It’s a shame that Park Sejin feels sorry for himself. It’s been how long; the years have vanished, and everything has died in Mokpo long enough until his return.
It’s a feeling that’ll always re-haunt him. In the same way that home is the first place he experienced death of the self. He cannot outrun this sort of self-pity, it seems. And he wonders if it burdens Jung Daehyun as much as it weighs over his shoulder. Sejin’s a fool for benign optimism, always and has been. There’s a hunch in his heart that made him want to believe that his absence induced some amount of tolerance. Not by a lot, that much he’ll be realistic about. But just a little to call a former house a home, an aunt and uncle for stopgap parents, just something to show for a family.
Sejin is a fool for giving too much credit where it was never due. He’s careful while he and Daehyun sit together in the back of an Uber. He no longer wants to add to the remainder of the day. His stare is fixed on the driver’s eyes, stagnant on the roads of South Jeolla that’d lead them to the sea.
Sejin’s hand on the seat moves outward. It’s slow and he pauses, like he’d been recalculating something and his nerves overtakes him. The vehicle takes a turn. Sejin’s body slouches towards Daehyun and his pinky finger prods Daehyun’s. He meant for it to be gradual, unhurried, and gentle. Just as he’d hope today would be.
He looks to the face of his lover. Sejin’s eyes softens when he does. There isn’t a soul on Earth that he gazes at, with infinite tenderness.
“I’m really sorry,” he says. His voice is low enough for Daehyun to hear. The speed bumps drown out his words. “I know I keep saying so, but I am.” Sejin manages a halfhearted smile. His pinky finger caresses Daehyun’s own. “I don’t think they took it too kindly of the fact that you’re a man,” he pauses, “well, the both of us, really.”
Their journey from the house Sejin grew up in to their hotel comes to a slow end. He gives Daehyun’s hand a final squeeze when the driver parks itself by the entrance. Sejin’s smile is fuller with conviction. “I’ll make it up to you,” he promises.
As he exits the car and thanks the driver, Sejin joins by his boyfriend’s side. The crisp air of December sweeps through his hair, the salted winds from Dadohae’s sea graze his face. He puts his hands in his coat pockets. If he could, he’d rather hold Daehyun’s, but let their country be a reminder of prejudices that the heart desires.
In the end, Park Sejin will always want Jung Daehyun. Nothing could change the fact.
Even if Sejin’s hands are rummaging through his coat pockets to no avail. All fabric and stitches, empty-handed and barren. He looks up at Daehyun, with eyes semi-wide from panic.
“Ah,” he breathes. And he’s still going through his pockets like the thing he’s looking for will appear. Somehow, magically.
“I think I left my key card in the bedroom. You brought yours, right?”

내 리뷰 My review: The School Nurse Files 보건교사 안은영
This is the weirdest Korean drama I have ever seen in my whole life. I had no clue what was happening in episode one and two, I am being so honest here I didn't even understand many parts but from episode three things get understandable and make more sense.  An Eun Young is a new nurse teacher at school. She has a special ability to see jelly-like monsters that are made from the residue of human desire and she can also eliminate these jellies. Hong In Pyo is a Chinese language teacher at the same school. He has a special energy. In order to protect the students, An Eun Young and Hong In Pyo work together to eradicate these jellies. I love Mr. Mackenzie (Yoo Teo), he appears from episode three, from then things get very interesting. So the school was built on an ancient burial ground. There is a hole where the air flows. This place contains so many energies. The energies feed off children's laughter. As they are feeding on the energies, jelly-like monsters are created. The Grandfather who wanted to channel those energies anthe people were worried about Mr.Hong and safe happiness changing the world. Control the breathing hole and change the luck and you will have the power to rule the nation. That was the plan designed by Safe Happiness. To those who are strong, the place will appear normal. However, it draws in the who lack energy. That's why people keep jumping in The CGI team did a great job in VFX. The jelly monsters looked so real and also the special effects and other graphics are excellent. It is something to be praised cause it's really good. Coming to the writing, The drama is very trippy, it's as if someone wrote this drama doing acid. It's quirk and fun. also, the music is really good. Lesbians! Lesbians are everywhere! Episode 6 is bloody the best episode in this drama. Must watch! It opens up social issues and I love it. We see a lesbian couple and we see a lot more crazy things happening in the school. My favorite episode is three and six. Overall, The School nurse files is beautifully weird. It's very trippy and hard to understand, proceed with caution cause your in for some next level supreme existential crisis. I really loved, to

Working Overtime
Tumblr media
requested by @thecaffeinatedscribbles - thanks for requesting! a picture of your request will be at the bottom of the post!
Pairing: BTS x reader
Premise: A freak storm forces the biggest band on the planet to spend the evening seeking shelter at your small cafe. Of course, you can't complain about having to work overtime.
"...remain indoors for the rest of the evening....further notice....stay safe everyone!"
You can't help but groan, the sentiment clearly reciprocated by Benny, the cook at the small cafe you work at. The two of you came to work expecting to be kept inside for a while - just because a storm was brewing didn't mean you got a free day. Chances were that customers might decide that the best way to spend the hurricane-like day would be at their favorite restaurant.
Well, their favorite clearly isn't this one. The cafe is completely barren, leaving both you and Benny to lounge around. Just waiting for the storm to pass.
Benny dug up an ancient radio from the supply closet, and spent thirty minutes tuning it before finding a station. The two of you have taken up two stools at the front counter, head down on the table while the staticky radio picks up every other sentence. "Well Bill, it looks like...that's right, Sharon, I was thinking the same-"
You'll never get to find out just what it was that Sharon and Bill were thinking about, because suddenly the front door flies open, nearly tearing itself off its hinges.
Both you and Benny turn around in shock, nearly slipping off your chair as you get a look at whoever these strange newcomers are.
It takes a few moments before they all file in - there's seven of them - and slip their hoods back.
It takes another moment before they manage to get their hair out of their face enough to actually identify them.
"I'm so sorry about that," Kim Taehyung apologizes as he throws his body against the door so that it will close properly. "We just saw that you guys were open-"
"Nobody else is open on this entire block," Park Jimin finishes, currently struggling to brush his fingers through his hair like he usually does. It's a bit more difficult now that it's been through such a windy atmosphere.
You and Benny exchange a look, clearly at a loss for words at the strange development. Together, the two of you let out a wry laugh.
"What are you boys doing out right now?" Benny asks, rising from his seat and motioning for them to hang their coats on the coat rack.
Everyone immediately turns to look at Jungkook, who's cheeks turn a little red even as he laughs.
"Someone wanted to see how windy is was," Seokjin drawls, glaring daggers at the youngest member of the group.
"And you willingly agreed!" Jungkook defends, pulling a laugh from you.
Huh.
They're just like the other boys you've met.
Silly. Irrational. Blindingly beautiful.
"Could we get you anything to eat?" You ask, slipping into waitress mode. "It sounds like you might have to be here for a while," you tap the radio, scrunching up your nose as a bit of dust flies up.
The boys settle down in the middle of cafe, pulling a few tables together. You place some menus before them, marveling at how they seem to bicker like your family.
They place their orders - enough to feed a small army, which, you suppose they are. You head back into the kitchen, prepared to help Benny with the order. However, you're a little surprised to see Seokjin and Yoongi trailing you, with a nervous Jungkook behind them.
"Oh, did you want something else?" You ask, smiling brightly. The two oldest members of the group chew on their lips, sparing the maknae a glare.
"Actually," Yoongi begins, his cheeks reddening, "Is it alright if we help with the order?"
You blink, unsure of what to say. "...what?"
Jungkook jumps into the conversation like an excited puppy. "Well, it's just that it's going to be a lot of food and it's just the two of you..."
"We're bored." Seokjin injects, laughing to himself. "Let us help you?"
Shrugging and praying that your boss won't decide to fire you over it, you lead them back into the kitchen. Benny grins when he sees the four of you.
"Come to learn from the best?" He boasts, his round belly proof of his amazing cooking skills. "Grab an apron, wash your hands. Prepare to learn, boys."
You cackle as the three highly successful (and blindingly beautiful) idols follow Benny's instructions, chattering excitedly between each other.
It only takes a couple of minutes before the rest of the group appear at the doorway to the kitchen, watching on with curiosity.
"Care to join?" Benny invites. You stand off to the side watching with endless amusement.
Taehyung joins in with glee, while Namjoon, Hoseok, and Jimin hang back. They look to you hesitantly.
"Could we actually help you bring the dishes out?" Hoseok asks timidly.
You smile. This has got to be the best shift ever.
"Yeah, if you want to. Want to come watch the kitchen go up in flames with me?" Jimin bursts out into a fit of laughter, pointing at you with pride on his face. "Oh, she's funny!” He walks over to you, leaning against the counter.
Namjoon and Hoseok follow suit a moment later, giving you kind smiles as they take up the spot next to Jimin.
“We’re so happy you guys were open,” Hoseok comments, watching with a bit of apprehension as Jungkook tries to copy Benny’s movements. “I seriously thought we were going to die out there or something.”
“Agh you’re so dramatic hyung,” Jimin says, rolling his eyes. “But it is pretty bad out there. When do you think it’ll end?”
You shrug, stifling a laugh at Yoongi’s expression of long-suffering as he fields Taehyung’s questions.
“I’m not sure...probably not for another couple of hours, though. It’s going to be a mess trying to get home I bet.”
“Mmm.” Namjoon leans forward so he can see you properly. “Care to eat with us when the food’s done?”
Try as you might, you still end up blushing. “That’s alright, I don’t want to intrude on your meal-”
“I’m already making your food!” Jungkook shouts from where he stands watch before the oven. “Or...Jin is, I guess. But I’m making sure it doesn’t boil over!”
You give a shocked laugh, dropping your head in your hands. “I guess I will, then.”
Together, the four of you watching from the sidelines being to commentate every move that’s made within the kitchen.
“Oh, that was a bad move Yoongi,” Jimin chides.
“Shut up,” Yoongi responds, not even looking over.
Jin nearly drops a potato, earning quite the reaction from you. “Kim Seokjin, if you drop that potato so help me!”
Everyone in the room pauses for a moment, Jin looking over at you with wide eyes. A moment later, they all dissolve into a fit of laughter, Jin making a show of setting the potato down with car.
“Better?” He asks. You nod.
“Much better, thank you.”
In the matter of an hour, you’ve made yourself completely at home with these complete strangers. Benny begins making more food, getting overly-excited at having willing students. Time drags on, and eventually you all ditch the idea of eating out at the tables, opting to hop up on the bar and watch the chaos unfold.
“How long have you worked here?” Jungkook asks with a mouth full of food. He ditched the kitchen a few minutes prior, deciding that it would be better to eat than learn. Hoseok replaced his presence in the kitchen.
You blow on your soup before taking a bite. “Umm...a couple of years? It’s been a good college job, I think.”
They nod along, watching at Jin wanders over. He makes a show of looking exhausted, leaning up against the opposite counter. “Is the food good?”
“Delicious,” Namjoon says.
“What do you want to do when you make it out of here?” Jimin asks.
You frown, looking down at the counter. “I...I actually really love graphic design. I don’t know, I just think it’s the coolest thing ever. There’s so much that could be done with it, too.”
When you look back up again, you find Namjoon and Jimin locked in a silent conversation. A second later, they look back to you with smiles.
“What?”
Jimin shrugs. “Nothing. Graphic design is cool, don’t you think, hyung?”
Jin nods weakly, eyeing your soup. You take the hint, blowing on the spoonful you have. “Want to try it?”
He looks at you a little sheepishly. “Can I? Is that too weird?” You shrug your shoulders.
“It’s a weird day. Might as well go for it.”
That’s all the motivation he needs.
The storm doesn’t let up for a long while, but you’re kept busy with the boys. They all take turns in the kitchen except for Namjoon, who claims that he’d be more harm than help.
Together with Namjoon and Taehyung, you turn up the volume on the radio. The static makes it hard to understand, but you hear enough.
“subsided for now...remain cautious, but the worst is over.”
You let out a shout of excitement, pounding the table. Taehyung jumps a bit, laughing. “I think the storm is ending!”
Benny hardly hears you, but the boys do. They also shout with you, except for Namjoon who suddenly receives a phone call. He’s on the call for all of thirty seconds before it ends.
“Hey guys, that was Sejin...we need to head out.”
You frown, but try not to let it get to you. “Thanks for hanging out with Benny and I.”
The boys each take their leave, thanking you and Benny profusely. Jungkook hops on his feet as Benny fills a couple of takeout boxes for him. They quickly exchange numbers with the two of you, vowing to return soon.
“We’ll just put you in our group chat, alright?” Hoseok says, typing away at his phone.
“How much do we owe you?” Yoongi asks, grabbing his wallet from his back pocket. Both you and Benny immediately wave them off.
“Nothing,” Benny declares. “Thank you for keeping us company. That was enough.”
“Really, let us pay you-”
“You guys need to get going,” you interrupt, smiling at Yoongi. “Really, don’t worry about it.”
They leave, grumbling the entire way. Once the door has closed behind them, you and Benny exchange looks.
“That was...”
“Freaking awesome,” Benny finishes for you. You chuckle.
“Yeah, it was.” Sighing, you slip off of the bar. “I’ll put the chairs up and then come help you clean up.”
Benny waves you off. “I don’t have much to clean, Hobi did most of it.”
“Oh-ho, you even call him ‘Hobi’!” Heading into the dining area, you go toward the table that the boys were originally going to sit at. Something catches your eye before you can put the chairs up.
“Benny!” You shout, hands shaking a little as you grab the paper.
It’s a note, hastily written but legible.
Thank you for the meal and new friendship - please confirm the Venmo request we send to you. All the best: Bangtannies
Almost as though timed, both your and Benny’s phones chime. You gawk at the ridiculous amount of money, but you nearly burst into tears at the text message that follows it.
Bangtan: This is the number of the head of graphic design at Bighit. They’ll be in contact with you within the next couple of days - keep a lookout for it!

Cravings ~ JJK [Request]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WORD COUNT: 1.7K
GENRE: established relationship, pregnancy au, fluffy with some angst
PAIRING: Jeon Jungkook x fem!reader
A/N: I hope this is okay for you, I didn't want to go too dramatic with it as it involved pregnancy so I did this!
Tumblr media
Throughout the whole of your pregnancy, you had been scared to do pretty much about anything on your own. Going out into the streets like you used to was hard since everyone knew who you were or rather who you were dating since Jungkook and your relationship had been admitted to everyone about 6 months ago. The only reason it was even outed was that you'd fallen pregnant and Jungkook no longer wanted to hide the fact that he was in a loving and committed relationship with someone.
"Baby please," You begged down the phone with Jungkook as you laid on the sofa in your house, legs hanging over the arm of the sofa as you rocked them back and forth.
"I'm busy babe I promise I'll stop by the store on my way home..." You rolled your eyes at Jungkook and looked at the time,
"That's not for another seven hours." You grumbled, you were craving the ben and jerry's birthday cake ice cream terribly and it was starting to bug you. All night long you'd had a craving for it but you'd run out last week and Jungkook kept forgetting to pick it up for you.
"Send one of the boys if you're busy, I need it. The baby and I need it," You whined as you tried to convince him but it wasn't going to work. Jungkook and the boys were already in enough trouble with always leaving work to go and get you everything you were craving. Jungkook had been in trouble with their manager that week for leaving the house at 4 am to go and get you McDonald's hashbrowns...Worth it though since you'd been craving them at all hours of the morning.
"Baby I can't, we're already in enough trouble." You sighed at him as you thought back on the manager yelling at him before.
"Fine. I-I'll go by myself," You slowly got up off the sofa, moving around when you were almost nine months pregnant wasn't the easiest of things to do. You pulled back the curtains on your window to see that the garden was empty of people, BigHit has issued a statement claiming that if anyone was caught on the private property they would be sued.
"Baby no. Stay at home. I'll bring some when I come home," You rolled your eyes at him,
"Fine. I'll stay at home." You lied as you waited for him to go back to work so you could go and get ready to go out. It was no big deal. You could stay hidden under a hoodie and sunglasses, it wasn't like you were the famous one in the relationship.
"Stay at home my ass," You mumbled as you began waddling up the staircase towards your bedroom, finding out some maternity leggings and a giant oversized hoodie that would at least make the bump look a little bit smaller than it was.
Tumblr media
It wasn't so bad so far, the streets were empty and you'd driven yourself into town and parked far enough away from the store you actually wanted so no one would know you were inside. No one seemed to have noticed that it was you walking towards the store which was great. Maybe the fact that Bighit had threatened to file lawsuits was getting to them and they were going to finally leave you alone.
"Thank you, dear," An elderly woman said as you held open the door to the freezer store for her, you smiled softly before grabbing a basket and making your way straight to the dessert section of the store. The only thing you wanted to do was get the ice cream and head straight home, curl up on the sofa with a movie and just eat all you could before Jungkook got home and told you off for leaving the house without him.
Looking through the glass doors to see if you could spot your favourite flavour but it seemed as though they were out of stock, nothing but an empty section when the flavour should have been sitting.
"Excuse me?" You asked as a worker walked behind you carrying a clipboard, she turned to look at you with a smile and you smiled back at her.
"Could you tell me if you have any of the birthday cake ice creams in the back?" The worker - Jennie - began to look through the sheets on her clipboard trying to see if they'd had a delivery of it yet but it didn't seem as though there was anything inside. She started shaking her head putting the clipboard against her chest,
"Unfortunately we don't seem to have it but-" She reached into the fridge and pulled out a different tub.
"Their strawberry swirled one is even better, I craved this whenever I was pregnant." She laughed softly as she showed you the front of the tub, reading through what was inside you smiled brightly.
"I'll get this one," Your mouth watering at the thought of getting to have some kind of ice cream at all, the baby kicking as well.
"Someone else likes it too," You laughed as you placed four tubs into the basket and then grabbed two of Jungkook's favourites while you were at it.
"That will be-" Jenni who was standing at the counter stopped speaking when she looked up behind you, you glanced over your shoulder to see what she was so shocked by to see about one-hundred people all gathered outside of the store. Staring inside as they looked for you she looked back at you with wide eyes.
"Oh fuck." You bit down on your lip looking back down at the counter as you tried to keep yourself hidden,
"We don't even have this many people on sale day-"
"Sorry...I shouldn't have come out." You bit down on your lip again as you watched the manager lock the doors so that none of them could get inside. Jennie smiled sadly at you, she'd known who you were from the moment you were looking for ice cream but she'd done everything she could to make it seem as though she didn't.
"What's going on?" Her boss questioned as she walked in the direction of the till, looking at you as you began to rub the baby bump nervously.
"Sasaengs..." You mumbled slowly as you watched a bunch of them all take out their phones and begin to record everything that they could see. Jungkook and you had had to deal with them from the beginning of your relationship coming out, they seemed to appear anywhere and everywhere you went so you should have expected this really.
"Come and sit down." The elderly lady you'd held the door open for said as she pulled out one of the worker stools in an aisle, you waddled over and sat down beside her trying to calm down your breathing. There was nobody in the store except for you, the elderly lady and four other workers with their boss who was now staring down at you as she wondered how to go about this.
"Is there a back exit I can get out of? I don't really want to sit and face all of them." Thoughts of walking out of the front door began to cloud your mind and you whimpered feeling the baby kicking harder against your bladder.
"No, we only use the front door to get in and out..." The boss looked over at the door to see that the group of people only seemed to be growing larger inside as the minutes when by.
"I'll have to call my...My boyfriend," You whispered shyly as you took out your phone to call Jungkook to already see seventeen missed calls from him and a bunch of texts about how he told you to stay instead.
"Kookie?" You asked down the phone as it started to ring again, Jungkook was panting down the other side of the line as he rushed towards the store he knew you were at. The location had been tweeted out on twitter and shared by a bunch of people which meant BigHit saw it almost instantly.
"I'm coming now. I told you not to leave the house baby," He didn't seem angry with you but more disappointed than anything which made you feel bad for doing something you know you shouldn't have been doing.
"I really wanted the ice cream," You pouted as you let out a whine, looking over at the door to see that people were starting to move away from it and two large men stood by the door.
"I take it those are with you?" You giggled as you heard Jungkook making his way through the crowd of people, people screaming to him as he just tried to get to the door.
"They are." You looked at him at the door and the manager walked over to them, unlocking them to allow him inside and you smiled weakly hanging up the phone.
"I got your favourite if it makes you feel better." You held up the bag of ice cream and he sighed at you, shaking his head as he held out his hand for you to take.
"Come on, I have the car waiting outside and manager Sejin is taking your car." He told you as he reached into your jacket pocket to take out the keys and smile at you.
"You're not going to let me go out alone are you-"
"Baby, you're not even going to be at home alone, I've made sure to arrange your own personal guard to be with you at all times. You can make him get your ice cream," He chuckled as you both began to leave the store, ignoring the constant screams of questions and asking for photos as you made your way to the waiting black Range rover at the side of the road.
Bighit released a second statement about if anyone was caught following or harassing you that they would be sued as well. Jungkook didn't want to risk anything happening to you or your child for as long as he could help it. He was going to protect you until his last dying breath.

