a smile broke out across Remus's face as soon as Annie agreed to the race; if he had his tail, it would be wagging right now. he's so excited by the thought of racing, he has to run circles around her at first, looking at her with excitement in his eyes. "a race!!" he agrees excitedly, clapping his hands together. despite everything bad that's ever happened to him, he never seems to exude anything but happiness. it's good for him- and Annie seems to be just as good for him as he smiles warmly at her.

he pauses in his running when she mentions a prize, tilting his head to the side not unlike a dog would when hearing the word 'treat'. he grins at her. "a prize, huh ?? that would be fun. i like the idea of a prize. okay so . . ." he pauses to think, tapping at his chin. "okay, so if i win, you have to take me out to lunch. you have to pay for everything, no matter what i get. and i eat a lot." he pats his tummy with a grin. "but if you win, i have to pay for everything. and i won't complain if you want to go shopping after." he doesn't particularly like shopping, but he'll tolerate it for Annie especially if that means racing with her.

Annie stared at Remus, eyes wide as he started to pout. To her, he just looked so young. As soon as he said he wanted to go for a run, she panicked. Maybe it was just his face, but she just couldn't do it.

"...The zoomies?" The words tumbled out of her mouth in confusion, as her eyebrows scrunched together. "What even...?" He kept rambling, which she thought was a bit cute actually. Trying to come up with reasons why he should be allowed to just run off.

When he suggested a race, she stared at him, blinking a few times almost in shock. "A race? You want me to race you?" She started to shake her head before she thought about it for a moment more. At least if they were running together, she could keep an eye on him, make sure he didn't get hurt.

"Ok. Fine, we'll race. But if we're racing, there's gotta be a prize at the end, otherwise what's the point?"

🌽 do a corn maze

Remus likes corn mazes. then again, he's never really been in a corn maze, but he likes the idea of them. when Toshiko invited him to join her in a corn maze, he could hardly say no. it sounded fun- reminds him a lot of the Shining in that one scene where there's a giant hedge maze. it's what he imagines anyways, but obviously hedge mazes and corn mazes are completely different things. still, it doesn't stop his overactive imagination as he stares at the entrance of the maze with wide wandering eyes.

"this thing is huuuuge!!" he exclaims, flapping his arms around as he looks between the entryway and Toshiko. "are you sure we'll find our way out?" as a wolf, he can very easily sniff his way out, but that would be cheating and Remus isn't a cheater. he is a bit nervous though as he takes a step towards the entrance. "i guess we just better go in, huh?" then, he's taking another step into the maze, his heart pattering loudly in his chest. he's excited. he can't wait to test his survival skills- cause surely that's exactly what this is about, isn't it ?? if you can't survive the maze without cheating, do you really think you'd survive if something more sinister happens ?? Remus is determined to prove that he can.

📺 watch horror movies together

spooky season is his favorite time of the year. not only is it cooler outside and much more friendlier to wolves like himself, but it's also spooky and that, naturally, calls for horror movie marathons. he's grateful for his blossoming friendship with Annie- she's the perfect contender to have a movie night with, so thus he invited her to his house to watch said movies. they had a list of them picked out and the first one happens to be one of Remus's favorite movies of all time- Psycho.

"i know, i know it's not that scary, but it's ominous, and i think it's so fucking good. have you seen it ?? and did you know they made a television show based off of it ?? that's really good too. maybe we should watch that later too, if you want. i think you'd like it. if you like psychological horror, that is." after Psycho is Halloween, another classic. he grabs the bowl of popcorn as he sits down, nestling the bowl between them as he pulls the blanket up over his lap. "are you ready for a great night?" and then, just for dramatic fashion, he turns to her with a grin. "what's your favorite scary movie?" then, he presses play.

at the mention of cookies, Remus is quickly reaching over to the plate of said cookies and snatching one of them up into the palms of his hands. it's a cute cookie, he'll give her that. "these are adorable !! of course i want to try one." without further ado, he takes a big ol' bite out of it.

Remus stares at her blankly, his mouth dropping open in a silent 'o'. he hasn't had anyone concerned about his wellbeing since he was a toddler- well, okay, that's not necessarily true, his family has always been very concerned for his wellbeing, but that's besides the point. the point is that he hasn't had anyone outside of his family concerned for his wellbeing since he was a toddler and it makes him pause, looking at Annie with confusion in his expression.

