Horizon Fan Game Released!

In celebration of the release of the Horizon fan game/visual novel @focusontheheart today, I was moved to attempt this Hades-ish style portrait of my favorite Horizon character.

I was doubly honored to be asked to do an illustration for the Kotallo narrative (not the above, you’ll have to play to see it! It’s the wet one. I can’t say more.)

A lot of excellent and dedicated fans worked hard on this game and I can’t wait to play it myself this weekend. Check out @focusontheheart to download it for FREE from itch.io.

Posting my CG art for @focusontheheart's Kotallo route written by the lovely @fogsblue and @mayalli!

I can't believe it's been a year since I was first asked to contribute for this project (I was still doing internships and had to delay starting it till a few months later 🤭), and I'm so glad to have taken part in it, even if a small bit.

Seeing the final product makes me all happy and giddy inside. Thank you to the entire team for giving me this opportunity and for the stories you've all shared. It's been a wonderful experience getting Aloy her smooches teehee

Oh hey y'all! The Spoiler embargo is finished and I can share what I made for @focusontheheart <3.

Firstly, my CG for my beloved Kotallo route (as well as all the sprites) showing my precious Blorbos going through their bonding swim <3.

Next I made a full CG for the beautiful Petra:

Walking through the Daunt, learning the focus and preparing for the adventure ahead!

And finally, my BOY, Drakka!

As they fall away from a Thunderjaw barrage, into an underground lake and on to their adventure!

That scene in the cave between Kotallo and Aloy is so barely PG-13. Like what the hell? If that was a fic, that would be the chapter that leads up to the smut.

everything seemed to be going so well... but then it was all "Yay i'm glad we're such great friends" and listen. i LOVE friendship. the last dozen+ fics i've written for my other fandom are all Gen. but I was going for the romance route and I'm like D: where did I go wronnggggg

guess I'll just have to play again to find out. 😌

Illustration for @focusontheheart, the Horizon fan game!

Now that the fan game @focusontheheart has been out for a bit, I can finally post the illustration I put together for the Kotallo romance path. It was a lot of fun to get to make this little piece and I'm honored to have contributed something to the game. If you haven't played it yet, you should! I got the smooch on my second go GAAAAAH it was so lovely to see art from the artists that I follow and admire. Everyone did such a fantastic job!

AND THE LONGING AND THE TENSION GAAAAH! SO PALPABLE I WAS SMILING THE ENTIRE TIME!!

just gonna join in the gushing a bit… @focusontheheart has been the most amazing project to be a part of 💙💙💙

seeing all the wonderful, enthusiastic, excited responses, hearing people enjoyed the stories, the art - getting the chance to be part of a story for Aloy has made it all feel worth it! ✨🎉✨🎉✨

but... I'm not gonna lie....

as the lead writer on Kotallo, working with @mayalli (writing) and @picksleydust (those amazing, beautifully drawn sprites 💖), I'm definitely so curious about everyone's thoughts, would love to know what people thought of Aloy's adventures with her Marshal 💙😉

and would love to see the thoughts on Petra too - @mayalli was our team Petra lead, with @maggierosestudio providing those stunning assets sprites 😏

I'm so excited for you to see all this work we did. Please be kind to our amazing team. We worked so hard to make this all for the fandom 💕 and we truly believe that there is no need for animosity between ships. We proved that by all working so closely and respectfully because we don't believe in yucking anyone's yum.

As soon as the spoiler ban is lifted, I will need prints of my favorite CG pieces. I don't even think I'll frame them, just plaster them in crazy collage above my bed so I can stare at them forever.

I keep trying to read through the credits, matching up the artist with the CG but I'm not fast enough. So if you worked on art for this game, know that it's amazing and I love you.