Through everything pt.2
A/N: Here’s the part 2 of my Nmajoon x male Reader story! I hope you will enjoy it! Shoutout to @ben-c0c who beta read this part and corrected all my shit  (*¯ ³¯*)♡
Words: 2.5k
CW // Talk about stalks and sasaengs
Part 1
Tumblr media
Namjoon held your hand during the whole escalator trip and you tried to calm yourself down by singing some random song’s lyrics or trying to concentrate on the warm feeling of Namjoon’s hand holding yours but nothing seemed to do it and before you knew it you were at the desired floor.
As the doors opened you saw a muscular man was waiting for the doors to open, he was looking at his phone and looked up as the doors opened. Namjoon took the first step, still holding your hand and you had no choice but follow him.
“Manager-nim! Hello! Sejin meet (Y/N), (Y/N) this is Sejin our manager!”
You smiled at him, bowing a little bit.
“Nice to finally meet you! Namjoon talks quite often about you!”
“I can’t say the same but nice to meet you anyway!”, he put on a friendly smile, even though you could feel that he was tense and you could easily understand why. If you were going to proceed announcing your relationship the company could be in very deep shit. You pushed those thoughts away, concentrating on your boyfriend and his manager discussing.
“You’re going to meet the members and then we’ll go see the CEO and the PR so we can discuss this!”
“Fine by me! Even though I don’t have much choice.”
He laughed gently and you followed Namjoon and Sejin to where the other members were in a big room, discussing about anything and everything. You were quite intimidated when they all looked at you as you walked in the room. You flushed and put your head down, looking at your feet. You heard Sejin talking to the members, quickly explaining the situation to them and what was about to happen. The members stood up and came toward you, smiling warmly and you were standing there awkwardly.
“H-Hello… It’s nice to finally meet you”, you waved at them, trying not to avert your eyes from them.
“Hi! Nice to meet you! Namjoon talked so much about you!”, it was Jimin who talked first as he extended his hand towards you. You took it and smiled at him, you were happy they seemed to like you too. You were scared that they wouldn’t like you because you could cause the downfall” of their group, but they seemed genuinely happy to meet you.
Each of the members went to shake your hands, as you grinned, feeling more at ease with each minute passing. All of you then moved, discussing with them stories about Namjoon or learning about each of your lives (both yours and the members’). You kept discussing until Sejin told you it was time for the meeting with the CEO and PR representatives.
You let out a shaky breath, trying to appear not too worried but Yoongi seemed to notice it and he came to give you a hug, surprising you.
“It’s going to be okay! I’m sure everything will go alright!”, he grinned at you, doing thumbs up too, making you laugh gently.
The other boy wished you good luck and tried to reassure you gently. Namjoon took your hand in his, smiling gently at you, tugging you to follow Sejin to the office where all the important representatives were waiting for you. After what seemed a walk through an endless corridor, Sejin knocked at a door and entered first then let both of you in.
Before stepping in, Namjoon kissed your cheeks, whispering a “love you” before entering the room. It was plain grey, with big cabinets filled with paper works, probably all the cases they had to “resolve” or hide from the public. In the middle of this oppressing place was a big desk where Lenzo Yoon sat, the CEO for business; you supposed that your relationship was business considering he was the one meeting both of you. Next to him 3 people were present, two women and a man who looked at you as you walked in.
You repressed a shudder, the atmosphere in this office was really negative and if it wasn’t for Namjoon, you would have run away. Lenzo greeted you in a professional manner and you did the same, smiling a bit. All the PR representatives presented themselves and you took a seat in front of them. The woman at his right was Kwak Joo-Ho, the man at her right was Park Yong-Nam and the other woman at the left of the CEO was Sohn Eunseo.
You were very antsy and probably appeared as a nervous wreck despite trying not to appear this way. You were sweating profusely, your shirt was sticking to your back and your hands were shaking, but you kept trying to calm yourself, thinking about good thoughts and fluffy memories with Namjoon.
“So, I’ve been made aware of why Namjoon had requested a meeting with me and the PR team. I guess you’re his boyfriend right?”, Lenzo Yoon spoke first, a serious look on his face.
“Y-Yes it’s me.” You croaked, your throat dry because of the stress.
“From what he told us, you’ve been dating for a good while, 7 years if I’m correct and that he wanted to announce your relationship to everyone and that you were absolutely sure about that.”
“That’s right sir.”, it was Namjoon’s turn to respond affirmatively.
“Alright. I’ll let Ms.Kwak Ho-Joo talk to you about our thoughts on it and how we could do that announcement.”, he moved his hand towards a woman with her hair put in a bun. She nodded and looked at you, opening a file.
“So, I’m sure Namjoon had talked to you about it already but the medias are going to want to know everything about you, they’ll search any kind of social medias where you are, know that sasaengs will look for you too, they’re going to invade your private space and probably follow you and try to get all of your personal info, like phone number, private email, workplace etc. We’re going to need you to not do any public declarations that could be detrimental to the group like their private information, so you’re going to have to sign a non-disclosing agreement to ensure that.”, she slid a paper across the table to you.
Truth to be told you were a bit hurt that they thought you would publicly release their info but you understood why they did that, after all they were often chased by sasaengs and some of them even already had their private information. You read the contract carefully, not wanting to miss any info and you took the pen that was slided to you and signed at the bottom of each page before giving everything back to Ho-Joo. She put the contract back inside the file and continued.
“About the press and the sasaengs, you might want to put your online account such as twitter and Instagram in private to avoid any hate comments that could arrive to you, and to stop them from maybe digging up some things that you aren’t comfortable with sharing publicly.” You nodded at that, it only made sense, after all you didn’t want to get a flood of hate, same for your friends and family.
“Also, to announce your relationship it won’t be a press conference but we’re going to do a lengthy post about your relationship and post it on all of the company’s social media. We’re going to have to redact it with both of you, even though we already have an idea of what to write we will need your approval for some things.”
You nodded as she explained that. You got a lot of information at once  but it was only fair, considering what could happen in the minutes or hours following the statement, you also didn’t want to reveal more than necessary about you. You were realistic, surely you would get a ton of hate, after all BTS was one of the biggest bands of its time so it was only obvious you’d get hated on, but you knew that some people would support you too and be understanding.
Park Young-Nam pulled out a computer, you guessed it was to redact the statement. You felt Namjoon’s hand on your thigh and you looked at him, a bit surprised, he smiled at you and you felt a boost of serotonin as you looked at his dimpled smile. He never stopped to make you feel at ease even in a nervous-wrecking situation as this one and you took his hand in yours and tangled your fingers together.
You stayed around an hour in the office, writing the lengthy statement about your relationship, then they recommended you not to leave the building already, not that you were planning to, considering the bomb you would have just dropped for the whole world to see, and other recommendations about how to act and react to hate.
After everything was said, they told you that they would publish the statement in roughly ten minutes and that both of you could go back with the other members. You bid them goodbye and Sejin accompanied you back to the apartment where the other members still were. You quickly went on your phone, being careful of privating all of your accounts just like they told you, you almost forgot about it but luckily you did it before it was too late.
You sat on the couch with a sigh, and so did Namjoon. Taehyung was looking at you a bit worried, your hands were visibly shaking and it didn’t seem to want to stop anytime soon. He went and brought you a glass of water, which you accepted and drank in one go.
“Do you feel a bit better?”
“Yes, t-thanks a lot.”
“It’s okay. Do you want to play to keep your mind off it?”
“Yes that would be awesome, please.”, he grinned at you and turned on the Xbox and gave you a controller.
“Do you like Overwatch?”
“I don’t play it as much as before but yes I really like it.”
“Great! Let’s play it then, does that work for you?”
“Absolutely! Though I’m not very good anymore.”, both of you chuckled and kept discussing about the game as he turned it on. Soon you were joined by Jin and Jungkook who discussed with you about the game and did a pretty good job at keeping your mind out of the current mess on social media.
Meanwhile RM observed the four of you and he felt his heart singing at the sight of you being in great terms with the other members, but he couldn’t help but be worried about all the mess the announcement was going to create, you weren’t used to all the attention, well a little bit considering your job as a tattoo artist you had to have a public social media, but not of this magnitude.
Yoongi shook him out of his thoughts, putting his hands on his shoulder.
“You okay Nam?”, he looked pretty worried about him, honestly he could understand.
“I don’t know. I guess I’m really scared for him. And for us too obviously.”
“You know, both of you overcame a lot of things. Not everyone could date an idol for so long even if he was one, you’re also still together even with the distance and the time zones. I wouldn’t worry much, as long as you communicate, nothing wrong should happen. And don’t worry about us either, we’re big boys. If they can’t accept you being happily in love well they don’t deserve you.”, Yoongi smiled at him, trying to cheer him up. Namjoon’s lips rose a bit as he nodded.
“You’re right. But I really can’t help it, some people are wild, I’m scared they find his address and go and harass him in his own country too.”, he sighed in frustration. He hated knowing that some people weren’t able to respect the boundaries of public figures, even his parents weren’t sometimes immune to being followed by horrible people who wanted dirt on him or them.
“I understand but honestly, I’m not worried. You’ll get your happy ending with him, I’m sure about it. Come on let’s try to keep our minds off that. You should be happy it’s a respectable fine man you got there”
“You’re acting like an old man Yoongi, I didn’t know you were 50 years old.”, Namjoon chuckled, gently hitting his bandmate’s shoulder.
Yoongi chuckled too and they both stayed here looking at the other members and (Y/N) bantering about which character was the best in Overwatch. He observed your face, as cliché as it was, you were laughing at something Jin had said and Namjoon could swore you were lighting up the whole room with that blinding smile.
At the same moment a mess was created on Twitter and on every other social media where BigHit had published the announcement of the relationship. Namjoon’s phone didn’t stop vibrating and so did the other member’s (they were all logged on the BTS’ official accounts so obviously people were trying to get answers here too) but they all ignored it, in favour of turning it silent.
Obviously their next promotions weren’t going to be quiet so they would like to enjoy some calm. You all had fun for a good while until it was noon. You decided to order food and Namjoon used this time to call his parents, telling them both of you would sleep in the dorm that night (probably for the better at the moment).
The eight of you ate the food, discussing, and you were engrossed in a conversation with Jungkook and Jimin about tattoos. You showed them the big ass tattoos you had on your legs and talked about the others you had on your torso and they showed theirs too.
All in all, you were having a pretty good time with the members, until the inevitable moment where everyone didn’t really know what to say anymore and were just chilling. You were used to checking your phone and you shakily reached for it, looking at all the notifications you got. It seemed that some people found your personal Instagram account really quick and you already had a ton of notifications by people requesting to follow you. You were even @/ by some of them in their publications, some hateful, some pretty wholesome.
Same went for your tattoo shop account, you got a lot of followers and an alarmingly quickly growing number of comments under your last tattoo picture. You sighed tiredly and decided not to deal with it right now and closed the application in favour of playing a game. Namjoon looked at you and put his arm around you and kissed your cheek a few times earning a “Ewww” from Yoongi, whose eyes were shining with mirth as he did that.
You stuck your tongue out to him and went back to cuddle into Namjoon’s side, trying to ignore the growing number of comments and requests. You could feel your anxiety growing and just like earlier, your back was sticking to your shirt and you wished the situation wouldn’t be as scary as it actually was.

[ Her Boys ]
  ↳ January 2015
↳ Yeosu is being kicked out of the company.  She has resigned to her fate.  Her boys come to the rescue.

