farmer!remus who names every single one of his animals, no matter what
farmer!remus who gets a passion for woodworking through his farm as he insists on building everything he needs himself
farmer!remus who mentions in passing once how the manual labour makes his joints hurt, only to officially and hopelessly fall for you when you unpromptedly hand him a cream the next time you see each other that supposedly alleviates joint pain
farmer!remus who spins and dyes his own yarn from the wool he collects from his sheep that he gifts his mum and uses in his own fibre projects
farmer!remus who in his spare time knits green baby hats for the local NICU with yarn from his own farm
farmer!remus who is an absolute sweetheart that chose the life he deserved and had it become a hundred times better when you waltzed into it with an endearing smile

One Day at a Time - Ch. 9: Farmer’s Market
Pairings: Dave York x Female Reader
Series Summary: A man washed ashore, with no memory, and no name, finds a home and a life in the middle of nowhere.
Author's Notes: This story has been sitting in my drafts for over a year, waiting for the perfect moment to see the light of day. It wasn't until recently that I found the inspiration to finally finish the last two chapters, thanks to the incredible Keri @absurdthirst. Her story, "Washed Up," struck a chord with me—it had such a similar plot and concept to what I had in mind, and it reignited my passion to bring this piece to life. Keri's writing has been a constant source of solace and inspiration, and I'm endlessly grateful for her creativity and the way she crafts stories that speak to the soul. If you haven’t checked out her work, you absolutely should!
Warnings: Please be aware that this story contains elements of violence, explicit sexual content, and pregnancy. Additionally, there are medical inaccuracies throughout—because I don’t work in the medical field, so please take it all with a grain of salt. Enjoy the ride, and thank you for reading! 😊

As the months passed, the farm began to settle into a new rhythm. The initial shock and loneliness after Dave’s return to his old life had slowly been replaced by a sense of determination. You were carrying his child, and that gave you a reason to keep moving forward.
With the demands of running the farm becoming more challenging as your pregnancy progressed, you realized you couldn’t manage everything on your own. Tom, your long-time farm hand, had been reliable so as long as you do the morning chores, but even with his help, there were tasks that required more than what you could offer in your current condition.
That’s when you decided to hire an additional farm hand. Nick came highly recommended by a neighboring farm. He was younger, strong, and had a quiet demeanor that immediately put you at ease. From the moment he arrived, Nick proved himself capable, quickly integrating into the daily operations alongside Tom. The two of them worked well together, allowing you to focus more on your work, your health and the upcoming birth of your daughter.
With Nick and Tom managing the heavy lifting, the farm continued to thrive. The vegetables grew strong, the animals were well cared for, and you found yourself with enough energy and time to focus on preparing for the baby’s arrival. One of your projects was turning Dave’s old bedroom into a nursery.
You spent hours each day in that room, painting the walls, arranging the furniture, and folding tiny clothes. It was therapeutic, in a way—a chance to focus on the future, even as the memories of the past lingered in the corners of your mind. As you worked, you often found yourself talking to the baby, imagining the day you would finally meet your child.
One afternoon, as you arranged a set of small wooden blocks on a shelf, you spoke softly to your growing belly, a foot poking out of one side. “Your daddy used to sleep in this room, you know? He’d probably think it’s good that we’re turning it into a nursery.”
You paused, running a hand over your belly, feeling the slight flutter of movement. “I wonder what you’ll be like… I hope you have his eyes, and his smile. He had a nice smile… when he used it.”
The baby kicked again, and you smiled, placing both hands on your belly. “You’re getting strong, little one. I can’t wait to meet you. I hope you like the farm. It’s quiet here, but it’s a good place. You’ll see.”
Meanwhile, your weekends were spent at the local farmer’s market, selling produce and other products created from your humble farm. The market was bustling with activity, filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of fresh produce and homemade goods. It was a welcome distraction from the solitude of the farm, and you found yourself looking forward to it each week.
It was at the market that you first met Rob. An older man with a kind smile and a gentle demeanor, Rob had a way of making everyone feel at ease. He reminded you of your stepfather, who had helped raise you and had long since passed on. There was a warmth in Rob’s eyes, a quiet strength that drew you to him, and before long, you found yourself looking forward to seeing him every weekend.
But beneath Rob’s kind exterior, there was something more—something you couldn’t see. Rob knew more about you than you realized. He had been watching, observing from the shadows, long before you ever went to DC. Rob wasn’t just a friendly face at the market; he was Robert McCall, and he knew that Dave was still alive.
McCall had always had a way of uncovering the truth, and Dave’s supposed death had been no exception. While everyone else believed Dave York was gone, McCall had his doubts. He had tracked the currents, studied the tides, and pieced together the clues that others had missed. When he finally traced Dave’s path to your small seaside town, he knew it was only a matter of time before the past came knocking on your door.
As he got to know you, McCall’s suspicions were confirmed. He saw the way you talked about the man who had been in your life—the man you believed to be just a lost soul who had washed ashore. McCall knew better. He knew that Dave York was more than just a survivor; he was a man with a past that couldn’t be outrun.
Despite his suspicions, McCall had kept his distance, waiting, watching. He knew Dave would return eventually. Men like Dave didn’t just disappear—they always came back, drawn by the ties they couldn’t sever, the connections they couldn’t forget.
One Saturday at the market, as you and Rob chatted about the latest harvest, “You’ve done well for yourself,” Rob said, his tone as warm as ever. “The farm’s thriving, and you’re about to be a mother. It’s no small feat.”
You smiled, appreciating the compliment. “It’s been hard work, but it’s worth it. I just want to make sure everything’s ready for the baby.”
Rob nodded, his eyes glinting with a hint of something unreadable. “You’re strong, that’s clear. But strength comes from facing what’s ahead, not just what’s behind.”
His words lingered in the air, and you felt a momentary unease, though you couldn’t pinpoint why. “Thanks, Rob. That means a lot.”
As you walked away, you felt a slight shiver, as if sensing the undercurrents of something you couldn’t quite understand. But you shook it off, focusing instead on the tasks ahead—preparing the nursery, running the farm, and getting ready for the arrival of your baby.
McCall watched you go, his mind already a few steps ahead. He knew that Dave would return, and when he did, McCall would be ready. But for now, he would bide his time, keeping close, waiting for the moment when the past would catch up with the present.

