Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic: Six Flags Holland

Ok so this is a very expansive and sprawling park, yet nothing is filled in, the rides are so far apart from each other that there’s a ton of land to fill in. The objective isn’t hard, like the other parks, but it did take me 27 game years to finish this park. I also decided at the beginning that I wasn’t going to buy any land, there’s a ton of land for sale but there’s not enough types of rides to fill in that much space.

I started by reconstructing the entire park from the ground up, all of the pathways needed to be changed, a lot of rides needed to be moved. I started by completely reimagining the entrance and working it into the lakeside to the east, keeping the town/building theme but scaling it to RCT, adding lots of trees and bushes. Next to the entrance I added a version of Xpress, but made as a corkscrew coaster.

I built a second railroad, both railroads go in counter clockwise circles around their respective halves of the park. The area with the boomerang got remade, to be closer to the carousel and the now larger food court. The entire promenade up to the Ferris wheel has been redone, now leading up to an observation tower. The Ferris wheel has been moved to the lakeside. The area around the space shot and enterprise has changed, now a boardwalk following the train tracks. Condors layout has changed slightly, the area around condor and Goliath has changed, many more courtyards and plazas added. The area between Crazy River and Flying Dutchman has been turned into one large western themed area, including the swinging ship, which is now been moved, the lake being occupied by a Splash Falls. There is an Area 51 type area in the back corner, with a tiny launched giga (Lost Gravity) wedged into the very small corner. I wanted to challenge myself and see if I could create a coaster in that tiny space.

The entire area around Robin Hood has changed, there is now an entire castle themed area inside Robin Hood’s layout, where the graviton and haunted house have been moved to. It is a dead end, but guests don’t get lost. The largest coaster in the park is now a B&M hyper named Drako, a double out and back coaster that crosses the lake at the back of the park. It’s blood red and 6,178 feet long, with speeds of 75mph. There is a launched giga over the rapids ride, which became bigger and more twisted than I anticipated. Also a pirate themed floorless coaster on the lake with 8 inversions.

All in all this park was not hard, but was a matter of blending areas from the original park and using them to accentuate the newer rides. This is the final park I’m doing from this series, I have no interest in the time twister parks, I think the scenery in them is ugly. I’ve had thoughts for years of doing a ‘revisited’ series, but that’s for the future. All in all I finished Six Flags Hollands with 45 rides including 14 coasters.

Thinkem bout a modern AU where Ace and Sabo obviously being two or three years older in school, were experiencing things years before Luffy would. Things like prom, grad and all that. But because he could COME to these events they did their best to get him envolved as much as possible so he wouldn’t feel left out. And when years rolled around, Ace and Sabo are well into collage each on different sides of the country. They still come down to help pick out an outfit for him and be there for his graduation. After all he was there for them.

Luffy manages to graduate by the skin of his teeth and a LOT of work from all of the east blue gang. No teacher thought he would make it and it really was a moment of celebration. And as Luffy takes that paper thingy, and looks over the crowd. He thinks if only for a moment, no one is there. Gramps is Busy, Makino is running the bar, Dadan and the others of the Share house all have jobs they gotta go to.

Then all of a sudden he hears the loudest cheers in an almost quiet room. And there are his brothers, Dadan trying to wrestle them down and Makino laughing with Woop Slap. His brothers from schools hours away. His brothers who are in collage and following there dreams. His brothers are here just like they promised three years ago when they graduated. Completely forgetting to thank the teacher, he runs down the steps and Usopp has to stop him from going to them right away since there were still other students. So the rest of the ceremony he’s sitting on his chair like he’s going to explode quietly whispering to all them “ My brothers are here!! They made it!!” And all of them can’t even be mad cause Luffy deserves it for all the effort he puts in

the interesting thing about we are is that i believe it's the first bl i've ever seen that truly has one main character. there is a reason why phuwin is the most overworked of them all and why he jokingly complained about the fact that pond wasn't suffering nearly as much as he was, even though he is his on-screen partner. and there is a reason why phuwin said that peem is also the audience in a way because he kind of gets to witness and react to almost everything that happens in the series.

the world of we are is built around peem: it's him and his boyfriend and his best friend and his best friend's boyfriend and the rest of his friends and also his boyfriend's friends. even the things that are seemingly not connected to peem in a particularly direct way are still somehow influenced by him or perceived by him, e.g. tanfang happens because phum agrees to help tan hit on fang in return for meeting up with peem, and then when tan spills the beans about them dating, peem's reaction is centered slightly more than anyone else's, even though there are people who are closer to fang and similarly close to tan in that scene. and though we get insight into phum's life too, for instance, that still somehow circles back to peem, e.g. most phumfang scenes are them literally discussing peem or talking about their parents, which still comes back to phumpeem, as phum's family problems have a huge effect on the boys' relationship.

peem is the sun of the show, and the rest are planets revolving around him or moons of the planets revolving around him in one way or another.

Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic: Six Flags Belgium

The strangest and most bizarrely laid out park yet of the Six Flags parks. The objective was easy, just continue advertising and marketing and you’ll have the amount in no time. The part I’ve never realized about this scenario is that the entire left side of the map is for sale (and parts of the right side) but it’s 100$ per square….which made this take a very very very long time.

The most major change through the entire park is the path layout. There’s no need for every path to be 4-5 tiles wide, so I’ve shrunk them all down to 2-3 wide. I’ve also reduced the amount of paths. The entrance section is condensed, less paths. Carousel moved, food added, courtyard in front of train station. Vampire was moved between the entrance and the river, an out and back B&M is in place where vampire used to be. Cobra is in the same place, magic carpet was moved, a mini giga coaster was build over and adjacent to the rapids, a skyride and walking tunnel was built across the lake. A new railway station was added on the west side of the lake. Turbine and flash back are untouched, but the railway and pathway surrounding the flume have been adjusted, allowing room for a massive double launch giga coaster to circle the peninsula.

The entire profile of the east side of the park has changed, the area around the top spin and enterprise has changed, the scrambler and swinging ship were moved to this area too, creating a garden area with a few flat rides and the Cheshire cats. The corkscrew, loop garou, and calamity mines layouts were adjusted, the area around the Ferris wheel was flipped, the pond replaced with a skyride station.

In the new land in the west includes 7 new coasters, 4 of them being B&M coasters (twister, floorless, mini hyper, flying) also includes an air launch coaster that returns through a dark ride. This whole area is lightly themed to a Lost Forest. The back corner feels a bit messy with 3 huge coasters next to each other, each with different themes, but I get tired of flat areas.

All in all this park was super long but very productive, it’s year 33 so that tells you how long it took to buy the land, which I won’t be doing for Holland. I’d say about 70% of this park is perfect in my mind. I’m very happy with it. I finished with 48 rides including 18 coasters.