Tumblr media
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
The door to conference room C opens.  It's a smaller room and holds none of the sentimental value that conference room A has of Yeosu meeting the boys for the first time.  It's unfamiliar. Uncharted territory.
Sejin steps out into the hall and shuts the door behind him.  Yeosu is right there, looking at him expectantly.  As he looks at her apologetically, the hope that was burning weakly in her eyes is snuffed out.  Her expression falls.
“Yeosu, I'm so sorry but... they've made a decision.  It's a majority and I don't have enough power to-"
"No, I know.  I don't blame you.  I know it's not your fault.  I just, um..."
Yeosu is barely holding back tears, looking around the hallway hopelessly.
Sejin's heart breaks a little more at the sight of her losing her composure, "They agreed to give you as much time as you need to collect your thoughts."
Yeosu nods, chin quivering.  She turns and walks down the hall, hands tight in fists at her side.  She walks stiffly until she reaches the bathroom.  She quickly checks and is glad to find she's alone.  She locks the door behind her and walks inside.  And she sobs.
She steadies herself on the wall as sobs rack her body.  She covers her mouth and sinks to the floor, hugging herself and crying.  She can't believe this is actually happening.  She's worked so hard; how can they just take that all away?
It takes several minutes for Yeosu to collect herself.  She stands on shaky legs and walks over to one of the sinks, bracing herself on it and letting her remaining sobs fall from her mouth.  She takes a deep breath and looks at herself in the mirror.  She hardens her expression and turns the faucet on.
She splashes her face with cold water from one of the sinks.   She dries her face and reapplies mascara and lip gloss.  She fixes her hair then gives herself a final once over.  If this is how she goes out, she's at least going to look hot doing it.
With a nod at herself, she exits the restroom.  She rounds the corner and finds Sejin still waiting outside conference room C for her.  She stops in front of him.
"Thank you," she says.  "For everything you've done for me.  For fighting for me during this mess.  You'll take care of my boys, right?"
Sejin swallows and can only nod, struggling to keep his own emotions in check. Yeosu smiles at him then steps around him to enter the conference room.  Inside, Bang PD, two members of BigHit's legal team, and a lawyer sit waiting for her.  There had been a quiet conversation between Bang PD and a member of the legal team but they fall silent as Yeosu enters.
She bows to them all and greets them politely.  Bang PD greets her from his seat but the three other men stand and return her bow.  Sejin walks into the room behind her and pulls out two chairs, one for himself and one for Yeosu.  She sits beside him calmly.
"We know this must be difficult for you to understand-"
"I don't need it sugarcoated," Yeosu interrupts the man from legal who speaks, the usual politeness in her voice gone and replaced by an upfront, business-like coldness.  "Just tell me what I'm signing."
"Alright, um, Mister Cha."
The man addressed, the lawyer, begins to read of a piece of paper, "Due to a scandal that ruined the career of BigHit Entertainment's first and only girl group GLAM, BigHit has since decided to terminate all contracts of existing female performing artists and transfer all current female trainees to Source Music, if they will not be returning to their homes or auditioning and transferring to another company.  The former category includes the current members of GLAM- Park Jiyeon, Kim Jinhee also known as Zinni, Kim Dahee, and Kim Miso-, solo artist Lim Jeong-hee, and Bangtan Sonyeondan member Bae Yeosu, also known as YB.  BigHit Entertainment feels this is the best course of action to avoid any future scandals."
Less officially, it's explained to Yeosu that now would also be a good time to terminate her contract as the company is planning to take BTS on a new path musically and begin "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life" series.
Yeosu wants to argue.  She wants to plead her case.  All of this getting rid of current and possible female artists stuff was decided without consulting the debuted female artists and female trainees. None of the boys of BTS were consulted either and they probably won't know until it's done that the termination of the GLAM members' contracts also means the trmination of Yeosu's.  But Yeosu knows from what Sejin's told her that the ball is rolling much to fast at this point to stop it with just one or two people.
"We'll start with you signing here, Miss Bae."
A folder is slid past Sejin to her, open to the first page with a pen set on top.  Yeosu wants to beg them to reconsider but she knows it will do no good.  She refuses to let her last moments as a BigHit artist be pitiful.  She picks up the pen and clicks it, moving to sign along the line on the bottom of the page.
"Wait!"
The door to the conference room suddenly flies open and Jungkook stands in the doorway, panting.  His eyes dart around the room until he finds Yeosu.
"Noona, don't sign anything!"
Yeosu stands and starts to walk over to him, "Jungkook, I know it's hard but-"
"You were just going to leave without saying goodbye?" Taehyung asks, coming to a stop behind Jungkook.
Jungkook, being the fastest runner, had made it to the conference room first.  Taehyung followed second, then the other five boys arrive together and pile into the room.  They all start talking at once, relaying the same argument seven different ways: they want Yeosu to stay.  As much as it warms her heart, it breaks it at the same time.
Yeosu approaches them, "Boys... boys, please."
She doesn't raise her voice but the seven boys all stop speaking.
"I don't want to do this, but there's nothing I can do."
"Noona, you can't leave," Jimin says in a small voice, his hand finding hers.
"I don't want to, Minnie, but-," she swallows hard, "It's out of my hands."
"Has she signed anything, yet?" Namjoon asks.
"No," Sejin responds.
"Then I'd like to propose an argument."
"Namjoon-"
Namjoon turns to Yeosu and says quietly, "Don't give up yet.  Please?"
Yeosu knows she has.  She gave up when Sejin came out of the conference room twenty minutes prior.  But Namjoon still holds out hope and he's one of the smartest people she knows.  So even if she's given in, she nods and lets Namjoon make a case.
"I understand that what happened with the blackmail scandal can be very damaging to a person's career as well as who they're affiliated with," Namjoon starts, "But being a woman doesn't affiliate Yeosu with Dahee.  I can understand disbanding GLAM and I know that Lim Jeong-hee has already agreed to sign with another company, but please don't terminate Yeosu's contract just because she's a woman."
"She's done nothing wrong and kicking a member of a completely different group out of the company won't send a good message to our female fans," Jimin speaks up.
"Feminism and sexism is a touchy subject in Korea, but if we ever want to do well internationally, this is not the way to go about it," Yoongi says.
"She's also an amazing performer," Hoseok adds.  "She can sing amazingly and she can dance better than anyone I know.  She helps choreograph our dances and has unrivaled stage presence.  It would be a blow to the company to get rid of such an outstanding performer.  You'll regret it when she finds fame elsewhere."
"She's also an integral part of the group in terms of our relationships with one another," Taehyung says.  "She is sort of like a mom, but that's something we need.  She helps to resolve conflict among the members and is patient with us.  She keeps us in line and keeps morale up."
"She takes care of us," Jungkook says, speaking shyly at first but gaining confidence.  "She makes sure we're emotionally taken care of.  She's our sister."
"We'd fall apart without her," Seokjin continues, "You can't get rid of her just because of another woman's mistake."
"We weren't spoken to about any of this and we feel it is unfair to remove a person from a group without speaking to any of the members, even the one who's contract is at stake," Namjoon says.
He pauses briefly.
"We, the seven male members of BTS, have come to the decision that if you terminate Yeosu's contract, we'll leave the company with her."
Yeosu whips her head to look at Namjoon but he's looking straight ahead at Bang PD.  She tries to communicate with him telepathically, asking him if he's insane.  They all can't throw away their careers for her, she won't allow it.
Bang PD holds Namjoon gaze for a few moments then leans over to one of the men from legal, "Can they do that?"
"They'd have to sue for mistreatment and win the case in court," the man tells him.  "So, technically, yes."
"I've done my research," Namjoon tells him.  "Even if we don't win our cases, it would be another scandal that you wouldn't want to deal with.  We're not asking for you to alter anything you're doing that doesn't involve BTS.  Disband GLAM, end Jeong-hee's contract, transfer the trainees, that's all fine.  We just ask that you don't kick Yeosu out.  We're her boys.  And we need her."
The silence that follows is deafening.  Yeosu is sure everyone in the room can hear her heart beating in her chest.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Yeosu leaves the room first, keeping her back to the boys as they file out after her.  They're all silent.
"Soo-"
Yeosu spins around and jabs a finger into Namjoon's chest, "You absolute idiot!  Why would you do that?"
Namjoon stands with his mouth open in surprise, unable to find the words to respond to her angry outburst.
“You can’t just risk your whole career for me! This group is more than just me and the idea that you all would just give it up is just- just so-... what were you thinking?!”
Namjoon opens and closes his mouth, trying to find a response but being unable to. The boys are all surprised by her reaction. They’ve never seen her mad like this before.
A second later, Yeosu wraps her arms around Namjoon, hugging him tightly.
"You're so stupid," she says into his shoulder.
Namjoon laughs confusedly and returns her hug, "We're your boys, we couldn't just let you go."
"How did you even know about any of this?"
"Sejin had been keeping us up to date on everything once he figured out you weren’t telling us anything," Seokjin explains.
“Thanks for that, by the way,” Yoongi says.
Yeosu sends him a glare with no ferocity behind it as she and Namjoon separate.
"Sejin texted us earlier after they'd come to a consensus.  Told us to hurry up and get here," Hoseok says. "We'd been planning out what to say when it came down to it for a few weeks now.”
"I love all of you,” Yeosu says, “But next time, don't plan my rescue without my knowledge, please."
The boys all laugh.
Yeosu sighs then opens her arms, “Come here.”
Jimin is the first to run into Yeosu’s embrace but the others aren’t far behind to join in their hug.
Just minutes ago, Bang PD was convinced by the seven boys' loyalty to Yeosu and allowed her to stay.  Their willingness to give up everything proved their need for her to remain in the group.  The legal team members and the lawyer are still in the conference room with Bang PD and Sejin, cleaning up the mess they'd almost made by getting rid of Yeosu.
It's there, in the middle of a hallway in the BigHit building, surrounded by all seven of her boys as they hug one another for a long while, that she realizes just how much she means to these boys.  They were going to give up everything they'd accomplished up until now simply because she'd no longer be with them on their journey.  She realizes how much these seven boys mean to her.  With her father as her only family member she has a connection with, BTS have become her family.  They mean everything to her.  She can't believe she almost let them go.
As they break apart, badly attempt to hide tears, and start to head back home, Yeosu vows to herself that she'll never let them go again.

BTS Scenario: You wear a rock groups’ shirt to their concert and fans tease you
This was requested to my messages and the person wishes to remain anonymous so I don’t have a screen shot of the request ^^ But they wanted something where the reader gets tickets to a BTS concert last minute and doesn’t have time to change so they wear a rock group’s t-shirt to the concert and are teased by fans, but with a happy ending of course.
Tumblr media
It was a lazy day for you. Nothing was planned, and you were lounging around the house in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt from your favorite rock group. You were scrolling through social media, seeing BTS posting about how excited they were to perform tonight in your city. You wanted to go so badly but sadly tickets had sold out quicker than your internet could keep up with. You locked your phone and set it face down on the table, staring up at the ceiling and realizing within just a few short hours they would be performing in front of tens of thousands of army. You were wishing you could be one of them when a loud frantic knock rapped on your door. You got up and opened it, only to be dragged out of your home by your best friend.
“Y/n we gotta go now!”
“What? Why what are you talking about? Where are we going?”
“To see BTS!” You stop walking and freeze in your tracks, staring at your friend with a dumbfounded expression.
“I’m sorry what did you just say?”
“I got tickets last minute! So we’re going to see BTS now we only have a short about of time to get there, get parking and get checked in so let’s go!”
“At least let me put my shoes on first!” You run back inside and quickly lace up your shoes, not having any time to change out of what you were already wearing. You jump in the car and head over to the venue. The speed with which your friend gets you there is astounding.
You are standing in line waiting with the other army to get into the venue when you notice a group of girls staring at you. You make eye contact with one of them and don’t miss the sneer that forms on her face as she eyeballs you. You ignore her and go back to talking to your friend when suddenly you see her heading right for you. You roll your eyes already anticipating whatever she has to say isn’t going to be friendly if the looks she was giving you were any indication.
“Can I help you?” She stares at your shirt and you can already tell where this is going.
“Yeah. How about you name 5 BTS songs?”
“How about you mind your own business and I’ll mind mine.” You walk away from her and approach the security table to have your bag checked. One of the staff from the venue was watching this whole interaction. She saw the group of girls pointing and laughing at you, saying that you probably weren’t even a fan and just came to say you’ve been to a BTS concert and brag about it to others. You didn’t witness this part. But the staff that did were none too kind with the way they threw her bag on the table and sorted through every little thing she had, holding her up twice as long. You turned around and saw the frustrated look on her face, chuckling to yourself as you headed for your section.
Your friend turns to you and nudges your shoulder.
“Hey, don’t let them get to you okay? This is your day to be happy and celebrate.” You nod and smile, just feeling glad that you finally get to see your favorite group in person. You stand in line to wait for a bottle of water, and when you head to your section you feel your heart drop. She’s in front of you. Her whole friend group is. And when they see you coming the smirk on all their faces tells you they are going to make sure you don’t enjoy your night at all.
Tumblr media
“Ya! Are you serious? Someone actually said that to one of our army? The audacity! Our fans should treat each other with kindness how dare those mean girls do that? Makes me so mad. If I see that fan in the crowd today I’m gonna make sure they know how much they mean to us. Are you not allowed to listen to other peoples’ music just because you’re a fan of ours? And another thing-”
“Jin calm down we’re about to go on stage!” Namjoon scolds him, putting his leader voice on and Jin grumbles.
“I’m just saying. You can’t be mean to your fellow army like that. I won’t stand for it.”
“But you know we can’t show special attention to any fans, hyung.” Jungkook mentions.
“Rules be damned. When have I ever been one to listen to our managers? This is Jin Hit entertainment as far as I’m concerned.” Sejin clears his throat and glances at Jin from he corner of the room.
“I mean um..okay I better be quiet now.” Sejin lets out a chuckle and shakes his head, but there is a fondness to it that lets Jin know he’s not seriously upset with him.
“You guys are on in 5! Get ready to go!” Everything falls into a smooth rhythm after this. The VCR’s begin playing, they all stand in a huddle and get ready to do what they love most.
Tumblr media
The moment BTS comes out on stage you can’t see anything. Because that girl has decided that sitting on her friend’s shoulders to block your view was a mature thing to do. You are so fed up at this point that you don’t even bother to put up a fight. Your friend tries to maneuver you both in the crowd so you can get past them and see, but when you even get close you are shoved back. You sigh in frustration and in the brief moment you are looking at the stage you lock eyes with Jimin who notices the exasperated expression on your face. He shakes his finger at the girls and mouths “Don’t push!”. She doesn’t seem to care much as the only thing she is concerned with is the fact that Jimin noticed her. You roll your eyes and try to move away but are blocked again. Jimin walks up to one of the security guards who points at the girl and tells her to get down. This time she listens, although it just seems to make her even more mad at you and results in more pushing. It’s a concert. You understand that pushing is inevitable but this is just getting ridiculous at this point. It doesn’t sneak past Namjoon’s gaze and when he comes up to the mic after their ments he looks right at the girl in front of you and says
“And please. For your safety. Do not push each other. Be kind to your neighbor they are a part of this family too.” He says it with a finality that seems to finally get through to her thick skull because she stops pushing you after that. Although she does keep holding her phone up and army bomb up to partially block your view of the stage. At least you get to see the members now every once in a while.
The rest of the night passes by in a haze of happiness and joy. Part of you still can’t believe that you’re here tonight watching your favorite group perform. And before you know it the night is coming to a close and they’re on their last song. It’s during Jin’s ending speech that he finally decides he’s going to speak up.
“Everyone. Thank you so much for being here tonight! You know we love and adore our army so much but please remember to be kind to each other. Our fans are allowed to enjoy listening to other groups, if someone behind you is shorter than you, don’t purposefully try to block their view of the stage. And especially do not push each other. You could hurt someone.” You see her shoulders sag and you can’t help but finally feel a sense of victory over her. And with that the smile is plastered right back on Jin’s face as he goes into asking if everyone had a good time, and that he can’t wait to come back and see all the fans again.
You enjoy the last song to the fullest, having a blast and dancing and singing your heart out. After the concert is over you take your time before you begin to file out of the venue, wanting to relive all the memories again while you wait for the crowd to clear out. You are about to leave when you are suddenly stopped by a security guard.
“Excuse me.”
“Um.. yes?”
“Some of the staff asked me to give this to you.” You are handed an envelope and are about to open it when he stops you. “I was told to tell you don’t open it until you get back to your car.” You’re shocked at this, wondering what on earth it could be. You and your friend practically sprint back to the car. You throw the door open and nearly tear the letter in half trying to open it. When you see what’s inside you scream.
“What?! What is it y/n?”
“It’s tickets to their show tomorrow. Front row seats. Oh my god. What the hell?!”
“There’s a letter in there! Read it!” You unfold the note and see it was written by a staff member.
Hello! I hope this isn’t too weird but, I was standing in line at the security check in when I saw how those girls were treating you. I told the guys about it because I needed to vent and they were very upset by it. They also saw everything that happened during the concert and were sad thinking you might not have gotten the full concert experience so they asked me to give you these tickets to the show tomorrow. Jin was very insistent I must say.
So we hope to see you there!
You feel tears welling up in your eyes as you hand the letter to your friend to read.
“Oh my god! Y/n!”
“Today and tomorrow I have a feeling are going to be the best days of my life.”

The Eight, Chapter 7
Tumblr media
Seven Korean Warriors and their Queen.
Always together. Finding each other in every lifetime. Their souls destined for each other for eternity. Sometimes as friends. Sometimes as lovers. Sometimes as spouses. Always together. Until around two hundred years ago, when the Queen vanished. The Warriors: Poet, Misdirection, Ferocious, Watcher, Mischief, Adventure and Passion, continued to find each other, always accomplishing great things in their lives. In their current lives, they’ve found each other and created the biggest boy band in the world.  When their Queen is found, and The Eight souls are re-united, they have to figure out how to live, and love, together again.
Chapter 7
The Men all looked at Jungkook, who shook his head and shrugged his shoulders.
The man with glasses stood and spoke. Unable to understand him, The Muse didn’t look at him. Eyes on the floor, lost inside her own head. Trying to keep it together. Someone touched her arm, her head snapped up to see Namjoon.‪ “Manager Sejin thinks we should head back to the hotel. We have a lot of things to talk about.” She nodded and looked around at the men in the room, finally taking a moment to actually see her Warriors for the first time
She knew now that Namjoon was Poet, Yoongi was Ferocious, Taehyung was Adventure and Jungkook was Passion.
Looking at the rest, she found Hoseok, doing what he does best. She almost smiled as Watcher was living up to his name.
Jimin, Mischief, seemed to be doing his best not to look at her. And Jin, Misdirection, was trying to give her a wary, comforting smile. “Are you hungry?” He asked in a heavy accent. She almost smiled at that. “I have no idea”.
“Yah,” he said as he stood “Let’s get food and find out, you know?”
They all filed back out into the big practice space, a few people were still milling about.
They all grabbed their bags and headed for the door. Arms crossed over her chest protectively with her backpack in hand, she followed. Just as they were about to step into the parking lot, Hoseok stopped her. “No Shoes!” he said, pointing to her feet. She hadn’t even noticed she was barefoot.
At that, Jungkook jogged back over and, blushing profusely, and careful not to look at her, he picked her up. She yelped, “It’s ok! I can walk! I don’t mind!”. He simply shrugged and carried her to one of the matching black SUV’s that were waiting, setting her in the back seat gently. “Thank you” she murmured before he closed the door.
The ride to the hotel was mostly uneventful. She was in a car with Jungkook and Jimin, and they were both pretty quiet. Her mind was taken up with her feet. As she sat in the car, all she could think was that those are not her feet. Her feet are much bigger. Toes a little shorter, pudgier. These feet are not hers. She wiggled the toes. “Coincidence” she thought. “Those aren’t my feet”.
She looked up from her foot study when someone opened her door. Jungkook had come to carry her inside. Shaking her head, she insisted that she could walk. He merely shook his head back and said “No.” Scooping her up and heading inside.
He carried her through the lobby, the elevator and wouldn’t let her down until they were inside a suite. Still thinking about her feet, she excused herself to the bathroom with the intention of looking at herself in the mirror. Who was she? What were they seeing?
She shut the bathroom door and immediately felt the THWAP across her back. She gasped as her body jerked toward the counter. There was a knock at the door. She took a deep breath, willing the tears not to fall, and opened it. Namjoon, voice full of concern, said “Are you ok? We heard the whip again.” She took another deep breath and turned, pulling the back of the hoodie up to expose the angry red welt across her back. Touching it, soothing the pain, Namjoon asked “Why did he hit you this time?” She wasn’t sure. But the voice of Min-Ho sounded in her head, answering for her. “You shut the door all the way when you weren’t using the toilet. That is the only time you are permitted to close the door on your Warriors.” Annoyed, she said out loud “You are NOT fucking serious!”
Namjoon, head snapping up, dropped the hoodie, “What?”
“Sorry! Not you.” she answered. “Min-Ho. He said that I was whipped because I closed the door without having to use the...facilities. That I’m not allowed to close the door on my Warriors”.
Turning as she said that, she caught sight of the mirror. She saw Namjoon, and she saw some other woman. Maybe 20? 21 years old. Long hair, beautiful skin. Large blue eyes. Very pretty. “That is not me” was her only thought. She reached her hand up to touch the face, watching every move in the mirror.
“What are you thinking?” asked Namjoon, watching her watching herself.
“That isn’t me. She looks nothing like me.” she said.

