Full Year F/O!

Instead of a prompt every day for a whole month I'll be giving a prompt for every month in 2023 and you'll have the whole month to do something for it! All works are welcome so it doesn't matter if you're an artist, writer, collage maker, gif maker, make fancams, etc so long as you you're loving your F/O have fun!

I'll try to make them themed with the months (note: I live in America so while I keep things in separation from super personal holidays it'll still be themed based on how the seasons are where I live)

I'll post the prompt of the month on the first day of each month!

Alright, here we go again. QSMP Day 26 Lore Update, based on what I saw and what I gathered from other people's summaries on Twitter:

First of all, I'd like to address the fact that Census Bureau seems to be more active these days, since Cucurucho was already spying on Vegetta before warning him about the no diamond rule.

Early on not much happened, Wilbur and Philza were introduced to each other's eggs and they had some family bonding time. It is now canon that Wilbur is Philza's son and Chayanne's brother, as well as Tallulah being their granddaughter and niece respectively. When things start to go downhill is after they log off, at Slime's stream.

At first Slime was just gathering resources, running away from mobs and trying to invoke angel!Rubius. Since q!Slime didn't know about Flippa's death at that point, he just kept finding stuff to give her whenever he sees her again (pain).

Everything would change with Cucurucho's visit while he was mining. They started asking him a bunch of questions about Flippa, and Slime started suspecting something had happened to her and demanded they told him. Cucurucho told him to "figure it out yourself", but in the end they did show him the clip of Mariana killing Flippa again.

Slime then enters a state of denial, refusing to believe his daughter is dead and hallucinating with her, however he seemed to finally accept her death after invoking angel!Rubius. Rubius addressed the fact that he had promised him an extra life for Flippa, though he said he had to "ask his father and other people" (aka he most likely promised him that in the first day of the event without knowing if he was allowed to do that lmao). He told Slime he had to choose between bringing back Flippa or Tilín, and Slime ultimately chose Flippa, but asked to give the life to Tilín if she didn't want to revive a second time. He also asked Rubius to not tell Quackity he was given the option to choose.

We now move on to Bad and Foolish, who learn about Leo's "friends": a platypus called Perry, Cucurucho themself and a mysterious black creature called Dark. This creature looks very similar to the monster Quackity drew according to a vision he had after Tilín's death, and according to Leo it protects her, though Foolish isn't very sure of this.

On his part, Maxo was getting drunk due to his grief over his egg's, Trump, death until he meets up with angel!Rubius, who accidentally tells him about Flippa's possible revival. Maxo confronts him about his own child's death and Rubius makes a deal with him to revive Trump if Maxo builds a church for him. However, soon would appear Cucurucho, who tells Maxo not to trust Rubius, and instead tells him that there's a chance that Trump can revive if he is online the next day, during the funeral for the eggs that have died. Maxo threatened then Cucurucho if they didn't actually bring back Trump, and they just... Laughed at him.

He then goes to visit Bad and Foolish, who by this point have had to fight a bunch of Withers Rubius spawned, to tell them about the deal and ask them for help. However they get interrupted soon by the binary code creature as well as more dragons attacking them. They are able to run away and get shelter though.

Maxo, Bad and Foolish start discussing and theorising some stuff, with Bad and Foolish agreeing to help Maxo if Cucurucho doesn't help him after all. Maxo also expresses worry that he's going to be turned into a robot like Luzu, as he was also told to go visit him by Cucurucho.

Turns out: Cucurucho was spying them, which they realised, and they followed Maxo as he ran away from them to make sure he actually believes them and tells him to trust the Census Bureau of the QSMP. The other two went their separate ways, with Bad going out of his way to check up on all the eggs and make sure no one would die out of neglect again.

And I believe that is all. Take into account I had to gather much of this from other people's commentary + the official update accounts so I might have left something out, but hopefully this is good enough.

Also, it seems something will be happening at the funeral, and since someone said "the worst is yet to come" my bets are Dark is gonna appear and won't be as kind as Leo believes it to be, but that's just a theory.

Reggie's parents get divorced. His mom starts dating Caleb. and his son Willie comes to live with them.

Bobby is Carrie's ghost friend, post canon.

Luke, Bobby, Reggie and Alex are raised catholic and they're all dating.

Sunset Curve versus Julie and the phantoms (Julie, Carrie, Bobby and flynn) in a rival bands AU

Reggie is Julie's childhood friend and Ray is his parental figure.

Julie, Carrie and Flynn bring sunset curve back to life and accidentally also bring willie back.

Bobby has a fight with his band, quits, becomes friend with a random group of girls, Flynn, Carrie and Kayla. Finds out their best friend is now best friend with his old best friends.

