hadn’t had any subjects that were in need for your extra knowledge, so you sat on the schoolyard of alfea. your mind was constantly wandering off to riven, the boy that had you wonder the most these days. tecna, a very close friend of yours, sat next to you, as she looked at you from the side. now she began to speak: “what’s wrong these days, yn?”

as if tecna were a ghost, your head shot into her direction, looking at her with confused and shocked eyes. she just smiled, while you began to get nervous. “something wrong.. what?” you asked, but you couldn’t deny, you were quite glad somebody asked you about it. tecna smirked “i can’t help but notice the way you’re struggeling. you know, you can talk to us, winx. we’re all friends, alright?” you nodded, then bit your lip. “it’s just.. i don’t know, rivens ways of showing his affection are so.. weird. it’s not that i don’t appreciate the way, he is trying or stuff, but i just don’t know how to handle this anymore. i haven’t seen him in so long.” you sighed, blew a strand of hair out of your face, as tecna laughed. “why didn’t you say so? i got this, just wait.” tecna gave you a big smile, then she ran off, leaving you behind with even more confusion. but you could guess, what she was doing.

the whole winx club came back, they were waving at you and smiling brightly. “ah, yn. you were pretty lovesick were you? i know, i know. we all miss our boyfriends.” stella laughed, as she send you a wink. you were blushing already, looking at tecna, which held her hands up in defense. “i didn’t tell them you were lovesick or something among those lines, i just said.. that riven messed with your head a bit.” she tried to defend herself, as bloom got into the discussion. “wait, he didn’t hurt you? or did he?” as an answer to blooms question, you shook your head. “no, that’s not it. i was just kinda.. thinking too much into some of his actions.” you sighed, as stella nodded. “well, i get that. we haven’t seen them in some time, i mean, those days off school were giving us pretty much freetime, still, we all haven’t seen them since.” you agreed to stella.

she was right, you were missing riven. that would be it, you thought. in distance, you all could hear and see the specialists. you heart was racing a mile, as the boys stopped their vehicles in front of the gates of alfea. you felt like you were being stopped from moving, mostly because you didn’t know if you’d like to hug him, just smile at him or even kiss him? since riven and you got into the relationship, the most romantic it had gotten was a kiss on his cheek, as a goodbye at the start of the days off school. it was the last time, you had seen another. he had recated quite cute, blushed and smiled at you, a sight you hadn’t seen too often. now, you didn’t know.

lost in thought, you watched the boys get off their vehicles, as riven inspected you already. you couldn’t help but send him a smile, a soft one, that had him blushing a bit. brandon and stella were already falling into anothers arms, sky and bloom had their own moment, while you and riven just inspected another. you felt helpless and riven noticed, that’s why he started to walk up to you. your face probably turned red, but you didn’t care, since you couldn’t help but to get more flustered under his gaze. he stopped in front of you, your face was facing his, as you opened your mouth to speak. “hello” was the only thing you were able to say, his eyes were focused on you, as if you were the last human standing.

his grinned, as he noticed your nervousness. “hello, you too.” he said, then he spoke again “you owe me this one.” after that sentence was spoken, he bowed down to you, slowly laying his lips upon yours. it felt like your lips were melting into another, your hands searching for steadiness, resting them on his chest, as if they belonged there. all your bad thoughts, mood swings and tiredness were blown away, as if they never existed to you. riven was here, kissing you, as if you were the only one for him, giving you the feeling of safety. as you two broke the kiss, you could hear the others talking to another, your eyes were wandering off in every else direction, although you noticed rivens orbs, peering yours, as he took your face into one of his big, warm hands.

“look at me, we haven’t seen another in so long.” , he said, as he slowly turned your head, to face him. he looked at you, as you started to smile.

so the feeling of missing was mutual, huh.

So does the lightning machine turn on during a very specific timeframe? Otherwise, how does no one figure out the Pigmask Army are the ones causing the natural disaster that’s fucked up their home and forced them to take in Fassad’s twisted gossip? Especially since the tower can be seen via a telescope from Club Titiboo.

Maybe the Pigmask Army claim ignorance or state the tower wasn’t theirs whenever someone asked? Maybe???? Maybe the townsfolks are really just that naive and ignorant to think beyond what they see on the surface? Did the game ever answer this? I don’t remember.

Is Grell really a trans woman? I not trying to be disrespectful, I'm just really curious. I recently bought vol. 28 (in spanish) and Grell called themself a lady but still used he/him pronouns when talking about themselfs. I thought they were just an effeminate man (I have met several gay men who sometimes call themselves women, idk they find it funny or something). So,,, has Yana confirm Grell is trans? Can you show me where?