Jungkook pressed another kiss to your lips, then another, and another; not wanting to leave your embrace to go and change. You smiled against his lips and despite every fiber in you telling you to pull him closer and not ever let him go, you gently pushed him away. “You need to get changed,” you laughed lightly as he frowned.
“Changed mind. Later, you are here. More important.” He murmured as he leaned forward to kiss you again, you placed your hand over his mouth.
“I don’t think Jimmy Fallon would like knowing you ditched his interview to make out in his backroom.” You asserted as you pulled your hand away from his mouth.
“The interview you interrupted, so I don’t think he’d mind that much” He rolled his eyes at you. Taking slight offence to that, you lightly smacked his shoulder. “Aye!” He shouted, pouting as he feigned pain.
“Go get changed,” it's your turn to roll your eyes at him. You watched as he scruched up his face in a deeper pout but when he realized it wasn’t going to help he sighed and started walking backwards towards the door, his eyes never leaving your’s.
“Be right back,” he said as he slipped through and out the hallway. You shook your head and chuckled. From the few moments you’ve had alone with him, there’s clearly one thing you can tell about him and that he’s a dork.
As you started to come down from the adrenaline high you were on, the shock of what had happened kicked in. You actually met your soulmate. You met Jungkook. You kissed Jungkook! Holy shit. . .You felt your knees grow weak and let yourself fall onto the couch that was in the small room. You interrupted an interview. One that was going to be on national television. Fuck. What was ARMY going to think of you . . .
You pull your phone from your pocket and open twitter and sure enough, despite the interview not being live, there was still ARMY in the audience and 9.99 times out of 10 they had twitter. When you opened the app, it wasn’t surprising to see JUNGKOOK SOULMATE trending once again. Should you click on it? They were awfully protective of their boys so you don’t know how they’d react to you. Especially being one of their soulmates.
Against your better judgement, you clicked on the tag and you could feel yourself tense up as the page loads. The first tweet you see has your heart melting. ‘IM AT JIMMY FALLON AND JUNGKOOK’S SOULMATE WAS HERE AND THEY MET AND HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT THAT WAS THE CUTEST FUCKING THING IM-’ You kept scrolling and surprisingly, all you see are a bunch of comments about how cute the moment was and how surprising it was.
You’re not sure how long you sat there, scrolling and reading the messages but soon enough the door opened and there’s Jungkook looking down at you. He’s dressed in normal clothes, his face is now free of any sort of makeup. His world famous bunny smile is exposed as he quickly shut the door and made his way to sit next to you. You lock your phone and put it away as he took your hands in his and laced your fingers together. You watched him as he just stared and played with your hands before looking back at you. Maybe it’s the soulmate thing but the love you see in his eyes instantly relaxes you. You’ve felt as if you’ve known him your whole life despite only being physically together for a few minutes.
“Hi,” your voice is barely a whisper as you feel yourself get lost in his eyes.
“Hi,” he responded. He leaned forward and placed a kiss on the tip of your nose and smiled. “Car outside, you ready?” You nodded and Jungkook stood up, pulling you up with him. “Let’s go!” he cheered as he pulled you along with him and down the long winding hallways. You definitely would’ve gotten lost if you were alone back here. When you come across an exit there’s a handful of people who you can only assume are some of the BigHit staff members. Oh shit, they probably aren’t that happy with you. But they don’t do anything as Jungkook tugged you along and into a car garage where a black SUV was waiting for the two of you.
He pulled open the backseat and gestured for you to get in first; so you do and Jungkook followed in after. The door slammed shut and the car started moving. The two of you sat in silence for a few minutes, still taking in what just happened.
“How much Korean do you know?” Jungkook asked, looking at you curiously. The language barrier was going to be a bit difficult to get around, you figured that soon as you started talking in Korean. While your Korean wasn’t that great, you knew the basics and hopefully that was a start.
“Basic stuff, not a lot,” you gave him a nervous chuckle, scared that it might cause any sort of problem. But he simply nodded in understanding, taking your hand in his and pressing a kiss to your knuckles.
“It’s okay, we’ll get through it.” With those words said, the car went back into silence as the driver took you to the hotel where you assumed they were all staying. Either you phased out during the drive or it was really short because next thing you know the car was pulling into the parking garage of a very luxurious looking building. Once the car has stopped, the two of you climbed out of the car and you’re being escorted to what you assume is the staff elevator.
You remained quiet as you heard some of the staff members follow you into the elevator and you barely catch some of what they are saying; something about contracts and the schedule. Jungkook dismissed them all, saying how all that should matter right now is the fact his soulmate is with him and that’s all that mattered at the current moment. All while he said that, he kept his eyes focused on you and you swear you could feel your face get hotter.
When the elevator stopped on a higher floor, slowly you all filed out and down the hallway. Jungkook however, once free of the confines of the tight space, grabbed your hand once again and bolted down the hallway. The two of you erupted into laughter as you heard the staff call out after you but it was no use as Jungkook was pretty fast. You have no idea how you’re able to keep up with him but soon as you could feel your lungs begin to burn, he stopped in front of what you assume to be his hotel room. While you lean against the wall, trying to catch your breath you see Jungkook fish for his room key.
Door to room open, the two of you quickly enter the room and you take in how surprisingly neat the room is. You slowly made your way over to the window and pulled back the curtain a little bit, taking in the New York City skyline. Keeping your eyes out on the horizon, you felt Jungkook snake his arms around your waist again and hold you close as he possibly can. Your hands meet his around you and you trace circles along his knuckles. The two of you don’t feel any need to speak, just simply enjoying each other's presence.
After several moments, Jungkook began to take steps backwards, pulling you along with him. “Legs tired,” he muttered in your ear as he sat down on the bed, pulling you on to his lap as well.
“Wouldn’t this hurt your legs more?” You laughed, trying to remove yourself from his lap to sit beside him on the bed, but his grip wouldn’t loosen.
“Worth it,” he muttered, hugging you tighter. You turned to face him and take in all the fine details of his face. Nothing, and you mean nothing, can compare to the beautiful face that is Jeon Jungkook’s. No amount of videos or high definition photos could have prepared you enough for this very moment. You placed your hand against his cheek, tracing your thumb along his cheekbones. He closed his eyes and leaned into your touch. Leaning forward, you pressed a kiss to his forehead, then another to his cheek, then his nose, then a quick one on his lips.
You felt him smile against your lips and before you could pull away, he pulled you down to lay on the bed completely, keeping his mouth on yours. The sudden movement however didn’t quite go as planned as you ended up bonking heads. You hissed in pain before rolling off of him, holding your forehead gently.
“Ah! You okay?” He asked, leaning over you and placing his hand over yours.
“I’m okay,” you assured him. “Might have a bump, but okay.”
“Ice? You need ice?” Before you could even respond, he stood up and made his way over to the bathroom, he disappeared for a moment before returning with a towel. You watch as he goes over to the mini fridge where he pulls out the ice bucket, already filled with ice. He probably got it last night you assumed and was saving it for something, probably not this though. Grabbing a handful of ice and wrapping it in the towel, he made his way back over to you on the bed, now sitting up at the foot of the bed. “Here.” He handed the improvised ice pack over to you and you nod in thanks, pressing it to where your head hurts.
“What about you? You got hit as well.” Not wanting him to end up with a bruise barely an hour into meeting him.
He waved you off. “Thick skull,” he chuckled, knocking his fist against his skull as if to demonstrate his head’s durability. He truly was a dork, you thought to yourself.
He opened his mouth to say something and you watched as Jungkook muttered a ‘be right back’ before jogging over to the door. He gave a quick look into the peephole before letting out a groan and opening it. You could barely hear him and who you assume is a manager at the door talking, you manage to catch the words ‘soulmate’, ‘contract’, and ‘press reveal’ so it doesn’t take much to figure out it’s about you. God it was a good idea at the moment, but maybe you should’ve waited until after the interview was done. Maybe then you wouldn’t be in such a mess.
You were pulled from your thoughts as you hear Jungkook return alongside another pair of footsteps, looking up you see the manager you recognize as Sejin. They’re talking quietly as they walked over to you. You give them both a small smile, pulling down the makeshift ice pack from your head.
“Hello Y/N,” Sejin started. “Now, I know that you didn’t mean to interrupt the interview and entire schedule but that’s past us now. Only thing now is the fact that you revealed yourself in front of the audience, composed mostly of fans. Word is already getting out so we just need you to fill out a couple contracts and non disclosure agreements. We just need your word that you’ll keep whatever is going on between the two of you to yourself and not sell information to the public. Also as Jungkook’s soulmate, you’re now also exposed to possibly safety concerns so this is also a contract that will place you under our protection. We’ve done this for all soulmates within BTS.” He explained everything as he handed the contract over to you to look over.
Sure to his word, everything he said was on the contracts handed to you. You look at Jungkook and he nodded to you, giving you the silent confirmation that nothing bad will happen. Since it was with all BTS soulmates, guessing how Jin has a soulmate and was kept safe and out of the public, you felt more comfortable.
You nodded to Sejin before standing up and walking over to the desk and starting signing. As you signed, you couldn’t help but wonder who else in BTS had found their soulmate? And what was their soulmate system like? Did they have tattoos? Hear each other's thoughts? Many different thoughts and questions rang through your head as you signed and initialed the paperwork. Once you finished, you handed the paperwork back to Sejin and he thanked you.
“Another thing, with the Jimmy Fallon interview, we have the option to deny it and have the audience members sign NDAs. Fallon has already agreed that if necessary he won’t have the footage released in the interview. However this one will be difficult as the story seems to have already leaked onto twitter and gossip sites have started reporting on this.” That option seemed the safest route, but then again there was already tweet and articles circling, they know what you look like. Would BigHit’s word be enough to hide you? “The other option is to confirm it, but with that comes your personal safety and privacy risks.”
While Sejin was talking, you tugged at a loose thread in your shirt, playing with it between your fingers as you thought through the options. Neither seemed ideal, you either have to lie to the world about who your soulmate is or risk everything for him. Both leave a weird sinking feeling in your gut.
Looking to Jungkook, he seemed to be deep in thought. You could read every thought on his face. He clearly deserved to have a sense of normalcy and privacy when it came to his soulmate, but he also loved ARMY and wanted to show you off and talk about you to them.
“Confirm it.” He said, “ARMY already knows.”
“Jungkook, are you sure?” Sejin questioned him while you looked at him, baffled he was considering the option. You’d learned pretty quickly that it’s very taboo that idols even talk about their soulmates, let alone reveal them to their fanbase. Especially with one as huge as the BTS ARMY. “What about the footage, do you want to release that as well?”
“Yes. ARMY knows and will have to respect them. Like they do with me.” He affirmed, standing firm in his words. Sejin nodded and gave a quick bow before excusing himself from the room. Leaving the two of you alone once again. “You okay?”
“I’m okay.” You smiled at him, you moved to lay down on the bed. You yawned a bit and shook your head, all the excitement plus the fact you woke up pretty early to get ready for Jimmy Fallon catching up to you pretty fast. “I’m tired.” You sighed as you maneuver yourself to rest your head on the very fluffy hotel pillows. You heard Jungkook chuckle at you as he walked over to you. You watched him through hooded eyes as he removed your shoes, hearing him mutter in Korean about getting the bed dirty. He then followed suit and laid down on the bed next to you.
Automatically, you slot yourself in his embrace keeping your face pressed against his chest. Jungkook wrapped his arms around your torso, you feel as if he’s trying to keep you closer even though you’re as close as you possibly can. You feel your eyes drifted close, feeling completely at peace.
“Jungkook,” you slurred. He hummed in response. “The other guys, have they met their soulmates?” You inquired as you sleepily trace circles into his chest.
“Jin-hyung met his a few years ago. Jimin-hyung and Tae-hyung are each other’s.” You feel the vibrations of his response against your cheek. “The rest are still looking.” It was your turn to hum. So Jungkook was now 4/7 members that have found their soulmate. It was a bit of a surprise to learn that Jimin and Taehyung were soulmates, but a lot of their fanbase had already called them soulmates so it was only a matter of if they publicly confirmed it or not.
Little by little, you nodded off as Jungkook hummed a song that sounded fairly familiar but you don’t seem to care at any sort of moment. Jungkook was here and he was all that mattered at this moment.
You’re woken up by the sound of a doorbell ringing profusely. You groaned at the interruption of sleep and felt Jungkook shift in the bed. “Nooo,” you made grabby hands for him as he trudged off to see who was at the door. Sitting up, you rubbed the sleep out of your eyes. You immediately realized the two of you must’ve slept for a few hours because it was now dark outside. You looked over to the clock on the bedside table and it’s about 8 pm. You sighed and flopped back on the pillows as you heard Jungkook talk to what seemed to be several voices, you think he’s trying to get them to leave but he obviously failed as the next thing you know there’s a bunch of new people in the room. More specifically, all of BTS are now in the hotel room.
“Hello!” Jimin jumped on the bed next to you, waving both hands. You must have a very startled look on your face as he’s laughing at you, his eyes disappearing behind his smile.
“Sorry, they want to. . .meet you.” Jungkook huffed as he walked back over to you. “Get off.” Jungkook shoved Jimin away from you, resuming the spot where he was previously.
Jin yelled in Korean not to be rude to his elders, but his raised voice had now fully woken you from your sleepy state of mind. “Oh! Sorry!” He apologized.
“It’s okay.” He gave you a small smile before sitting down on the other bed.
“Jungkookie, why is there a wet towel on the ground?” Namjoon raising a brow at the two of you.
Yoongi smirked at the two of you, he muttered something under his breath but you don’t catch it.
Taehyung however did catch it and laughed as he spoke, he’s speaking a bit too fast for you to catch but you do hear ‘sex’ and ‘horny’ and almost instantaneously you felt your face and tips of your ears burn.
“Get mind out of gutter!” Jungkook shouted, grabbing a pillow and throwing it at the two. Taehyung managed to duck away but Yoongi didn’t see it coming and was hit square in the face. The rest of the room burst into laughter, including you. Still embarrassed however, you move to hide your face into Jungkook’s shoulder.
“We bumped heads earlier. . .” You mumbled, trying to explain the towel situation.
“Bumped heads doing what?” Hoseok insinuated, clearly not moving on from the topic of sex. God, he really was one of the pervy ones.
You narrowed your eyes at him, now taking the second pillow behind you and throwing it at the dancer. He squealed and jumped before the pillow even had a chance to hit him. You all, including Hoseok, laughed at his reaction. You even catch him muttering how the two of you really are soulmates from how you both abuse them all.
The rest of the evening is spent with the 8 of you enjoying some room service (it was at this moment you remembered how rich they all were. While normally you aren’t ashamed of your financial status, you didn’t want Jungkook to think you only cared about him for his money. Which he immediately put to rest saying he had more money than he could ever need and was more than happy to dote on you when it’s needed), you asked them all the questions you’ve had as you learned since realizing your soulmate was Jungkook and they in turn asked you questions from the weird things Jungkook has said. Explaining the thought you had about shoving chicken nuggets up your boss’s ass was never something you thought you’d ever tell world famous sensations.
You even got to learn more about their Jin’s soulmate and their soulmate systems. Jin’s was the fact his hair color changed alongside his soulmate’s (who was a florist named Chun-hei), and was the reason why he dyed his hair on his own once with all those different colors.
Jimin and Taehyung both started seeing color once they saw each other, but as Jimin turned 20 before Taehyung, he only saw black and white for a few hours when he woke up but soon as he saw Taehyung the world was colored again. Jimin said he kept it to himself until Taehyung’s birthday a few months later, wanting to be absolutely sure.
Namjoon has a fairly common one being a date on his ribcage, displaying the exact time he will meet his soulmate. It’s not for another year and a half though, but you can tell he’s looking forward to it.
You also learn that Yoongi has heterochromia, so his right eye is his soulmate's eye color, which is hazel. He voiced that it’s a pain wearing a singular colored contact sometimes and how he sometimes does have to edit the selcas he posts to twitter and weverse.
Hoseok’s system is that in concept is similar to your’s and Jungkook’s but in reality is much different. He and his soulmate share pain so often when he dances he has to be very careful about how hard he pushes himself because he doesn’t want to end up hurting them as they do often work themselves to the point of exhaustion.
Once all your stories are told, Jungkook realized that it’s almost time for their Jimmy Fallon interview to be released. You glance at the clock and sure enough it was almost 11:35 pm. You watched as Taehyung grabbed the remote and flipped to the NBC channel just in time for Jimmy to start talking.
The eight of you get yourselves situated in the hotel room as the show started. You’re in between Jungkook’s legs, laying against his chest. Jimin and Tae are the same next to you. Jin and Namjoonare seated on two chairs they pulled up to sit next to the foot of the bed. Yoongi and Hoseok are both sitting at the foot of the other bed, waiting patiently.
The interview continued as normal at first, per everything you remember. It almost felt like the interview happened days ago, not a mere few hours. When Jimmy started asking about soulmates, you felt Jungkook’s grip on you tighten. This was it. The moment before it all seems to go down. When Namjoon was in the middle of speaking you felt the tension level rise up as the Jungkook on the screen yelled out “I’M HERE!” It was at that moment you really see all of their reactions to Jungkook’s blurt, they almost all seem to have their eyes bulged from their heads. Besides Namjoon and Taehyung, who’s jaws had literally dropped
The cameras quickly panned over to the audience as they looked around for who was the one that had him say that. You were more in the back so it wasn’t likely they caught you at all, and you were right, no singular shot of you, unlike a few other ARMYs who were screaming it was them. You weren’t that upset though, because the best part was about to come.
The silence that came over the audience as Jungkook squeezed his eyes shut came through and passed into the hotel room, despite you all knowing what happened next you all held your breath. Then the moment when you yelled came on (Jimin scolded Jungkook for having you yell out that he eats raw eggs which he assured you isn’t true), the camera whipped in your direction but they barely had any time to catch a shot of you as you were already running towards the stage.
The only good full shot they had of you was when you ran into Jungkook’s arms and he spun you around. It felt like a movie. You have the exact moment of meeting your soulmate on camera and watching it feels like an out of body experience almost. As you suspected, when you and Jungkook started crying and hugging the rest of the boys, including Jimmy, joined in. You were so wound up in that moment that you didn’t hear Jimmy say that they’ll be right back as the camera panned around the shot of all of BTS surrounding you and Jungkook in a hug.
“That felt intense,” you laughed a bit at how you slowly felt your body relaxing after the soulmate bit.
“Yeah, it’s crazy though. It’s very brave of you to let yourself be open with ARMY as well, thank you.” Namjoon said, looking over his shoulder to you. “Especially with how. . . well known they are amongst other internet groups.”
“Of course, I have no qualms with it at all. If you guys love ARMY, then I too have to love ARMY as well. They’re just as much a part of Jungkook as I am.” You gave a shy smile, Jungkook’s grip on you tightened a bit more and he kissed the side of your head, silently appreciating the comment you made.
The rest of the interview without Jungkook goes a bit smoothly, Namjoon explaining the situation as “The two of them are with management now” and ending it at that. Not talking any further about it, which you do appreciate from him keeping your privacy.
Pretty soon it was midnight and Taehyung said something about going back to his room to go on VLIVE. One by one the guys slowly leave Jungkook’s room to do their own thing, leaving the two of you alone once again.
“Soooo,” you started, drawing out the last syllable. “What happens now?” Were you to go to Korea with him now? Stay and have a long distance relationship?
“What do you want to happen?” Jungkook looked at you with a curious look in his eye. It’s your decision.
“I want. . .to be with you. . .” Your gut doing a bunch of twists and turns, the mere thought about moving to another country was terrifying. But now that you had Jungkook, you couldn’t just let him go.
“Then stay,” he grabbed your hand and lifted it to his lips, kissing your knuckles.
You stared into his dark brown eyes and all the anxieties you had: ARMY’s reaction, moving, the future, it all melts away. All you saw in his eyes was love and that’s all that you needed from him.