Had a lot of fun playing Age of Empires 2 with @thirteen-jades and @cyberbun tonight. We did two maps against hard AI, which we now seem to be capable of consistently beating both individually and in equal teams.
The first was a nomad + regicide game, the three of us against 5 teamless AIs in a random multi-continent map.
What these settings mean is that all the players start without a base, but may build one wherever and whenever they wish. It's a bit of a balance between getting one built as soon as possible to get ahead economically and looking for a good spot that will have enough resources and favorable geography to be useful long-term.
And the regicide setting means each player has a king unit whose survival is linked to that player's. If the king dies, the player immediately loses.
I was playing Gurjaras (cavalry and camels), Jade was playing Armenians (infantry and naval), and Lottie was playing Huns (cavalry).
This one started with all three of us unfortunately spread apart too far to reinforce each other in the early game, but fortunately this was not an issue since we were all capable of taking care of ourselves, especially with the AI sometimes fighting itself rather than attacking our team.
As is often the case when I'm not just supporting my sisters I took down my closest opponent first through some rather extreme harassment with light cavalry, killing dozens and dozens of villagers until they finally surrendered once my elephants started breaking down their town.
Jade then took down an enemy by herself while Lottie and I contained the goth tide coming from the west (I added hand cannons to my composition to deal with them). After bringing down the enemy king's castle I dived him with light cavalry and killed him before he could escape to another castle, instantly taking them out.
Following this, I joined Jade in sieging the Poles to the south, building a ton of stables and pumping out lots of camels to counting their horses, on top of my discounted light cavalry to cover Jade's artillery and cause chaos. It was a lot of fun, even if my starting location ended up being kind of low on wood. I don't really need that much wood with Gurjaras anyway given some animals to garrison in my mills.
The second game was a bit more dangerous. We played in a pretty small open map in a 3v3 against hard AI. Both Jade and Lottie wanted to go for horse civilizations (Poles and Huns respectively) so I decided to add to the team bonus synergy with Mongols.
I started out by attacking the enemy closest to me (Goths, an infantry civ) with a scout rush. I got a bit of success with that before they started making a whole lot of discounted pikes. As I saw this coming, I had prepared a bunch of skirmishers to defend at home. This turned out to be a really good idea once they eventually counter-attacked with a good amount of spearmen.
At the same time, Jade got hit pretty hard by two of the AIs at once, with some of the aggression spilling over to Lottie as well. Unfortunately, the enemy attack was synchronized well enough that my units were busy defending. Besides, skirmishers are extremely ineffective against the Frankish knights that were attacking them, so I decided that the best way to help would be trusting them to survive and doing my best to swing the tempo back through light cavalry and horse archer raids.
This was a grand success, as my skirmishers kept their own army of skirmishers and spearmen distracted on the front while my horses went around and completely cleared their entire wood line and even a bunch of the farms, then also disrupted the enemy trade by shooting down all the caravans arriving at the market. The pressure was enough to completely break that opponent and cause the first surrender in the game.
With that done, I started to push back against the Frank player whose cavalry had been terrorizing my sisters early in the game, defeating their army and taking down a castle plus several production buildings. Around the same time, my allies overran the last enemy player (Koreans) with their own cavalry and forced them to abdicate, with the Franks following soon after thanks to Jade and Lottie sneaking into the back of their town with their own armies and completely destroying their economy.
It was fun enough that the other me is really excited to play more of the game herself as soon as possible.

