life update - long
It took me a hot minute to find the last update. December, I guess? I'm so tired I never stop being tired and time is not real anymore. Anyway. Disability Stuff: I won my case in federal court in February. They said it'd take a year so I was a little hm. Found out the SSA voluntarily asked the judge for the remand because the written decision was indefensible and they were gonna take another look. Pros: Hey, I won! I get a second hearing! Cons: I didn't get a brief written by the federal law firm because there was no time. This is actually a tactic used by the SSA. I have no doubt they're fine tuning another denial. I also have to wait for the lower level court to figure out what was so bad about it (that they'd already ruled was perfect) to give to the judge I will have another hearing with. The same judge. Who said I was a liar multiple times and omitted eight months of medical evidence and said mental health issues are subjective hahaha. I hate this country. Health: Boy howdy it's been better and worse. I had the tilt table test in late December, went... ok enough, but my neuro didn't like how ambiguous the report was and sent me back to them to speak to an autonomic disorder specialist. Scheduled in Jan, just had my appt with her this month lol she is busy. She ordered: genetics test, labs, and skin biopsy. I've done the first two, third is scheduled in July and I'm gonna be a mess because needles u_u Brain stuff is much of the same. Episodic. Manageable times are a godsend, bad times are really bad. My heart started to do some funky ass shit a few months ago. My mom kept writing it off as anxiety no matter how much I explained that it felt like my heart was pounding after exercise. My BP and pulse shot up high for a while and b/c my pulse never came back down and it was interfering with, you know, living, my PCP sent me to cardiology. :') Cause I wanted my heart involved in this mess One 24hr holter monitor, echo, and heart ultrasound later, and I have a new heart condition. He said 'your heart is beating so fast you would normally see it with exercise' bada boom baby and has nothing to do with fucking ANXIETY >:[ I'm on heart medication. 10 meds. I need to start another med for my psych but that's 11 and I'm honestly getting upset because it's so fucking much medication in one day but every single one of them is necessary so what can really I do? Personal: Relationship with my mom is at an all time low. This is extremely unfortunate because a few weeks ago, my mom told me she is basically being 'laid off' (she's not losing her job for a while, just retiring earlier than expected) and I have to leave my home of 10 years by mid-August. Got no sympathy from her about it *finger guns* I've gone through the devastation of that and am kind of just stuck in how is any of that gonna work. My brother and I can't live together, so he's gonna move into a family friend's rental. Except he has no job and hasn't been able to get one in months. He started one on Monday, is gonna leave by Friday because it's horrific ig. Anyway my mom promises he won't be there. We have to move based on my disabilities and my mom's house is gonna have to reflect what we have here. I'll see it when I believe it. I don't trust her anymore. Extra unfortunate that I'm gonna be living 24/7 with my mother who has been an abusive person in my life the past two years. The short break thru the day that my apartment is just mine, quiet and gentle, is gonna be gone. I'll be introducing my solitary 11 year old cat Lilly into a house with 3 other cats. She only knew Isis her entire life. She was just diagnosed with neuro issues this year after going through an MRI. We don't know if she has seizure activity or if it's movement disorder, but the med she's on treats both and she has gotten better. Same process Isis went through. Cannot believe I have two cats with neuro issues and likely the same one. May 18th was one year since Isis passed. Rough, tiring day.
I don't know how it has been that long. Feels like it just happened. I can still see her and feel her through my apartment and losing it in August will probably shatter me most because of losing the last place she existed in. I miss her more than I can say.
She was my little soulmate and her absence is felt in every corner here. Writing/Fandom:
I went through a whole fucking situation over in the Stranger Things fandom that has left me not wanting to post anymore. Idk if neuro shit has destroyed my ability to write but it's humiliating and painful every time I post a fic.
I posted stucky (1 out of 2 fics this year) on my main acct and lost 8 fuckin user subs? Like goddamn. What'd stucky do 😭 anyway it was even more devastating and kinda like 'here's your big ass sign to keep your writing to yourself.'
