Okay this but *specifically.* A character whose entire life has been a sequence of doing what they have to in order to see the next sunrise, who's too busy *surviving* to really get to *live*. That character having an arc where circumstances throw them into scenarios where they make friends, experience life outside of what they've spent so long doing, realize that there's more to Life than simply continuing to Exist. Characters whose arc is discovering "I don't just want to survive. I want a life worth living. And I'm gonna fight to get it."