🌆 Nodus Tollens (Idol!Jin x YouTuber!reader)
Nodus Tollens Masterlist
Part 12
Plot: n. the realization that the plot of your life doesn’t make sense to you anymore—that although you thought you were following the arc of the story, you keep finding yourself immersed in passages you don’t understand, that don’t even seem to belong in the same genre—which requires you to go back and reread the chapters you had originally skimmed to get to the good parts, only to learn that all along you were supposed to choose your own adventure.
Tumblr media
After such a tiring day, you were really wondering if you were stretching yourself past your limits. Helping your parents at the restaurant had always been your priority, and you would rather quit everything else before leaving them busy and without your help. But days like this really made you question your life choices.
Waking up from a restless sleep so early in the morning to shower and go to class wasn’t your particular cup of tea, but regardless of how tired you felt, you powered on and got ready. Needing something to keep you awake for your morning lessons, you groaned aloud when you realised your tea tin was empty. Your mental notes — buy tea, immediately, you don’t want to repeat the disastrous events of May 6th, 2018 — weren’t working either, it seemed. Your little tin mocked you endlessly, staring back at you from your reflection in its shining bottom. Sigh. Lifting your head, you shifted your eyes to the top shelf of the kitchen cabinet, where that forgotten packet of instant coffee had been forgotten for nearly as long as you’d lived in that flat. No, you wouldn’t budge. Not even how tired you were would force you to drink that dark and bitter beverage, not for all the money in the world.
Flash forward to twenty minutes later, and you find yourself in the public bus, with your thermo in hand, filled to the brim with coffee that you obviously hadn’t touched. The universe literally wasn’t in your favour today. Forcing your to drink coffee, the nerve. But it wasn’t so much the coffee, as you looking at your phone to see a text from your mom, asking you to cover for her at lunchtime so she could go to her doctor’s appointment. You were tempted to tell her the truth; that your lessons would finish at half-past two PM, and you were scheduled to meet with Seokjin and Namjoon at three to write the hook of the song you were working on, and two hours later, you had to be back at campus to discuss some aspects of your thesis with your tutor, or else you risked to lag behind and not finish in time. All of this without saying that you obviously needed to finish the cover for Moon that you had promised Jin you would do, and upload another one to your channel taking into account you hadn’t done so in a week.
Looking out of the window at the moving cars and the busy people, you wondered what your mom would say if you said no. Probably that she understood and that your dad would manage on his own. Not likely. So you wrote back and told her you would be there at two, providing that you left your last lesson a bit before it was over. Then you texted both Namjoon and Seokjin to see if it would be possible to pass the meeting to the late evening after your meeting with your professor, hopefully giving you time to at least upload your cover. Or maybe you would just take your laptop and upload said cover in the restaurant and that would give you time to work in Moon for a while after you got home.
You arrived on campus and, after getting the green light from both idols, you set about finishing your day as fast as you could. The clock, however wasn’t agreeing with you. The minutes dragged on, and contrary to your normal behaviour, you found yourself nodding off and not focusing in what your professors were saying at all. Your mind kept going back and forth, going over all the things you had to do, fighting sleep because, let’s face it, you hadn’t touched that damned brew and were in the middle of a mental rant, berating yourself for such a petty and stupid behaviour. Caffeine was caffeine, whatever form it came, and right about now you needed it as you needed oxygen. One of those times you nodded off was a bit longer and deeper than the previous times; you were aware that you were in the middle of a lesson, but your clouded mind travelled far, far away, to a reality your mind recognised but you didn’t.
You were in some park, in front of a large, bright lake. The vision of the water kept glitching in front of your eyes and you tried to blink it away, to no avail. There were many voices surrounding you, joining together to create a cacophony you couldn’t decipher. Light was brightly blinding you and you were just in some sort of limbo, being there and not there at the same time. The shadows of the people whose voices you were hearing kept coming in and out of your vision, like some rewinding VHS movie, confusing you beyond measure but still giving you a sense of nostalgia you couldn’t place. What a strange dream you were having! One of the voices kept coming closer and closer; you could also see their body getting close to yours in their reflection in the lake, and you felt at peace. The deep tones of this person’s sentence were reaching you clearer the closer they got, and you managed to hear some of those words through the calming haze that was your dream. “This was the perfect location, Y/N. The kids are definitely enjoying themselves!” Kids? — you thought, at the same time love filled your every pore.
“Miss Y/N? I would appreciate it if you kept your eyes open during this lecture,” came the voice of the lecturer, and it effectively took you out of your mind. Your cheeks reddening at being caught and being the centre of attention, you nodded your head, keeping your eyes forcibly open for the next hour and a half.
The turn at the restaurant was everything but eventful. The typical kid throwing juice all over the table, insisting that he could feed himself, when his little arms didn’t even reach past the fork. This normally would have made you sigh in frustration, but something made you look at him smiling and wave your hand at his apologising parents, not frustrated at all. Your video was also coming along nicely, a bit slower than you would have liked but by the looks of it, it would be done by the time you had to leave for your appointment at campus.
After swallowing down a bit of apple pie your mom made, you tidied the tables and helped your dad with the last orders before you picked up your things and went running back to university. Thank the universe this wasn’t the same teacher who had caught you that morning sleeping, because that would have been an awkward conversation to have. Your phone vibrated in your pocket half through the discussion with your tutor, but you opted to ignore it. You would have time later to check it and give the appropriate answer. Not wanting to be rude, you focused all your attention in what your professor was saying and noting down all the reference books he was listing for you to make your research a bit more exhaustive. How much more exhaustive can it get, for the love of pizza? — you thought. Apparently, quite. You left his office with your notebook filled with names and dates, and many more books than you could carry, on your way to your appointment at BigHit.
It was only 4 PM and you were feeling like your day would never finish. The buses were packed today, and traffic near Gangnam was a nightmare. You had plenty of time before you had to be up in Rkyve studio to do some songwriting, but still, you worried. Out of the three of you, eight if you extended it to the rest of BTS, you were the less busy one; their schedules were a nightmare to work with — Seokjin’s words, not yours — and most of the time they just squeezed you in between practise and some photoshoot or another. So it was completely understandable for you to worry that you were making it even more difficult for them.
Once you walked all the way to the BigHit building, you were just dragging your feet, tired beyond measure and wanting desperately a place to sit down. You entered the building and entered the code Manager Sejin had given you for when you needed to enter BigHit without one of the members or a manager at least. You waited patiently for the elevator to arrive all the way to the first floor and got it, expecting it to be packed and finding it empty. At least something today was going your way, you had the whole ride to yourself. You smirked and thought how ironic it was; if you didn’t count your dad and your professor, you could count on the fingers of one hand how many more people had interacted with you today.
A sudden sickening feeling got ahold of you, and you stumbled forward, holding onto the railing to keep yourself upright. Your vision blurred again, and you tiredly thought how this was the second time in a day where you lost control of your own body.
You were inside the same elevator, or a very similar one and a happy feeling enveloped you, while you looked down. At your feet, holding your leg, was a little child, jumping up and down, making you somewhat unstable on your feet.
“Calm down, love,” your voice said, but you didn’t remember opening your mouth, “you’ll work yourself into a frenzy and will be tired tonight!”
“Faster! Faster!” Shouted the child, “I wanna see daddy, come on elevator!”
Taking a deep breath you realised the doors of the elevator were opening onto the floor where the reception desk was situated. Shaking your head, you tried to calm your heart, erratic after such a daydream, and moved forward, filing that information for a later inspection.
Approaching the desk, you nodded towards the man and the woman you had come to familiarise yourself over the weeks. And just when you were about to turn the corner into the studios, they called you over.
“Miss Y/N, did you not receive the texts Mr. Namjoon sent you?” Asked the woman.
Frowning, you buried your hand in your bag and fished out your phone, which you hadn’t checked since earlier on in the day. And there it was the text they were referring to.
Tumblr media
So this was how your day had been. After apologising to the receptionists, you had descended again and called a taxi to take you home. You had finished the cover and sent it to Jin, closed all the blinds and laid in your bed, hoping sleep to claim you even though it was still early. Hoping for calmer, and less weird days to come for you, you closed your eyes and finally relaxed.

We Got Married
Tumblr media
PAIRING: JUNGKOOK X Y/N
GENRE: FLUFF | ANGST | HUMOUR | SMUT?
SYNOPSIS: A fake marriage contract for one year. One year of filming a simple romance ‘reality’ TV for the fans and for publicity on her book and our new album that’s all it is - nothing more nothing less.
equivalent text series to this. I recommend reading the story and then the text series, I mean idk I'm trying something new
PART I + TEXT  | ??
"Don't you think it's a little weird?" Your mom places a neatly folded shirt on top of a new pile you are carefully rolling into the suitcase. “The whole going to South Korea to get 'married'" she air quotes, "to um…this John fellow”
"Jungkook, mom" You weren’t sure if she saying his name wrong on purpose.
"Not even knowing who he is or what he does"
Didn’t we go over this before? “You do realize we're not actually getting married right?"
"I just don't know why you agreed to it"
"I have time to spare, I took a Korean language classes for a year, and I get an all expense paid trip to South Korea.“ Pressing and shutting the suitcase, you finally manage to finish packing. Almost breathlessly you say, “I’d be crazy not to go."
You hear your mom sigh in defeat, being her tenth time trying to talk you out of it.
"But Y/N!" She continues to whine. You specifically went shopping the whole morning with her so your departure wouldn't be as hard and pout-filled. "Who told you - you could be 20 and make all these grown up decisions by yourself?“
"That would be me!” Your manager,  intervenes, raising one of his hands mockingly while typing furiously on his phone with the other.
“Then….You’re fired." Your managers eyes finally let go of the screen to give a small chuckle in your direction.
"You can’t fire Tom.” You laugh getting the suitcase off the bed and towards your bedroom door, ”He doesn't work for you.”
Dinner was silent. Your dad already expressed his feelings on your decision earlier last year and it wasn't a happy one.
You kept explaining how it would be good publicity for your future, but all was dismissed with a stern look that said he didn't want to be a part of it.
You're phone lights up from the sofa, just as you were thinking about getting up. ”Finish your food,” he grunted.
"Are you really going to stay mad at me for the last minutes you get to see me?"
No answer
"I'll be gone for a year, I'm sure you wouldn't want it to be the last impression on me." You excused yourself from the table and check your notifications.
"I'm heading down now." You pick up you backpack while your dad quietly gets up and takes the rest of the luggage to the lobby with you and your mom following close behind.
"Don't you dare come home without a smile on your face” Your mom pulls you into a huge, while you’re waiting for Toms car to arrive. She was already teary eyed, pulling you into another hug, “remember you can always come back home whenever you want. Ohhh have fun, sweetie.“
You got down to the lobby to nod a bye to your dad when you saw him sigh in exhaustion
"Why can't you just stay and go to college and party like normal girls.” he laughs, “instead you become successful and decide to get more time away from me"
You swallow back a lump of sadness as you smile back at him. "I'll be back before you know it, I'll call every week, you can even watch the show online"
"In a language I don't understand?”
“That’s why there are subtitles” you joke. He pulls you into a hug before you hear a honking at the front gate. "That john fellow, is he a good kid?" Before I can respond, "never mind that. Even if he's the best kid, he's not good enough for you, Y/N.”
While taking your seat on the plane your phone starts ringing, making you answer it immodestly before you get dirty looks from the rest of the passangers. The screen shows two very familiar faces fighting for the screens space "Y/N!" Followed by an equally loud “Y/nnnn!”
You quickly turn the volume down a few bars, “Hey, you've got 5 minutes before I shut off everything"
“We wanted to wish you a safe trip. Call us as soon as you can” Your friend, Rachel, squeals quickly leaving cameras view because James shoved her out.
“Call me as soon as you’re alone with Jungkook!”
If it wasn’t for your friends you would have never accepted to do the show. James all, but fainted when you got the call from your manager.
“THE JUNGKOOK” he yelled “YOU BETTER SAY YES RIGHT NOW! HOLY SHIT Y/N, THE GOLDEN MAKNAE AND YOU!”
“John who” You put your hand on the phone receiver as you watched your friend contemplate throwing a pillow at you.
“Don’t play with me.”
That night consisted of several award shows, MV playbacks, group interviews, and several other things BTS. You couldn’t deny that they all could very well make anyone fall in love with them. You also couldn’t deny that after actually being able to tell them apart, you found the offer a bit more appealing.
“You better not forget about us when you’re off with your beautiful husband.” Snapping you back to reality, you smiled at James whining. “Do you know how jealous I am right now?”
“Don’t worry, I’ll introduce you when i get the chance.”
“Excuse me miss, all electronics must be off during the planes take off.” One of the flight attendants looked over at you with one of the fakest smile as you managed to give at least a genuine smile back at her.
“Thanks… Alright guys I have to -”
“BYE!” They yell into the camera before cutting off the call.
You hear Tom cough a laugh next to you, “Alright kiddo, we got almost 15 hours in this plane, I suggest you brush up on your Korean”
“Shouldn’t you be the one to brush up on your Korean?”
“I’m sure they have a translator” he says getting taking off his shoes.
“Y/N”
“Mmmm” you groan in your seat as you feel Tom pulling and pushing your arm in attempts to wake you up.
“Y/N! this is not a drill, get up right now, wash your face, pop a mint -“ He takes a COLD face wipe from his bag and passes it on your face.
“What is with you!?”
“BTS’ manager just called” He puts the face wipes back in “they’re picking you up!”
“What? Just tell them we can take the air-train or something, no worries.” you calmly brushed your hair out of your face with your hands to present a a levelheadedness demeanor, “W-”.
“Asdfghjklq! You’re not getting it!” He takes your bag and his in one hand as he pushes you along the planes aisle, “The boys are picking you up.”
All the levelheadedness demeanor was still very much visible from the outside, your insides however were getting very close to loosing it.
“I thought we didn’t see them till tomorrow?” You manage to exit the plane and go towards immigration.
Tom takes out his black file bag with all your documents, making sure they were all in place, “Well… we thought wrong. Their management called to give me a heads up.”
We settle in the line for processing and Tom reaches into my carry-on, taking out my makeup bag, “Here. There’s a bathroom over there, I’ll hold our place on line. Make yourself decent.”
You don’t even hesitate as you walk towards the bathroom. Before you was nothing less or more of what you expected to see in the mirror right after waking up from a long flight.
You make sure to apply only the essential and minimum onto your face. I don’t want to look like I’m trying. You run your hands threw your hair gently trying to go for a messy but presentable look.
“Are you meeting your boyfriend?” An old women goes to the faucet next to you to wash her hands.
You manage a smile back at her, “Something like that.”
“Is he Korean?” She switches to Hangul and smiles at you.
You respond in honorific, “Yes.”
After setting all the paper work and having the bags already gathered on top of carts, Tom and you reached the terminals’ exit. Relief flooded you when you saw a familiar face inside the terminal.
“Sejin!” you call out, heading in his direction. Sejin greets you both and grabs your cart. “Nice to see you, did you wait long?”
Tom handed you your glasses “Put those on, I know you’ll get a headache”
You raised your eyebrows in confusion, but complied as you followed after them. “It wasn’t that long of a wait” Sejin turned back to give you an apologetic smile “I’m really sorry the guys wanted to meet you before filming started”
“Why are you sor-” The sound of thousand of BTS fans answered your question. Your feet came to a halt.
“I’ll go first so they think the boys are leaving. You can sneak out with the security team” Sejin explains, “We don’t want you in an uncomfortable position before filming starts”
Tom knowingly nods and lets Sejin go in front of you. “And I don’t want her having an anxiety attack getting off the plane.”
The cheering only got louder when Sejin went out with Tom.
The security team waited until other passengers on the plane left to sneak between them with you. You put on the sunglasses, focused on how your steps on the spotless airport ground and the cool breeze were welcoming you to Korea - trying to calm your nerves.
You walked a huge circle until you got to a large black van, where Tom opened the door and seated you behind him in the passenger seat.
“You’re alright?” Sejin asks as he takes the car out of the airport parking.
“Yeah, not as bad as I’d imagine” you let out a huge breath taking off the glasses and setting them aside next to you.
“Uh - Thanks for the glasses, y/n” a  rough voice says next to you. You did a double take. You just put your glasses on the lap of Kim Namjoon.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry, I didn’t see you. Hi, I’m y/n, the plane and Korea -“ you were practically breathing out your sentences, obviously not expecting anyone in the car.
“It’s alright” he gives you a wide smile before handing back your glasses, “I’m Kim Namjoon, we were suppose to wait for you at our companies building tomorrow, but the boys practically begged our managers to see you”
“The boys?” It was only then that you realized the van had more seats and those seats were already taken. After letting out another breath, trying to compose your face, you turned around to see 3 more beautiful unfamiliar faces.
You could feel the heat rush to your face, mentally scolding yourself; hours spent on the plane imagining your cool introduction went down the drain as you sit there; mouth gone dry, chest tightening, and your anxiety tempting to make an appearance.
“Hi” you manage to weakly whisper.
“Well…again, I’m Namjoon.” He turns around to point at the rest of the boys from left to right, ”that’s Jimin, Taehyung, and of course your husband Jungkook.”
They all greeted you and your heart beat seem to come back to its regular speed as you slightly bowed to all of them from your seat. “They were all so excited to see you, but as soon as you showed up they got shy” Namjoon teases, “Jin-hyung, Yoongi-hyung, and hobi decided to stay back, so you’ll meet them after.”
A hand tapped your back and you turn around to see Jimin holding out a water bottle, “Thank you,” you try and slowly bring hydration back to your vocal cords.
You turn around again, clearing your throat to introduce yourself properly in hangul.“Nice to meet you my name is y/n, thank you for picking me up at the airport.” You watched as all their eyes widen in realization that they could understand you. Eight pairs of eyes widened back at you and you decided to keep talking, “I wasn't expecting you, so I'm sorry I look like hell.”
“Why didn’t you warn us she could speak Korean!” Taehyung first jumped out at Sejin, who simply chuckled, He turned back to you “You have a nice accent, where did you learn Korean?”
“uh-” Your inner translator was put in overdrive “speak slowly, please - i can’t really understand when spoken to quickly”
“Then you’ll have a problem when we all get together” Namjoon laughs, “stop the car hyung”
Sejin looked at the rearview mirror, eyebrow up “Why?”
“I was seated here for the purpose of translating between the married couple.” Namjoon unbuckles his seat belt, “But since I’m clearly not needed, Jungkook can take my place.”
Sejin translate what Namjoon said to Tom, followed by a chuckle and pulling the van over, “Well kiddo can’t avoid her for long” Sejin commented.
As you heard the door open your focus was maintained on the rear-view mirror, even when you gelt Jungkook taking the seat of Namjoon you didn’t want to look.
“Are you tired from the plane ride?” Jungkook asked after 10 minutes of complete silence went by. Glancing over at him you could see the faintly red tint on his cheeks, even though the lights were off inside the van.
“Yeah.” Finally staring at each other was proven to be more awkward then expected.
“Y/n, you’re younger than all of us ,right?” Taehyung intervened, pulling himself forward from his seat.
“Yeah, I was born a year after Jungkook…ssi?” You glanced at Jungkook, “Do you want me to call you in honorifics?”
A slight smile played on his lips, but before he could respond. “You can still call me Tae if you’d like.”
“Yeah. No need to use formalities, with us - it’s enough just to understand each other properly” Jimin agrees, “It’s a shame we won’t get to see you as often as Jungkook, though”
“Alright, so dropping the honorifics” You smiled back at them, “Will I see you guys during shooting?”
Jimin pushed himself forward too, “I think - we should!... we’d all love that”
“If Jungkook doesn-”
Namjoon pushed himself forward and elbows Taehyung’s side, “Do you have the shooting schedule for the show?”
You look over at Jungkook that has turned himself to face his hyungs, sensing it’s easier than making awkward eye contact with you. “ah no, they were suppose to shoot your arrival, but we thought it would be too overbearing the first minutes of arriving- “
“Tomorrow you’ll meet for the first time in a coffee shop, we have the schedule back in the office. We’ll go over it together,“ Sejin explains.
Tom turns in his seat to face you, “Y/n when I’m not around, Sejin will take care of you, alright?”
“And if I’m not around Jungkook will.”
Jungkook nods his head silently, you start questioning whether he’s taken care of another individual in his life. the way his eyes stare at a point in a slight bit of terror confirms your suspicions.
“Y/n?” You turn back to see Namjoon extend his hand, “give me your phone so I can set up all of our numbers, in case anything happens.” You pass him your phone and Taehyung places his own phone in your hand.
“Put your number under Jungkook’s wife” you hear Jimin laugh at Taehyung joke and hands his phone as well.
The 2 hour ride was enough to figure out Taehyung was more comfortable talking to you than most people were. Jimin only talked after he saw you were comfortable with a subject, careful to not overstep on his questions. Namjoon was a silent observer.
Jungkook’s stare was on some other level, you felt your cheeks redden every-time you felt his stare, so most of the car ride consist of you talking to Jimin and Taehyung, while feeling the sun on your face.
Arriving at their companies building, Jimin ran out to open your door, “Make sure to text us if you need anything, Jungkook isn’t much of a texter.”
“Aren’t you guys busy with your own schedules?” You step out to stretch your legs.
“We’re on break for the first 3 months” Taehyung comes around the corner, “When we get busy it can be hectic, but I’m sure you can come to our schedules too.”
Both of the boys head back inside as you stay back in order to stretch out even more. It’s been a full day of traveling and the only thing you want is a shower followed by a warm meal in bed.
“Um - I didn’t know what to get you.” You jump up, turning back to see Jungkook holding a black hat. “Can I?”
He doesn't really wait for your response as he puts it on you carefully. He takes his eyes off the hat and stares directly at you, showing a small smile, “I’m sorry I’m not very open with people I first meet” he admits before taking a silent step back, “We co-”
“Y/N!” You turn your head back around to find Seokjin in an oversized coat waddling towards you “Get inside! you’ll catch a cold, how was your trip? Do you want to go to your hotel to rest? -”
As you get pulled into the building by Jin, you leave Jungkook to his own thoughts.
“What do you think about her?” Sejin asks getting out the car “Was she what you expected?”
“She’s seems…” choosing his words wisely, “nice.”
“Well yeah, if you’re going to stare at her for 2 hours straight I’m sure she’s more then just…nice” Sejin mocks.
His cheeks turn a brighter crimson from both the weather and teasing, “I wasn’t staring.”
“No it was more like… you were gawking” Sejin lets out a knowing sigh “Lets go in before she falls in love with the wrong dork because you were too shy to make a move.”
A fake marriage contract for one year. One year of filming a simple romance ‘reality’ TV for the fans and for publicity on her book and our new album that’s all it is - nothing more nothing less.

