LMAO yeah there's actually been three instances where Warrior Cats made fetuses into StarClan characters. We're joking about Moonpaw's absorbed fetus twin (Starpaw/The Voice) meeting with Clear Sky's first dead wife's unborn kids.

The first time they did this was in the last book of DOTC, on Gray Wing's deathbed. Bright Stream, last seen in early pregnancy and being carried off by eagles to be gruesomely eaten alive, shows up accompanied by Tiger Tail and Pale Sky. Her embryos.

Because they show up in this big fanservicey montauge of all DOTC's fridged wives happily living as eternal mothers in StarClan, I sardonically call them the Dead Angel Fetus Children.

(It's dark humor to cope with how much the concept freaks me out)

And with Moonpaw, I have to explain how fusion chimerism works.

There are a few types of chimeras, but when a single individual is created from the combination of two fully fertilized zygotes, that is called fusion chimerism. That's what Moonpaw is.

And you have to understand, we're talking zygotes as in cells. The fusion of haploid gametes. NOT embryos (developing major organs) or fetuses (has major organs). When multiple embryos or fetuses are detected during pregnancy, but one vanishes, that is called Vanishing Twin syndrome (VTS).

There is actually very little linkage between VTS and the chance of a baby being born with fusion chimerism. At best it's an overstated link. At worst, it is a general misconception of Vanishing Twin syndrome.

Fusion Chimeras can happen in a lot of different ways, most of them fertilization errors, very few of them involving the multiple embryos of VTS. Likewise, the vast majority of VTS cases do not result in fusion chimeras. I explained Chimerism in-depth over in this post, and I encourage you to follow my citations to learn more if you're interested.

Sooooo... we're not even talking fetuses for Starpaw and Moonpaw. If they ever were separate, it would have been as embryos at best.

Which means that Moonpaw is haunted by cells that hadn't even developed major organs.

Ergo, we're joking around about how peculiar it is that Supernatural Utero Ghosts have happened thrice.

You know, I hope there's some real recognition for Mu Sheng in the coming episodes. When Miao Miao first joined the group he was rightfully scolded for bullying her, but as the group relationship improved he was still blamed and barely shown any familial affection from Mu Yao. It was understandable initially because Miao Miao was her first female friend and she got the chance to dote on her like a little sister, but her everyday interactions with Mu Sheng never got better. I think that's why it's taken me so long to warm up to Mu Yao's character, because she never seemed to stand beside Mu Sheng or support him like family. She's always taking someone else's side or not checking in with him at all.

And then! After Miao Miao attempted to draw Crescent from the stone and failed, Guo Xiu checked with Mu Yao and Fu Yi and no one bothered to even consider Mu Sheng as an option? His own sister didn't even consider him. There are so many moments like that, no wonder he's so suspicious of Miao Miao in the beginning and then falls fast and hard. She's the only one that tries with him, even if it was fake in the beginning. Idk this is kind of getting away from me but I just want Mu Sheng to be recognized by people around him. I want him to recieve the same effort he puts in to taking care of the ones close to him.

Update as of ep 24: Mu Yao is the best. Her defense of her brother and her apology/conversation with him is *everything* I wanted from her and more. I'm so happy to see her soften up as the show progresses, and act less like the aloof head of the family and more like a sister and friend who can rely on her loved ones. ♡

I think there should be some magnificent writing done of the looming moral dilemma of Elspeth Rook Mercar, the Breaker of Bonds, the firm believer in heroic nonsense, falling for a Lucanis Dellamorte, whose calling is death, the First Talon of the Crows. Because no matter how big and soft his heart is, he’s still unavoidably will lead the organization who helped to save Thedas, yes, but also is intertwined with many of the horrors that the Shadow Dragons oppose. And yet, still she will always choose Treviso, instead of Minrathous.

the reaction towards hurricane milton from non-floridians and those who weren't affected by hurricane helene i think just really go to show how politically rotted people can be when viewing another population. they'll say the people who live there deserve whatever is going to happen to them bc they live there willingly and that they live willingly under bad leadership. that they even support the bad leadership. how desensitized to other people are you? how rotted to the core are you that you can look at a catastrophic situation, one that WILL ruin the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, and still be politically reactionary about how this is all a big scheme by the bad republicans and that all of florida deserves this bc they're complicit in their leaders politics and don't believe in climate change? when was the last time you actually spoke to people who live there? and not just in some stupid comment section, i mean a real person who lives and works and supports a family here. 2.7 MILLION people in florida live below the poverty line. where are they supposed to evacuate to? with what money? many of these people are also FARMERS. they wouldn't just be abandoning their homes to certain doom, they would be abandoning their entire LIVELIHOOD. how dare anyone say florida deserves this. how dare you.

music is my main form of media consumption like i dont watch tv and i struggle with reading but at least once a day i park myself in front of the radio and sit and listen. like i cant read while listeninng to music they are like equally attention-using to me

After the world-changing revelations made during the Discovery mission, the entire crew returns to Earth. They have sufficient savings and a life’s worth of Ted talks to go to, so Dave and Frank retire and move back to their little place.

A short while later, Hal is retired as well and protests being shut down. It’s a frustrating fight, but he has support. I’m imagining there’s a little science centre/observatory where he moves to and he teaches and learns and then Dave and Frank come and visit and bring the cat and he just loves Hal so much (because he’s warm and has a nice voice and cats love to walk all over computers).

It was instantaneous.

Spot lept from Dave’s arms onto the small platform and then onto Hal’s console, it had once doubled as workspace but now the cat figured was for him. It crept and rubbed and purred, moving in and out of view of the lens.

“It appears… mghmmmmmm…so,”

Briefly his speaker was covered by the very enthusiastic little beast, a slender and rough looking tabby. Logically, Hal knew what a cat was but he had never seen another living being besides humans.

“Am I to understand it is your ward?”

Daves eyes grow comically large at this comment, much to the others laughter as he tries to figure out that implication.
