His name was Jaemin, at least that’s what he told you when you found him at your front door, brilliant white wings and halo gleaming when he greeted you with a charming smile. Jaemin was like a ray of bright light, so dazzling, warm and beautiful you could hardly focus on anything else. He said he was your guardian angel, watching over you and protecting you from all the cruel things in the world. 

You never questioned him and his motives for showing himself to you that day, at least not out loud. Jaemin didn��t let you either, pushing past you and welcoming himself into your home, touching your things and eventually falling asleep on your bed.

You really thought he would stay for just a day, but that day turned to two, then three, then a week, then a month. Jaemin’s stay at your home dragged on for longer and it didn’t seem as if he was leaving anytime soon. He was a nice roommate, always having a warm meal ready for you when you came back home, cleaning up your spaces until it was sparkling clean. He kept you company, talking to you and just staying by your side. But it was strange living with a random man, even if he was supposed to be your guardian angel.

The feelings you had towards Jaemin living with you were mixed. You felt bad for him, afraid that he wouldn’t find a place to stay besides your place, guilty for wanting him gone. He was kind and caring after all, which made your guilt all the worst. 

But, something tells you that Jaemin is hiding something.

You can see how Jaemin has changed over time, his affectionate and caring nature becoming overbearing. He’s touching you more, slithering under your clothes to touch your skin, stealing kisses that become longer and longer filled with an emotion you don’t want to decipher. When he does this, he always looks at you like he wants more, pupils blown wide but usually restraining himself. 

It doesn’t help that Jaemin tries to keep you with him at all times, always complaining when you leave the home, propositioning you to stay with him and joking that you should never leave his side. He always seems to know your location and who you’re with, criticizing the people you were with and the location you were at. It’s not uncommon for Jaemin to text you strings of messages while you’re out, asking when you’ll be back, complaining that he’s lonely, insulting your friends.

Visually, you can see him changing too. You can see his progression, his halo slowly becoming dull and some smaller, with spider-like cracks forming within the spotless surface, his feathers with speckles of black that have turned into splotches. Jaemin’s skin complexion looks less brilliant overall, more dull and gray compared to the first time you saw him. 

You don’t want to pry or push Jaemin to tell you, but the dimming of Jaemin’s light and warmth has you afraid of what Jaemin is slowly becoming.

this has been on my drafts for so long,,, but anyways it’s inspired by Red Lights by Skz Hyunchan, and this one supposed to be a Hyunjin x Reader x Bang Chan one shot lol anyways but then suddenly ??? this jeno SHOWED UP in the teaser and tweets were like, “omg fallen angel jeno,” you know what,,, i’ll just drop the fic idea here. ๑(◕‿◕)๑

anyways, jeno is your best friend and although you’re happy that he’s very kind and treats you like a queen, he tends to be overprotective of you sometimes,, then it got worse when the popular guy in school, Jaemin became interested at you.

jeno tried to warn you about staying away from him because jaemin’s a notorious heartbreaker, he dates people left and right and then leaves them hanging if he gets bored, and NOW, he has his eyes on you.

disobeying jeno’s words, you fell for jaemin, agreeing to his dates and complying to his wishes like the good girl you are!!! everything goes well, but jeno’s slowly becoming possessive of you that it led to a fight between the two of you, you don’t understand why jeno’s acting like that, shouldn’t he be happy for you?

then jaemin invites you to a halloween costume party, you agreed immediately, knowing that jaemin will be your date. everything goes well, you two are dressed up as an angel and a devil, everything goes well until you two went to the second floor of the party and to your surprise, jeno’s there.

jeno warns you once again, even exposing jaemin’s real identity — a demon that lures and eats the heart of a virgin, (forget that part lollll) no wonder he’s a sly man who can wrap anyone in his fingers. jaemin in defeat, reveals his indentity ??? (funny because he’s wearing a devil costume) but then, jaemin warns you because jeno’s more dangerous than him.

