Tfp fandom is much bigger than tfa fandom. I can understand it, because It's old, bad animated and has boring story-line. I've already made 'My opinion about tfa ships' so I think It's time to make tfp version of this.

Before I would start let me make it clear. It's my opinion. If you think different, please don't attack me with hate comments. However, I think people who use tumblr are much calmer than most of the people on Tiktok but nevermind..

Optimus Prime x Megatron

Uhh ohh. This is the basic one, which almost everyone ships from the fandom. In my opinion, they could have been something like lovers to enemies.

[Headcanon]: Optimus might've been in love with Megatron when they were just Orion and Megatronus. But the power and fame parted them away and Megatronus started hating him for taking it from him. Maybe that's why Optimus was always compassionate with him because he was still in love with him. He tried to get Megatronus to became lovers/friends again. Until of course when Megatronus started to hurt his loved ones he stopped trying.

I mean I can belive that that's what happening behind the story line.

I absolutely adore them. I mean I can understand why people ship them. They have somekind of dinamic what I can't just ignore. There's something in the background we don't know about that's what I tell you guys.

Optimus Prime x Ratchet

Staying by Optimus there is another ship. The Optimus x Ratchet ship. Well, I'm not really keen on for this ship. I just can't see more into their friendship.

In my opinion, they are perfectly matching with each other's energy. They know each other for so long. Helping to the other is also a plus point.

People have every reason why this might be more than just a friendship. Maybe I just can't see through the show. Please let me know if there are facts I'm missing out. Nevermind. Next.

Arcee x Airachnid

Now to have some females in this blog let's write about this one. I'm really scared of this one.

Airachnid only shows interest for woman in this series (I think). The way she talks with Arcee and touches her few times is absolutely suspicious. She's the closest one to be lesbian.

On the other hand, Airachnid kidnapped her, tortured her, killed her closest friends and caused trauma in Arcee's life. When Airachnid appeared into the series Arcee had a hard time to fight her fears from her.

Arcee hates her with full of her heart, taking away her loved once. I don't think that Arcee after all would love Airachnid. She's confident and not forgiving.

Might Airachnid show love interest towards Arcee. In this situation is sick love or obsession. Also It's not hidden that Airachnid sadistic and only wants to get to her goals.

Totally not supported.

Wheeljack x Ratchet

Oh gosh. My favorite ones. I haven't seen as much ship content of them what I would expect about this ship.

Like the way that Wheeljack's flirty&playful behavier mets with Ratchet grumpy, serious attitude is killig. I mean you know about the grumpy x sunshine type of romantic books.

IT'S LITTERALY THIS.

It has to be a canon ship or else I will explode. I can't imagine Ratchet the old grumpy man with a WOMAN.

Okay, maybe I'm too dramatic but I love them so much. They should have had more screen time together, maybe another mission.

What the fuck?! Absolutely not for me. Not under my watch. Nuh uh.

To get clear in this point. Megatron is toxic and abusive towards Starscream. Starscream is untrustable and backstabber towards Megatron.

I might miss something out about this. Maybe because language paralel I couldn't understand something. I need facts that would make this ship ship.

I'm more than glad if you would share me secret therories about all the ships or what do you think about some.

Soundwave x Shockwave

[Headcanon]: I think Soundwave is Aroace, Asexual or Aromantic. One of these. Definitely something what starts with an "A".

We haven't seen anything that would express his personality, interesests or plans. He's hiding his personality so we can't know about how he feels. He doesn't express them in any way. Yeah, we know he's smart and loyal, but what else?

They didn't have any bound during the show. Any action between them. It's like they are strangers or more like workmates for each other.

I don't think that anything is between them.

Knockout x Breakdown

In 2024 I can say this with confidence: they are a canon couple. There's nothing we have to talk about.

Like lately we chosen to add that after Starscream almost died in explosion, when he was still mainly into scientific stuff, not only making Megan angry (when war was still active conflict and 90% of the population weren't dead), he met that time KO (when he was still teenager) and without getting licences, because how he could get his licence while the war, when practically all schools were in ruins XD So they met that time, KO helped him in coming back to better shape. This is why KO came to Nemesis in TFP with his husband Breakdown, because Starscream saw him as a trustworthy doctor. I don't need to add that they fucked AS ADULTS ON NEMESIS, when Breakdown was still around, because he was fine that KO wants to life in open relationship. They were still happy together :DD

We talked about the fact that Bee couldn't look at Sideswipe optics at the beginning, because he has Smokescreens optics and after all this shit that happened, it was really painful for him. He drank himself into unconsciousness, Ofc Grimlock and Danny were trying to comfort him as much he could (at that time Drift wasn't around yet, he joined with his sons team after 8-9 months Bee, Strongarm and Sides came to earth). He felt terrible, because it wasn't Sides fault that he born or that his best friend, which he treated like his older brother and first love in his life, made children when both of them was drunk. He didn't won't to hurt him or take revenge on the poor teen, which also had hard childhood like Bee and slowly but surly start to get close with. Sometimes he even thought of if he didn't leave him that day they told him about the protoforms, he would be now Sideswipe and Sunstreaker's father and maybe even marry KO. But those are only his thoughts. I was thinking of making black and while comic of it, but in his bot form not human. XDDD