Jeon Jungkook
PART 1
Tumblr media
--- Fandom: BTS
--- Pairing: jungkook x reader
--- Genre: jungkook as your senior!; idol! au
--- Word count: 1.7k
--- Summary: You work as a receptionist for BigHit and you’re an aspiring idol so you train every day at an unused practice room in the building and one night Jungkook sees you practicing and thinks you’re a pretty decent dancer
--- Note: No offense intended to all music majors out there (you guys are awesome!!) and some of opinions below are taken from real life and do not reflect any of my perception towards those taking up a degree in music
MASTERLIST
It was difficult enough that you were working in an entertainment company, and yet those in the high-ups seemed to have no problem in making your life worse than it already is.
You had moved out of your parent’s house once you graduated high school, mainly due to their unwillingness to support you in your true passion – music. ‘It was a lost cause,’ your mother had mentioned, although your father strongly believed in the power of passion for something, yet he was also hesitant to support you towards achieving your dreams, claiming that there really wasn’t any permanent success in music, adding that those who pursued music lacked the brain cells to complete an actual degree.
To say that the journey was a struggle is a complete understatement, for you had barely gotten through each day of college. However, here you are now, working as a receptionist for the infamous entertainment company in Korea, especially after BTS’s rise to international fame – BigHit Entertainment. Being at the front desk wasn’t at all bad, if it weren’t for your seniors who treated you more of a personal assistant than a receptionist.
‘It’s okay,’ you thought. At least you were already one step closer to finally achieving your dreams – working at an entertainment company. You just had to work your way up, perhaps attend a few more voice and dance classes somewhere, and enter the annual auditions the company holds.
It wasn’t a surprise that they were going to make it worldwide, the Bangtan boys, - everyone in the company knew that. All seven boys were incredibly down to earth and were humbler than your sister who bragged about finishing a free gym trial where her boyfriend worked as a personal trainer.
You see the boys almost every day, always bowing their heads to other employees in greeting. Besides their notable politeness, not a single person in the building failed to notice their good looks.
These boys, who were recently dubbed as the most famous boy group in the world have undoubtedly looked like celebrities even before their rise to stardom.
Namjoon looks like every girl’s dream guy - smart, talented, tall, and fashionable. Jin was indisputably handsome from all angles, and you were almost jealous that he reached that level of drop-dead gorgeousness that he was even prettier than most girls you knew, including yourself.
Yoongi always had this sense of professionalism and it only takes one look at him and you could feel the passion he has for making music. Hoseok’s unmistakeably bright smile was too infectious for your own good, and you remembered how he greeted you with a wide smile on a bad day once, and never did you frown for the rest of the day.
Jimin looked like royalty walking among commoners like you, yet he had the heart and soul of a precious little boy. Fans aren’t mistaken of Taehyung’s virtually realistic facial features, and there were times when you wondered if he was an actual person or science has had another breakthrough and that was him. Finally, Jungkook…boy was this cutie quiet and shy…only with strangers. When he’s with his hyungs, his character does a complete 360 and you find yourself adoring his playfulness.
Your coworker, Hyeonji, snapped you out of your thoughts as she waved her hand in front of you. “Y/N, love, it’s time to go home.”
“Oh right. Thanks Hyeonji!” You waited until she finished arranging some of the files on your shared desk and you walked quietly to the bathroom and changed into your exercise clothes. This had been a daily routine for you, after you had befriended one of the housekeeping staff and told him of your dream to share your music to the world.
“My daughter had the same passion as you, Miss Y/N,” Mr. Moon said as he took a sip from the milk carton you offered him earlier. The 59-year-old man wiped a tear that fell on his cheek. “Whenever she listened to music, every time we came across a musical instrument, heck, anything related to it, you could see the passion burning in her eyes,” he paused for a moment, “I remember how she saved up for an electric piano the entire summer, and how she played beautiful pieces on the piano when she thought no one was around.” You smiled.
“She was as pretty as the music she played, Miss Y/N.”
“I would’ve loved to meet her, Mr. Moon. She sounds wonderful.”
Not one of you dared to share another painful memory as you spent the night talking about your lives. Mr. Moon decided that he would clean an old practice room last so you could have time to practice your dancing. You hugged him tightly that day, and he cried as he whispered, “If I couldn’t let my daughter’s dreams come true, I’ll try to help you reach yours then.”
You set your bags down by the mirror and connected your phone to the only speaker in the room. The room didn’t really look like one for practicing, since the building you had transferred to was still a few months old, and the walls still reeked of new cement and there was a small pool of water on the corner right under a leaking pipe. None of the trainees or the idols have used the room according to Mr. Moon but you didn’t mind – you still couldn’t afford to take extra classes for voice and dancing so the room would have to do.
The seven boys, exhausted after ten hours of practice for their comeback, walked tiredly towards their parked van. “Hyung, please I really need to pee!” Jungkook whined, clinging onto Hoseok’s arm. “Please, Kook, we literally live fifteen minutes away from the building. Can’t you just hold it in?”
“I’ve been holding it in for ten hours!” The rest of the group fell silent, somewhat guilty at the mention of the youngest one’s sentiments. It was true though – Jungkook had been asking for a short tiny break but they were afforded only a water break after each song and none of them were allowed to go out because the choreographer had to point out each mistake afterwards.
Their manager, Sejin spoke up, “First corner, turn left, you’ll see the toilet down the corridor.” Jungkook bowed slightly in gratitude and sprinted towards the door they exited from while the rest of the group went to the van and waited. The 20-year-old, also feeling guilty for losing his calm, wanted to waste no time because he knew they were all exhausted too, that was until he heard music playing from the door left ajar next to the toilet.
He paused for a moment – curiosity eating at him. Deciding that he needed to relieve himself first, he entered the toilet and listened to the music that came from the room you practiced in.
He thought about the song that faintly echoed throughout the room and why it sounded so familiar so he took a peek inside. He figured he had come across the song when he was searching for choreographies from a Youtube channel. He saw you dancing to Beyoncé’s Upgrade U and thought that you were a pretty decent dancer, not exactly qualified for a professional but a few more polishing would’ve done the job.
He figured if he watched longer his hyungs would lose it and that you’d actually catch him watching you so he turned his back and sprinted back to the parking lot.
“What took you so long? And why are you smiling like that?” Jimin whispered, not wanting the rest of the group that had fallen asleep.
“Nothing,” Jungkook answered and hummed to Beyoncé.

Book of Soulmates
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Jimin x reader
Premise: Everyone is given a barcode that’s tattooed onto their wrists. Their soulmate has a matching barcode. It is common for most public areas to have a barcode scanner for those entering. The scanner will alert you if your soulmate has also entered the area.
“I can’t believe they only have one scanner,” my friend laments as she shifts from one foot to the other. “This is going to take forever.”
Looking at the line ahead of us, I can’t help but agree with her. If I had known that there would only be one scanner at the entrance of the concert, I would have found some way to sneak in. Now it’s much too late for that.
BTS doesn’t mess around when it comes to security.
“Do you think they make the boys scan in?” I wonder aloud, watching as an official looking person appears with what I hope is another barcode scanner in tow.
“I don’t know...do you think they even want them to find their soulmate right now? That would probably put a damper on their career, don’t you think?” She gets up on her tippy toes, mimicking the vast majority of the crowd as they wait to see if it is indeed another scanner.
When the man at the front begins to divide people into two separate lines to utilize both scanners, a round of cheers erupt in the crowd.
“Finally!”
“I was scared they were going to start the concert without us.”
“How would they even start the concert? All the fans would be outside waiting to get scanned.”
“Yeah, there’d only be like six people in the venue.”
“Oh to be those six people.”
I chuckle at the conversations I overhear, rolling my eyes. “Oooh, look! We’re moving!”
My friend and I leap forward, suddenly feeling like the line is moving much quicker now. “You’ve got your ticket, right?”
I nod. “Right here.”
To add to our joy, a third scanner is set up. Soon the lines are flowing as they should be, people hardly glancing at the scanner as they slide their wrist below it, eager to get inside.
I hop on my toes as my friend goes ahead, getting the ok from the staff member with hawk-like eyes. They wave me forward, and I grin at my friend as I swipe my wrist under.
“Thank y-” I chirp, but a hand on my arm stops me mid sentence.
“Wait here, please.”
I blink at them, my heart stopping. “What?”
“Your barcode jammed the system,” the staff member explains, unplugging the scanner and a round of groans going through the crowd. “Come with me, I’ll get your barcode properly scanned and lead you to your seat.”
“Can my friend come with me?” I ask in a small voice. The staff member gives me a long look, a flicker of stress behind their eyes.
“I’ll lead you to your seat as soon as I finish, please tell your friend to go ahead without you.”
It’s the look of stress that stops me from pressing the matter, and I wave at my friend who gives me a wave back, looking confused. I shrug, following the staff member.
What I assumed would be a quick walk to find another scanner turns out to be a jaunt through the entire stadium, weaving in and out of hallways that are bustling with staff members and makeup artists.
The worker that stole me away is currently speaking quietly into a walkie-talkie, using strange phrases and words that make no sense to me. My heart pounds as I wonder if I’m somehow in trouble, and I begin to wrack my brain for what I did wrong.
“Wait right here, please.” The staff member doesn’t even wait to see if I’ll obey before heading off into a closed room.
Leaning against the wall and keeping my eyes down as I feel the stares of all the other workers, I pray that this will be over quickly. I’m sure my friend is worried about me and the concert is supposed to be starting soon.
I swear, if I miss even one song I’m going to lose my mind.
The minutes tick by, the halls growing more and more frantic. I’ve started keeping count of all the times people pass me, and I’m nearly to 75 when I feel a light tap on my shoulder.
I turn, expecting to see the same worker as before but gasp as I see Sejin instead.
“Sorry to startle you,” he says. “Would you mind coming inside for a moment?”
Unable to say a word, I simply nod and follow him to the room where the worker disappeared. As I enter, I find that I’m unable to continue moving. Frozen in the doorway, I stare at Sejin as though he’s my only hope.
“I...I don’t think I should be in here.”
“On the contrary,” laughs Taehyung from where he’s lounging on the couch. “This is exactly where you’re supposed to be.”
All seven members of BTS are looking at me from where they’re sitting in various positions around the room. It looks like they were in a last minute run-through of the concert, they’re completely decked out and ready to perform.
So why...?
“Come in, please,” Sejin says, shooting Taehyung a sharp look. “This won’t take long.”
It’s like swimming through concrete trying to walk inside the room, but when I remember that they have a concert to put on in like fifteen minutes I pick up the pace. Sejin closes the door behind me, offering me a seat just outside the circle.
“Am I in trouble?” I ask, sitting down and keeping my eyes on Sejin. I feel like I might pass out if I look anywhere else.
Sejin gives me a soft smile, understanding my worry. “No, absolutely not. Are you feeling alright? Do you need anything? Water...snacks?”
I frown. “...no. No, I’m fine. What’s going on?”
Everyone chuckles at my question, making my cheeks burn. I look down at my shoes, praying that I’ll wake up from this strange dream soon.
“Jiminie, you said that you wanted to explain.” Namjoon is quick to get everyone back on track, a hush falling over the room.
Jimin, who’s sitting three people down from me, sits on the edge of the couch. I peek up at him, another blush taking over my features.
His cheeks are rosy as well as he purses his lips, looking completely unsure of himself. “Right.” He looks around the room as though searching for a prop or something before his eyes land on my exposed wrist.
His fingers are shaking as he struggles to unbutton his cuffs, j-hope helping him when he can’t quite get it.
“I have this barcode...” he mumbles, rolling his sleeve up until it’s hugging his elbow. Twisting, he extends his wrist out, showing me his barcode. “Look familiar?”
I blink, staring at his barcode for a long moment. Most barcodes look similar, some only varying in thickness or number by a small amount. But as I see Jimin’s barcode, deep down I know.
I’ve been looking at the same barcode on my own wrist my entire life.
My mouth grows dry the longer I look at his barcode, refusing to look him in the eyes. “Is it...?”
A quick glance at his face shows me that Jimin has wide, hopeful eyes. It’s enough to make me sit up straighter, that look going through me like a bolt of lightning.
“Yes.”
My mouth is ajar as I go back and forth from his barcode to my own, not quite believing my eyes. “Are you sure? They could just look really similar...the staff said I jammed the system,” I offer a little helplessly. “So we shouldn’t just jump to conclusions here.”
The boys share an impressed look, Jimin scratching the back of his neck before getting up off the couch. “Where’s that scanner?” He asks, Sejin appearing with a scanner in hand.
“You’ve got five minutes,” Sejin says. “Everyone else go gather up.”
I watch in horror as the other members get up and begin to file out of the room, bidding me farewell.
“We’ll see you later,” Namjoon says. “Jimin, five minutes.”
“I know.”
Jungkook gives me a sheepish wave. “It was nice meeting you. Enjoy the concert.”
Right. There’s still a concert.
When the room is empty of everyone except for the two of us, Jimin clutches the scanner in hand and walks over to me.
“I...” He pauses, looking like he’s the one that just got thrown into a room with his idol. “May I?”
He gestures to my hand, and it takes me a moment to understand what he wants. For some reason my brain keep short-circuiting every time I look at him and his soft gaze.
“Oh, yeah,” I mumble, holding out my hand and flipping it so he can scan the barcode.
“Look,” he says, sitting beside me and showing me the screen. Scanning my barcode, I gasp as I see what it says.
Match: Park Jimin (red alert)
The words blink up at me, daring me to believe them. Jimin sits quietly beside me, waiting for me to say something.
Watching the blinking screen, a giggle escapes me. Jimin freezes, unsure of what to do.
“What’s so funny?” He asks, sounding a little offended. I shake my head, pointing at the screen.
“This. I mean, what?” I look at Jimin, grinning. “I literally thought I was in major trouble because earlier I said that I should have just found a way to sneak in without having to wait to get scanned. I seriously thought that I was going to get fined or something!”
Jimin’s concerned expression morphs into a smiling one, and he joins in on the laughter.
“Well, surprise!” He waves the scanner in the air.
I can’t stop shaking my head, still in disbelief. Sighing, I look at the clock on the wall.
“Don’t you have a concert or something?”
At that exact moment someone knocks on the door, and Jimin jumps up. Extending his hand to me, I stand as well, marveling at the feel of his hand in mine.
“I’ll see you after?”
I grin. “I’ll think about it.”