Some of these aren't even finished or beggined by the way. But i have them in my head and the descriptions are kinda long bc i forget what the story is about really easy.

Um. I don't even know that many people in the fandom who write. And the ones i know have already been tagged so i don't really have anyone to tag. But I'm sure on y'all asks reading those WIPs.

"You already know, don't you?"

The words left Jungkook's lips before he could control them. As much as he wanted to sound kinda nonchalant, he felt a pain in the back of his neck starting to bother him beyond usual.

He noticed what was about to happen the moment he entered the living room, closing the door behind him and without any sign of your presence waiting for him to come home. No welcoming hugs or your voice humming one of his songs while you cooking one his favorite recipes.

Jungkook noticed that you already knew about everything he did. He could see it in the dark circles under your watery eyes that kept looking at the TV in the room, even without paying real attention to the movie.

You just nodded your head, feigning disinterest about your fiancé's question — even though he could notice how your hands tightened the blanket that protected yourself from the cold.

"Honey—" Jungkook started, feeling his voice tremble and the bitter taste of blood in his throat. How many hours had he been almost biting his own lips?

Probably since he got on the plane to go home.

To come back to you.

You didn't even move, you just switch the focus of your attention for a few seconds. At the same time your eyes met his, Jungkook's heart broke into thousands of little pieces. But the gaze didn't last long. “Don't do it. I don’t wanna talk about that now, Jungkook.”

Before he could get the chance to argue against it or beg you to listen his apologies, you glared at him one more time, sending tremors through each of his limbs. He could barely sustain an exchange of gazes with you.

His fiancée. The love of his life. The one he longed to care for and protect until the end of his life. The one he should never break the heart to.

"Today is Valentine's Day."

Damn, he had really screwed up.

Swallowing hard, he nodded his head. "I... I know."

Your mocking chuckle reminded him that you knew him better than anyone. "I often can recognize your shitty attempts to lie to me. But you already knew that, didn't you?"

Fuck. "My love—" He tried to get closer to you and your double bed's edge, but the simple stretching of your hand towards him stopped his body.

Where was your engagement ring?

Something in your mind clicked on. "STOP CALLING ME LIKE THAT! ARE YOU DEAF? Didn't you listen me telling you that I don't wanna talk about your fucking cheating right now?" Jungkook's heart skipped a beat at the acidity in your tone.

The scary and new doubt in his thoughts was breaking him more than ever. "Where's your ring?"

"Wow, I'm glad you care about our engagement. When I saw so many pictures of you and that hot girl kissing at an afterparty of one of your shows, I really thought you had forgotten about it for a few minutes."

Jungkook whimpered due to your sarcasm, ignoring the fire in your gaze as he sat down next to you, already letting a river of tears run down his flushed cheeks. "Please, honey... You know I love you. That... that was a terrible mistake."

"Oh, Kookie..." His nickname never felt so painful on your lips. "I think 'terrible' is a very simple word to express how humiliating this is for me."

You felt like throwing up when he whimpered again, the bright tears suddenly progressing into a loud, annoying cry. You never imagined you would be so repulsed by looking into his Bambi eyes.

"I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. Please, honey..." Jungkook sobbed, ignoring her grumbles and pulling her into a tight hug.

You tried to push him away, taking off the weight of his arms that held you, afraid that you might escape after a blink of an eye. He couldn't lose you. He couldn't do it. "JUNGKOOK! LET GO OF ME! STAY THE FUCK AWAY!"

The more you tried freeing yourself from his body, the more Jungkook cried like a little child. You hated seeing him cry, almost as much as you hated him in that moment. Almost as much as you hated the pain in your heart begging yourself to forgive him. Begging yourself to keep loving him. Begging youself to give in and ignore your own mind.

You barely realized you were also a blubbering mess until you found it difficult speaking without letting out little shaky cries. "I fucking hate you. I... I hate you so bad, Jungkook. I hate what you did to me. To us."

"Me too..." Jungkook's voice sounded more broken than before and mixed with loud crying as he lightly opened his arms, freeing you from his desperate hug. "I hate myself too..."

"You disgust me, you're so disgusting. How could you do this?" You sobbed again, using all your effort to look away. If you let yourself be carried away by those pretty eyes that begged for your forgiveness, that story would repeat itself one day. You couldn't handle the possibility of living that situation all over again. "Oh my God. You really blew this. I hate you. You don't... You don't deserve me."

"I know..."

He really knew.

2023 was another big stepping stone with Cass. The character was featured in A LOT of stuff this year amongst a few negative antics.

But unlike prior years the good really outweighed the bad. BY A LOT.

So let's take a look back one final time #CAINAISSANCE2023...

The year started STRONG with the release of Batgirls #14 aka the BEST solo story that involved the character this year.

