Und wieder ein Beispiel dafür, dass manche Songs, die im Rahmen einer Albumproduktion verworfen wurden, dann doch gesondert das Licht der Welt sehen sollten: Am 23.02.2024 veröffentlichen Bombay Bicycle Club die 4-Track EP Fantasies die Songs beinhaltet, die im Dunstkreis der Produktion des 2023er Album My big day entstanden sind. Ein erster Titel steht seit heute zum Streamen bereit: Fantasneeze. Ein wunderbar fluffiger Indie- Popsong bei dem sich mir die Frage aufdrängt – warum wurde dieser nicht auf My big day berücksichtigt?

last song: the aisle by pinkpantheress. the way i listen to music is insanely neurotic, so i've only recently got around to stuff that came out last year. absolutely goes, though! the girlies were right!

last movie: fucking aggro drift lmao. it was.......something? getting a gang together to go see i saw the tv glow tomorrow and i am stoked beyond belief.

currently reading: a bunch of stuff! primarily transit by rachel cusk. i'm also listening to normal women by philippa gregory, and one of these days i will actually finish joan didion's the white album.

currently watching: the borgias lol. i love 2000s era trash period dramas, and i am convinced that the borgias was the trashiest we got. it's so unbelievably dumb and i am having the time of my life. i'm also trying to keep up with dungeon meshi.

currently craving: a good night's sleep

Bombay Bicycle Club / Willow (feat. Lucy Rose)

Die aktuelle Bombay Bicycle Club EP Fantasies ist zwischenzeitlich vollständig auch auf den Streaming Portalen eingestellt. Die EP umnfasst vier Stücke – allesamt Kollaborationen – die im Umfeld des letzten Albums My big day entstanden sind. Alle vier Stücke haben es nicht auf das Album geschafft. Dass es aber gut ist, die Stücke im EP Format noch freizugeben, beweißt neben dem ersten Taster Fantasneeze auch , eine Zusammenarbeit mit Lucy Rose. Willow knüpft im Sound so ein bisschen an älteres Material des Fahradclubs wie etwa Luna an.
