Jason's sleep was fitful, but he did manage to get four and a half entire hours of sleep.

Somehow.

Eventually, though, Jason just couldn't force himself to sleep any longer. He was way too antsy, and he knew himself well enough to know any more sleep he got that night would just make him feel worse than he already did.

Dick was sound asleep, sprawled out on the seats across from Jason. Jason kind of hated how peaceful he looked… but as much as Dick had annoyed Jason basically all day, Jason didn't want to disturb him. He wasn’t that mean. They all needed to be rested to get Damian back, after all.

But. 

No. It was fine. Jason wanted to know if there were any updates and how close they were to getting Damian. So. He could be an adult and go get that information all on his own. Like an adult. 

Like Damian’s adult.

Jason took a deep, steadying breath, then stalked over to the cockpit. 

Of course, Bruce turned and looked at Jason almost instantly.

He reiterated, “That means you can’t tell anyone,” a certain glare hiding behind his smile.

“I kno—”

“Not even your pet.”

At that, Antonio felt invisible hackles rise. He pried Feliciano’s hand from his person, not caring much if he squeezed too hard before throwing his hand away, and said as sternly as he could, “I don’t keep pets.”

the update!! is finally!! done!!! holy shit i'm so glad i can finally post this aubdskjg. it was so fun seeing everyone guess what ace was gonna do after the last part! turns out, he can be silly AND pissed! who knew he was so multitalented~ i do wonder though- with the abilities they had when they were 17, who would win in a fight... >:3c

if you're wondering why this update took so much longer to come out than the last one, well... i got halfway through making it and then scrapped everything and started over completely... ah eto... bleh >v<

so! first off! the scrapped pages:

the reason that i scrapped it is because... well. it doesn't flow well at all. i tried too hard to cram it to 4 pages which resulted in both the layout and the story flow feeling cramped. for the most part both versions cover the exact same beats but with the dialogue and timing/spacing tweaked. compare page 1 here to the first 2 pages in the final- it's the same exact scene but the final has way more impact because the larger panels give a 'pause' at emotional beats (such as ace's realization) that lets them sink in

my only regret is that i had to scrap sabo's expression in the first panel of page 2 aubsdkjfgb.

More about my pop punk band AU!! This time introducing Meryl and Milly as the bassist and drummer respectively

The band is called The Humanoid Typhoons now (tentatively), with Vash as the newest member after months of finding a lead singer.

The Humanoid Typhoons (TriBand AU)

Vash (Lead Singer):

-Was a university student before joining the band

-Insecure about performing onstage but eventually gains confidence

- ’Vash the Stampede’ becomes his onstage persona, notorious for performing dangerous stunts and wild antics (Which help boosted popularity of the band)

Wolfwood (Lead guitarist):

-Only skill in life is playing the guitar

-Raised in a strict Catholic orphanage, listens to punk rock as escapism

-Forcefully drags Vash into the band

Meryl (Bassist & Backing Vocals):

-Basically the band’s manager & driver

- Will smack you with her bass if you make fun of her height

- Listens to Kpop/Jpop more than rock

Milly (Drummer):

-Solves most of the band’s tension

-Actually knows more bands than all three of her bandmates combined

- Irreplaceable drummer

Haha yeah!! Loop-king, King of Loops, figurehead of the universe, constellation formed by the collapsing stars and wishes that bind them, that define them, a responsibility and love born of generations of dying stars and supernovas and stardust and new stars - or something like that!

A Loop, certainly. We're all Loop in these parts.