Between the god awful shit that happened in the ST fandom and my inability to put together even a good one shot, I'm feeling really down about one of two creative things I can do in my life. I used to love sharing my stuff. I want to write and share but it feels like it's harming my MH. I can't draw or paint right now, either. And I can barely move around my apartment without pain. I can't even leave it except for doctor appointments.
Idk. Very walls are closing in type of feeling and I hate it. In short: I'm tired, struggling, and too many things are happening at once. I love you all 😩💜 thank you for your patience and love and kind words. Your support is felt through one update to the next. I hope you're all well and I'm sending all my love and hugs to you.

I have a suspicion that Dr.’s just like telling patients to not do whatever the patient already knows helps.
Before I got a POTS diagnosis, my PCP (who later had to look up what POTS was) kept telling me to eat less salt and exercise more. A cardiologist told me the same thing after hearing my family history of high cholesterol and BP. The cardiologist misread my heart monitor results. All this time I was eating salt packets and drinking ungodly amounts of sports drink, which I was told not to do. Shocker, I’ve had POTS the whole time and salt and graduated activity is the recommended course of action for symptom management.

*Screaming into the void*
I saw a US doctor today for treatment of chronic physical health issues. I couldn't see my PCP because even though Medicaid (which I am poor enough to qualify for) requires a PCP visit within 60 days of receiving coverage, my PCP is booked solid for more than 2 months out.
The good news first: This was the greatest amount of time I have ever had the full attention of a US physician on a single visit! She was in the room with me asking for context and history surrounding my physical health issues, and addressed my behavioral health history and treatment as well. I got a full 20 minutes of face-to-face in-person interaction with a Dr. (not PA, not Intern, not NP), for the first time in my life.
The bad news: I earned this truly medically beneficial experience by showing up with blood pressure high enough to warrant multiple re-tests of my BP and also an EKG, while my reported reason for visit was chronic pain, injury related pain, and involuntary muscle movements. If my BP had been normal, or even just elevated, this visit would have been a quick in-out like most. My BP was nearly in the range of what is considered "hypertensive crisis" which requires immediate medical attention. 168/120
I have had high blood pressure readings at every doctor visit since my mid 20's. I'm 34 now, and after being written off year after year as having "white coat hypertension", generalized anxiety, and being considered "borderline" for high blood pressure (you're too young for medication intervention), I was finally unhealthy enough to get taken seriously.
I left the visit with a lot of faith in the doctor that treated me, for doing the necessary work to get my health history, circumstances of my life, and a broader understanding of what is going on with me. I did not leave with a prescription for blood pressure medication. I was told to improve diet and increase exercise, no alcohol, limit salt, no smoking (I don't). Monitor your BP at home with a cuff (tonight's reading was 160/106) and bring data to your next visit and we can maybe treat the condition that had us (the medical practice) most concerned.
I got a referral for 2 different forms of physical therapy, and an X-ray of my cervical spine. She cautioned to avoid using NSAID painkillers due to a risk of worsening my gastrointestinal issues, and didn't prescribe anything to manage the pain I booked the visit for, which is usual in my experience receiving US healthcare.
I can go on and on, and probably would if I wasn't getting tired, but in addition to trying to monitor and control my blood pressure, manage my IBD and pelvic floor dysfunction, and behavioral health conditions, I need to find providers that my insurance will cover for physical therapy visits and doctor appointments. I need to find employment, to pay for my healthcare expenses, assuming I'm healthy enough to work. If I work full-time or make more than $13/hr, I will make too much money to qualify for Medicaid.
It feels like quicksand. I might actually die of a heart attack if I can't solve all of these issues on my own. There is no social safety net in the US.
*yes, I probably do have "white coat hypertension" and it is a real thing for people with behavioral health issues like anxiety. I have also gone to a hospital for help with acute pain and been told "there's nothing wrong with you, here's your ER bill" as well as being taken to a hospital only to have my clothes forcibly stripped by 6 police/security officers when asked to change into a gown.
**Yes, a full-time job can and often does provide healthcare benefits and coverage, but that assumes I am able to make it through the 90-day period of being a new-hire without benefits, without missing work, even for health related issues. Absenteeism is a death sentence in employment, even when you do take time off to manage your health with unpaid time off or call-ins.