I've gone in LENGTH on how AMAZING this tale was. If you haven't read it DO SO. You don't need any context but to just take in the masterpiece given.

Writers Becky Cloonan and Michael Conrad gave artist Jonathan Case just this canvas of an issue to tell AN EPIC mostly silent issue.

If there's a tale Batgirls will be remembered for it'll BE THIS ISSUE.

I've lost count to just taking in the gorgeous art Case delivers here and just letting the actions and emotions tell the tale.

The only regret is well no full payoff to what is fully learned within this issue.

It just hits EVERY mark and is something any Cass fan CRAVED, but never got in Batgirl Vol. 1. Batgirls #14 was a worthy issue that should be talked about amongst fans of Cass for quite some time.

February gave us Cass's grand entrance to Ram V's Detective Comics run (#1069) and what an entrance it was! Literally, I can't let it go of how AMAZING it was.

And the run itself? It just keeps delivering as THE Batman book out currently.

It's a slow burn and when the run lays the payoffs IT HITS THOSE PAYOFFS. The series just ended an exceptional bi-weekly event that featured Cass and well, I'm extremely curious where this run goes with the character.

If anything, I just want MOAR from Ram V or a smaller secondary story involving Cass. But given the various characters he's been rotating and given next year is 2024 (more on that later) I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ALL OF THIS.

This run does work in trade but I digress you'd be missing the GORGEOUS covers this series has been shelling out. If anything BUY the single issues and read the run this way until you get to the present.

Or reread them like I've been doing. 😋

The early half of 2023 marked Cass's surprise return to an actual role in mega crossovers. She took part in the final issue of Batman vs. Robin being one of the random factors to stall the possessed Batman until ALL of DC's magical users came to cast it out of him.

The weakest of the crossovers the character was involved in I have to say was Gotham War. It was a nothing burger that made me swear off the Chip Zdarsky run of Batman completely.

Honestly, I feel more rewarded reading Tec more. Unless Chip pulls off a miracle turnaround in 2024.

But I digress Zdarsky was only half of the problems with the other being Tini Howard and yeah, if you were a Bat Family member who wasn't Jason Todd (how did that mini turn out to be more entertaining then the ENTIRE event?!)?

This story SUUUUUUUUCKED. Quite possibly the worst Batman event story since War Games/Crimes for me.

Sadly, the most disappointing stories I'd have to say are on equal ground in Beast World and Knight Terrors. As there was interesting concepts with Cass involving them, and both stories just go NOWHERE.

I feel more so robbed with Knight Terrors as the design for Cass within it went hard. It's just that you give us THIS design and tease us with this little nugget and give us NOTHING?

COME ON!

Beast World was a whole nothing burger as well, save the pretty art and a full confirmation that Cass's old NML is now canonically her defacto one again.

Even if we had it mentioned earlier last year and again in the best crossover event involving Cass...

WHICH WAS IN LAZARUS PLANET: DARK FATE #1. It gave us Alyssa Wong returning for a THIRD time to write Cass and they were joined by Haining on art which introduced us to the world of Xanthe.

That in itself led to a spinoff mini-series that had Cass in it with SPIRIT WORLD. It did more with the new character Xanthe and laid out their origins and powerset nicely while also laying some seeds for MAYBE future Cass stories.

Again, I feel like a repeating record on how GOOD this series was. Like, I can't wait for the trade next year to take it all in again. But besides the creative team delivering it gave us Dustin Nguyen AND Marcio Takara drawing Cass again OFFICIALLY AS BATGIRL!!

Even when this series ended, I STILL WANT MOAR!! Like what memories did Cass lose? What the heck happened with Spirit World twisting her memories of Batgirl Vol. 1 #72?! How will Xanthe be with the Jade Court?

SO MANY QUESTIONS!!

Something else that left me with MANY questions was DCeased universe as even though the story ended back in April.

I still crave more starring Cass, because let's face it STEPH/TALIA DESERVE CLOSURE!! Cass could be the gateway to that.

Doing so would tie up the final loose ends as well. Let's see how Rose is raising her kid with Jason. Silent Olsen. Harley/Ivy. Ollie/Dinah. Jim Gordon.

But I digress. It gives us more Cazzam. We need more Cazzam.

But an alternate universe Cass just didn't pop up there we had a Cass show up in various other comics. Knights of Steel which also had me hankering for MOAR and Harley Quinn & the Legion of Bats.

I know some didn't like it, but me? I think it was LEAPS and BOUNDS better than what we got in the actual season of HQ.

Let us never talk about that season again…

Now something we SHOULD talk about more is the first actual appearance of Cass in a DC ANIMATED MOVIE!! Yes, Kai Li Cain from Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham.

I was blown away at the extended role they gave the character in the film (to the, "Oh right Tim is here and alive." role in the books).