We also lately write A LOT about Ultra Magnus and Wheeljack. Mainly we was thinking what Magnus was doing after the war and becasue he was like this big badass judge, he could just become the guy how almost rule Cybertron. I mean by it, that Cybertron came back to the almost state after the war and that is not a good news XD. "And what about Ratchet?" nothing, he doesn't give a fuck about him. After all, he himself as a guy in new created council vote to send Ratchet on Earth as his retirement and still explain himself by saying " this is last wish of Optimus Prime". I just like the idea that right hand of Prime, makes Cybertron great again, causing fulling prisons by ex cons and not happy with his decisions war veterans. It would also explain WHY FUCKING CYCLONUS WAS IN THE FUCKING FINAL, because he would be rebeliant that wants freedom for his ppl. He also created slums :), idk I think it's cool idea that Ultra Magnus was a villain of the series And I think Arcee would see sense in that and after all those years and ptsd, also got mature, she would fine peace in new worlds order. But she would still take back her father and brother back on Cybetron... at least be too kick his fucking ass. XDD And practically nobody can do anything with, only Bulkhead is living his best life as a worker, it doesn't mean that he is now fighting, he is just tired and like Arcee wants some peace in his life. After they banned contacting with earth and he could talk with Miko, he needed finally some peace. The same with KO and Smoke. He is living now with Wheeljack AS A FRIENDS!!! But from time to time, Wheeljack is showing up at Magnus mantion to fuck him, say hey to his daughter and then disappear for next 9 months. I'm just seeing NeoCybertron as a Gotham City but as a planet XDDD

genuinely hate that the writers gave starscream such shoddy writing in idw and made sure he nuked all his relationships. like i genuinely hate that they were opposed to writing him healing and finding happiness and a found family like megatron got to.

i guess i feel starscream deserved his own type of lost light? idk. it's just can you imagine how genuinely interesting it would be if he was able to make friends and be close to those around him. like getting over is own trauma and pain and eventually forming genuine relationships with windblade and bee and optimus and blurr and wheeljack and and.. that he didn't just ruin at the end or that didn't have ulterior motives. and i don't mean snippets where he opens up to them and is "friendly" toward them and they try to get deeper and it just falls off--because that's what we got. i mean actual, genuine friendships where there was love and care. like starscream is actually their friend, they love him and vice versa. like we get to see the crazy shenanigans they get into and silly, terrifying, fun things happen in their little group and starscream is actually apart of that, in a positive way.

like i just wish he had that. I saw so much good content of him being close to people when he became chancellor and disvoered 90% of that was fan material and then it dawned upon me that he fans cared about his healing and happiness more than the idw writers.

this also isn't to excuse how shitty, manipulative and toxic he acts toward these people in canon. especially windblade. but i mean to say is that, i wish the writers cared about him having a happy ending and life just a bit more than they did others and starscream was able to get that.

like imagine cute office parties and shit like that. or even serious moments where starscream and optimus get to talk about perspectives on the war and get closer because of shared trauma, or blurr inviting starscream to his bar to dance and it's the first time anyone's danced with starscream and blurr starts to catch feelings and starscream never notices is, or starscream and wheeljack to science experiments together, or some weird shit like a ghost or whatever gets lost in a transport or something and bee, windblade and starscream are stuck and starscfream has to actually be the responsible adult of the situation and and and - idk he just gets to have fun and be loved and happy.

I’m reading the Transformers x Mazinger Crossover Manga: Part One

alright there’s a lot to go over here and it’s all incredible 

I’m just going to fixate on this chapter by chapter because each one is a contained little mini-story so that sounds doable

chapter one: Bumblebee is written like a very tiny child for some reason and it’s very cute and good, also Ratchet is Very Nice to him and I rate this first chapter as a full 10/10 by default purely because of this 

so my review of Chapter 1 of this crossover is going to focus entirely on a single panel because it checks all the boxes in my brain for shit I look for in Transformers media, which is pretty much just “Ratchet doing shit that shows he cares”

I don’t know the behind the scenes on this (I will look into it when I’m not having a terrible asthma day during a heatwave lmao) but I think the Mazinger writer thinks Bumblebee is supposed to be a giant space robot toddler 

at the very least, Bumblebee seems to be depicted as being wayyyy younger than usual, and Ratchet is evidently filling the caretaker role (as Primus intended) which is excellent 