***I am without a college degree, and right now a majority of the vacancies in the US workforce are labor intensive or have labor demands (standing the whole shift, ability to lift repeatedly or bend and twist). Without a degree, I have yet to attain an interview for any job that offers you a seat and a computer/desk. My pain issues and hypertension have narrowed my job search focus to jobs of this kind, I'll post again if I find a role, but don't hold your breath.
*All attempts to escape poverty will be punished with withdrawal of support systems* It’s the American way.

Hypertension: Risks, Symptoms, Complications And Prevention Tips
Hypertension, often referred to as high blood pressure, is a chronic condition where the force of blood against your artery walls is consistently too high. This silent killer, as it's often called, can damage your blood vessels over time and increase your risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney disease. We have compiled all the information that you must know regarding hypertension so that you can take necessary precautions and consult a doctor timely in case the symptoms turn severe. Continue reading the blog till the end as we have also added expert tips to manage and prevent hypertension shared by our experienced cardiologist in Gurugram.
Synopsis
Understanding Blood Pressure
Causes of Hypertension
Symptoms of Hypertension
Complications of Hypertension
Prevention and Management
Conclusion
Understanding Blood Pressure
Blood pressure is measured in two numbers:
Systolic pressure: The top number, indicates the pressure when your heart beats.
Diastolic pressure: The bottom number, represents the pressure when your heart rests between beats.
A blood pressure (BP) reading of 120/80 mmHg or lower is considered normal. Hypertension is diagnosed when your blood pressure consistently measures above 130/80 mmHg.
Causes of Hypertension
While the exact cause of primary hypertension (the most common type) is unknown, several factors contribute to its development: The reason of high blood pressure may include:
Age: The risk of hypertension increases with age.
Family history: A family history of high blood pressure can elevate your risk.
Obesity: Excess weight puts added strain on your heart and blood vessels.
Lack of physical activity: Regular exercise helps lower blood pressure.
Diet: High intake of sodium and low potassium intake can contribute to hypertension.
Smoking: Smoking damages blood vessels and elevates blood pressure.
Stress: Chronic stress can elevate blood pressure.
Chronic conditions: Conditions like kidney disease, sleep apnea, and diabetes can increase the risk.
Symptoms of Hypertension
The insidious nature of hypertension is often referred to as the "silent killer" because it often doesn't cause noticeable blood pressure too high symptoms in its early stages. However, some people may experience:
Headaches
Dizziness
Shortness of breath
Nosebleeds
Fatigue
Consult our cardiologist in Gurugram if you are experiencing the above high blood pressure symptoms.
Complications of Hypertension
Uncontrolled hypertension can lead to serious health issues, including:
Heart attack
Stroke
Heart failure
Kidney damage
Vision problems
Prevention and Management
While there's no cure for hypertension, several lifestyle changes and medical interventions can help manage it effectively:
Healthy diet: Reduce sodium intake, increase potassium-rich foods, and focus on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.
Regular exercise: Set a goal for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week.
Weight management: Losing even a small amount of weight can significantly lower blood pressure.
Limit alcohol and caffeine: Excessive consumption can elevate blood pressure.
Quit smoking: Smoking damages blood vessels and increases blood pressure.
Manage stress: Practice relaxation techniques such as meditation or yoga.
Medication: If lifestyle changes aren't enough, your doctor may prescribe blood pressure medication.
Regular blood pressure checks are essential for monitoring and managing hypertension. By adopting healthy habits and working closely with your healthcare provider, you can effectively control your blood pressure and reduce your risk of serious complications.
Consult our cardiology hospital in Gurugram if you need treatment for high blood pressure disease.
Conclusion
Hypertension is a manageable condition. With proper care and lifestyle modifications, you can lead a healthy and fulfilling life. Managing heart health is a priority for many, especially those diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AFib). At MY Healthstyle, we understand the importance of reliable and accurate tools to monitor your condition. That’s why an Atrial fibrillation blood pressure monitor is more than just a device; it’s a lifeline for maintaining optimal health and preventing complications.