Start of the end...
“Someone’s looking for you. She said her name is Deby? Your friend?” her officemate called out her attention while Anna was busy compiling the presentation her boss was asking her to do for the summary of annual company revenue. Her eyes flickers and the look on her face show a puzzlement. She straightened on her seat.
“Wait. Is she downstairs? She should have called me or text me,” she answers and grabbed her phone sat underneath the folders and papers scattered everywhere on her desk. Anna incoherently swears when she found out that her phone shuts off already. She forgot to plug it in. She tried to turn it on but the battery has been drained for more than an hour already.
“She’s waiting, you better check her out real quick.” The coworker said.
She nodded and piled up the papers the head management needed so in any case they immediately wanted the copies, she can deliver it right away. Grabbing her phone and purse, Anna went out their office and rush down the hall to catch the elevator. She couldn’t help thinking what’s going on that her friend even went directly to her work instead of waiting for her back at home.
While, inside the elevator, she tried to turn back on her phone again, hoping it would open so she could check the messages that her friend probably bombarded in kakao but it only rings once then shuts off again. She sighed and scratches her head in agitation.
She sped up once she’s in the lobby of the building and saw her friend pacing around the area. There she confirmed something is going on. The way Deby looks so anxious makes her nervous.
 “Deb!”
Her friend immediately turned around and run into her.
“What’s going on? Why are you here? Sorry, I didn’t notice my phone, I forgot to charge it. Did you message me?” she asked.
“I’ve been trying to reach your phone and I lost count already how many times I’ve tried! I knew it. Glad I’ve decided to go straight here instead!” she replied with her hands flailing in the air.
Anna took a quick glance outside the glass window and she checked also the wall clock at the reception desk. She didn’t manage to keep on track for the time. It’s past 10 pm already. The workloads took her attention the whole day.
“You should have waited for me to get back home. I only have one hour left before I could go out from work. It’s dangerous that you really made your way to meet me here!”
Deby just shakes her head. “That’s not important right now! Haven’t you checked the internet yet? You should have opened your twitter or any of your social media accounts!”
Her eyebrows furrowed and she got more confused. “Can’t do it between my breaks. I am so busy today. I got deadlines! Why? What’s really going on? You’re making me nervous. Deb!”
She watched her friend took a deep breath first. Obviously trying to calm her nerves.
“Okay. Anna, I’ll tell you about it but I need you to calm down---“
“What the hell is going on?! Stop beating around the bush! You’re just making it worse, Deb! Isn’t it obvious I’m shaking already?!” she exploded yet still tried to lower down her voice. She hates it when it was already evident that something bad is coming their way yet her friend wouldn’t spill it immediately.
Instead of speaking, Deby decided to show the screen of her phone. Anna snatched the phone and scanned her eyes all throughout the article.
International hit sensation BTS member Park Jimin allegedly accused of murder.
She only read the headline, yet, she couldn’t stop her hands from trembling already. She fought getting petrified and took an ounce of courage to continue the remaining articles. She scrolled down to read the main body of the article.
A baffling mysterious death took the public attention after Lee Hyekyung (24) found dead inside the apartment complex where she’s living in separately from her parent’s residence. The young woman who is also said to be a daughter of business tycoon Lee & Mei Company- which started the booming business enterprise for alcohol beverages- gruesomely killed by still with an unknown killer. Yet, the first investigation resulted in a suicide after fingerprints weren't found around the area; including the lack of pieces of evidence.
The family appealed for a second investigation after insisting the grisly death of the victim still remained unsolved. They also disclosed an amount for the case willingly to participate in the ongoing process of further investigation.
However, this morning, Lee’s team released a statement that a member of boy group BTS was allegedly involved in Hyekyung’s death. A source revealed that the young woman was also an avid fan of the said group.
As we recall, a blind item also released stating a fan was killed by a specific Korean idol.
BigHit entertainment hasn’t released their statement yet regarding the allegations.
Her trembling hands worsened after reading the whole statement. Deby’s phone almost fell from her grip and Anna sudden feel giddy and nauseous. There’s too much to take in and she couldn’t think straight. A foreign rumbling inside her stomach occur and she felt like she would pass out anytime soon. She closed her eyes and bit the inside of her cheeks.
“Are you alright?” Deby asked. She tried to hold her friend’s arms when she noticed the wobbling legs after she read the article.
Anna opened her eyes and Deby can clearly see the fear, petrify and fright on her. She also felt so cold.
“I was so worried about you that’s why I rushed over here. I tried calling Taehyung but his number was unreachable since the news was released. I wonder if their managers forbid them from using their phones,” Deby said, yet, Anna just remained quiet and her eyes kept glancing at the building. She couldn’t stand still and she doesn't stop shaking. “And also, I found another thing…” she added.
Anna’s eyes immediately focused on her.
“I don’t know how to say it but… Anna, I just found out that… Gikwang… he’s the younger brother of the victim.”
She almost choked to herself. “What?”
“I also couldn’t believe it but some fans found pictures of Lee Hyekyung’s family and some of them shows Gikwang together with the victim. I’ve read some tweets and it says that Lee Hyekyung has a younger brother who’s attending law school, presuming that’s the reason why the case was opened again,” Deby explained.
Anna scoffed. “You can’t be serious, right?”
 Deby didn’t reply.
“How the hell this is happening to us?” she utters in disbelief.
  —   —   —
The seven of them including their own managers and the group manager itself remained quiet and sitting in a circle inside their dorm’s living room. Bulk bodyguards are securing the main gate and the door. Only the moving hands of the clock can be heard inside the room. Nobody dared to speak. Kim Namjoon looks so furious while the rest of them still didn’t know what to think.
Park Jimin thoughts kept wandering. He couldn’t believe that he would have been caught from his mortal sin. It was his first time that somebody would get suspicious from what he has been doing for years.
A moment of mundane took over the whole room. Jeon Jungkook couldn’t even stay still on his seat looking so bored and probably want to touch the keyboard of his computer, while, Min Yoongi dozed off next to Kim Namjoon who looks deep in his own thoughts. Seokjin offered to get them a drink but only Hoseok responded to his offer.
After several minutes, they all cracked back into the real world when the door slid open and Bang Shihyuk went inside the living room with a stranger who wears formal attire and carrying an attaché case on his left hand. Based on his outfit, they concluded he might be the representative for the company’s legal team.
The boys stood up to show respect and waited until the CEO took the seat where Manager Sejin was seating before. All of them went back to their seat when the PD- nim moved his hands in align with the gesture to take their seats.
“Sorry, it took us long to get in here. We had a real hard time to escape the reporters who camp outside the building. But anyway, I’ve already talked to our legal team who will handle the case regarding the speculations to Jimin and we’re standing a strong defense since the evidence they filed seems off and still needed to go through the meticulous inspection all over again.”
The CEO got all their attention except the main subject of this controversial issue. Park Jimin couldn’t focus since he knew all along that he’s guilty of the accusations. But he can’t just walk to the trial court and plea guilty for the case filed against him. That could be the start of unraveling the truth about his real identity.
And he won’t let that happen.
No one should know that he does not belong into the human race.
He snapped back to reality when Kim Taehyung nudged his elbow to grab his attention. His eyes immediately drifted to his side to look at his friend but Taehyung kept his eyes to the CEO.
“Are you listening, Park Jimin?” Bang Shiyuk asked. The man just nods his head. “You know very well how much distraction has this issue brought to the company. Not to mention how this could taint the good image your group has worked for so long. Your group is at peak of your popularity and we don’t want to remain complacent because we might don’t know, one day, you all wake up, you’re back to the garage.”
Those words spook them all especially the group leader who has the responsibility to keep an eye on his members. But now, he just proves to himself how poor his leadership skills after missing the possible tornado that could drag them down.
“I can assure I won’t let that happen. I am not guilty and I don’t even know that girl. So how come I became the main suspect in her death?” he lied, still stood firm into the truth he’s insisting to them to believe.
Namjoon butts into the conversation. “Maybe this was just a set up that our competitor has created to bring us down! We were expecting this, it’s just that we didn’t expect them to be so farfetched like this. We can sue them for defamation!”
The maknae raised his hands. “Hyung is right. I know Jimin- hyung very well and I don’t think he’s that kind of person who can stand too much blood on his hand.”
Park Jimin bit his lips. He’s not affected by all the lies he created but the sincerity of his group members who trust and believe in him starting to eat his conscience.
They watched as the CEO nodded.
“I know. That’s why we are doing our best. As of now, you are all not allowed to step outside this dorm. Any kinds of communication gadget are also prohibited.” The rest of the boys started whining. “Don’t worry about your parents or guardians, we’ve already notified them and we assure them to keep you safe.”
Jeon Jungkook heaved a deep sigh and dug his face into the pillow. Looking so aggravated.
“Your managers will monitor you 24/7. This is a command.”
“But, how about us? Namjoon and me? How can we continue producing music if we’re not allowed to step outside this building? I left my laptop in my studio” Min Yoongi asked.
“Tomorrow morning, one of your managers will bring your laptop. You can still work from there, right?”
Park Jimin caught how he grits his teeth. Min Yoongi looked so annoyed and exasperated about all these. Jimin couldn’t help but feel sorry for them.
Bang PD- nim gave few reminders before he left them. As soon as the security alarm goes off when the front door closed, all of them stood up from their spots. Park Jimin immediately made his way upstairs when Taehyung stopped him for a bit. He turned around and looked at him.
 “Where are you going?”
Jimin almost rolled his eyes at the stupid question.
“Where else? We couldn’t go anywhere aside from the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and living room,” he replied back with sarcasm.
Taehyung took a deep breath. “I know you know what I mean,”
Jimin scoffed. “There are so many things going on outside that door,” then he points out to the main door where the marshals are standing. “I don’t wanna risk any movement as of the moment. I wanna go to sleep and maybe will try to think tomorrow for a great escapade.”
Then he left Kim Taehyung at the first step of the staircase. He was about to climb the stairs when he heard an angry voice from Min Yoongi upstairs.
“INTERRUPT MY SLEEP AND I’LL INTERRUPT YOUR BREATHING!”
Taehyung wonders who’s that shout are for.
  —   —   —
“Anna please maybe you could move this by tomorrow! Its past midnight already! What if they’re already sleeping?” Deby tried to stop her friend from walking towards a huge gate. She grabbed her arms to make her stop and Anna turn around to look back at her.
“How about I’ll call Doojoon again and I’ll let him know that we’re not going to meet him and that we’ve decided to see him tomorrow morning instead? How bout that?” she tried convincing.
“Deb, okay, if you don’t wanna go with me you are free to leave. I really just need to get the personal contact of Gikwang. Listen, I really appreciate your help for contacting Doojoon for me and it’s really okay if you will just leave me here.”
Deby stomped her feet. “Are you nuts? Do you think I’ll get a nice, deep sleep knowing that you’re out in the middle of the fucking night?!”
Anna took a deep breath and scratched her forehead. “But I really can’t postpone this. We’re already here. One more step and we could get what we need.”
The anxious friend breathes through his mouth and rolled her eyes.
“Well, what should I expect? You’ve been a stubborn brat since then. You always get what you want.” Then Deby fished out her phone from her cream-colored coat. “Okay, I’ll message him that we’re in front of their house already.”
Anna rewarded her a genuine smile to thank her for coming through all this way. She could feel the freezing temperature yet nothing can stop her from getting what she wants. She thought that maybe Deby’s right. She had been a stubborn brat all this time.
Less than five minutes later, the gate opened and it revealed the trembling body of Yoon Doo- Joon who’s wrapped with thick coat and scarf around his neck.
“Been waiting for you. Be thankful I wasn’t sleeping yet. What do you need? Why are you in a rush? It’s fucking freezing out here, how bout we’ll go inside first? I think I’ll die from hypothermia if we stay here a little bit longer,”
Deby immediately went inside the gate leaving Anna behind. “Glad you offer that. I’m freezing to death also.”
Anna wants to protest but there’s nothing she can do when her friend boldly walked straight inside Doojoon’s house.
“C’mon in! Let’s talk inside,” he said and move to the side to give way.
They warm their hands with a hot coffee. Their chilled fingers wrapped around the warm mug as they all sitting in the living room. Deby mentioned to her friend that she once came to Doojoon’s house when they were working for a specific minor subject and they happened to be in the same group back in freshman years in college. The boy volunteered to use his house to do the group work and there when they find out that he’s basically not just a normal guy- next- door but a wealthy smoking ass living independently. He mentioned that both of his parents are living in the countryside and only his older brother who already has his own family stayed in Seoul. Their family businesses solely related to food industry which amused them the most.
“Really, what do you need from Gikwang that you’re so eager to meet him in the middle of the night? Can’t you wait until the next day?” he asked placing the mug on top of the coffee table.
Deby looked at Anna waiting for her response. It’s not that she doesn’t know the answer, she just prefers that it’ll come from her friend who has the most intention to meet Lee Gikwang.
Anna, however, took a deep breath and watched her fingers tracing the lip of the black mug.
“I—I heard about what happened…” she looked up at him. “About the incident… I—I felt bad that I got rude to him so I’ve decided to meet him now. Right away.” She lied.
Deby hides her disappointment with all the issues.
Yoon Doo- Joon seems fine with the excuse. The way he nods his head shows he’s buying the lame excuse she said.
“But it’s Friday today, there’s no way we can reach his phone,” he replied back.
Both of them looked suddenly confused.
“What do you mean? Why?” Deby asked.
“Gikwang mostly spends his Friday night in a club at Gangnam. He plays as a DJ there,” he explained.
Their faces drastically changed from confused to surprise.
“He’s a DJ?!” Deby asked again with excitement and astonishment in her voice.
“Uhhhh—how do I put it into words? Hmmm.. not really a DJ as a profession but for fun. Get it? Gikwang shares stocks to run the Octagon and him—as a DJ—is just part of relieving his stress. It’s not like he’s being paid or what, but just because he wants it. Well, he doesn’t need money. Mostly the net income they earned every night goes smoothly straight to his own account anyway,” he explained.
Anna took a weak suspire. She just really can’t take in everything all at once. Too much information about Lee Gikwang in one day was too suffocating.
Doo- Joon continued. “My former high school classmate Dong- Woon is the real owner of the Club Octagon and he happened to be looking for a potential investor to start his business and I unintentionally opened it to Gikwang. Just didn’t expect he’ll get interested in it so I introduced Gikwang to him,” he explained furthermore.
Anna stood straight to the couch. “Take me there.”
Her friend Deby immediately shifted in her seat to face Anna.
“What?! No. I won’t let you go that far, Anna.”
But the agitated girl doesn’t seem to notice her best friend complains and still remained focus on Yoon Doo- Joon who still looks so conflicted.
 “Please?” she begged.
It took him first ten deep breathes before he made his own decision.
“Kay. I’ll give you a lift,” he agreed then immediately stood up to get his keys.
Deby who still against her friend stood up also.
 “WHAT?”
  —   —   —
The city that has never slept came to light when he pulled up right in front of a party club which screams terrible noise and smells from smokes of nasty young adults blowing their cigarettes into the air. A long line of customers who wanted to get inside blocked the view of the overall design of the building from afar. Most of the women wore shirt skirts she couldn’t imagine wearing especially at this tremendous degree of the night. Even some of them covered with fur, their bare legs weren't able to escape the wrath of the winter.
They all get off from Doo- Joon's car and Anna immediately wore the hood of the jacket she just snatched from his place. The layer of clothes she wore this morning for work doesn’t justify the coldness of the night. Not included yet the nerve-wracking thought that she’s gonna talk to Lee Gikwang.
The two girls followed behind Doo- Joon. Deby’s left in awe when they didn’t have to get in line in order to get inside the club. They just watched how Yoon Doo- Joon whispered something to the bouncers and they easily get access inside.
“Just follow right behind me, okay?” he reminds the two girls who immediately nod their heads.
The music gets louder and louder the moment they walked into the narrow alley connected to the dance hall. A mixture of screams and bass cracks her eardrums and pounding her chest like she was getting hit by a drum stick. The dark yet blinding laser lights with different colors dance around the club, hitting their eyes like it was scanning their identities.
As soon as they get into the entrance of the main dance platform, an ocean of aggressive human beings dances nastily along the beat. Sweats dripping from their neck and alcohols spilled on the floor make the sight looks horrible for her.
Anna had never been to any party club. She once dreamed to get high like this, but now that she’s getting the evidence, she changed her mind right away.
Yoon Doo- Soon brought them to the far right corner next to another alley that seems connected to staffs gateway and comfort rooms. Her eyes traveled around. Scanning the gaudy view of lifeless people jumping in grace.
Soon after, her eyes landed on the main stage where two men producing the beat using only their tools, ears and hands. One of them wore a baggy shirt and a cap while the other one wore a tight buttoned-down black shirt, with sleeves folded up to his elbow. The way this specific man dresses exclusively inside the club tells her this is the man she was looking for to talk to.
His head- banging together with the beat with his left hands rose in the air. The music consuming his worn-out body. The light flooded the darkness of his eyes. He seems high with all the issues. Drunk with the problems, yet sober to reality.
She caught herself guilty the way she remembered herself treating him in the past. She was so rude and had never even noticed he’s carrying a horrible anger on his shoulders.
“I’ve already asked someone to call him,” Doojoon announced after he came back to talk to one of the staffs. Anna just smiled and nods her head while Deby chose to sit on the high stool in the counter bar.
“Want a drink?” he offered. Both of them immediately rejected his offer.
“We don’t wanna risk anymore,” Deby sarcastically replied. He just wheezes.
The nervous woman turned her eyes back to her main subject. She caught him listening to a guy whispering directly in his ears. Lee Gikwang removed his huge headsets to listen keenly to what the guy was saying, then after a couple of minutes, he stood there staring at the guy’s face looking so surprised yet unconvinced. Anna saw how his eyes travel like a bullet train to their spot but the blinding laser lights concealed them.
Her attention cuts off to him when he heard Doojoon speaking, but not to them. He was speaking to a young handsome man, looking same as their age, and the way Doojoon speaks informally to him tells her more that he’s a close friend.
“Just helping my friends to talk to Gikwang.” She heard him say. Probably an answer to a question what on earth he was doing there. “By the way…” Yoon Doo- joon turned around to face them again and he smiles. “This is Dong- Woon. The one I’m telling you,”
The man extended his hand to formally greet them. He shook both of their hands and exchanged hello’s.
“This is Deby and Anna from university,” Doojoon said,
 “Oh? Classmates?” the man asked.
 “To some minor subjects.”
The man nodded. “You should have informed me that you’re bringing your friends. I could have reserved a VIP room for them.”
“No, no need. This is unintentional. Look how do we dress tonight. Do we seem ready to party? We only just came here because Anna needs to talk to him personally.”
Dong- Woon's eyebrows wiggles and she get it that he must have thought they were in a relationship, yet she decided not to speak.
 “Oh, relationship problem?” he suspects.
Doo- Joon just awkwardly laughed and looked back to her. Anna remained uninterested to answer.
They were cut off to their conversation when Lee Gikwang finally appeared in the picture.
“No. Stop jumping around the conclusions. Y’all like gossip girls,” he butts in then turned to look at her. “Do I need to be surprised or what?”
Anna stared back at him ignoring the eyes around them. “Can we talk privately?” she asked. He didn’t answer and just started walking towards to a narrow alley connected to god knows where. She took it as a signal so she followed right behind him while Deby and Doojoon left with the new meet person.
   —   —   —
Gikwang opened a door to a small room packed with different lights and other technical materials such as huge speakers and LED tiles. She looked around as soon as she gets in and heard the door closed right behind her. Her eyes turned back to Lee Gikwang which made her realized was all sweaty with his shirt sticking to his chests. She unconsciously let her eyes travel to the black locks of his hair sticking also to his forehead and ears. The look on his face doesn’t seem well after he met her.
“What are you doing here? As far as I know you, you’re not the type of person who would step their foot in a noise, crowded place like this so I assume this has to be really important,” he started.
Anna felt her fingers trembled and her lips quiver. She tried to fight it off and play it cool but the more she stared at his eyes, the more she could feel he’s overpowering her now.
“I—I heard the news. A- about…” she trailed off and gulped the forming knot in her throat. “About the death of your sister.”
His face reaction didn’t even change. He looks stoic.
“And then?” he asked looking unbothered.
Anna tried to gather her thoughts but her mind wouldn’t come up the right word to start it.
 “I—I’m sorry for your loss---“
“Stop beating around the bush and get straight to the point. What do you want, Anna?”
The anger in his voice slowly unveils the truth he has been hiding for so long. She once again tried to muster up a courage.
 “Drop the charges against Jimin.”
She blatantly requested. She tried to say it word for word looking at his eyes but she just couldn’t stay the way his eyes look so dead and empty.
He scoffed in disbelief. “You’d really think I’ll do that for you?”
 She didn’t answer.
“Do you really think I’m so whipped for you that I would easily get swayed if you would ask me to drop all the efforts I’ve made?”
She stayed still. Not moving an inch.
“Are you really taking that monster side?”
 There she snapped finally.
“He’s not a monster!” she yelled.
“Then what do you call someone who kills an innocent person?! Oh? A killer!” he replied full of rage.
Anna felt her lips trembled so hard now. “H-he didn’t want that in the first place. He had no choice,”
“Wow… so killing an innocent now can be easily forgiven just because the murderer had no choice but to kill them? How shallow was that defense, Anna?”
His eyes stared at her, trying to control the impending explosion building up inside his body.
“He. Killed. My. Sister. HE FUCKING KILLED THE ONLY PERSON THAT I GOT IN MY LIFE AND YOU WANT ME TO LET IT PASS AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED AND START MOVING ON FROM OUR LIFE! ANNA, HE RUINED MY PARENTS MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL STATE! MY MOTHER EVEN HAD TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY TO GET A PROFESSIONAL HELP AFTER THAT TRAUMA! HE BASICALLY RUINED SOMEBODY’S QUIET LIFE AND YOU WANTED ME TO FORGIVE HIM AND DROP THE CASE?!”
A tear fell from his eyes and there she couldn’t help herself from tearing up too.
“I didn’t expect how unreasonable you are just because he’s your boyfriend,” he added.
Anna immediately wiped off her soaked cheeks and looked up at him.
“I can’t help it,” she bit her lips. “I know how selfish I am right now but…” she almost choked. “Just like your sister… Park Jimin is the only person that I got in my life,” a tear has escaped from her eyes once again. “I’ve never experienced to be loved by someone else other than my father in my life and now… I—no longer don’t know how to live a life without him. I’ve been living in a pit hole of hell and for the first time in forever I felt how magnificent it was to be living in genuine happiness and that’s all because of him!”
Gikwang looked away from her and didn’t say anything.
“I am so desperate now and I don’t know what else to do to save him. I know, Gikwang! I know how selfish I am right now but… what else can I do?”
 “But he’s a monster, Anna. He’s a fucking monster!”
“HE’S NOT! HE’S ACTUALLY BETTER THAN MOST PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD AND IT’S NOT HIS MISTAKE THAT HE WAS BORN TO BE LIKE THAT! LIKE US, HE JUST NEED TO SURVIVE!”
“BUT THAT WILL NEVER JUSTIFY THE DEATH OF MY SISTER!”
That time, she’s suddenly thankful for the loud audio music playing outside. Nobody can hear their yelling’s and shouts.
Gikwang opened his mouth again and the next words that came out above a whisper.
“Why are you doing this all for him?” he asked.
Anna looked up. “I’ve said it before. It’s because I love him that much.”
“And you’re even willing to even risk your own life to death?”
 She nodded.
“What did that Park Jimin do to be given such privilege to be with a girl like you?”
She didn’t reply and watched him eerily laughing in the corner.
“Do you trust him?” he asked another again.
 “Yes…” she replied.
“Do you think he trusts you as much as you trust him?”
She contemplated the question. She knew the answer but why she couldn’t voice it out.
Gikwang added. “If he trusts you the way you entrusted your life to him, why wouldn’t he trust you to keep this secret from killing my sister?”
 She was taken aback.
He stares directly at her eyes. “It’s because he’s not really comfortable to be real with his true self in front of you. He’s basically hesitant that you will stay by his side no matter what.”
The words struck a chord in her ears that it rung all the organs in her body. He makes sense but yet, just like what she promised to him, she will trust him.
“You might be true… but I believe there’s a reason for that.”
Gikwang scoffed to laugh sarcastically again. “Love can really be so dumb, huh?”
 Anna remained silent.
“How far can you go for your love, Anna?”
How far can you go for your love, Anna?
The knees on her legs holding the remaining strength of her body have warned for a collapsion anytime soon when she heard that question again. It was the same question she was asked by Kim Taehyung the day she first witnessed how Park Jimin sucked a pitiful old woman back in Daegu. That night when she first caught a glimpse of his real identity—being a vampire living to kill for blood.
The same emotion has boiled up and she found herself looking for an answer all of sudden.
“I am willing to do anything for him…”
 Short yet firm answer.
She remembered her answer to Taehyung before.
Even if it takes me to hell, that’s my answer. I can go for my love even if it takes me to the bottom pit of hell.
“Anything?” he asked clarifying her answer. The tone and vibrant of his voice made her skin hairs spiked up. Chills run down on her spine and when she turned her head to look back at him, she lost his move in a blink and too late to realize that Lee Gikwang was pinning her against the wall and kissing her lips harshly.
The last thing she felt was her tears streaming down her cheeks.
  —   —   —
Park Jimin bolted up from his bed panting and gasping for air. The horrible image of Bae Wangbi kept replaying inside his head. The scene where she was being raped by an awful man who took advantage of her weakness. And the looks on her face which still break his heart repeatedly. The image of her crying, weak and helpless while being molested by a man that up till now he still wanted to kill with his bare hands.
“Why have I dreamed about it?’ he whispered.
The whole room was covered with little snores of his roommate Jung Hoseok who sleep on the next bed. Lights are off and all the blinds are closed. Only the tiny lamp gives light to the whole gloomy room.
Park Jimin gets off from his bed and pace around the room. He thought of Anna but he’s too weak to sneak out to go and visit her. After the controversies, he hadn’t been able to look for another dying person. Now, his strength is about to shuts off if he dared to use it in an attempt of escape.
  —   —   —
She almost lost her breath when Gikwang pulled away and smashed the wall with his knuckles. Blood gushing on his fingers and all Anna could do is to remain to stand, trembling and crying. She hates herself again for feeling so weak. She winces when she felt a wound on her lips due to his hard kiss that he basically just wants to prove a point, but in the end, Lee Gikwang lost it.
“HE FUCKING DON’T DESERVE YOU!” he yells exasperatedly, angry and full of guilt and hate.
“HE’S NOT WORTH FOR YOUR LOVE AND ALL OF YOUR SACRIFICES! BUT—FUCK ANNA! WHY?!” he shouted and leaned against the wall panting, crying, angry and tired.
“WHY ARE YOU SO READY TO GIVE UP YOUR LIFE JUST TO PROTECT HIM THAT YOU DIDN’T EVEN FIGHT BACK WHEN I FORCED MYSELF ON YOU?!”
Anna closed her eyes trying to calm herself again. Just like before but the pain in her arms where he held her tight makes it hard.
“WHY HIM?! OF ALL THE PEOPLE?! OF ALL THE CREATURE?! WHY HIM?! FUCK! FUCK! JUST FUCK!” he screamed again and the raspy voice probably startled out finally the people who might be walking pass that tiny room.
Lee Gikwang punched the wall again and the stocked boxes of instruments shook and collapsed and fell on the floor which made a more loud sound. Blood continuously gushing out from his wound and cut and droplets of blood scattered on the white tiled floor.
“WATCH IT! I REALLY EXPOSE HIM TO THE ENTIRE WORLD!”
The door blasted open and it revealed the scared look of Doo- Joon, Deby and the owner of the club.
“WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!” Doo- Joon yelled.
“ANNA WHAT’S GOING ON?!” Deby panicked.
Gikwang pulled his hair in frustration and stormed out the room without saying a word. There, finally, Anna felt the air hit her nasal airway. Her wobbled legs finally gave in and she collapsed on the floor. Deby immediately rushed to her.
She still couldn’t stop from crying but felt relieved she had stopped from shaking too much. Yoon Doo- Joon followed his friend and the club’s staffs rushed over to help them both. Anna refused to get carried for treatment though she’s not even wounded in the first place. She insists to go home instead. However, Son Dong- Woon insisted to call for a cab to take them back safely.
Some things are made for ending.