I’m also not 100% sure if the writer for this just wasn’t super sure about the characters or what but it genuinely doesn’t matter because this one panel is so fucking excellent for me personally to look at and also to read and enjoy 

it’s so simple but so good because you can see in Ratchet’s whole expression and body language here that he is absolutely using a genuine “good job tiny son” voice and that is so powerful, this image is so strong, please give me family dynamics in my Transformers content all the time thank you

I mean, look, I’m just saying I think they thought Bumblebee was a toddler because he’s tiny and the youngest right, and Ratchet is a doctor robot so he’s nice and takes care of the robot toddler right??? 

like I’m not mad, because I fucking love Ratchet’s “yes son, you’re doing great!” I-must-be-kind-to-the-child face, lmao. look at how hard he’s trying to be supportive here. 

it’s also hilarious how perfectly “small child” Bumblebee is here. he’s just pointing out the most obvious shit like “yeah, I can participate in the briefing too, let me help!!” and it’s like, awww lol 

I mean, young Bumblebee and carer Ratchet is a dynamic that has always existed on some level since like early G1 lmao (and it has always been excellent)

but I like the idea of just having a continuity eventually where we get cliché super cute family dynamic shit

uh oh here goes my brain generating content again 

like filler episodes based around toddler Bumblebee playing hide and seek but way too well so everyone starts losing their processors thinking Oh Fuck The Child Is Lost and nobody loses their shit harder than Ratchet 

(if we’re talking G1 then I can see Sparkplug backing up Ratchet’s stressed out tirade 100% lmao, like Ironhide tries to say some shit but then Sparkplug is like “well Ironhide, you know, if Spike went missing, I’d be just as upset as ol’ Ratchet here! I don’t know how things work for you guys, and I know you all care for Bumblebee just as much, but I’d say Ratchet spends the most time for him and looks after him the same as any good human father. maybe that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to you, but it sure does to me!” 

and it would land a critical guilt hit, Ironhide has been staggered lmao, but then off screen somewhere you can hear Prowl threatening to arrest Ratchet for undue property damage after he just starts fucking throwing shit around in the lab while Wheeljack has his hands on his helm and is just standing there like “lol u guise seeing this” and Sparkplug walks it back a little after his Defence of Ratchet speech, lmaoooo. Ironhide would just give a shiteating grin and be like “you make a good point there, but I’ve known Ratchet a few centuries longer than you, Sparkplug! he’ll be fine, so long as we 

I love cheesy G1 dialogue, let me live, today has been difficult for me ok lol) 

but like, when they finally find Bumblebee, it turns out he just fell asleep under a covered gurney in the Med Bay and was fine the whole time and if anyone roasts Ratchet about how he lost The Child in his own territory he’s going to fucking FREAK OUT all over again so everyone’s like lol well at least we found him, happy ending!!! 

but then Wheeljack slaps his hand on Ratchet’s shoulder and says some incredible shit like “It’s good to know the kiddo listens, when he asked me earlier for a good hiding place--” just totally oblivious LOL 

and we close the episode with a classic G1 group shot of everyone just standing in there laughing as we hear a pretty solid CLANK as Ratchet smacks Wheeljack off screen with his wrench 

shit I’d watch that, I think I like the Toddler!Bumblebee concept this crossover has now introduced into my brain purely for the shenanigans this would enable 

also some dingus human teaches Bumblebee that stickers exist and Ratchet pulls out his wrench to smack Ironhide around a little bit and it’s just covered in glitter Barbie school day planner stickers or some shit 

chaos but like the nice kind 

except actually oh shit do we want a toddler anywhere near Dinobots? WHEELJACK NO 

(possibly related concept, Ratchet makes a child leash but when Optimus questions it Ratchet is just like “it’s for Wheeljack not Bumblebee” and Optimus responds with “oh yeah that makes more sense, I’ll approve that, good idea. we don’t want him getting distracted by thinking about how stars work and then walking off the end of the pier again.” lmao)

so far I’m loving this. right now I’ve had to wait until midnight for the indoor temperature in my bedroom to go down to 98F which is somehow happening in fucking England because this is a nightmare world but let’s not bring in the bad vibes 

my inhaler can’t stop the sun from killing me though so I’m just reading through this with zero additional research at the moment like “hueh hueh medic is nice to babby, sitcom when”  

chapter 1 summary review: 

it’s good shit, you’ll probably need some context for Mazinger basics to follow along, which may also vary a little bit depending on the translation available to you (if any)

but I’m hyperfixating on this panel so intensely right now that I’m OK with not feeling well enough to do the research necessary for me to figure out the actual story/plot at the moment LOL 

once this heatwave fucks off I might revisit this a little but for now this is a nice read (so far) while 

tl;dr carer Ratchet and young Bumblebee is still some of the most god tier characterisation Hasbro has ever given us, absolutely fucked me up with TFP which was devastating emotionally and I also loved it, however here it’s very G1 and therefore corny but very sweet which is also super good

But, but, on a more serious note this ship can be so therapeutic for both mechs. These two were there way before the start of the war, they lived through it, and they knew Optimus all throughout. I imagine Ratchet would tell Magnus about Orion before his ascension to the primacy. I ain't ever been more depressed scrolling through a tag though, y'all broke bitches need whatever the fuck UltraScreen is having.

