MikeLiz Integrated Farm

The MikeLiz Integrated Farm is a 5 hectares farm and one of the newest agri-tourism destination in Camarines Sur. It is owned by Ana Liza and Mike Escober. They started small by planting Mahogany and Coconut trees but they are now cultivating different livestock, herbs, flowers and fruit bearing trees like Mulberries and Dragon Fruit.

The Dragon Fruit is one of the products that they are investing on and been promoting because of the good health benefits it brings. They have maximized the use of the land dedicated for planting Dragon Fruit to make it available any time of the year. They first started with 300 posts of Red Royale Dragon Fruit in November 2014. They expanded with 200 post of Vietnam King White, Morrocan Red and Red Royale Dragon Fruits in August 2015. From Nov 2015 until Mar 2016, about 1200 posts of Vietnam King White, Morrocan Red, and Red Royale Dragon Fruit was added.

Just recently, they also have farm-grown products from their dragon fruit harvests such as dragon fruit jam, dragon fruit pastillas, dragon fruit red & white wine, dragon fruit ice cream, dragon fruit herb vinegar, assorted chili pastes, chili garlic, and ice candies.

Aside from posts of different dragon fruits, they also have a seedlings area, play and picnic area, bunny’s cabana, native pig vermiculture, mushroom house, livestock area, a grotto with wishing well and ponds with red tilapia for feeding and fishing as part of their farm attractions which makes it not just a perfect educational and recreational agri-tourism site but also a fun and interactive place.

SEEDLINGS AREA

This is where they plant and cultivate herbs, spices, crops and other plants which they used as ingredients for their farm products and food they served.

BUNNY’S CABANA

The Bunny’s Cabana is the home of cute friendly bunnies you could feed and play with.  This is one of the highlights in this farm and the fun part. You’ll really enjoy interacting with these bunnies. 

NATIVE PIG VERMICULTURE

It was also fun here. It was a little scary tho. The native piglets have been running around every time we try to go near them and they are fast too. They seem to be afraid of people or just shy.

Meanwhile, in the hundred acre woods...in Pooh's corner. It says, "'Take nothing but pictures. Kill nothing but time. Leave nothing but food prints. Bring nothing but memories." Always an eco-friendly reminder for every visitor.

I don't know why for some reason, it reminded me of the Weirwood tree from Game of Thrones. If you know what I mean, swear to the Old Gods and the New. 

Scarecrows are real, folks. They have it at the farm. Scared the hell out of me.

Peñafrancia Voyadores Festival 2018 and the Pilgrims Dance Competition colored the streets of Naga City with festivity feels.

“Voyadores Festival is a street dance reenactment on the transfer of the image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia from the Basilica to the Metropolitan Cathedral. Voyadores means "Mandaragat", named after the male devotees (voyadores) who accompany and carry the Virgin's image in a procession called Translacion for a novena at the Metropolitan Cathedral.”

It was raining during the whole tour here in Albay and Mayon Volcano is covered with clouds. Upon arriving at Daraga Church, the rain stopped and we had a short peek of her before the rain fell and the clouds covered her again.