Patty was a young Irish immigrant in her mid-twenties with fair skin and green eyes. She kept her strawberry-blonde hair pulled into a bun with strands framing her face, and she had a white maid's cap. She wore a maid's uniform consisting of a modest black dress with puffy shoulders, brown shoes and white gloves.
Synopsis
Patty was the victim in Slash and Burn. She was an Irish immigrant who moved to Concordia a few years before the current time. She was employed as a maid for Oscar Trefusis and worked alongside the butler Colin James. Trefusis had confiscated her identification paperwork, preventing the woman from quitting and forcing her to be his slave. He paid almost nothing for her work and would order her to do the most horrible tasks, even if they were not usually her job.
While in Concordia, she became friends with Mary Patrick, a fellow Irish immigrant. While Patty didn't have much free time, when she did, she enjoyed spending it with Mary at the market. The older woman had a cart where she sold products from her farm, and sometimes, Patty helped her. When she could afford it, Patty would buy fresh homemade bread from Mary, who made some of the best soda bread in Concordia.
Patty also assists Mary in bringing her cousin Harriet and Daisy the cow to the city by lending her friend money, with the promise that Harriet would pay her back after her arrival. Patty planned to help the young girl find work, hopefully in a better place than where she worked. She didn't want to see another immigrant's dreams of a better life in America get crushed like hers had because of Trefusis. Harriet was so happy to be living in Concordia, and Patty didn't want to see the young woman lose the light in her eyes.
Leading up to her murder, she was involved in a brief relationship with Aidan Moran, but the relationship ended as quickly as it began. Patty found the sailor to be shallow and stupid. She considered him far from a gentleman and broke up with him after just one date. Of course, Aidan didn't take the rejection well, but Patty escaped before he could seriously hurt her.
During the fire in New Haven, Patty was murdered by her coworker Colin. She walked in on the butler attempting to steal from their employer and swore she would report Colin to Trefusis. Colin, fearing going back to jail, chased Patty into the burning streets of New Haven and stabbed her to death. And while he may have killed her to prevent going back to jail, in the end, Colin was arrested and sent to the very place he never wanted to be in again.

