"They're scouting..." Tandem hissed under his breath as the trio kept their backs turned toward the MT units patrolling the nearby streets.

Flames were already lapping at Primam's palm as her other arm went around Lunafreya's shoulders to keep her shielded with her own body. Like her brother, her brow was knit together in both concern and apprehension for the situation they found themselves in. This was just another hiccup in their journey toward Duscae...hopefully not a large one.

"No magic," Tandem said, having glanced at the warm glow that nestled within his sister's hand. She cast him an annoyed look, clearly somewhat on edge given the recent history of Insomnia falling to Niflheim's infiltration. However, she huffed a silent sigh, closing her fist and extinguishing the flame.

"Should it come to combat, know that I am not useless," Lunafreya uttered, keeping her voice low so as not to draw attention to them.

"You're telling me you got proper combat training in that gilded prison of yours?" Tandem breathed, clearly doubting the Lady Oracle's claim. "If it comes to combat, Prim will keep you covered. I'll handle taking out any of the MTs. Leave it to the Arms of the King. You're too valuable for any mistakes to be made."

Lunafreya tensed, keeping quiet despite the offense she felt. Of course they would be ignorant to anything other than her being a political prisoner. But she leaned into Primam, nodding. Were anything to derail her from beseeching the Astrals' aid in Noctis' journey as the True King...then everything really would fall to ruin.

always the worst when i'm hyperfocusing on a game bc instead of drawing and thinking about it i can simply play the game. like i can only watch a show so many times, but i can sink 100+ hours into a game before i run out of things i want to do

Since this blog has accrued more than 2 followers for some reason, I figured I should make a slightly more official introduction post!

Any time a post says #mod: mae, that is my fault and I apologize. My interests include Ignis, Ignis, and sometimes other things that are not Ignis, like Ardyn. Yes Ardnis/Igdyn is my favorite ship. No it doesn't have organic chemistry. But it has two fancy gentlemen in it, and that's really all that matters.

You can try talking to me, but I guarantee no results. I do not check my messages frequently. Nova is the friendly, social (and very pretty) one between the two of us. I was also going to make mods for FFXV, but my most recent attempts (new dress for avatara & Ravus in a hotdog suit) ended with BSODs, so I'm going to have to table that project until I get a sturdier computer and more practice in Blender. Someday, though.

comparisons of how i make my ffxv characters in xv's avatara versus making them in ffxiv.

avatara doesn't have a lot of...clothing and hair options, but the physical aspects of a character's appearance are generally more robust. but ffxiv definitely lets me play dress up to my heart's content.

I’ve been working on my older Iris model and I’m kind of in love with her? She’s so tall and so badass and her eyes are so pretty.

So anyway, here’s a baby Iris and a demon-hunter Iris. I imagine she’ll end up leading the Kingsglaive in my AU.

Can I ask a bit about your process for making Nova Fae and Goblin? I have this need to make my ffxv ocs but also I dont even know where to begin

Nova: For Nova, I just made a person in character creator for comrades to play with Mod Mae and slowly built up her personality and life. I find that I put in a little bit of my own personality when I make characters and Nova was no different. If you want any specific information I'm more than happy to answer! Mae: Absolutely! Thank you for asking! I encourage OCs whole-soul. For my Goblin OC, I tried to tug at the avatara sliders until I got something that was normal looking in that dorky, non-glamorous way, like someone I'd pass at the coffee shop. I love how detailed the face and body options are, even if the hair and clothing options are... slim pickings. I don't know what compelled me to take Sarah's dress and Gentiana's boots, but they stuck.

(My efforts to mod new avatara clothes began about two months ago and have as of yet proven futile.)

Writing with Nova really filled in the rest! Goblin's gimmick is that she has every opportunity to make good decisions, but is ineluctably compelled towards bad decisions, namely Ardyn. I then try to let that inform my screenshots by catching the patron saint of responsibility making sour faces at her, and also cheating Ardyn into the party so that they can stand vaguely near each other while I pine and blush and accidentally die to a havocfang.