⚠️ I generally don’t go and bother individuals regarding the pronouns and gender they choose to use for their own characterizations of Grelle, so I ask that no one give me a hard time for what I’m about to say here. I will not tolerate anyone who reads this and verbally attacks me. ⚠️

Grelle… and the Magypsies

When I first joined the fandom, I assumed Grelle to be an effeminate gay man and used masculine pronouns for the character all the time. It doesn’t help that the licensed translations tend to characterize Grelle that way. The French version of the Character Guide even explicitly calls Grelle an “effeminate transvestite homosexual”. Some characters insist on calling Grelle by masculine pronouns. Grelle admits to being “male”, but the licensed English translation even goes so far as to have Grelle say “man”.

Then I started reading really good, strong evidence in favor of Grelle being trans. Also, my growing Mother3 theory suggested I should reconsider my old stance on Grelle’s gender. I stopped using masculine pronouns for Grelle, and I honestly avoid pronouns as best I can. You might have noticed while reading this.

Yana-san has blogged and tweeted trying to explain Grelle’s gender, but she’s never said “trans woman”. That’s because the term isn’t really in her vocabulary. In Japan, they say “okama”. It’s an umbrella term for a diverse group of people. It’s a bit like saying LGBTQ… but in a less respectful way. Seriously, it can mean a gay man, a cross-dresser (like a drag queen or even potentially a straight transvestite), or a trans woman. The Japanese traditionally lump them all together… and, in the entertainment industry at least, often treat them like comic relief.

Grelle is treated like comic relief early on in the manga… and generally treated that way in the anime, so far. But Yana-san has since tried to explain Grelle this way “the body of a man but the heart of a maiden”. And she has allowed Grelle to become a more serious character over the course of the series, even if still over-the-top at times.

I talk about parallels to Mother3 quite frequently here, and Grelle’s parallel is quite telling. The most direct parallel is to a Magypsy named Ionia. Ionia’s color is green, but that doesn’t matter. Their personality matches best with Grelle. Ionia is brash and flamboyant, insists on wearing makeup, and says a thing or two that suggests an interest in sadomasochism. 👀 All the Magypsies are of questionable gender. They have been referred to at times as “genderless”, but some of them display pronoun preferences, etc. And they each look potentially trans, except Fassad, who looks more like a cis man. Oh, and each one is associated with a bright color. Except Fassad/Locria, again, who wears white.

When asked about why he included characters like the Magypsies, Itoi explained that since the real world includes such diverse people, the world of Mother3 should, as well. I like that answer. Hell, I went to PetSmart today, and my cashier was a drag queen, and I mean in full-on drag: big poofy wig, thick makeup, deep voice, blouse, polka dot mini skirt, pantyhose, heels, etc. And it wasn’t even afternoon yet. I just say “keepin’ it weird in Austin”. Art imitates life. So, yes. Games should include diverse characters, too.

If you include Fassad, there are seven Magypsies. Locria deserts the others and changes their name to Fassad (like a facade)… and looks the most masculine of the bunch; this allows Fassad to go unrecognized as a Magypsy until the character has already been truly defeated. Similarly, if you include Undertaker/136649, we have met seven reapers in the manga (we see Eric and Alan, but we don’t meet them… or even see their names in print). And we know that 136649 deserts the other reapers and changes his name to Undertaker. He goes unrecognized as a reaper until he reveals his eyes.

TL/DR: There’s pretty strong evidence that Yana-san intends for Grelle to be trans, and I do now fall firmly in the “Grelle is trans” camp. I still avoid pronouns, but yes.

His brother, the psychologist - Part 1/3

“Behave yourself”, she had told him when he left the house. When he came back, she would be away for the night shift. Behave, what was she thinking? That he would jump at the other participants of the group therapy's throats?

With his hands deeply buried in his pockets Eren walked past the well known Streets of his home town. He grew up here, only a few blocks away from their current apartment was the school he attended. He knew stories about every house, every pothole reminded him of something. Memories that had formed his personality to be who he was today. What was a person without memories? His mother had eventually become an empty shell that had no resemblance with the loving person that she used to be. He didn’t want to be an empty shell and if he needed therapy because of it, he wondered who was the crazier one, him or his doctors.

He reached his destination, a six-story high old building with crumbling stucco around the windows. The modern full glass front door, that opened with a simple pull, didn’t fit in with the rest of the fassade. Reluctantly Eren entered the building - no lift, splendid!

When he reached the fourth floor, his pulse was beating heavily within his carotid. He already was in better shape before. With a quick look at his watch he noticed that he was several minutes too late. He still pushed the door saying “Dr. Zeke Jäger - conversational therapy” with an obviousness open that was looking for their equal.

