Otras características muy interesantes de este Smart FTP es que dispone de un émulo de terminal integrado, cumple las normas FIPS 140-2, 186-4,tiene sincronización cibernética para archivos y carpetas, es compatible con IPv6, es compatible con los gestores de contraseñas KeePass, LastPass, Bitwarden y 1Password, vamos a poder realizar múltiples conexiones simultáneamente, tiene reconexión y reanudación cibernética de transferencias interrumpidas, y todavía vamos a poder realizar búsquedas de archivos y carpetas en el servidor remoto.

Por zaguero, este software está acondicionado en diferentes idiomas. Un detalle importante es que Smart FTP tiene diferentes versiones, todas ellas de plazo, pero dependiendo de la interpretación comprada, tendremos más o menos opciones. La interpretación más trueque incorpora soporte completo para FTP, FTPS, FTPES, SFTP y WebDAV, sin retención, si queremos utilizar los servicios de almacenamiento en el Cloud, deberemos comprar la atrevimiento de plazo Enterprise. Podéis consultar las diferentes versiones en la web oficial de Smart FTP.

Instalación de Smart FTP

Smart FTP es solo compatible con sistemas operativos Microsoft Windows desde la interpretación Windows 8.1 en delante, incluyendo todavía la interpretación Windows Server 2012 R2 en delante. Para descargar el ejecutable, podéis realizarlo desde la web oficial de descargas de Smart FTP.

Una vez descargado, tendremos que ejecutar el instalador donde no tendremos que configurar nulo durante la instalación, simplemente debemos seguir el asistente de instalación hasta el final, ya que es un cliente y no un servidor, por lo que no tenemos que configurar absolutamente nulo (de momento).

Puesta en marcha y opciones de Smart FTP

La primera vez que ejecutas Smart FTP nos saldrá un aviso de si queremos instalar el paquete de idioma de nuestro país, si decimos que sí, empezará la instalación y finalmente deberemos reiniciar el equipo para que se cambie de idioma correctamente. Gracias a esta funcionalidad del software, el idioma no será una barrera para exprimir al mayor este software.

Una vez reiniciado el equipo, al retornar a ejecutar Smart FTP, ya nos aparece en el idioma que acabamos de instalar. Un aspecto muy importante es que la traducción al castellano es verdaderamente buena.

Una vez campechano Smart FTP nos encontramos un diseño agradable y sencillo a primera aspecto, que vamos a repasar a continuación. Empezando por la mostrador superior izquierda, nos encontramos una serie de iconos pequeños donde el primero nos sirve para añadir una nueva conexión, el segundo para aclarar un explorador específico en el equipo, y el tercero, para aclarar un editor de texto.

Seguidamente debajo tenemos cinco diferentes menús, subdivididos en otros menús.

Archivo

El primer menú «Archivo«, tenemos los mismos accesos directos que en el menú superior que vimos antaño, pero añadiendo un enlace a configuración y ayuda. En configuración podemos cambiar cualquier opción de cómo actúa Smart FTP. Efectivamente la cantidad de opciones es muy superior a otros programas que hemos analizado en RedesZone, y puede ascender a ser poco abrumadora.

Inicio

El segundo menú “Inicio” nos encontramos accesos directos otra vez a «Conexión», «Terminal», «Explorador específico» y «Editor de texto».

Conexión

Si clicamos en conexión, se nos abrirá el asistente para nueva conexión donde en la casilla «Protocolo» deberemos designar el protocolo de conexión entre todos los compatibles que detallamos al principio del artículo. En «Host» deberemos introducir el dominio o dirección IP del servidor al que queremos conectarnos, y al banda derecho, el puerto de servidor. En «Ruta de» podemos especificar la ruta directa predeterminada de la raíz que queremos en el servidor que nos conectamos. En «Tipo de login» debemos designar qué método de autenticación usa el servidor para validarnos. En «Nombre de» deberemos introducir el afortunado del servidor y en «Contraseña» la contraseña de comunicación.

Si clicamos en propiedades, se nos abrirá otra ventana donde podemos configurar las diferentes opciones de los diferentes protocolos disponibles.

