Merry Whatever you Celebrate IF you do so! Here's an extra holiday-themed strip for the season! Now, for all the talk about the Mandela effect and if it was Berenstain or Berenstein, etc., here's a case where a beloved childhood memory actually HAS been manipulated and changed with multiple, wildly different versions out there that is rarely discussed. Seriously, look it up. The Rankin Bass Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer has about as many different edits and versions as the Star Wars Special Editions. It's kind of wild. When this eventually gets colored for the book collections, I am SO gonna make my sweater blue and then change it to green mid-way through. IYKYK. ;)

FINDING YOURSELF LOST
“We are forlorn like children, and experienced like old men, we are crude and sorrowful and superficial—I believe we are lost.” ― Erich Maria Remarque YOU WERE YOUNG AND AMONG FRIENDS, then suddenly you aren’t either anymore. You “found yourself” in a group that called itself “People Like Us” (PLU) as you tried to get by, even ahead, in the world. Lost yourself, more like it. You pretend you…

Prompt: Tbr vet (square 5)
Book read: Fame and Fortune/Horatio Alger, Jr (Ragged Dick #2)
Why: I first found a bind-up of Ragged Dick and the third in the series-Mark, the Match Boy-at around 10 years old and I loved them. It’s clear in Mark, the Match Boy that there is a book previous to it, but as Alger wrote them as serials in magazines as first there was no confusion. Still, I wanted to read the second one, but, for whatever reason, it was only pretty recently that I realized that it’s probably on Project Gutenberg (I also discovered that there are more in the series after the third book!).
What I Wanted: I first and foremost wanted to know what was happening to Dick in between the end of the first and the beginning of the second and how he managed to move into a new boarding house. I also wanted to see if I would continue to like these kind of book first read as an adult.
What I Got: I really enjoyed it. Are these actually good books? No. Are they incredibly fun? Yes. Many absurd things happen but the world that it happens in is a world where the absurd things that happen can happen. I’m really excited to reread Mark, the Match Boy now. (I did also get to discover how Dick moved to a new boarding house :).)

For a guy who used to be the "popular" type
This is bringing it to new lengths. I mean, I still am the popular type but fame? Whaat? Fame has hit me like a ton of bricks. Like a bus. Like a bulldozer. I was just sitting around, minding my own business when *Kabam!* Fame hits and it feelsss sooo goooddd. Maybe my popularity prepared me for fame. I don't know if I would've handled it so well if I wasn't popular before I was famous. I have the academy to thank and my parents... as well as the lyrics of Taylor Swift. I also thank my only fans account for its raunchy content. Anyways, I am a very rich man with lots of free time. I will be answering fan mail everyday and posting live content.

A teenage nightmare.
"Mom.. Why can't I go out with my friends?" Everly sighed softly. She looked down at her outfit before her mother could say anything about it. She was dressed more than appropriately. The jeans she had on didn't have a single rip in them and she hated that. Her shirt was actually comfortable. She was fully covered. The redhead sighed softly. She pulled her long red hair back into a ponytail and she stared at her parents. She knew they were damn well over protective but this was ridiculous. To say she couldn't hang out with her friends was a new low for them. "Darling you must understand. You just finished filming your first movie. Things are about to be chaotic." She shifted her weight a little as she turned to look at her mother. Hazel eyes rolling as she listened to what her mother had to say. "Look. All I want is a normal day to hang out with my friends. I'm not asking to do anything crazy." she replied with a small groan.
“Well, 'normal' is just a pipe dream for us anyway.” Hearing those words she turned around to see her father was standing behind her now. "I don't care. I want to go and hang out with my friends. I understand that Mother May I just came out but I just want to do something normal like hang out with my friends." As she looked at her father pleadingly. He shook his head. "You're mother is right. You can't just go be a normal kid anymore." Groaning she sat down in the chair somewhat behind her. "Thank you darling." she heard her mother say to her father. She made a face as her parents kissed. "Whyyyy?" She wanted to mutter but it came out louder. "Why can't you just trust me?" she managed to finally ask. "Honey it's not you we don't trust, it's the--" Her father was cut off. "Cruel, cruel world." Her eyes moved from her father to her mother with a sigh.
"Well let me prove myself to you." she countered. "Let me prove that I can handle myself." she added. Her father held up his hand. "It isn't you. It's the world." Everly sighed and shook her head. "Let me prove that I can handle myself is what I meant daddy." She pouted slightly almost causing him to cave in. "Not a chance Everly." She turned to stare at her mother. "It's not fair. I just want to be able to go out!" she retorted. "Darling get your friends to come here. You can order food, do whatever you want in the confines of your own home." Everly didn't even respond. She huffed and walked out of the room. She was going to try to sneak out but she had to make sure her mother wouldn't find her. She had a feeling that if her father found her he wouldn't give her away so quickly so she had to hurry and make sure everything was in place for everything she had planned.

Hello how are you? I hope you're doing good!
I have few questions if its okay with you;
- do you accept x reader?
- what type of requests do ok you take? Fluff, small angst, platonic, happy ending...etc.
- do you do hc, one-shot, drabble (don't know what drabble is)?
- if you accept x reader do you accept like parent!reader or sibling!reader? (On platonic terms of course).
- do you only write GN!reader or can you write male and female readers?
- is it cool to add a plot in our request?
Cas is doing well! And Cas hopes you're doing well too! :] Yes, we accept x readers, we just will mainly focus on Fame and Fortune!
Fluff, small angst, platonic, happy ending, etc. are usually all accepted? Most things I'd be willing to write!
I would probably prefer to do headcanons just cuz I've been in a bit of writer's block recently but I can try to do other things as well, if you ask for them that is. Yes, I'm willing to do parent!reader and sibling!reader (platonically).
I'd prefer to do GN!readers just because I'm nonbinary? I'd definitely be willing to do male and female though!
And yes, it is honestly preferred to add a bit of plot for me to work with!
Thank you for asking!

DIABOLUS EX MACHINA
“If you act like a rock star you will be treated like one.” ―Marilyn Manson Every once and a while I pretend to be an editorial cartoonist. But being a real one is outside of my comfort zone. Coming up with new ideas for a different-actors/same-plot situation is an impossible task. Every once and a while something or someone that’s not politics-as-usual appears and some new metaphors pop…