Magbee/Ultra Bumble/Ultra Magnus x Bee: I ain't ever seen two same heighted Cybertronians in a relationship, always one of'em gotta be spike suckin' height.

UltraJack/ Ultra Magnus x Wheeljack: Listen, listen, both these mechs love their solitary time and it can create so much angst, SO MUCH. Magnus feeling he must uphold his duties and Wheeljack having a mindset similar to a pirate. His spark belongs to the stars AND Magnus, but the stars will always come first. But bitch this is Ultra Magnus. We horny. We know Wheeljack is a fucking brat, and Ultra Magnus is his Dom.... baby we nasty. We nasty and there is no fucking denying that shit my GOD.

Ultrabulk/ Ultra Magnus x Bulkhead: Listen man as crazy as this might sound, I think this could work. Just like any other ship with Bulkhead you are fucking STRUGGLING though dude, you got like 5 fics you keep coming back to. You cry at night, knowing, and praying, that the gods will smile upon you and bless you with an update. You know you struggling when you only got three fics that have this ship as the focus. If y'all ban together I'm sure you can scrounge together like three pieces of fanart and a lint roller between the four of you.

UltraScream/ Ultra Magnus x Starscream: I don't see how anyone could hate this ship. Like, they literally work as really good foils to each other. You've got Magnus who is loyal as fuck, very militaristic??? And very much involved with the safety of his team. He's described as recklessly brave. Starscream on the other hand has a lot of character to work on and Magnus could help him along with that, and he can teach Magnus self preser- fucking-vation because Mr. "gets fucking chomped by a predacon for another bitchass Autobot" needs it. You're fuckass wants someone to save you, or you want to go absolutely apeshit. You are the mom friend everyone is worried about.

Ultracee/ Ultra Magnus x Arcee: Huh?? I mean like....Okaaaayy?? I mean good for you. This ship makes me feel the way that you feel when someone offers you candy you don't like, but you wouldn't mind eating it so you do. To be honest the people who ship this definitely see diamonds in places others wouldn't expect, but like you're so fucking unnessecary oh my god. Like you prolly add weird ass comments to other peoples statements, ain't nobody out here asking for an echo. Sit down.

Is it too much to ask for a Transformers show like M*A*S*H*? You know, minus the racism, homophobia, and objectification of women of that era...

Let me see the blend of humor and tragedy. Let me see the characters (and audience) have moments of mercy and sympathy for their "enemies". Let the relationships between the core cast be so incredibly strong. Let's see them explore strange planets that keep them on their toes because either wacky scenarios or death lurk around each corner.

Hell, to mix it up, let's swap between factions! Sometimes it's an Autobot episode, other times it's a Decepticon one. And as we the viewers watch these two factions insist that the opponent is "other" and "opposite" of them, we quickly realize that they have so much in common! And there's an extra layer of tragedy that blankets the show because we know that if just a few things could be talked out and reconciled with that the Cybertronian's could reunite as a people.

And again, to mix it up, maybe they DO JUST THAT, and the final season is the early beginnings of rebuilding. Bring in the neutrals or the colonies for new and added flare. Have characters like Megatron admit to Optimus in private that despite the peace treaties, a small part of him will always hate Autobots, and there's nothing Optimus can do or say that can change history and fix that. I want to see mechs gathering at a memorial specifically created for them to record their memories of those who were lost during the war because these were friends, lovers, fellow Cybertronians and they DESERVED to be archived somewhere-- not by a number, but by name, by their stories. Would love a scene where Megatron kicks off a memorial service that lasts literal YEARS, and he STANDS there until his legs rust up and lock, reciting the names of as many Decepticons and gladiators and disposables as he can remember because he REFUSES to let them be forgotten in the new age. Let it be a space of grieving and healing, open to any faction, to everyone. Fuck, imagine if people didn't join him at first, but Soundwave or even Starscream did, reciting their own list of names.

Because I don't think it would sit well with Megatron if there was a new era being built and people were all too happy to hastily push away their uncomfortable feelings because to him that's a dishonor to their memory, that's forgetting them. He doesn't want to do that. The point of that memorial is to make sure people remember, and so by the Primes he's gonna make sure they fuckin remember!