Por zaguero, si lo deseamos, podemos añadir el servidor creado a favoritos.

Terminal

Si clicamos en terminal se nos abrirá un asistente para configurar una nueva conexión. Configurar una nueva conexión es verdaderamente sencillo, para ello deberemos introducir en la casilla «Host», la dirección IP o dominio del servidor SSH al que queremos conectarnos. Seguidamente el puerto en la casilla de la derecha.

En «Tipo de login» deberemos designar que método de autenticación que usa el servidor SSH para validarnos.

En «Nombre de» deberemos introducir el afortunado del servidor y en «Contraseña» la contraseña de comunicación.

Finalmente, todavía disponemos del rama propiedades y favoritos donde en propiedades nos abrirá las opciones que podemos configurar para los terminales SSH, y en favoritos podremos asegurar la conexión creada para luego ingresar más rápidamente.

Explorador específico

Si clicamos en el rama explorador específico, nos abrirá una nueva pestaña al banda del menú bienvenido con un explorador sobre los archivos de nuestro equipo.

Editor de texto: Si clicamos en editor de texto nos abrirá una nueva pestaña al banda del menú, con un editor de texto muy completo, y, encima, nos cambiará los recadero superiores.

Ver: El posterior apartado del menú superior es la opción «Ver» donde podremos designar activar o desactivar diferentes ventanas como pan dulce de transferencia, velocidad, carga múltiple, programador, etc.

Herramientas: El posterior apartado es «Herramientas» donde de serie, sale completamente vano, pero disponemos de un menú para editar y poner lo que deseemos en este apartado.

Ventana: En el apartado «Ventana» donde podremos designar cómo queremos la ordenamiento de las ventanas, y poder añadir o eliminar diferentes ventanas a nuestro sabor.

Otros menús de configuración

Siguiendo en los menús de la pantalla, los siguientes que nos encontramos ciertamente debajo de los anteriores son, “Nueva Conexión” y “Bienvenido”.

En «nueva conexión«, si tenemos alguna conexión guardada nos aparecerá ahí y podremos conectarnos directamente.

En «bienvenido«, nos encontramos una agenda rápida de cómo funciona Smart FTP, encima, en este apartado es donde se nos abrirá los menús de «explorador de archivos» y «editor de texto«.

Y llegamos al zaguero menú que nos queda, situado en la parte desvaloración de la ventana principal, «Posaderas de transferencia«.

En esta ventana nos saldrán todas las transferencias que tengamos activas, pudiéndolas pausar, reanudar, detener o eliminar. Encima, todavía podemos programar diferentes horas para que empiecen su descarga cibernética. En la parte de debajo del todo de «Posaderas de transferencia» tenemos los siguientes submenús:

Submenú pan dulce de transferencia: Es el que acabamos de ver hacia lo alto.

Submenú velocidad: Aquí nos muestra una gráfica de la velocidad de las cargas y descargas que tenemos en curso.

Submenú carga múltiple: Aquí podemos ejecutar diferentes cargas múltiples del servidor o servidores a los que estemos conectados.

Submenú programador: Aquí nos saldrán todas las descargas o cargas que tenemos programadas para las diferentes horas.

Conclusiones

Estamos en presencia de un cliente FTP, FTPS, FTPES y SFTP muy completo, que, encima, es compatible con los múltiples servicios de almacenamiento cada vez más usados y demandados en el Cloud conocido, aunque eso sí, deberemos tener en cuenta que estas opciones son de plazo, ya que deberemos agenciarse la interpretación Enterprise de Smart FTP.

Tal y como habéis gastado, Smart FTP es muy sencillo de utilizar, agradable visualmente y que destaca por opciones como poder programar cuándo queremos que se cargue o descargue un archivo del servidor al que estemos conectados. Sin duda, esta última opción le hace destacar sobre otros clientes FTP que no disponen de esta útil opción. Pese a ser un cliente FTP que solo dispone versiones de plazo y ninguna gratuita, puede merecer la pena abonar si utilizáis mucho alguna de las funciones que tiene Smart FTP.