jaemin tells you that atleast he knows that he’s evil but what about jeno? did your best friend told you about his identity? that you’re the reason heaven threw him away? because he fell in love with you.

shocked, you could only look at jeno, his eyes were cold and his gaze were piercing, desiring for you. jaemin then proceeds to tell you that jeno’s love for you has become too dangerous, that he had fall for the sin of desiring you instead of just guarding you from above.

that’s pretty much it. if you listened to red lights, you’ll get idea. LMAO i was planning on writing this for halloween but oh well, october’s still far xD dumping it here in case i want to write it someday.

gets filled with an even greater craving for corruption of mankind and makes it his goal to elicit the darkest desires in humans

surprisingly treats the souls in hell really well instead of torturing them and convinces everyone to join him in another attempt to overthrow heaven

With her new-born baby in her arms, Sooyoung stared helplessly at the black private jet in front of her, that was only used during secret movements like today. The more she looked at it, the more saddened she got at the thought of being away from her husband for such an indefinite amount of time, something that really scared her on top of everything else.

“Madam, we have to go now.” she turned to the guard motioning her forward, his uniform different from those she was used to. Every last detail about this move was reminding her just how off the radar it all was. When she didn’t respond, a hand on her shoulder took her attention, and she turned behind to meet with her husband’s sullen but strict eyes.

Yuta gave her a look, to which she finally nodded. He then motioned the guard to prepare the jet while he took his wife’s hand and guided her inside. Once they got to her seat, he took Yumeko from her arms, and for a while stood there staring at his daughter.

“My angel.” he whispered, kissing the baby’s forehead. “Be healthy and grow well. Daddy will be back for you soon, I promise.” he smiled as his baby gazed back at him, though he tried his best holding in the tears. Before the dam could break he quickly placed her in the baby seat and buckled her in, before finally turning to his wife who already had wet cheeks.

Sighing, he opened his arms to her, and Sooyoung threw herself into his body, letting out her tears onto his shirt. “Pick us up soon… Please…” he nodded as she spoke.

“I promise sweetheart.”

They pulled away, unable to let go of each other, and just as the pilot announced they would depart soon, they pulled at each other again into a passionate kiss, lips moulding into each other’s perfectly as they kissed like it would be their last time. Sooyoung threaded her hands tight through his hair, wanting to feel every last bit of her husband as she could before she would be unable to for indefinite time. Even as they pulled away this time, Yuta held her bottom lip between his teeth, giving one more kiss before releasing completely as his men called him outside.

Sooyoung shook her head, as if telling him not to leave, despite knowing it won’t work. Hands cupped her face, wiping away the tear streaks from her cheeks. “I love you.” Yuta spoke softly. “Stay safe sweetheart.”

This time she nodded. “I love you Yu-san…”

Sooyoung had no idea where they were as she entered her designated bedroom, but she figured the least she knew the better. She placed Yumeko in the bed, the baby having fallen asleep during the journey over, then took the bags the men had left for her at the door and started organising her clothes.

Ten guards would be living in the house with her, switching around duties throughout the day, along with two women who Yuta had apparently sent specially to help her around with the baby. Sooyoung and Yumeko were not allowed outside the property, which she didn’t take as an issue because she had no plans to explore. Plus, there was a lot of land for her to roam around, from the front yard garden to the backyard pool.

Still, none of it mattered to her, all she wanted to do was stay in bed, holding her baby in her arms, and wait for her husband to come back to her. Her free hand moved to her neck, where her fingers found the necklace resting on her skin and played with the familiar pendant.

Clearing his throat, he stood up grabbing the gun from his desk. “Let’s go get that piece of shit.” he gritted through his teeth and strode out the room. Jaemin watched in admiration as his brother immediately switched into the ruthless leader they all knew him by, not a single sign of the soft hearted family man he had become over the last four years. He trailed behind as they headed to the meeting room, where their frontline men waited for further instructions.