Most of the time, Daehyun gives Sejin something to believe in. Could it be only for a few seconds, or a fleeting passing of minutes. The variation isn’t any of Sejin’s concerns. The point is, Jung Daehyun has made him into a believer of something good and tender.
They’ll be strong the day after today. It’s definite that their future won’t end on a few damaging hypotheticals.
He lies on his side, and Daehyun’s deep, brown eyes reflect into his own. The room’s lacking in warmth, yet with each other’s body heat, the two are unmoved. Sejin tries to remember that he’s Daehyun’s first for a lot of things. It’s been a sum of how many years and he talks like an experienced lover, adores like one, and knows all the words to the language of love that Sejin hasn’t unconditionally announced with anyone prior to him. He lets him comb his fingers through his hair. He lets him pull him closer, just to feel the rhythm of their hearts coexist because maybe that’s what they are for one another. Two unlikely souls intertwined by chance.
Sejin confirms Daehyun’s words with concurring hums. He lifts both of his arms and allows them to circle round his neck. Sejin’s fingers gently twirl against the shortened hair along Daehyun’s nape. “This whole thing is like watching a holiday romcom, except the movie eventually takes a turn with opposing family that try to ruin the main couple’s Christmas.” He wants to give Daehyun something to laugh about. He’s lacking his usual boyish mirthfulness and Sejin knows it won’t last very long. “Don’t you think that’s a generic plot for a holiday movie, though?” His fingers carefully massage the back of Daehyun’s neck, softening any existing tension while caring for him through touch is just a tenderhearted excuse to feel closer to Jung Daehyun.
He tells Sejin he loves him. Right now, it’s the only thing he’s been pining to hear without having to ask if he still loves him after all. He’ll never exhaust himself of Daehyun declaring his love for him. It’ll never get old, redundant, or overused for the sake of adoration when he knows Daehyun’s words are true.
It embodies so much sincerity that every time he says so, it always feels like the first time he’s said ‘I love you’.
Sejin drifts from Daehyun’s embrace for space in between their bodies. He leans forward to kiss him.
The kiss is meant to stay, and linger, for all that Sejin wants to convey that he’s never been short of infatuation for Daehyun. To pull apart from him feels wrong. Sejin has all the time in the world with him, but an inch of distance is insistently lonely enough. “I love you too,” he starts. “There’s nobody that I want to be in trouble with, if it’s not with you.” His smile is finally relaxed, bringing his lips to the center of Daehyun’s forehead with a kiss of his conviction.
While this is Daehyun’s first time for everything, it is also Sejin’s. The only difference is that Sejin is a bearer of lives lived with the wrong person in every universe if he hasn’t found Jung Daehyun.
It takes a minute for Sejin to rise out of bed. As he’s sat, he looks to the window of their suite. The horizon has darkened, the laps of the ocean hardly distinguishable in the early shadows of evening. He’s quickly distracted by a chair becoming a clothing rack for Daehyun. “Looks like somebody’s excited,” he sneers, jokingly, before rising to his feet and gathering his boyfriend’s tossed-on garments. Sejin gently folds Daehyun’s shirt, pants, boxers, and coat. He hangs them up neatly in their shared closet, spraying it with the fabric freshener, and joins Daehyun in the bathroom. The door closes behind him, as the chill from the room may enter.
Carefully, Sejin undoes his watch. He rests it on the counter, sensible of Daehyun’s companionship as his arms find themselves around the waist. A small smile tickles the corners of his lips. He looks ahead of them at their reflection. His eyes follow the muscular definition of Daehyun’s arms and shoulders. And secondly, their eyes meet in the mirror. Sejin’s expression only grows with more fondness.
One thing that Daehyun’s unsure if he’s aware of, is his timing for banter. Sejin’s got a smile that’s not far off from a laugh. He brings himself to, once his lover interrupts their restful silence. “You’d think it’d be that easy, huh?” he entertains, leaning in the other direction as to give Daehyun some wiggle room for his kisses in between the neck and collarbone. “I wouldn’t want to have it any other way, even if it meant that my life would be considerably easier. I love you as we are now.”
Sejin eventually rids himself of his outdoor clothing. He neatly folds them and places it onto the counter, though a part of him wished he got undressed by the closet. It’s unimportant, he’ll worry about it later, especially now that Daehyun won’t keep his hands and eyes off of him.
Vulnerability finds him as he’s left bare. Sejin’s seen Daehyun in his skin, Daehyun’s seen Sejin in his. It should be nothing out of the ordinary, but he can’t quite find the words for his unusual shyness. He turns in Daehyun’s arms, and has to look up at him with slowly-flushing cheeks. “I couldn’t stop staring at you in the mirror,” a confession. “You’ve been staying consistent with your workouts, right? It’s been paying off. I feel like you’ve been getting more and more ripped since the last time you got naked—which wasn’t even that long ago.”
The shower’s heat gathers in soft, cloudy clusters around them. Sejin gathers Daehyun’s hand in his. Together, they enter the shower and he tells him to be careful with his step. Water scatters over their bodies, dribbling off their limbs.
“Do you think I should turn it down a bit? It’s kinda strong,” he says, running both hands over his dampen hair.
For some strange, unknown reason, Sejin is beginning to see Daehyun in another light. He believes everything happens for a reason, or at least, most things do. Perhaps the day was symbolic to such, in a way that it attest to their commitment to one another. Their resistance against Sejin’s aunt and her husband couldn’t break their morale.
Sejin’s tethered to Daehyun. He loves him on purpose, without fault, and selflessly. It’ll kill him for it to be otherwise.
“Or.. would you—would you like me to wash your hair?” Sejin asks, gently reaching for Daehyun’s hands, while bringing his arms around the waist. “We could stay like this for a while.. if you want.”
the fragility of sejin’s heart that lays dormant in daehyun’s hands is never taken lightly. one heartbeat of a moment between them can feel like lifetimes — and although daehyun has only been around the sun a total of twenty-three years, he can almost bet that a lifetime with sejin might also feel like just a single moment. it scares him a little, to think of how short life really is, and how the allotted time the universe has given each of them to bask in the love of the other is only finite with a guaranteed eventuality. once in awhile it keeps daehyun awake at nights, nights when sejin has long fallen asleep before him and there’s nothing left to do but to switch between staring at the wings of his ceiling fan oscilate and spooning the smaller framed man and curling into him like someone is threatening to take him away.
sometimes life does feel like it is trying to take him away — not in actuality, but in the minor subtexts of people like sejin’s aunt and uncle who can’t look past gender to find the substance underneath. to see that there’s a history between them with a foundation that’s stronger than what they have. there’s mutual love and respect that isn’t binary, but it’s the rest of the world that can’t look past the exterior of what they see on the surface that always leaves them being hammered back down again, again, again.
it’s not easy for either of them, but daehyun knows that sejin takes it extra hard. in the way his shoulders curve upward like a plucked bow before releasing its arrow, the stress wears sejin to the core. maybe he doesn’t always say it aloud out of concern for daehyun’s own well-being, and maybe because he’s got an extra 365 days to his name and is trying to be a good boyfriend about these things, but daehyun has learned far too much about sejin from the inside out to know when things aren’t okay. he knows when the time to speak up is, or when it’s time to call things quits and talk him out of his catatrophizing.
daehyun has learned a number of things about sejin, and one of the most important things he’s learned is the vitality of how much reassurance means to him. it’s not a cure all for sejin’s homophobic family, and daehyun doesn’t expect it to be, but for right now, if it can at least get the man just a little bit out of his nerves and back to the reality that is that they are still together, safe in their hotel room, away from the noise of the rest of the world, then that’s all that matters.
his gaze soon finds sejin, still evidently frazzled from his antsyness around the room. the sun was beginning to kiss the horizon goodbye through the window, and daehyun thinks that the view he has from here, watching the dark head of hair busy himself with their shoes and his coat is still better. golden hour ends with its final moments kissing sejin’s skin through the window that daehyun watches intently. he hums at the words that come out of his boyfriend’s mouth but can’t find an answer to, lost just enough in the moment of admiration that a response would disturb the sublimity of the moment. he wishes he could bathe in it.
he’s only awoken by his own daydreaming by the actual star of his dream plopping down beside him, the memory foam moving only slightly. “i am,” daehyun agrees with a smile, not a sliver of guilt to be found as he continues to keep his coat on and limbs widely stretched from the floor to almost reaching the pillows at the other end. one arm snakes over to find sejin’s hair and mindlessly caresses his crown. his fingers are gentle as they comb through the black tressels that have sprawled around sejin’s face. the sun is gone now, but sejin still looks divine.
“yeah, we did,” daehyun turns himself to lay on his side to meet sejin’s gaze again, this time up close and without any need to look elsewhere. this is his world in front of him — a world he never wants to lose. “i know it… really hurts you a lot. it hurts me that it hurts you.” he uses his arm to pull sejin closer; even if he’s still got his outside clothes on, it’s his proximity to sejin now that takes priority. what used to be a physical craving has over time turned into something of a necessity, a physical bond between them that makes daehyun want to collapse into his being again, again, and again. it’s almost nauseating. he could lay here forever and watch sejin’s blackened irises stare back at him, watch as they eventually succumb to the shyness of feeling so on the spot by daehyun’s smiles and caresses that they eventually find something else in the room to find nowhere near as fascinating. “you don’t need to thank me, honestly. i love you too much to ever let you go through that alone.”
and there he drops the l word for now what feels like both the millionth time and the first. by now it’s become second nature, but it’s also become something so sacred when spoken aloud in these intimate moments that he swears the world takes one breath out when he does. he’ll say it to sejin another million times but knows each one will always feel better than the last. a mobius strip to demonstrate his eternal love.
when sejin beckons him to shower, he can’t oblige. daehyun play whines for the male to let them shower together until he gets his way, spotaneously finding the energy to discard both his outside coat and all of his clothing onto the chair beside their bed that has become his informal clothing rack for the evening. there’s excitement and gumption that sparks a fire in him now, perhaps due to the day’s earlier events that only empowered daehyun to want to build an even brighter future with sejin. he teasingly plays with the hem of his boyfriend’s shirt in the bathroom as they wait for their shower water to heat up, wrapping his arms around his tiny waist and peering at their reflections in the mirror.
“your family is stupid,” daehyun says after some time, breaking the comfortable silence that formed whilst cutting through the earlier feelings of the day that still linger in the air but quickly dissipating. he hooks his chin over sejin’s bony shoulder and squeezes his hips. “do they really think i could look at you, being you, and the way you looked today —“ his lips find their way to the dip between sejin’s neck and collarbone, “— and expect me to, like, not be totally enamored with you?”