In this article, we’ll cover everything you need to know about AFib, how blood pressure monitors can detect it, and tips for choosing the right monitor.
Understanding Atrial Fibrillation
Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is an irregular and often rapid heart rhythm that can lead to blood clots, stroke, and heart failure. With symptoms ranging from palpitations to fatigue and shortness of breath, it’s vital to monitor your heart regularly to prevent severe complications.
The Link Between AFib and Blood Pressure
Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a major risk factor for AFib. Monitoring both your heart rhythm and blood pressure helps detect irregularities early, enabling timely medical intervention.
How Blood Pressure Monitors Help Detect AFib
Modern blood pressure monitors are equipped with advanced algorithms to identify irregular heartbeats associated with atrial fibrillation. These devices do more than just measure systolic and diastolic pressure—they offer real-time insights into your cardiovascular health.
Key Features of AFib-Detecting Blood Pressure Monitors

5 Tips for Reducing Cholesterol Without Medication
This article is originally published on Freedom from Diabetes website, available here. Cholesterol is a waxy-textured substance produced by the body to perform many essential functions, for instance: to make cell membranes, produce certain hormones, and Vitamin D. But like so many good things, cholesterol too is harmful in excess.
There are two types of Cholesterol
High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) and 2. Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL).
HDL is called as a good cholesterol because it carries cholesterol to your liver, where it is removed as waste before it can build up in your body.
LDL carries cholesterol directly to your arteries, where it accumulates and forms hard deposits on arterial walls, hardening and narrowing the arteries, hence its description as “bad” cholesterol.
Natural ways to reduce cholesterol
1) Maintain your diet: Unhealthy food, unhealthy diet are the main reasons of high cholesterol. High nitrites, salt, sugar, trans fats, saturated fat, animal dairy, and dairy products, these items are responsible for the rising incidences of cholesterol-related problems. The best thing you can do for your health which is healthy diet and avoid food containing saturated and trans fats.
2)Exercise: Exercise is also benefecial for lowering BP to reducing blood glucose levels. We have to do daily exercise to keep yourself healthy. Walking is also good exercise, try to add a mix of cardio, resistance, and flexibility exercises into your routine. There are other exercise also good for health, jogging, swimming, dancing, running etc.
3)Lose weight:For every extra pound you carry, your body produces a couple of extra milligrams of cholesterol. Every Day! Being overweight affects the way your body produces and uses lipoproteins and triglycerides. Triglycerides are a lipid (fatty substance) your body needs but only in tiny amounts.
Excessive triglycerides increase the amount of free fatty acids carried to the liver; it can make you insulin resistant (which further increases the free fatty acids in your liver) and it increases inflammation in the body, which affects the body’s ability to produce and manage good cholesterol—HDL.
Introducing healthy, nutrient-dense foods into your diet, cutting out excessively salty, sweet, and oily foods, portion control and exercise will help you reduce your body weight and improve your cholesterol levels.
4)Natural Supplements: Natural supplements include Garlic, Flax seeds, Soluble Fiber. Garlic has gastronomic feature, great cholesterol buster. If you consume garlic regularly its helpful in lower BP, and cholesterol levels. Flax seeds has cholesterol-busting properties is Omega-3 Fatty Acid, an alpha-linoleic acid (ALA) that is very good for heart health. Soluble fiber is the medium your body uses to improve its digestive function.
5)Stop Smoking: Smoking is universally known to be harmful to your health, but yet many peoples still do it. This isn't good, and it's important to stop smoking as soon as possible. And if you’re suffering from cholesterol problems, it’s worse, it hits you with a double whammy. Another negative factor is that smoking damages the blood vessel lining, which further increases the risk of heart attacks and stroke.