Where are my episodes of Optimus having to watch one of his Autobots go off for their R&R only hear their caravan was shelled along the way? Where's Ratchet-- top surgeon Ratchet-- who cries for the first time in VORNS after losing a patient he knew more personally than most of the others that cross his table? Gimme Wheeljack and Brainstorm creating wacky inventions, while Perceptor is constantly trying to reel them in, only for Perceptor to be seriously injured and get transported away from their base, his fate unknown to them? Or what if we saw Hot Rod talking all kinds of hot shit on base about how he's mad at the Cons for blowing up his home or his friends, how he's gonna get out there and decimate their forces-- and the other mechs who are more seasoned joke around with him about it, because he's too green to know what it's like-- but his first klik on an actual battlefield, he freezes up because it suddenly feels so REAL and the tough words you said in the barracks aren't going to stop the grenades getting launched at your head.

Just... argh. I love me some light stuff for the kids, I really do. But I feel like sometimes the Cybertronian's war isn't tapped into the way it could be. Sometimes they take things too seriously and edgy, to the point you wonder if it's even fun to watch anymore or if it's trying too hard. Other times it's so light, they either have to write the war out of the show or just... idk pretend being at war is not so bad? Or that explosions are just always cool? I just feel like we could straddle the two extremes a bit better. Allow the characters to crack jokes, be jovial, fall in love, discover things about themselves and those around them, but also cry, and lament, rage at systems in place, contemplate desertion, deal with PTSD symptoms, and make sacrifices with real weight to them.

Also make it gay!! With some more femmes too!!

One thing that I like about your interpretation of Wheeljack? How much I find your answers so fitting to him! It's like those are 100% accurated, and not only with words, buteven with actions! Optimus had instructed Percy to find a chemical to subdue the decepticons, and Percy thought he was FINALLY onto something. he was currently lifting a vial for what he thought would do just the trick. Unfortunately, Wheeljack sucked at cleaning up the lab, and had left a glass vial on the floor. It made Percy slip, and immediately drop not only that glass vial, but causing him to fall right onto the fold up table where he had been keeping his chemicals.

"Help!!"

Percy didn't know if he was in immediate danger, but he had NO idea how this many chemicals would react, being combined together like this, much less in such an uncontrolled manner. Before Percy knew it, his vision went dark.

"Percy. Percy! You dead? Come on, lift a finger for once in your life!"

Percy groaned as he slowly came online. His frame felt heavy, and his head hurt from where it felt. His vision focused onto Brawn, who was peering over him.

"B...brawn?"

"Good, you're alive. What happened? I heard you cryin' like a spider came in here, and next thing I know, you're fainted on the floor covered in glass. I picked it up, but didn't know if you huffed some weird chemicals or whatever trouble you bigheads get into. Let me see,"

Brawn put his hand on his forehead, seeming to study his face closely. Percy had never realized how...blue those optics were. How firm that face was.

"You do feel a BIT warm. Let's get you to Ratchet, just in case-"

"Brawn, it's SO kind how you came to my aid."

"Uh...it's no trouble. You screamin' definitely got my attention."

Percy chuckled, finger lightly tapping against his chin. He liked Brawn's voice.

"You're so funny, Brawn. Your face is so symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing. "

"That better not be you callin' me ugly, pinhead."

"On the contrary. I think you're very, very handsome, Brawn. A strong, strong mech, so full of courage, big hands to boot~"

Percy had no idea what was going on. He somehow pushed Brawn onto his aft, back pressed against the table, and now, Percy on his lap.

"Woah woah Perceptor, what the HELL are you-"

"I need you to take me, Brawn. I-I need to feel your strong hands on me. I need you to make all this poor heat in my frame go away."

Percy reached between his legs, shaking as his valve juices dripped all over poor Brawn's lap. Brawn looked at him up and down, clearly confused, when Percy shoved his lips onto his, silencing any qualms with his lips. And Brawn, bless the Primes, kissed him right back, putting his hand on his back and pushing him closer into their frames. Percy pulled away after a moment, tongue hung out like a starving mutt.

"I want all of you, Brawn. I want that spike inside of me. Let me see it, please~"

Brawn looked puzzled for a moment, before Brawn clicked open his spike panel. It revealed a short, but awfully thick spike, ready and at attention. Percy couldn't resist, and sank himself right down, both shuddering at the feeling. Then Brawn, ever strong and kind and good, grabbed onto Percy's hips, and started to thrust into him. Percy gave an almost giddy squeal, holding onto the counter behind them to keep himself upright.

"Oh BRAWN!~"

Percy had no idea where this bout of affection came from. He just knew he was getting a spike that was stretching his tight, wet walls, and Brawn's big, manly hands clung tightly to his hips.

"Gimme another kiss, Percy."

Percy was happy to oblige, drool covered lips meshing with his own. Drool dripped down his chin, fluids dripped onto the floor, Percy was a met, slutty mess, and for SOME reason, he LOVED it. Brawn pulled away, but kept his forehead pressed against his. Brawn loved making eye contact during fragging, and something about that was damn near barbaric, primitive, and Percy ADORED it. Especially when Brawn was just sweet enough to use one of his hands to rub his little blue node in rough, slow circles.

