one of the funniest bits of this episode though was the bad kids pulling up to the diner because they “wanted something hot” and proceeding to order mostly cottage cheese and ice cream

Emily Axford always seems to know like before hand what is going on. Like Fig never liked Porter, Sofia never liked Tony. Emily Axford has a preternatural ability to be suspicious without reason of exactly the right people and I respect her for it so much.

i think the other aguefort students (specifically kipperlily) being so angry about the bad kids saving the world is a little funny because they all had the opportunity to help in the fight with kalvaxus at prom but chose to run away… i have to wonder if that embarrassment and regret was the catalyst for the high five heroes to start rat grinding

like you’re in your first year at a brand new school putting in an insane amount of effort to keep your grades up and form a powerful adventuring party. sure you’re still low level, but you’re a FRESHMAN so no one is expecting you to save the world quite yet. you have 4 years to build your skills and from the looks of it you seem to be in a good spot for your age!

and then you watch a group of people in your year absolutely demolish some of the most powerful upperclassmen and a LITERAL DRAGON. a few of them rarely (if ever) even go to class but they’re levels above you. they use spells you’ve only ever read about. they die and come back like nothing happened while you’re panicking in the parking lot. no one expects you to help. you witness 6 people defeat an evil that you never knew existed and wonder why you weren’t good enough to be a part of it.