Cholesterol is both good and bad. LDL, aka, bad cholesterol leads to arterial plaque, hardening, and narrowing of the arteries, with the risk of heart attack and stroke. HDL, aka, good cholesterol is carried to the liver where it is processed and removed from the blood. The body produces sufficient cholesterol for its own needs. When we adopt unhealthy lifestyle habits—unhealthy diets, insufficient exercise, ignoring stress—we raise cholesterol levels in our own bodies. To read more about this, please visit our Article. Chronic Kidney Disease Treatment: Exploring Alternatives for Kidney Problem Medication
Renal failure, often referred to as end-stage kidney disorder (ESRD), is a severe medical condition where the kidneys cease to function efficiently. In most cases, dialysis or kidney transplant is required in order to treat ESRD. For many patients, alternative treatment options like kidney failure treatment without dialysis are effective in managing the symptoms of renal disease and enhancing quality of life.
Non-Dialysis Treatments for Kidney Failure
Homeopathy provides a non-dialysis kidney problem medication. It concentrates on managing symptoms and reducing the progression of disease. The treatments offered include homeopathic medication management, lifestyle adjustments as well as alternative treatments.
Dietary modifications: Diet plays a significantly important role in managing the symptoms of renal failure. To decrease the kidneys ' load, patients are usually advised to stick to low sodium as well as a low-potassium and low-phosphorus diet. In addition, protein intake could be reduced to reduce the amount of waste products the kidneys have to filter. A proper hydration regimen is vital, but the amount of fluid consumed must be regulated to prevent over-stress in the kidneys.
Lifestyle changes: Lifestyle adjustments that include maintaining and managing an appropriate weight, not smoking, regular physical exercise and drinking excessively could have a significant impact on the health of your kidneys. These modifications can help regulate blood sugar and blood pressure levels, which can prevent further damage to kidneys.
Chronic Kidney Disease Treatment
The chronic kidney disorder (CKD) is an illness that progresses in severity and is characterised by the gradual decline in kidney functions with time. Early diagnosis and detection of chronic renal disease and chronic kidney disease treatment that is appropriate can slow the progression of the disease and avoid complications.
BP and managing diabetes levels are similar to renal impairment; controlling CKD is about the control of blood pressure and sugar levels.
Dietary Nutrition: Dietary nutritional plays an important role in CKD treatment. A kidney-friendly diet consists of limiting sodium as well as potassium, phosphorus, and sodium intake. Patients are advised to consume fruits vegetables, legumes as well as lean proteins as well as whole grain. The monitoring of protein intake is vital since excessive protein may cause kidney damage.
Regularly scheduled check-ups and monitoring are vital in CKD patients. Tests for urine, blood tests and imaging studies can help monitor the progression of renal disease and alter treatment plans as needed.
Lifestyle modifications: Keeping and managing a healthy life that includes regular exercise, quitting smoking, and weight control is essential in CKD patients. These lifestyle modifications can improve the overall health of renal function and lower the chance of developing cardiovascular problems that are typical in CKD patients.
High Creatinine Treatment
Creatinine is the product of waste that is generated by the metabolism of muscles and is usually removed from circulation by kidneys. Creatinine levels that are high indicate impairment of kidney function.

When you try your best and you just do it...
So far, here's how June 2024 has been going:
More talks with dad down memory lane plus what's up and what's to come. Lels. LELS. Kidding aside, sabi niya, settling and being guarded mala-guardia sibil are just not in my book pero alam niya na if mapadpad ako sa landas ng pag-settle, e hindi siya for the heck of it lang. EMS. Saka, masungit pa rin daw kasi ako kahit kailan. :p Abangan. CHZ. Booked a trip that means a dream within a dream... biking and one of the things that belong to my core memory. Mhiiiieee. What's nicer is that a good friend tailored an itinerary so I don't have to spend so much time curating things I wanna do. Bonus: This friend lived in this location for a loongg time so local na local ang vibes. Can't wait for it!!! Thinking if I'd bring Matcha ME because I really want to test its "tote-ability" in this location. HIHIHIHIHIHI. Kaya, wala ng pasavogue na kaganapan sa June dahil marami pang babayaring bills at ganaps.
Vici's management paganaps. Not missing a doc visit because mabait na po tayo ulit after two years of just letting things happen. So far, he's more oks with the meds and the supplements pero susot pa rin. LOL.
