i feel like theres definitely something there about how armin's eyes are sky blue and eren's eyes are ocean green bear with me here

eren's recurring perceptions of freedom include blue skies, birds, and white clouds, while armin's is him finally seeing the sea. also how eren's eyes start out ocean blue and turn more and more green as the series progresses, its like armin can't see the freedom behind his eyes because eren's just a slave to it by that point. i think platonic or not theres a lot to be said about the fact that they view the other as freedom, eyes are the windows to the soul, aot loves showing eyes to convey deeper meanings, they should have kissed in the finale, blahblahblah yall get my point i dont think i worded this well

Now I'm curious (because I see this 100% happening at least ONCE within the world I'm writing and I think it's hilarious)--

Imagine you're a worshipper of this one amazing goddess who can do no wrong, helps and has helped a lot of people. Then, one day, you're living your life and you meet this one guy. He's absolutely covered in scars, looks like he grew up in some kind of penitentiary. And he's buff. Like, seriously buff. Built like a horse.

He introduces himself.

He shares his name with one of your goddess's old angels. This one guy used to be one of her top guys, one of her most powerful attendants... up until the day he attacked her.

Then he was cursed and cast down for his crimes.

actually let’s back up for a second. pretty weird and sad that young me internalized this idea that people getting crushes on her was like, indicative that people wanted something very specific from her that she probably could not deliver, were idealizing her, would try to manipulate her, that in order to like her they must have stepped away from reality or were only seeing her body or had put her on a pedestal, etc etc etc. pretty sad that she was so convinced no one could actually love her and that she would so inevitably disappoint sooner or later that it was not worth it to even try. now. where on earth did THAT come from. you ask. well don’t because it’s not your business and i shan’t be getting into it. i’m being vulnerable enough here just realizing this on such a public platform.