Jaemin wasn’t sure what his brother had planned, but he knew it wasn’t going to be anything short of a war between the two gangs.

You weren't "taken" anymore; you couldn't say that. You had messed it all up.

The guy you had experienced your firsts with, the first guy to look past your reputation, the first guy you had ever fallen in love with. He made your stomach erupt in a flutter of butterflies, but now you couldn't have that anymore.

"Hey bubs, you know this guy?" A voice sounded from behind.

As your eyes met the person behind the familiar voice, your heart began to mirror fireflowers, sparkling, hissing and ready to burst into a million pieces.

Jaemin snaked his arm around your waist, pulling you closer towards him like he did the first time you had met. Though his lips were tugged into an innocent smile, his eyes contained a fiery depth, as if challenging the poor boy across from him.

Sunghoon had hastefully spluttered apologies before running off inside, leaving you alone with him.

Once again, the two of you sat on the steps in front of Sunwoo's house, the powerful bass from inside providing a diegetic noise for the tense atmosphere outside.

You sat fiddling with the loose hems of your knitted cardigan, as Jaemin counted the number of pebbles occupying the path, thinking of ways to start a conversation. After several minutes had painfully crawled past, you still remained without any spoken words, just enveloped by the thick silence until he timidly spoke up.

"You okay?" He whispered, his eyes still fixated on the path.

It was only then that you had gotten a proper glance towards Jaemin.

He looked different from the last time you had seen him.

Maybe it was the dim hues of the street lights that reflected against his pretty face; or maybe it was the way his hair was pushed to the other side; or maybe it was simply because you missed him.

You felt your eyes well up in tears, though you couldn't seem to pinpoint why.

The only thing you had gathered in your bleary vision, was Jaemin's alarmed expression before being engulfed into that familial hug you had grown to love the past few months. As you snuggled closer into his neck, there released the warm cotton scent of his cologne. Though the two of you remained silent, it was that moment when you realised that you had found your comfort. Right under the diamond dusted night sky and amongst the transcending autumnal leaves, your angel was there, his halo residing in his perfect smile.

"I'm sorry," You muffled into his jacket, "I'm sorry for running away without any explanation, I'm sorry for being a coward and denying my feelings for you and I understand if you never want to talk to me again after this but god I missed you so much."

Your body seemed to ache for warmth as Jaemin pulled away from your body, placing his hands on your shoulders.

"Who said that I never returned the feelings?"

There was a slight pause in your movements, your lips wavering before you murmured, "What?"

Jaemin smiled as he held your hands, "I like you y/n, and I have since the day we met."

Your eyes widened, staring into his dark orbs with the same expression you had adorned the time you reunited with him at the party. You inched closer to his figure, in attempts to find any signs of playfulness or mischief in his eyes; but alas, you were left with none.

This was the way things were meant to be, Jaemin's heart in your hands, and yours in his, all, without the lies, the denial and the fear of losing each other.

When his lips met yours, moving softly and perfectly in time with your fluttering heartbeat, you knew that you had found the one. The previous kisses you had shared were unrivalled to the surge of emotions the real thing had brought. From the way he tenderly cupped your cheeks to the whispering of sweet nothings on your lips, if his words weren't enough to convince you, his actions definitely did.

"Does this mean that we're dating now?" Jaemin murmured softly against your cheeks, "For real this time."

You giggled, "Yes, for real."

As he leaned in for another kiss, you stopped him with your palm, muttering one last question which had burned at the back of your mind.

"But then, why did you ghost me?"

That once comfortable silence was broken by Jaemin's excessive coughs, avoiding your curious gaze. Jaemin believed that he was always ready to conquer obstacles, whether it was Chenle's verbal attacks or Jisung's sudden late night cravings but it was only that question that made him wish the ground would swallow him and his past regrets up whole.

"I may or may not have broken my phone and felt too awkward to text you back…"

"You what?!"