Got my pamangkin McQueen (nickname ko 'yan sa kanya na super layo sa first and second name niya) and mas may patience na ako sa mga vid calls namin. LELS. Though may specific number of minutes lang kasi nga nakaka-bored talaga lalo 'pag may pacifier siya tapos walang pake.
More walks with dad sa ngalan ng steps paganap niya. 'Di niya alam na mas madali kong ma-track galaw niya sa lahat ng aspeto more easily. HAHAHA. Nastress siya recently kasi when he calibrated his smartwatch with gingko biloba, puro high blood nakukuha niyang results. Reason: As in legit kakain lang niya ng umaatikabong kanin at ulam. Syempre, agit ako. Mas agit siya. Sabi ko, 'pag 'di pa siya tumigi kaka-check ng BP niyang skewed, pipitpitin ko ng martilyo ng pinong-pino smartwatch niya. HAHAHA. Tumigil naman after three fucking boomer tries. This made me see na nerbiyoso talaga siya kahit maangas siya. Actually, eto rin kasi reason why ayoko siya mag-smartwatch. If the numbers go fucking in, I don't know how to manage him. Pero, so far, the numbers are green. LELS. Let's keep it that way or else baka nga mapitpit ko na lang 'yung watch niya.
December this year is almost fully blocked off. LOL. First December in a looooooong time na may pake akong wagas. Saka na full details kasi marami pang mga paganaps sa dako paroon. EMS. Magpa-botox na ba ako sa clavicle para putok na putok na talaga 'tong part na 'to in time for December? Wild ng procedure na 'to kasi mga pole-thin KPop idols are doing it kaya pala parang sobrang plakado ng mga clavicle nila. HAHAHAHA. LOL. Baka and ending nito, settle na lang sa eyelash extensions para tapos na ang lahat. :D
Need na talagang mag-exercise with feelings para ma-address ang paparating na plateau. Also, binge eating and drinking milktea this week. LOL. Hindi maganda sa feeling at all. Not because I feel bloated pero testing na rin if may appetite is back. Verdict: Kaya na talaga ang OMAD-IF bilang ang ating panunaw ay aging na rin. LELS. Saka iba talaga 'pag naka-fast. Not only for the weight, but more importantly, for the gaming the mind and the psyche. However, may magandang update akong na-come across about the scope and limits of fasting. PAK. Second dad huddles. Eto siguro ang isang highlight ng buwan na 'to. Syempre, bilang boomer na keeping up with the Gen MZ, isang lesson na naman po ang naisapok sa atin which is: Hirap kasi sa generation n'yo, you postpone living the life. You postpone meeting up with your friends, your family. You postpone the things that make you truly happy. 'Yan ang problema ng generation niyo. You're too connected digitally pero 'yung in-person meetings matter a lot. May mas felt na support group. Also, nag-share ako ng mga kaganapans tungkol sa health ko. HAHAHAHHA. Ending: Listahan ng mga docs na puwede kong dulugan with checklist pa. In fairness, the list and the checklist is impressive. LOL. Me: Uhm. I'm fine. LOL. Ready na me. Magtigil-tigil daw ako sa kabaliwan ko.
As a delulu-solulu, let it be. Saka having access to my go-to geriatric nurse friend and a doc (na 'di rin nagpapacheck up unless ma-ER siya) means getting meds I need and want. LOL. Kahit swero pa 'yan, g lungs. Minus the fucking doc appointments. Let's see where this leads. But first, ipon muna akong pake. LOL. I think I'll talk about doc visits and why I fucking abhor them to death some time, too. Been to hundreds of those na e. Parang over quota na tayo this lifetime and the next.
