It's been in the works for a while behind the scenes, but now that I've made a poster, I can finally announce:
Tumblr media
I'm having my first solo exhibition! It's a mix of paintings, film photography prints, and various other artworks of mine, at a local café. And of course it's to celebrate me turning 30, so the opening night is basically my version of a birthday party (there will of course be cake).
I doubt many folk on here will be close enough to go check it out (if you are, pls feel free!), but regardless I'm proud of it, so here it is.
& some other social-media-friendly versions of the poster, because I'm also proud of figuring out how Canva works and putting them together:

Pretty much all the pieces will also be available to buy at/after the exhibition, so even if you can't make it in person you're welcome to enquire about them. I may also draw up a price sheet and/or put the remainders on my ko-fi shop later too.

One thing that's mildly annoying to me is that literally every event raising money for Palestine near me is a physical activity. mostly sponsored walks, but there's some other stuff in there too, and literally none of them I can do. Another thing I never really thought about before my back was as fucked as it is now, but it just sucks so much that even stuff like this isn't necessarily accessible

Introduction
In the vibrant city of Jaipur, known for its rich culture and historical landmarks, exhibitions play a significant role in showcasing art, crafts, and businesses. But who are the masterminds behind these grand events? Let’s dive into the world of an exhibition organiser in Jaipur and uncover the pivotal role they play in making these events a success.
Understanding the Role of an Exhibition Organiser
An exhibition organiser in Jaipur is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing exhibitions that captivate and engage attendees. Their role is multifaceted and involves several key tasks:
1. Planning and Strategy
Before the curtains rise, an exhibition organiser meticulously plans the event. This includes:
Conceptualizing Themes: Creating a theme that aligns with the objectives of the exhibition.
Budget Management: Allocating resources efficiently to ensure the event remains within budget.
Venue Selection: Choosing the perfect venue that complements the theme and can accommodate the expected number of attendees.
2. Vendor Coordination
Coordinating with various vendors is a crucial aspect of an organiser’s role. This involves:
Vendor Sourcing: Finding reliable vendors for catering, decorations, lighting, and more.
Contract Negotiation: Ensuring the best deals and terms with vendors to maintain quality and cost-effectiveness.
Logistics Management: Overseeing the setup and dismantling processes to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
3. Marketing and Promotion
To ensure a successful exhibition, organisers like Ground Zero Event focus on robust marketing strategies:
Digital Marketing: Utilizing social media, email campaigns, and websites to attract a larger audience.
Print Media: Engaging in traditional marketing methods like flyers, posters, and advertisements in local newspapers.
Networking: Leveraging connections with local businesses and influencers to spread the word.
4. On-site Management
During the event, an exhibition organiser is the anchor holding everything together:
Guest Management: Welcoming and assisting guests, ensuring their needs are met.
Problem-solving: Addressing any issues that arise promptly and efficiently.
Event Flow Coordination: Ensuring that the event proceeds as planned, maintaining a seamless experience for attendees.
5. Post-Event Activities
The role of an organizer doesn’t end when the event does. Post-event activities include:
Feedback Collection: Gathering feedback from attendees and participants to assess the event’s success.
Performance Analysis: Analyzing key metrics to evaluate the event’s impact and areas for improvement.
Report Generation: Creating detailed reports to present to stakeholders, summarizing the event’s achievements and challenges.

had a colleague say in a meeting today that they couldn’t speak or comment on whether they preferred the grade system and feedback system in teams or the one in this other platform we use because they aren’t aware of all the functions on teams and they need proper training. Tell me you haven’t made a single effort to explore the options available to you on the platform your workplace uses. how many years have u worked here? 20? and you’ve been using Teams for how long? five years ? and you’re telling me you don’t have any knowledge of the gradebook or assignment functions in teams?! are you listening to yourself? I’ve been here all of what? 10 months and I’m more proficient in teams than you? you do realise you are within your right to make a couple exploratory clicks, right you are allowed to figure out how things work for yourself. You don’t need big daddy administration to tell you exactly how to do Absolutely everything. and Google is free.