When he had heard a vivid voice talking from inside, so did they fall quiet the second the new arrival stood iffley under the doorframe.

“Eren, what a surprise”, Zeke blandly stated and rose from his chair. He placed his clipboard behind him and did some steps towards his younger brother.

At first glance nobody would have known that the two men could be brothers. While Eren was a dark type, Zeke had short, blond hair, wore round glasses and a thick full beard. Looking twice, one might notice that they had the same eyes.

Before Zeke could come too close towards his brother, Eren reached out his right hand holding the letter of referral from Dr. Hans. “My doctor is sending me. They’re afraid I might shoot a bullet through my brain.”

With surprise Zeke took the completely wrinkly letter from his hand. “I already told you several times, that you are always welcome here. You still could have given me a short call beforehand.”

Eren rolled his eyes. “I’ll just get that chair there in the back?” It wasn’t a real question since he crossed the room with long steps without waiting for an answer, getting a chair from the furthest corner and simply placing it between two other chairs in their ridiculously typical circle. He sat down between two blondes, one massive man with the hint of a beard and rigid face and one… well, what did we have there? Through his chin long blond hair, he couldn’t make out their features.

“Well”, Zeke said with a low sigh. “As you can see, we seem to have a new face between us. That’s Eren, he”, he sighed, loud and theatrical this time. “is my little brother. Would you like to introduce yourself to the group first?”

“I’m good, I’ll listen to what the others have to say at first.” Eren’s eyes wandered over the faces of the attendees. Across from him sat a dark haired woman with heavy freckles and ennerved features, then there was the empty chair with Zeke’s clipboard and on her other side sat another dark haired woman on whose chair crutches were leaning. On the very first glance none of them looked like they needed treatment from Zeke, except for maybe the Bull besides him.

Zeke returned to his place and brushed sighing with thumb and pointer over his full eyebrows. “Okay, then each in turn - Reiner, you’re first.”

Reiner was the bull besides Eren. He told about an operation as a soldier in Mali, an exploding pickup. He was hurled twenty meters through the air but stayed unharmed as if through a miracle. When he crawled back to the pickup to look after his comrades, they all were dead. Since then again and again he asked why he stayed unharmed. To be honest Eren did the same when he watched the mountain of muscle crying for several seconds.

“It’s good that you can let your feelings out by now, Reiner”, Zeke praised him after a moment of silence. Oh yeah, his dear brother, the psychologist.

The woman next to Reiner gave him a box of tissues from the floor. Then Zeke ordered her to introduce herself. Her name was Pieck Finger and she was suffering from multiple sclerosis. At first Eren thought he could have found someone that could understand him, the prospects for this disease weren’t that great either. But Pieck was simply the happiest and most positive person, he had met in a long time. When she raved enthusiastically about being able to tie her shoes alone again after getting a new medication, Eren would have loved to throw up.

After Pieck Zeke gave the floor to the woman on his right, her Name was Ymir. She had a brain tumor - inoperable. “I can drop dead any time, I don’t even know why  to get out of bed in the morning anymore.” She wasn’t a woman of large words. Eren like that.

Finally Zeke turned to the person on Eren’s left. The hair had hidden away the face for the whole time while they stared to the ground like crazy.

“Armin, you were interrupted talking when Eren arrived. Would you now please tell your story?”

So it was a guy, infelicitous hairdo.

Armin slowly raised his head, piercing blue eyes stared at the wall opposite him. “My name is Armin Arlelt and I've been coming here for three weeks. Back than I was released from a mental clinic because I tried for the third time to commit suicide.”

hey friend! I've been sobbing over mother 3 again lately and I have another question! is it at all possible to make claus cry in the second/final battle with him? I've always either run out of PP or turns before I ever figured it out

What a great question!  I spent all evening trying to see what I can do and there’s probably more that I could find so I’ll tell you what I’ve tried so far.

The short answer is no, unfortunately.  But at the very least I found a few mildly interesting things along the way.

Long answer under the cut- sorry that it got a bit lengthy!  I’ve been saving game files because I’ve been wanting to make Mother 3 videos so that I don’t hit everyone with huge text walls all the time.

When using items in the battle against Claus, Lucas will use self/team items as normal (though obviously if it’s any kind of teammate revival item it’s pointless to use).  Items that are equip-type (or, at least, weapon equips) cannot be used under the item menu until the first turning point of the battle, even if the weapon isn’t equipped.  So Lucas won’t let himself use the DCMC Pamphlet (even though he wasn’t holding it) because the game thinks you’re trying to attack Claus.  But before I go any further I’m going to clarify that the Claus battle has 3 phases:

Phase 1:  Battle Start

During this phase, Lucas refuses to attack.  Any attempt to use equip weapon fails.  Any attempt to use enemy buff/debuff items fails.  Basically anything that targets Claus won’t work.