National Farm Animals Day
Farm animals take quite the hit in terms of living conditions, diets, hormonal injections, etc., and this is why it is important to lend our voices to the cause this National Farm Animals Day on April 10. First celebrated in 2005, the day is meant to bring awareness to the overall rough conditions that farm animals are forced to live under. Capitalism has led to a gross increase in demand for livestock by commercial brands. To sell the most amount of meat and dairy products, animals are subjected to growth and antibody injections.
History of National Farm Animals Day
National Farm Animals Day was first commemorated in 2005 by Colleen Paige. Paige is a  well-known celebrity pet lifestyle expert, an author, and an animal rescuer amongst her many other accolades and titles. While the day is not registered as an official day, it is still widely celebrated in the U.S. as the message it aims to convey resounds with many across the nation.
One of the main reasons the day was inaugurated was to shed light on the poor living conditions of farm animals. Firstly, because of commercialization and capitalism, livestock is produced and maintained in large populations. Often, this means cramped and extremely tight living spaces for the animals. All of this leads to poorer health conditions for them as diseases and infections can spread easily amongst the animals. Moreover, to market products to the masses, farm animals are also endlessly injected with antibodies.
World Day for Farmed Animals is also celebrated on October 2. The main purpose of both days remains the same — to protect farm animals in the long run by providing better living conditions for them. Going by simple logic, the farm animals’ products we consume will only be beneficial for us if the farm animals themselves are kept in great conditions. We can start to raise awareness about the day by spreading the word about it and donating to the right organizations.

National Farm Animals Day FAQs
Are there any solid laws in place for farm animals’ protection?
There are very few laws that benefit farm animals, especially on-site protection for animals in the U.S. This means that abuse often gets overlooked or ignored unless there are extremely shocking cases.
Does it cost more to keep farm animals in healthier and better conditions?
It depends, but the answer to the question is mostly, yes. However, consumer polls reveal that many people care about the welfare of farm animals and they are willing to pay more if it means that the animals are treated fairly.
What guidelines should I follow to ensure that I am buying only from trustworthy factories?
There are a few guidelines you can keep in mind while purchasing. You can do your research on brands by looking at their product labels and websites, and trying to see what farm-animal welfare practices they follow. For example, do brands ensure policies against caging/crowding and are they 100% transparent about animals’ lives under factory conditions, etc.?
National Farm Animals Day Activities
Read up on farm animals history: One of the best ways to go about this day is learning about the history of farm animals. By getting to know more about their past, you will be able to sketch a rough idea of their present and future. Animals, like any other living being, deserve respect, dignity, and the right to be heard.
Spread awareness: Talk to your friends, family, acquaintances, strangers, etc., and spread the word about the day and what it stands for. One of the best ways to do this is by using social media tools like hashtags, videos, posts, etc.
Donate to organizations: Search for farm animal organizations active and working in your locality. If none exist in your area, either start your own organization or use other ways to help by volunteering at farms or donating.
5 Facts About Animal Rights That Will Blow Your Mind
Farm animals facing the most abuse: Apart from domesticated animals like cats and dogs, farm animals face the most amount of abuse and neglect from their caretakers.
Fur from fur farms through cruelty: Most fur for fur coats and other clothing items comes from fur farms where animals are killed as young as six months old.
Women over 60 hoard animals: It has been found that women over 60 are more likely to hoard animals in small spaces.
Intentional animal cruelty leading to other crimes: It is estimated that people who intentionally inflict cruelty on animals are more likely going to be involved in other violent crimes, too.
Animal abuse common in farm factories: Undercover investigations led by state authorities have revealed that one of the highest cases of animal abuse occurs in farm factories.
Why We Love National Farm Animals Day
It’s a celebration of animal rights: Animals, be it farm ones or otherwise, deserve the right to live in good conditions like any other living being on this planet. Just because humans have been blessed with the ability to think and command, it does not mean that we should abuse other living beings for our selfish gain.
It’s a celebration of Mother Nature: Mother Nature has gifted us countless things that we benefit from every day. From beneficial plants and herbs to nutritious vitamins and minerals. It is our duty to give back and the least we can do is respect our food sources by providing them with the best living conditions possible.
It’s a celebration for a better tomorrow: The only way we can move forward and hope to have a bright future is if we take the reins today by evaluating our choices. If we do not treat our food sources the correct way, we are also harming ourselves and our future generations in the long run.

