If you compare the two royal siblings, they both have a quote about fighting for their country. The Lythos based characters have a quote referring to the Divine Dragon instead. The theme of flowers present in both character's battle quotes as well as a reference to a personal interest, tea and working out. If compared to the Lythos characters, their quotes tend to refer to being underestimated instead.

Boucheron and Etie share 'scatter like petals' as critical quotes with their liege. This is a reference to the Firenze love of beauty and flowers. Chloe and Louis share 'it's tea time' as critical quotes with their liege. This is a reference to their enjoyment of tea parties.

Boucheron and Etie do not have a defeated enemy quote that completely matches their liege but they all do reference working out. 

'You were beautiful while you lasted,' is the defeated enemy quote shared by Chloe, Louis and their liege. These two quotes are references to the Firenze appreciation of beauty.

Another theme is mercy and manners. If you ignore Alfred and English language Etie, they all have quotes containing apologies.

Jean's quotes have references to his training to be a doctor.