Dividing my things in MNL and outside MNL into two kinda equal parts. LELS. Syempre, may time spent pa rin sa MNL. Ganun talaga e. Pero more, more, more time talaga this year onwards outside MNL and beyond. Hihihihi. Siguro, this is my favorite thing. Sayang naman lisensya kong card version na! Panget lang ng print and material. HAHAHAHA. Piliin natin ang Pilipinas, ang Bagong Pilipinas. Always. Getting back to driving because gala is realzzz. Saka just in case my emergency, need ko na talagang bumalik. Got my license and sana makapag-scooter na rin me sa ngalan ng bunking na pabebe. Isa-isa lang. Naisangguni ko na mga kabobohan ko sa aking designated instructor tulad ng hindi ko talaga alam anong left and right lalo pag natataranta ako. Also, 'di ko pa rin sure ano ang gas at ano ang break, so good luck. Baka eto na 'yung final destination ko. :p
Gearing up MatchaME. E paano ba naman, may nakita akong South seller na pakak ang mga tinda. LOL. Shemay lang kasi 'yung mga gusto kong munting basic upgrades, laktas ang lakas at funds. Bakit ganun? Bakiiittt?
Setting real and felt healthy boundaries in all aspects of my flow. OPAK. Isa pa 'to. Siguro dahil na rin sa mga paganaps na sadsad sa shit hole and spiral kaya eto na tayo sa don't dare step on my line because I'll no longer tolerate it. Kahit joke lang. Kahit it's not meant. I don't care because I've been too lax with keeping my space and pace. It feels good and it feels like I'm back on track na. Less sleepless nights na rin. Siguro, eto na rin 'yung unti-unting pagbalik ng grit ko from my hey days. Nauntog na ng mala-concussion levels e.
Spending more time with people who matter most. Finally, after isolation szn, nagpapakita na akong muli sa small and smaller circle ko. Syempre, always open arms naman sila bilang sanay na sila sa akin. Pero 'di ko 'to kina-career kasi nga limited time only ang patience natin.
Sending letters na usually matic unsent. Maiba naman. Enough said. Like 'yung Father's Day post ko. Sinend ko sa tatay ko. Literal iyak-tawa siya while reading. My audience of one is kagat to the max with my piece of shit. :p It feels weird, wonky, and wonderful din. Sabi ng tatay ko: Nangaano ka e. Lahat dinamay mo pati magulang ko. Father's Day tapos may pag-connect sa lahat-lahat? LOL. Sabi ko naman na maganda message ko a.
Avoiding going to my ina's house because I know that it's triggering the spiral. I missed the pa-birthday paganaps for June babies and adults with Father's Day paganaps on the side. LOL. Oks lang din sa tatay ko kasi siya rin nasasad umuwi. Sabi ko 'wag na niya akong idamay. Saka natapos ko na mission ko sa bahay ng lola ko, so, move on. Don't look back ganern. Hence, pati Xmas ganaps, ekis na. No bitterness on my end. More of, 'wag na tayo sa mga spaces na hindi nakakakalma because I deserve peace of mind naman noh.
My 4th inaanak is officially part of the adult world. May work na while waiting for the results of the exams. OPAK. E sabi ko naman, 'pag 'di siya nakapasa, oks lang. Marami pang possibilities. Marami pang time to pivot. Pero sana, kung ano mang maging verdict, e mabitbit niya 'yung lessons sa experience niya. Magpapadugo raw siya. Sabi ko no need na pero oks lang din naman Maginhawa + Ikot food crawl. LOL.
A good friend whom I reconnected with recently is making great progress. Sobrang wild netong ganaps na 'to, so let's leave it at that. Buti na lang talaga tapos na spiral szn ko or to be exact kaya may silbi na ulit akong friend kahit munti. We're inching our way and so far, my limited patience and pake are not giving up naman. Need lang talagang maging more gentle kahit monster naman talaga me. LOL. Sana, matawid namin 'to at matawid namin siya. Kapit lungs as a delulu-solulu na naman ako.
Bouncing outta MNL in a few hours to go back to something worthwhile this weekend. Sana makaidlip pa ako because rachada hanggang midnight na naman po tayo for this Sabado.

The Benefits of Stress Management: A Comprehensive Overview
Stress is an unavoidable part of life, a common experience that many of us face today. In our busy lives, filled with constant work pressures and personal life challenges, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by stress. However, too much of it can eventually hurt our well-being, impacting both our physical and mental health.