Welcome to the Farm!
Mun speaking here, coming at you with a warm welcome! This is my first ever roleplay blog, so I plan to be very active here. I'll always be speaking in italics, while my characters will be speaking in quotes. I've commissioned a reference for Bo so far, and it will be coming in due time, as well as references for the Papyri. For now, you can enjoy character introductions as well as interaction rules. main blog is @aez26
Occasionally, this blog will have an event called the Night Market. We'll switch to a completely different theme and description. You can look at additional info on Bo for more info.
Asks are officially open by the way! You can use the tags #farmer's market for things outside the farm, #home for things in the farm, and #best of the bunch of story!
As for animals, we house fluffy cows, bulls, herding dogs, chickens, pigs, and valais blacknose sheep! The sheep is our profile picture, Bo took that photo.

Bo Bells
Description:
Bo is a 5'4 pale human with chesnut brown hair. Their hair is short, up to the end of their neck. They have gold highlights. They usually wear khaki shorts, a beige knitted t-shirt, along with black elbow and knee pads. They wear a farmer's straw hat, green gardening gloves, white socks, and beige sneakers. They're a vendor at most of the omega timeline's farmer's markets, whether it be selling baked goods, or selling those alongside flowers, seeds, starters, and fresh human and monster produce. They're a farmer/gardener that absolutely loves to bake. They use any pronouns, have hazel eyes, and a bunch of freckles. Don't try to debate their prices, they'll punch you. They're a rambunctious character with a love of game-playing and strategy. Polyamorous. They also have a corgi as a herding dog for sheep and cattle, his name is Eitri. They always carry a bouqet of fresh great falls angel coleus. Due to a botanical experiment gone wrong during their study of magical flowers, their body is covered in a variety of flowers that die and bloom as a new type of flower at the end of each month. Currently, the flowers are obsidian coral bells, echo flowers, red roses, and great falls angel coleus. They have a giant echo flower covering their left eye. They're part of a poly relationship with three papyri. They're a soul of integrity. Their soul is a light shade of lavender, with little blossoms of echo flowers sprouting from different areas. Their items consist of a gardening mister, a watering can, carrot seeds, strawberry seeds, and a bag of compost. They always wear a heart locket with a picture of them and their boyfriends inside.
Additional info:
They use magic modifiers to make their exotic flowers, seeds, and starters adaptable to new locations. They combine magic to modify the ecosystem or location that the plant needs to grow in, making it available to your very own garden! Overgrowth does occur, unfortunately, so the flowers and others become even more high maintenance. It does mess with the ecosystem it's placed in, infecting the roots and spreading the modifier to other plants if not properly taken care of. Terminate the flower, that's the plan. Unfortunately, at major overgrowth point, the plant won't be savable. If handled properly, it'll be removed from the planter thoroughly and returned to me. I have an antidote that I do not sell. The antidote is unfortunately posionous to humans and monsters, and needs to be handled extremely carefully.
They first gained the flowers after experimenting with the exotic modifier. It infected them, growing flowers all over their body. At the end of every month, they wither, causing extreme pain. Eventually they bloom into a new species, bringing pure serenity with the said bloom. They have an almost droopy, if not dead feel to them at night time.
At every night, there is a special market in the omega timeline for vendors to sell their less desirable products to the public. Bo sells violent and dangerous botanical experiments, warping flowers and produce into horrific beasts of plants. They also start bleeding from their flowers, causing mouths and eyes to form on the vegetation of their skin.
They sell vegetables, fruits, berries, herbs, flowers, seeds, starters, experiments, and baked goods.
Reference:
Soon to come!
The Papyri: Sain, Lus, and Cig
These three a peas in a pod, sharing their collective interest of loving Bo. Sain is fellswap Mutt, Lus is swapfell Cash, and Cig is underswap Stretch. They all carry the same physical appearance from their original AUs, the one difference being the bones are covered in dirt from helping Bo take care of the farm. Sometimes they come to the farmer's markets to help their sweetpea out. You'll have to dig a lot deeper to find out more about these guys.