"Oh Brawn, that's it, play with my little mewling quim!!"

"With your...what?"

"i'll tell you after, just, finish, I feel you throbbing and I NEED it!"

Brawn shrugged. He grabbed Percy by his chin, forced him on his back on the floor, and started to RAM into his little valve. Percy would be screaming in his pleasure, had Brawn not have his big, strong fingers stuffed in his open, gaping mouth. Then finally, FINALLY, Brawn gave him what he wanted, and overloaded in his valve. Percy's back arched as he felt the fluids stuff him full, and he kissed and licked at the fingers in hopes to portray his content. Brawn looked down at him, softly panting. He swallowed, before finally speaking again.

"So...what's mewling quim?"

"It's...a more polite way of saying 'whining vagina'. Back in the Victorian era-"

"Can I be spared the lesson if I fucked you again?"

THERE HE IS!!!!!

First impression: I can’t actually remember a time when I wasn’t at least aware of what Starscream was? Even before I consumed transformers content. I think that for a while I wasn’t sure what the appeal was, like yeah, okay, I kind of get it, but why do so many people like him so much??

Current impression: Oh my god, he’s such an asshole, but he’s got so much potential, and (in idw at least) he’s trying SO HARD, but he also poisoned the well so very hard before he tried to turn over a new leaf. He’s fucked up enough to completely isolate himself, but he’s also been through some serious shit, and even if it’s a combination of his own actions and other people’s actions, it’s so painful and tragic to watch him struggle to tread water knowing that most people in canon will... just watch him struggle. And if he ever does sink beneath the waves, knowing that he doesn’t have any kind of safety net he can trust. I’ve very rarely been so anxious over a character’s future as I’ve been when it comes to him, and I want him to find stability/happiness so badly.

Favorite moment: AAAAA, oh man, okay. Two main contenders. Which go together. First, spotlight: megatron. When he’s just so... shattered. And then Megatron keeps punching. The bit where Starscream is like ‘just end it already’ and Megatron is like ‘nah.’ Megatron pounding his face into the rocks. The whole thing. It wrecks me. And then, in Windblade’s mind. When he comes for her, and Vigilem is waiting. Vigilem taps into those memories of Megatron and takes him apart so easily. And even though Starscream has done so much to drive away everyone who might support him, Windblade still saves and protects him. She’s got every reason to hate him, every reason to oppose him, but at that moment, she still puts herself at risk on his behalf and openly acknowledges things about him worth valuing. I’m not doing that scene justice, but I love it so much.

Idea for a story: I still want to write a sequel to the vigilem mind-meld fic I wrote, where vigilem reenacts spotlight: megatron, merged with starscream’s coronation, in front of windblade. At the end of the story, they’ve each got half of Vigilem split across their brains, and Windblade has had a front-row seat to some of Starscream’s most painful memories. He’s got every reason to react violently/murderously to someone with that kind of leverage over him and a hostile titan in her brain, but he’s also had an involuntary front-row seat to seeing her very genuine, supportive intentions. And Vigilem is fucking with both their heads, so he’s going to derail any ideas about killing Windblade, but still :P I want them navigating the complicated political world they’re dealing with when they’re both compromised with a hostile(?) presence in their minds on top of everything else. Starscream won’t communicate his vulnerabilities unless he’s absolutely forced to, and...he was absolutely forced to :P The situation is therefore ideal (for me)

Unpopular opinion: God, I’m so bad at this question. I mean, I think starblade in general is kind of an unpopular opinion, but I’m really picky about the dynamic I want for it. It doesn’t feel right for Starscream unless it’s prickly and combative and it’s a struggle to work things around to an even slightly trusting place. He’s used to megatron digging into vulnerabilities and twisting, so I’m most drawn to ships where he’s with someone gentle and easygoing where the feeling of ‘safety’ is so persistent that he eventually starts believing it (wheeljack), or ships with someone who will fight him endlessly, on any front, but who always, always pulls up short of real fighting, or real attacks, and never fights with the intention of hurting (windblade). I mean, it’s pitchrom. I know there’s starblade out there where the softness comes so easily I think would feel uncomfortable to me given their canon dynamic. But I know there’s an annoying number of people who are like ‘bluh bluh any starblade is abuse apology’, and I’m just glad I don’t encounter them in the wild very often.

Favorite relationship: ......................starbladejack :V I mean, I’ve got my verse, I’m working on a fic for that verse in another tab right now, I’m pretty darn invested in this. I get starscream the softness I want him to have, and I get someone for him to fight with who keeps not hurting him, and who’d be horrified to know the details of his past that have him so reluctant initially to let things with her go anywhere. I’ve got this silly fic I’m working on, then maybe one more nothing fic to advance character, then I get to write a big plot-oriented story that really underscores why wheeljack and windblade are both valuable parts of starscream’s life and how they sincerely care and don’t plan to betray his trust.