Kai Li voiced perfectly by Tati Gabrielle gave a balance of innocence and reason with the batshit craziness this film throws at us.

Like, I really REALLY want a sequel. Just to see what she'd do now given full access to Bruce's fortune? Will she follow his path? I mean yeah we want steampunk Bat!

Speaking of which artists we need designs for this stat still!

It just adds that anchor where you want to see more of this universe and the characters that inhabit it. I mean that's the sign of a REALLY good Elseworlds. Where you want more and sometimes you get just that.

But with all this good came the sad, and that was the canceling of Batgirls. I know many were against the series (especially after #7-8), but the series found its footing with #9 and ran into something I hope more positively can be talked about it.

It's true failing wasn't the creators behind the series, more just elements outside that just slotted it's end (Batgirl movie getting canned making #7-8 more wasteful), Evil Oracle #4 aka the pitch, and just being something it couldn't be).

I'm grateful for each and every creator who worked on this book because it was a GIFT that I'll always be appreciative of.

I'll say it again, THANK YOU TO ALL! 🙏

And its spirit lived on in the Nightwing back up a few months ago. It was something that was TRULY needed after the garbage fire that was Gotham War. It gave us this Cass/Dick sibling stuff and GIVE ME MOAR!!!

Unlike the past where we'd be done, DC brought us back up giving us the current BIRDS OF PREY ongoing which has Cass in it.

Really the series is a revelation of giving us things I always wanted that I'd never thought we get. Cass with Dinah? CHECK.

Cass meeting Big Barda and the two having a bond? HELLS YEAH CHECK! Anytime that bond grows I squee even more.

Just give writer Kelly Thompson ALL the time and ideas she has to churn this out to the proper conclusion she has envisioned. Just give me fifty-plus issues of her, Leonardo Romero, and Jordie Bellaire.

Finally of course there was Batman: Wayne Family Adventures which gave us THREE banger Cass stories. One where she and Steph are a MENANCE (as they should), Cass scaring the crapbaskets out of EVERYONE and of course...

Season 2 gave us A LOT of things I wanted in general (her interacting with Damian) and just showing the world why I really really love this character. Why I talk about her daily.

Really as 2023 closes and 2024 is about to begin... Well, it's the character's TWENTIETH-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY. 25 years of kicking ass and ripping our hearts out.

It's been a journey for sure.

really REALLY hope DC honors this anniversary and continues to mend the bridges burned all those years ago.

Give us that Omnibus. Give us a mini or SOMETHING to celebrate this character. If not, I'll take whatever Ram V and Thompson give us.

#CAINAISSANCE2023 may be over, but #CAINAISSANCE2024 will be the most important year yet.

Love: Without much surprise, Jisoo is still dating the same person she was dating from February reading. it things like she had fixed some of the problems that she had in the relationship and that things are going okay now 

Career: She is finally very excited and ready for her next projects that she has been working on. She was finally able to open the doors of herself and thanks to her connections inside the company, she will come back with many surprises this year. 

Self: I still feel some vulnerability in her energy, a lot of paranoia about her and this is probably because she is struggling with her life when it comes to being a public figure. Sometimes she wished to be a normal person because having people constantly looking at her and watching all of her moves is tiring. 

Jennie

Love: Again, her love life is always hard to read, mostly because her energy is very restricted. But i believe that Jennie is dating the same personas every but that they are going through some issues concerning the goals they have as a couple (they probably don't have the same vision for the future) 

Career: She isn't really focused on her career right now. It seems like Jennie has been rejecting a lot of contracts and career opportunities, because she is simply not interested in doing anything in particular at the moment. 

Self: she is happy, she is lucky and she is thriving and living her life according to her values and morals. she is feeling joy lately 

Rose

Love: She is still dating the same person as well, but for some reason I also see that Rose has been getting closer to one of her work colleagues. although i don't see cheating here, it's something to keep an eye on

Career: she is tired. Honestly, she is just tired and she sees the pressure of her fans to keep pushing forward and give content to be exhausting. Rose doesn't seem particularly thrilled about doing anything at the moment, so she is letting her manager handle all of it 

Self: she is okay, for the most part. She knows there's  a lot of things she needs to work on herself but she also has been realizing that she did a lot fo stupid things in the past years. so she is trying to get better 

Lisa

Love: dating and happy, she is lucky as hell, because she got everything one could potentially ask for. I don't have much to say about this. 

Career: I see that Lisa has been working on some type of project. out of all the members she seems to be the one who still has many goals and things she wants to do for her fans but also for her career. you can expect something from her. 

Self: She has been very extroverted lately, opening her social circle more and meeting more influential people to keep her agenda booked and big. Lisa is smart and she knows that by going out there she will have more opportunities for herself
