Kaito was very well used to morning sounds, the soft and recognizable cooing of his doves filling the air, the wind in the trees, the screeching voice outside the window as well. He was used to that, just more difficult to ignore that and go back to sleep.  He groans and curl up under the blankets; he was not a morning person but Aoko would kill him if he gets late again for breakfast and school or worse, starts screaming in front of his house at 5am for the next weeks as a sadistic revenge. Yeah, he doesn’t want that. 

We did it! The updated version is finally up, fresh new chapters and a new COVER ART by @faerynova . CHAPTER 17 IS UP !

Hello, nonnie!

Alas, for I have been very much writer's blocked. Plus, I'm working on binding another copy of my book, because I want to give two copies away in a giveaway rather than just one. (One will stay with me, and I already have one earmarked to go to @ewanmitchellcrumbs.) I've just fucked up on my textblock so I have to reprint it all again, which is going to take for fucking ever because it's 846 pages long lol.

Once I get that done, hopefully I can get back to the chapter!

As I was working on chapter ten this morning, I realized while I’ve been doing a good job documenting my writing progress, I have been doing a terrible job introducing the cast! So I have a solution, starting the Sunday, I will be doing a weekly character spotlight to help showcase the characters in my fanfic! Feel free to ask questions about them, I’d love to answer them! Concerns of the Pen

In regards to my fanfictions, I am hoping to actually get some published. You'd think ten years would have been motivation enough.

Ma Las, Ma Nas While my initial canon of Fen'aslan's story still stands, my writing has grown since it was initially published, and some things do need to be adjusted for post Veilguard. I have no concrete timeline for this but it is ongoing as of last night.

Songs Like Lyrium The work surrounding Drysi Amell was largely done as part of DADWC and needs to be complied and adjusted to my growth as writer into an actual working fic, the blasphemy romance scene however is actually done.

Untitled Hawke Work In line with Drysi Amell's world state, this needs to be updated specifically regarding the Creation myth to post Veilguard revelations.

Who is Rook?

My Rook is based off an old Inquisition character I was originally going to ship with Knight-Lieutenant Rylen. Teigue Trevelyan. However this was recycled after four hours in the Character Creator, give or take an hour. *allegedly from Elgar'nan's Pantaloons it was six hours* My plan for my first run through was not to create a canon Rook for my primary world-state but to just have fun and romance Lucanis. However that did not happen it became my canon state, so as such I must play it again. Allow me to introduce Teigue De Riva (They/Him)A Spellblade mage born in Treviso, but kidnapped by templars and taken to Kirkwall. He escaped at fifteeen years old and made his way back to Treviso where he reunited with his Talon. During this time he was retrained as a crow fledgling and spellblade. In his early thirties he becomes Rook and follows the Events of Veilguard. He will have his own fiction coming with the working title of Feathers on a Chessboard we will see if it sticks around.

Nothing feels quite as great as finally being able to pick up a fanfiction you'd left on the shelf to collect dust. I'm back on my Ivy and Iron Thorns fad and have 1.5k words written. So, hopefully, there'll be a chapter out tonight. But don't worry, I'm still working on the update for There Was Once Something Here. I'm going to keep y'all fed.

Mavis: 30 years! I've founded a guild, I've fought dark guilds, I won the trade wars for Fiore, I've created three of the strongest spells known to man -

Acnologia: *remembering when Mavis doodled a silly face on all the margins of her book on anthropology, sticking her tongue out as she focused and giggled*

Acnologia: ...

Acnologia: Mmhmm.

Quick update:

I haven't had time to write new tales, but will try to write and upload the drabble for the anon who donated me money :) This is my first to-do thing. (I had wanted to have the tale up this week but what came out.-. I wasn't content with it, so I'm redoing it).

I shut down my Ko-Fi page because of my lack of time to write atm. If you like my work and want to fund me, a new option will arrive soon. I am working on that, but that as well has been delayed a little. I think many of you will appreciate the effort I am putting in once you see the result.

The Multi-chapter fics: I'd planned to update them in time but didn't manage to. I'll post it here when new chapters have been uploaded. This should happen soon. They are already written but I want to cast an eye over them and to do that, I need both the time and to be clear-minded enough to do so. But don't worry, they will be uploaded soon.

I have been receiving new prompts. My ask is currently closed because of too little time to properly write. This doesn't mean I will ignore all the prompts that came tumbling in. But writing currently hasn't my priority, as I try to balance family life with work and the projects I am working on.

Work, Social life, Family. I admit, I have been distracted by my personal Grabber irl who properly managed to grab me. 👀 (If you read this, love, you know I mean you). But heading towards the holidays and being on my own with my kids all day, I am just too tired to properly write in the evenings and don't really get around to it. I'll let you all know when I am back in full writing mode again.

TLDR; Delays: but expect new chapters, a new drabble, and a new way to help me out financially (which I really need and which is why these projects hold my priority right now).

Three days has passed since Kaito’s recovery in the Hospital. He was still on his white, uncomfortable bed. The backrest raised a bit to help him sit. He tilted his head, huffing boredly while watching out of the window. “This place is going to make me die of boredom” He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then kept staring at the window.

Hi Everyone—

I know it's been a month since my last chapter release. I wanted to provide a short update regarding the fic, for new and old readers.

I have consolidated my Sonic Frontiers fic Reaching New Heights: A Tails Adventure from 14 chapters down to 9! Don't worry, I'll share this again when I release my next chapter

But Strawberry does that mean? Why did you delete all those chapters?

No content has been deleted! Multiple chapters have simply been compiled together to form longer ones.

I was looking back at the full body of work, and I feel like both my writing quality, and stamina, has improved! This meant that the earlier chapters were actually very short— within the 1k range, and then growing to 2k.

Now, my current chapters are 4K-5k words long! So I decided to merge some of those earlier chapters together to make them longer. Prior to this, new readers would read about 5 chapters of really short chapters, then another 5 chapters being a little longer, before having full-length chapters as you end up deeper in the story. My hope is that for new readers, this change will set the reading expectation in terms of fic length and pacing early on.

So again, nothing has been deleted or changed significantly! While I’ve made some edits to the Prologue through Chapter 2, these edits are not to any major plot points. It’s mainly just some wording changes to make the piece feel more polished.

This means that the next chapter that will be released will be titled Chapter 9 — the 10th chapter in the story overall, including the prologue! I'm so excited to share it with you all once it's done. Thank you for your patience, as I know the last update was a month ago. Rest assured I am working on the next chapter.