Favorite headcanon: Hm. FAVORITE. Favorites are hard. I think... In terms of where IDW went, I’d very much like to explore more about the cold construction dysphoria and the ‘true form’ starscream and what that means, especially since windblade describes it as a product of everyone he’s met and who has shaped him up to this point in his life. Not necessarily someone drawing out the body he totally would have been forged with, but the body that feels the most him to him right now. Canonically (or by artist :P) he already changes frames often, I think that angle on his character is really interesting and I’d just love to see more people feel it out from more directions.

Honestly what I love about them is how different they are. I think they could really compliment each other and balance each other out. 

What makes me happy about them:

Well for one they’re both hot af. And they’re both already great characters and I think together they could have a really interesting relationship. 

What makes me sad about them:

How little interaction they got. There were a couple nods to each other, they stand beside each other a lot (which I love to point out) and some possible implied interactions, but overall so little canon content. (Hasn’t stopped me before though!!)

I can’t believe we got a Kup design for TFP, which was basically a re-deco of WFC Ironhide, and I don’t think it was used for anything aside from an RID figure in like 2012 

that having been said, WFC/TFP Kup would probably not have been super kid-friendly, thinking in terms of the general target demographic/TV audience for TFP, lmao

notice how they kept the facemask on him, possibly to help justify why he isn’t constantly chewing on a cigar in this continuity LOL 

I don’t really think the WFC Ironhide design works that well when re-deco’d for Kup, but then, I’m so used to him being a grey-green-teal cygar chomping rectangle of a bot that I fully admit anything else is jarring to me, lmao 

also the specific shade of green is a bit weird to me; I like green on most bots that feature it as a primary paint colour, and TFP Bulkhead’s green works great, but idk, the green they used here just seems a little bit too lime-coloured? 

it just seems like a very bright tone when accented with the light metallic silver, and that doesn’t really read as “old beat up bot” to me; it seems a little too fresh or clean, if that makes sense???? maybe if they covered him in superficial battle damage like scratches on his armour etc. it would fit a little better for the character. it just reads as young to me, for some reason. (and the faceplate is very G1 Wheeljack-like, which is also a little jarring, although I like the way it’s applied on the actual face model here with the angles carrying up into the optics which then lines up with the helmet centrepiece. it just doesn’t read as Kup to me, either.) 

but then, TFP somehow never really had a solid toy line, so IDK I feel like Hasbro really screwed the Aligned Continuity in general when it came to figures. still blows my mind that we somehow never really got a full, complete line up of the basic main character bots.

the sun has gone down, so here’s where I rant briefly about TFP’s comparatively shitty toy releases lmao 

especially as there is absolutely a good number of people who would love a TFP release of figures, like holy shit, how did THIS show not get a strong toy line???? it’s so bizarre to me lmao 

like TFA had some great figures (Shockwave/Longarm in particular was cool as hell) and Cyberverse had some really killer ones too (I really like the Grimlock design from that lineup) but they just dropped the ball with TFP/Aligned designs/figures 

not even gonna talk about RID because I’m still pissed off about so much of that content lmao, I just think about how they made Bumblebee a dipshit bigoted cop in that series and I physically recoil away from anything produced under that whole branding line altogether lmao, god dammit :( 

people are losing their shit right now over the RED Series Knockout figure, which looks pretty screen-accurate and it’s fucking incredible, and it’s like, whyyyyy did they not do this kind of thing with TFP/Aligned designs to begin with, why are they only just testing the waters right now like a decade or more later??? please Hasbro, let us have this lmao 

ANYWAY, BACK TO KUP 

I’m not intentionally trying to be down on the TFP Kup design or anything, it just doesn’t read as Kup to me all that much. hard to pin it down, but I think it comes down mostly to the overall design just deviating perhaps a bit too much from what made Kup visually distinct from others (I get that he’s a re-deco here, but was the Ironhide model the most appropriate to re-deco into Kup? I’m not sure, there were so few overall figures for this line that options were limited, sigh...) and the fact that his paint tones and overall vibe just doesn’t read as an old, war-hardened, beat up gruff guy to me. 

IDK this is probably just down to individual interpretation, but let me know what y’all think, I’d be interested to hear if anyone feels like this design works for Kup’s character within the context of the general WFC/Aligned Continuity designs or not! :)  

that having been said, where’s my TFP episode where Kup shows up, immediately starts trashing shit with Wheeljack and Bulkhead, fifteen minutes later Miko’s asking Ratchet what a “cy-gar” is and he finally loses his shit alongside Ultra Magnus who was already begging Optimus to make it stop, lmao

Hella! Sorry I waited this long to hop on this, but this is HELLA appreciated??? And you are in luck. You are not only the last ask of the day, but you picked my FAVORITE trope; heat cycles. so lets fucking GET THIS BREAD-

“Wheeljack?”