"but . . . i'm an adult." he says, a pout on his lips. he's pretty sure he's technically older than Annie, too- physically, not actually, he knows she's older than he is, but still. crossing his arms over his chest, Remus pouts. "i have the zoomies," he explains, his leg beginning to shake as he stands there, eager to run. "please let me run. i'll be careful, i promise. you can even run with me, if you're concerned." he wants to turn into a wolf and run around, but he won't do it unless he has explicit permission. this isn't his territory, after all, and what Annie says is important to him, even if he's a little annoyed that she doesn't want him to run loose. still, he means what he says. he'll be careful and, if she's that worried, they can run together. in fact, that sounds kind of fun- they could race.

with that idea in his head, Remus begins to get excited, holding his hands together as he looks at her with his big eyes, bottom lip jutting outwards. "run with me ? we can race ! it'll be fun ! and i promise i'll be super duper careful. okay ? please?"

the wolf was wandering the forest when he came across the human, his paw steps light in the foliage. he approaches her cautiously as his ears pin backwards, a low growl emitting from the back of his throat. he didn't know if she was a danger or not, but as he got closer, he realized she was passed out and therefore, could not be of any danger to him. so, he sits and waits until she stirs, keeping an eye out for predators. he keeps her safe in the mean time.

when she stirs and sees him, the wolf's ears are back to being pinned backwards, staring back at her with lilac colored eyes - an unusual color for a young wolf such as he. when he sees her flinch, he shakes his head and wishes her to be calm, so he speaks to her in his mind, knowing that this may freak her out even more, but didn't know what else to do.

'do not be afraid. i will not hurt you.' he says, head cocked to the side. he glances up at the sky, seeing the full moon reflecting through the trees. it wouldn't be long before the sun came up, only a few short hours and then he could walk on his two legs again. he was ready.

The smallest groan came from the Jedi as her body began to shift. There was no telling how long she had been here - she went into the forest with a mission, and ended up unconscious in the middle of it. Blood seeped from a wound on her temple, though she knew she would never remember how it got there.

Opening her eyes for the first time since she passed out, she found herself making eye contact with… a wolf? It looked like a cub, though he was smaller than her own wolf companion, so she wasn’t sure.

Regardless, the sudden sight made her flinch and her eyes opened wide. She couldn’t conjure any words yet, so she just stared.

the young werewolf wags his tail in response. he's only ever met a few werewolves before - Caspian is one of the first, and the kindest by far. he decides quite quickly that he likes him. while he's not a cub anymore, it's clear that Remus's wolf blood has him appearing young - barely old enough to wander alone, that's for sure, and despite his age, he still gives off that puppy behavior as he wags his tail and lets out a small howl.

'you're a werewolf king?' he repeats, amazed as he circles the wolf in front of him, his black fur glimmering in the moonlight. 'i didn't know that ever was such a thing. i've been a wolf basically my entire life, but i don't really meet many others like me. i've always been alone.' it saddens the wolf as his ears pin backwards, a whine leaving him. he doesn't like to be alone.

Caspian sniffed the other. Caspian wags his tail as a form of trust. The russet wolf swished his tail. He was so curious about Remus! Caspian made a soft whine. ' Remus, a pleasure to meet you milord. You are quite the interesting Lupine. ' He said. Caspian wondered if Remus was born with his Wolf Blood like HIS species, but maybe he was wrong. He circled around and he just sits on the ground.

He was quite lazy this evening. His wolf ring converts into a paw bracelet. It was glimmering with magic. He used his hind legs to itch. ' I am not lying when I tell you where i come from wolves are everywhere. I will open up to say I am a king. A werewolf king.' He said. The wolf bowed his head. He wondered if this information was a bit too much. Caspian became silent.

Remus regrets the words as soon as they were out of his mouth. he hadn't meant to say them out loud - he didn't think he was stupid enough to say them out loud, but here he was, an idiot, a moron, a big buffoon. he was going to get himself into a fight and then what ? get beat up because he couldn't watch his mouth ? Remus knew he couldn't fight back and he's so much smaller than this guy. just fucking great. he just had to open his stupid big mouth, didn't he ? he looks from Billy to the teacher, back to Billy. the teacher was still watching them. good. maybe that'll keep Billy at bay. he takes a step backwards and swallows a lump in his throat.

"n-nothing. i didn't say anything." great, now he sounds like a coward, too. he's submitting like a bitch and he hates it. he hates that he can't stand up for himself; that he has to run and hide with his tail between his legs. he lowers his head. "i didn't say anything."

— there it was, like a lighter triggered and ignited. The magic words to his aggressive and violent nature. Who’s the pussy now. Who’s the pussy now!? Billy’s body begins to pump adrenaline, his eyes once set upon the teacher now on the kid in front of him. the little patience he carried now vanished, gone.

“repeat what you just said to me — one more time.” Billy tells says, his tone harsh. He clenches his hands into fists and he withdraws from any physical involvement until he repeats what he wants to hear, wanting the confirmation.