When left unmanaged, stress can lead to a variety of health issues, like high BP, heart problems, and mental health troubles, like anxiety and depression. That's why it is crucial to manage your stress levels at the earliest.
Managing stress involves more than just avoiding stressful situations; it's about developing healthy coping mechanisms. There are various techniques you can include in your lifestyle for effective stress management. There are also several natural supplements, like Ashwagandha and Melatonin, that help reduce stress and promote relaxation. Many wellness products today combine the goodness of both these supplements such as RESET Ashwagandha Melatonin Gummies.
In this blog, we'll discuss about stress and how it affects us, the benefits of stress management, and some natural supplements for stress management.
Understanding Stress
It is our natural response to any challenging or threatening situation, triggering a cascade of physiological changes in the body. It's important to recognize that not all stress is harmful; in fact, some stress can be beneficial, motivating us to perform better or alerting us to potential dangers. However, chronic or excessive stress can have harmful effects on your health.
When we're stressed, our bodies release certain hormones like cortisol, adrenaline, etc., which prepare us for the "fight or flight" response. This can make our heart race, keep us on high alert, and tense up our muscles. While this response can be beneficial in handling short term stress, if it sticks around too long, it can cause health issues.
Understanding stress involves recognizing its triggers and effects on both the mind and body. By becoming more aware of how stress impacts us, we can take proactive measures to manage it effectively.
The Role of Stress Management
Stress management is essential for maintaining our health and wellness. It includes identifying the sources of stress in our lives and taking steps to reduce or cope with them.
Some effective stress management methods include regular exercise, mindfulness meditation, getting enough sleep, using wellness products and supplements and seeking support from friends, family, or a mental health professional. These techniques can help us reduce the negative effects of stress and offer several benefits.
Benefits of Stress Management
Improved Immune Function
Chronic stress can weaken our body's immune system, making us more vulnerable to infections and illnesses. By managing it, we can strengthen our immune response and improve our overall health.
Better Sleep Quality
It can disrupt sleep patterns, leading to insomnia and other sleep disorders. By practicing stress management techniques, we can enhance our sleep quality and ultimately wake up feeling more refreshed and energized.
Reduced Risk of Heart Disease
High stress levels are often associated with a higher risk of heart disease. By managing it, we can reduce this risk and protect our heart health.
Enhanced Emotional Resilience
Stress management can help us develop emotional resilience, allowing us to cope better with challenges that life throws at us and bounce back from setbacks more easily.
Improved Digestive Health
It can negatively impact digestion, leading to issues like stomach pain, bloating, and constipation. By managing stress, we can improve our digestive health and reduce these uncomfortable symptoms.
Increased Energy Levels
Chronic stress can drain our energy and leave us feeling fatigued. By managing it, we can increase our energy levels and improve our overall sense of vitality.
Better Focus and Concentration
Stress can make it difficult for us to focus and concentrate, making it difficult to perform well at work or school. By managing it, we can improve our cognitive function and enhance our productivity.
Natural Supplements for Managing Stress
Natural supplements like Ashwagandha and Melatonin are incredibly helpful in managing stress. Ashwagandha, known for its stress-relieving properties, helps the body handle stress better by balancing cortisol levels, which are often elevated during stressful periods. This herb can create a calming effect, making it easier to relax.
Melatonin, on the other hand, is a hormone that regulates our sleep-wake cycle. Stress can disrupt this cycle, leading to sleep issues. Melatonin supplements can improves sleep quality, making it easier to manage stress.
Combining these supplements, as found in products like RESET Ashwagandha Melatonin Gummies, offers a convenient way to incorporate them into your daily routine. These supplements not only help reduce stress levels but also promote relaxation.
Final Word
Managing stress effectively is crucial to maintain good health and well-being. By incorporating stress management techniques, including the use of natural supplements like Ashwagandha Melatonin Gummies from RESET, you can reduce its harmful impact and improve your overall health. Investing in stress management is an investment in one's health and well-being. Taking proactive steps can help promote a sense of balance and harmony in your life.
