I thought about this sad scenario today so of course I have to share it ☺️

Imagine if Luke somehow defeated Kronos and survived the Titan war by whatever means you could think of. After the war Percy doesn’t automatically get kidnapped to go on another quest, so he’s able to spend Christmas with Sally and Paul. However, before Percy leaves camp he asks some of the year round campers if they would like to come with him so that they wouldn’t have to spend Christmas at camp.

Percy extends that same invitation out to Luke. Since the end of the war Luke and Percy have worked things out and have started to rebuild their friendship, but Luke is still a bit shocked by the invite.

He ends up going anyways.

When Luke sets foot in Percy’s house the first thing that he smells is the aroma of fresh baked cookies. He tries not to think too much about it. Tries not to think too much about…

Then Sally is standing in front of him, a warm smile directed at him while she offers him a fresh chocolate chip cookie. And for a split second, Sally’s dark brown hair looks more blonde. Her eyes change from deep blue to more of a pale blue. And her voice changes until it sounds familiar. Painfully familiar.

After a moment, Luke tentatively reaches out to take a cookie from the plate. A single tear running down the right side of his face as he took a bite of the cookie warm in his hand.

They tasted just like the ones his mother used to make.

So I was rewatching Kiseki ep9 (because I like to torture myself) and there is this one expression on Ai Di’s face when he’s looking down at Chen Yi. Like he had resolved not to go through with it. He was going to stop and remove himself and not cross that line, but then Chen Yi reached out to him and kisses him, really kisses him and Ai Di just breaks.

He’s never had the kind of affection and love from Chen Yi that he craves and suddenly he has it, if only for a second. He knows what he is doing is wrong, that it’s unforgivable, but oh how he wants. He knows Chen Yi is drunk. He knows he shouldn’t be doing this. He truly believes Chen Yi will hate him in the morning. Still he can’t pull himself away anymore. His resolve is gone and so he does the unthinkable and goes through with it.

The angst in that moment. Ai Di’s resolve shattering in the face of what he believes is misplaced love from Chen Yi.

The irony is I think that moment is also when Chen Yi realizes that it’s Ai Di. It’s that moment that his alcohol addled brain finally starts firing on all cylinders again and he realizes that it’s Ai Di above him, kissing him. His friend, his brother and yet all he wants to do in that moment is kiss him. He wants that love that Ai Di gives him, that he hasn’t realized he wanted until that second.

4 years in the past, Ai Di and Chen Yi managed to get to on the same page for a moment. Only they were in different books. For Ai Di, it’s an ending, a finale before he completely throws away everything he loves so much but for Chen Yi it’s an awakening, a beginning, an optimistic look into the future.

Now they aren’t on the same page but Chen Yi is desperate to get back to it and Ai Di is terrified to even consider the possiblility. All they want is each other’s love and yet they can’t seem to figure out how to get it, if they even deserve to have it.

So I have a new head canon, we all know wars has a ten step makeup routine but what about his hair? So me personally I think he not only has a fifteen step hair care routine but. He does those little mini braids because he doesn’t have his fairy with him…… and it helps comfort him knowing that he has something from home…

i’ll be honest, i had my doubts about the casting of the rwrb movie.

but the way nicholas smiled at taylor in the poster made me realise that he is literally the most henry person that could have played the role

thinking about bathena finding one another amongst the chaos….thinking about bathena fighting their hardest to make it out and save each other…..thinking about bathena realizing there’s nothing else they can do and resigning themselves to dying….thinking about bathena making sure that their last words to one another are “i love you” because that’s the feeling they want to die with. knowing they’re together. and loved.

This isn’t Cats related but my sister is throwing her annual Halloween party tonight and I’m all done up as the Ice King from Adventure Time but there’s nobody here yet so I’m just staring at my phone like this until people arrive 😐

happy that the team i was in won the first final fest i participated in

present and future were really good

i had a good time

and i’m happy everybody’s chill about this splatfest

but i am very sad

that’s it

just sad

gonna miss the characters a lot

we might find new favorite characters and new fun things

but never gonna stop missing the old ones because this game has been living rent free in my brain organ for the past 2 years

If you like dogs and video games, go play Farewell North!

Farewell North is an indie game that was recently released. In it, you play as a border collie named Chesley bringing color to the world and helping your owner navigate grief. It is beautiful and fun and it will make you cry.

It’s remarkably accurate on what it’s like having/being a working farm dog that suddenly becomes a city dog. You get to herd sheep (and other things) and the herding mechanics are very very good.

It’s on Steam, Xbox, and Switch. I played the demo last year so obviously I bought the full game and I just finished it. Cannot say enough good things about it.

i’m sorry but i’m rewatching tlou, as one does, and the parallel between joel and ellie when ellie tells joel that everyone in her life has either died or left her alone besides joel, and how true that rings for him too. he lost sarah, he lost tess, his own brother chose a community and maria over him. and now there’s this teenage girl who showed up for him, who continues to show up for him, and she’s the only person in his life that has chosen him for the first time in a long time… damn.