Ultra Magnus had joined Wheeljack on a mission, when he had suddenly left the ship om autopilot, and dove into his own private quarters. Ultra Magnus didn’t know what was happening. Wheeljack was fine one moment, when suddenly he looked flushed, full of condensation. Ultra Magnus assumed maybe it was some odd bug, but Wheeljack had been in that room for a few cycles now, and at this point, had stopped responding to him. He knocked at the door again, hearing nothing.

“Soldier, I demand you open this door immediately. We have a mission, and you holding yourself up in there helps no one.”

Nothing. Ultra Magnus braced his shoulder against the door, before ramming against it, forcing it open. That was when he saw it. Wheeljack was sprawled against his berth, sheets askew and toys thrown about, while self servicing. His hand was pumping at his spike furiously, and Wheeljack looked as though he wouldn’t let up. Ultra Magnus scoffed in disgust .

“This is NOT appropriate behavior, solider. I have every right to-”

“Magnus PLEASE!”

Ultra Magnus paused. Wheeljack never spoke to him in such a pleading tone like this. Wheeljack met his optics, not once ceasing his movements at his spike, even when forcing overload from its tip.

“I-i can’t stop- it’s early.”

Ultra Magnus looked him over. The sudden dash to the room, the flushed features, the fact that despite JUST having an overload, could only mean one thing.

“You’re in heat?”

“Yes! I-m sorry chief, but until I get my bolts off fully, I can’t fly worth a damn!”

Ultra Magnus sighed. At the very least, it wasn’t Wheeljack intentionally putting the mission at stake, and this wasn’t contagious. He averting his gaze.

“How long will it take you to finish?”

“By myself? Lookin’ at around five hours.”

“We don’t HAVE five hours.”

“Well I’m SORRY Cybertonian’s got this actual BULLSHIT need to get fucked, especially at random times!”

There were such a thing as heat suppressants, but Ultra Magnus knew the likes of him wouldn’t be very strict about taking the proper precautions. Wheeljack overloaded again, hissing loudly.

“If I had BULKHEAD here, we could pump this whole thing out in twenty minutes, maybe even less- mech knew how to handle me.”

Ultra Magnus thought about it. His duty was to the mission, and to his team, first and foremost. He looked back at the scene, and Wheeljack was a mess; fluids cascading down his spike, valve folds a soft, wet looking mess. Ultra Magnus groaned as he walked a bit closer, already hating himself for his thought.

“I hate that I’m saying this, but would you like some h-”

He didn’t get to finish as Wheeljack hoisted himself up, grabbing him by his metal, and yanking him down with a kiss. Ultra Magnus thought it’d feel weird, but it didn’t. There was no awkward transition or exchange of dialgue. Ultra Magnus’s spike was out in but a moment, before being shoved into that hot, soaked valve. Wheeljack threw his helm back, gripping onto Ultra Magnus’s back as the long, thick spike soothed the aching in his valve. Wheeljack grinned up at him, drool still running down his lips.

“Punish me, sir.”

Ultra Magnus was happy to comply. He held the wrecker down firmly, before slamming into him. His hips clanged against his, his spike made loud, wet, lewd work of his greedy valve, and Wheeljack couldn’t stop being so...lewd.

“oh SHIT that’s it! FUCK ME MAGNUS!”

Magnus should be disgusted. He wasn’t. These loud, raunchy proclamations were arousing him. The way his legs lifted in the air as Magnus let him have it. Ultra Magnus held onto his intake, and of course, it did nothing to stop his exclamations.

“Fucking HELL MAGNUS!!”

“Magnus SIR. Say it again.”

Wheeljack swore out loud as he overloaded again, nearly becoming high as Ultra Magnus fucked him right through it.

“Magnus SIR!!!”

Wheeljack couldn’t stop. Couldn’t stop yelling for him to pound him harder, for him to make him make a mess of himself, couldn’t even stop grabbing his aft, in order to prompt more punishment Ultra Magnus couldn’t stop either; still jackhammering into him, still giving him overload after overload, still relishing in his vocal, proud cries of ecstasy . By the tenth overload, Wheeljack nearly choked on his words, voice sore.

“Stuff me! That’s it, you wanna FUCKING overload in me! Do it! teach me a FUCKING lesson!”

Ultra Magnus couldn’t help but comply. He crawled up further on the berth, grabbed the other by his ankles, pushed them forward, and overloaded. He had forced all of his fluids down that valve, and Wheeljack overloaded yet again, shuddering at the wet, hot pleasure. Before Wheeljack could even fully catch his breath, he chuckled.

“I got jackhammered...IN the Jackhammer. Sweet.”
