I was watching Calliope's episode again and I understand more and more why Morpheus loved her.

She is indeed powerful. I'm not referring to magical power or her being a goddess, but she is a POWERFUL WOMAN.

something weird i like about the relationship between the sandman universe comics vs tv shows are that even though they came out about like ~40ish years apart from each other they dont really seem to change that much (well for the sandman not so much dbd) they still take place in the same year they come out

like comics edwin and charles met in 1990 because the first time they appear was in 1990, and later the dbd comics came out in 2014-15 so the comics are set in 2014-15, so theyve been friends for about 20 years, vs the show that takes place 2024 or 10 years after the spinoff comics, where they met 1989 so now theyve been friends for 30 years

as for sandman the comics were first published in like 1987 and time moves in universe as each new volume is published. like theyll talk about smth that happened in the first volume and refer to it how ever many years its been since its been published

like time moves with the adaptations if that makes sense? idk i think its neat

Finally, he thinks, as Dream kisses him passionately, hands holding his cheeks close. He opens his mouth, tongues sliding together.

He tastes- He tastes like- What does he taste like? Rain? A forest? An aged book? Blast. How come book characters always know what a person tastes like? See, this was why I was never a poet. It’s okay though. Maybe Shakespeare turned his head but look who’s holding him now? Ha you-

“Have you gotten lost Hob Gadling?” The voice of his stranger gets him out of his thoughts. He’s about to make an excuse when he sees the look on his lover’s face. It’s incredibly soft and fond. The corners of his mouth are lifted almost as if he’s amused by Hob’s daydreaming.

“Oh bugger off.” Hob says as he captures Dreams lips again.

watched the first ep of Dead Boy Detectives today, did anyone also think the dialogue was a bit clunky?

I don't mean it was unwatchable or anything i just feel like it didn't feel realistic the way they introduced the characters and world... It felt like the dialogue was for the viewer instead of an in character thing. We were gonna be introduced to a viewer surrogate within the first few minutes, there was no need to have the characters who already know how the show's world works spell it out for nobody... and then explain it again when Crystal showed up? idk it felt like something I would write (not a complient) 😅

The fact that we keep calling it the "sleep paralysis demon" when it's just Dream of the Endless having a look whether or not you're still sleeping! The man is just doing his job! That's slander!

Sort of amused by the fact that whenever business would get slow in the White Horse, Dream would subtly inspire travelers to go there by plaguing their dreams until they visited.

Can't let it close down before his annual little meeting, now can he? And then he's gone for just a little while and of course it closes down, immediately. Thankfully Hob took care of that this time around, before Dream could fall into true despair ™.

Funniest part about having an hyperfixafion on Sandman so far is the multiple instances of me waking up in the middle of the night half delirious(ha) and saying some variation of 'what the fuck is that about??' into the darkness of my room after an out of pocket dream as if the man has personal beef with me or something