Soon to come!
Interaction Rules
NSFW is allowed! Keep it away from minors though.
You can bring your own characters into the mix.
Anyone can send anything/anyone into the inbox. Want us to speak with Dream for a little bit? Sure! Want us to give Bo a flower? Okay!
Similar to a blog like silversans, any on-going really important asks that are sent in (and liked by mun) will be turned into arcs.
If you want to get into an actual roleplay with the cast, put (roleplay) at the end of your ask, and be consistent with your inputs!
No proshipping here. Don't attempt to force things like fontcest, papcest, frans, papara, or sanscest here. We don't do that stuff here. We respect everyone's interest, but it's a huge no.
Pet Eitri. Every time you send an ask please pet our corgi. He really loves people and affection, so it'd mean the world if you gave him some lovin'. Here's a gif for appearance reference.

My name is Angelia, and I have just been declared to be the most powerful mage in the world. They did it after I killed Rotsucker the undying because he wanted to know the name of my patron.
I do not have a patron.
I’m also nothing special in terms of heritage, second daughter, and forth child out of 8. Neither of my parents were special either, being farmers for generations.
No, the secret to my success is in my use of magic to give myself time to study. Not like that. I didn’t even start studying time magic until I was in my 20’s. No, I started out with a book of household charms that you can find in every market town. In the magical academies they call them cantrips. Papa bought it for me after harvest one year before my naming ceremony. I forget which one, only that I hadn’t celebrated being a woman yet.
In that book I learned how to start fires, lift light things, kill pests, tell the time, and other tiny tricks that each and every one of you reading this has dismissed as being not worth your time. But more importantly, I learned math, language, and how to study.
Remember, these books are designed for ‘barely literate’ farmers and rural folk. They need to include instructions on how to cast magic from the absolute basics.
Living on a farm taught me two other vital skills. The first is getting enough sleep. Despite now knowing how to make my clothes darn themselves, being able to light the kitchen fire with a snap of my fingers, and being able to clean the counters to the point you could eat off them. As an aside, that last spell probably reduced how many illnesses my family suffered over the years. [page 278]
As part of a farming family you either get used to sleeping early and getting up with the sun. Or you get used to being shouted at by the people you kept awake, and still having to do a full days work on very little sleep. As a child I did not have the opportunity to do the latter, as my mother would just take the book away and I wouldn’t see it for days if I stayed up late. That is something that’s stuck with me through the centuries.
The second thing you get used to is eating properly. I don’t mean having enough to eat, as there were plenty of years we went hungry. I mean having a wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. The preface to new book on household charms is not the right place to go into the whys of this. Suffice to say that eating a wide variety of different seasonal fruit and vegetables, alongside the basic grains and animal products will give you the energy you need to understand what you are learning.
Lastly, the thing that carried me forward and kept me going even when my family told me I was wasting my time is my dedication and love of learning. This book contains everything you need to become an archmage. Each one of these cantrips deals with an aspect of magic that you’ll see in even the most powerful spells ever devised. But, do you know what the first spell I ever created was? It was a spell to wind the bucket on the well. You will not find that spell anywhere in these pages, nor will you find the clothes drying spell I created next. But you can create your own versions if you study and understand the cantrips written within.
nobody believes you. They all think you made some sort of bargain or deal. Maybe even consuming souls… but the truth is that you became the most powerful mage in the world by getting enough sleep, studying, and eating right.

Understanding A2 Milk: The Basics 1.1 What is A2 Milk? A2 milk is derived from cows that produce only the A2 beta-casein protein. Unlike regular milk, which often contains a mix of A1 and A2 proteins, A2 milk comes from select breeds such as Jerseys and Guernseys. This distinction is crucial for those who may experience discomfort with regular milk due to the presence of the A1 protein. 1.2 Benefits of A2 Milk Over Regular Milk Many people have reported that A2 milk is easier to digest and may reduce gastrointestinal discomfort commonly associated with traditional milk. Scientific studies suggest that A2 milk may also have anti-inflammatory properties and a different fatty acid profile. Consumers appreciate its creamier texture and slightly sweeter taste, further enhancing its appeal. 1.3 Categories of A2 Milk: Grass-fed vs. Grain-fed The source of the cow’s diet plays a significant role in the quality of A2 milk. Grass-fed A2 milk tends to have a higher concentration of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins.