Phase 2:  Flint’s Sacrifice

This is triggered by Flint shielding Lucas from 2 consecutive PK LOVE attacks.  Outraged, Lucas can now freely attack.  You can attack both physically and with PK moves, though PK Flash fails.  Equip weapons can now be used in the item menu without Lucas stopping you.  A prompt about Hinawa being saddened pops up the first time you attack Claus.

Phase 3:  Memories

This is triggered by the flashback cutscene.  As Claus’s attacks lessen, Lucas will begin to stop fighting Claus by intentionally missing physical attacks (he closes his eyes while performing the bash command).  You can still use offensive items and PK LOVE against him, though it’ll saying stuff like “Lucas felt heartbroken” and “his heart ached”.

So in order to test how items would affect Claus, I had to wait until phase 2 of the battle starts.  There’s lots of items I haven’t tried, but here’s what I found so far:

Items like explosives deal damage as they should

Except the New Year’s bomb doesn’t work- they’re all duds if you buy a bunch

Enemy buffs/debuffs don’t have any effect on Claus

Items with pre-scripted effects (ex: the chicken and the silver dragonfly) will carry out their effects as normal and be consumed (ex:  the chicken freaks out and runs off)

Pretty much all of my equip stuff lying around didn’t do anything

That said, the “Friend’s Yo-yo” and “Handy Yo-yo” items both cause Claus to applaud.  I’m not going to lie- I thought the screencaps I saw of that were completely fake!  Interestingly enough it doesn’t have to be Ness’s yo-yo, meaning either Porky or Claus really like yo-yo tricks…?

The memento items (at least Doria’s and Fassad’s) don’t do anything

By accessing the debug room the game will give you Lucas’s favorite food as an item.  Eating Omelets doesn’t get a response from Claus.

The most time consuming thing I did was perform a huge workaround in order to get the Drago fang weapon to the battle.  Unfortunately it doesn’t do anything.

Here’s a short list of random stuff I tried and they didn’t do anything:  hermit crab shell, dolphin’s ossicle, enemy bufferizer, trivia card 4, dcmc pamphlet, fly charm, red hat, mole cricket brother

Claus slips violently on the ancient banana.

No, I’m not joking.  The banana works for some reason.  He takes mild damage from it.

Item tdlr;  the yo-yo items get a response and he slips on bananas but nothing else I tried so far did anything.  More testing is needed.

So naturally my other thought was to try and severely damage Claus.  Using the debug room, I set Lucas’s level to 99 and battled.  It’s a lot easier because of the stats but regardless of how much I attack him it doesn’t seem to do anything.  The New Years’s Eve Bomb doesn’t work and neither does PK Flash so they probably gave him an absurdly high HP so that we couldn’t end the battle if we tried.  I heard rumors that the game crashes if you reduce his HP to 0.  I also heard another rumor that the game heals his HP every turn and doesn’t tell you.  I have no way of figuring either of those out, currently.

The last notable part of all this is that in my experiment to get the Drago fang to the battle, I used a debug room trick to get Flint into phase 3 of the battle.  You see, in the debug room the game lets you keep 5 people in your party at once instead of 4.  So I tacked Flint onto the end of the party order and died in the debug room so that Flint would follow us in chapter 8.

Now the funny thing about having 5 party members is that the fifth person doesn’t count in the battle.  If the first 4 party members die then it’s game over, despite the 5th person being alive and healthy.  So when I went into the Masked Man fight Kumatora, Duster and Boney were KO’d and Flint wasn’t in the battle prompt (as per usual with 5th party members).  The battle carried out exactly the same until phase 3.

If you remember, phase 3 of the battle is when the interface clears Kumatora, Duster, and Boney out so that it’s just Lucas and Claus.  Except now the game has somewhere to put Flint so it’s just Lucas and him against Claus.  Claus will randomly distribute attacks to the both of them, though at this phase his attacks are weak.  The weird thing is that the battle is scripted so that Lucas gets a turn to make a move but Flint doesn’t get any battle turns, despite the player still choosing what Flint is going to do that turn.

I kinda want to mess around and see what happens if you change up the party member order or if (instead of Flint, a regular party member) you use a temporary party member like Alec instead.  Do temp party members get a turn?  What happens if I use the debug room to bring Claus to the fight?  It’s interesting, though I’m not sure there will be that much of a change.

All that said, thank you very much for the question!   There’s still some stuff I can test out but I think that covers the basics.  Feel free to ask about stuff like this any time- I love this sort of stuff!
