my Excessan redesign of the Six Royal Prismates, i think im leaning more towards the three eye design honestly, it alters the characters cannon designs the least and the easiest to do. i also change the pallets of the characters to be more consistent from the first time we saw them.

it’s been months since I basically taught my brain to read the Excessan language after over an hour of rapid looking back and forth between the translation key panel and what was written on the diagram plaque — “for a simple brain only one hand is needed” and all four hands being used feels like something to GREATLY worry about

Tbh, in retrospect I kinda theorize that Five was originally an Excessan - that's why she has the triangle pupils, as all other Excessans do.

Likewise everyone from Odin's planet (not just his family - Merita included) has square pupils, indicqting that they're at least their own species.

Theory: Taxiarch Five

I've been obsessed with Ava's demon for a while and this is my contribution (probably the only one)

I was scrolling through @doublethetheories theories on Ava's demon and saw one of Five (you should see)

I don't agree with them and this is my interpretation

Five, as showed by double has triangles as pupils and a chest piece as a triangle, too. They tried to theorize about Five being a host too, but I doubt it.

If you saw many theories or just done the math by Ava's name and the other demon's name, you can see that many view the demons as the seven deadly sins and for me that makes sense.

So, for me, Five is part of the seven virtues, she is supposed to antagonize Maggie but also reflect, like the two sides of the same coin.

(Five is one of the few characters to be hinted to have romantic feelings, which is a huge part of Maggie's character and something important to her as well.

There is also the hair that is styled like Maggie but more 'disciplined', and that is something very important since most of the followers with the whole get-up have short hair)

something about how chapter 29 is about erios and the prismates, the privileged and the people in power with this colorful and bright thumbnail, but chapter 30 and 31 tackle those who are less fortunate and straight up suffering in poverty in this black and grey style

something about how erios and excessans are related to gluttony, to eat and leave nothing behind. to have tylotung, the embodiment of gluttony itself, and their dead body buried under the new civilization. something about chapter 30 being "the bright side of the moon", followed by the dark side of the moon. these monochrome and minimalistic thumbnails

so the excessans naturally have electricity "powers"... and the use of the word "lifeform" here makes me think maybe they arent organic beings? and maybe, just maybe, the reason why theres something "wrong" with erios, other than being haunted by tylotung, is bc they cant use those powers...

This leads me to believe that Excessans communicate with other lifeforms by establishing a mental connection with them, hence the forehead boop.

Florem Mortem is native to both Odin and Wrathias planet1:08:40

the flower is the size of a tree to the hosts but is the size of a flower for the demons when they were alive

I tried my best with the grafitti-versions of the alphabet, but some of it was too abstract/artistic to make sense of. If anyone have cracked it, feel free to add; the cipher is found here.

people might've pointed this out already since erios and excessans were introduced two years ago, but i really like the detail of titan's influence throughout the entire webcomic

excessans and their language, for example. it's not weird to think about all the way titan has pushed his culture into the planets and races it colonizes, especially when we get erios admitting to just sign a bunch of shit for strategos that they most likely don't pay attention to. like look at this???

(shoutout to excessans for just singing their entire language btw, it's very cute to me that they're all just. naturals at music)

their fuckin capitalization directly takes from titan's own alphabet. the first letter of the sentence and any sort of capitalization MUST be from titan's alphabet. and even in their own excessan sites and what not, there's an awful lot of titan's language thrown in

and here, a public announcement that reads "new video from dj byte", only the word "from" is written in excessan?

and you could argue that titan language is just easier to use, because more ppl speak and read it. but in TITANS HEADQUARTERS, things are written in the regular alphabet we know

and this isn't some excessan translation moment where we're shown an edited version from their reality so that we can read, because we see that titan language, regular english and excessan are three distinct languages in many occasions? the best example i have at hand is the titan imports to excessa, which are a mix of excessan and titan language (with very few english words thrown in)

...WHICH ODIN SPECIFICALLY MENTIONS NOT BEING ABLE TO READ. AND THAT CHECKS OUT GIVEN HIS BACKGROUND

i just think it's very neat, and it adds a lot of layers to how titan treats the planets he conquers and owns. cause maggie and ava were from a titan refuge/reeducation planet, full of people titan saw as disposable given the scavenger's attack at the beginning of the webcomic. and then odin is from a planet that literally never encountered titan (SUS. VERY SUS. BUT THATS ANOTHER THOUGHT FOR ANOTHER DAY). so it makes sense that these three lack any visual details relating them to titan

but then there's gil, blind devotee to the religion, and erios, political ally to titan, who have these sort of T-shaped collars on their clothes

i mean it could all be a fun coincidence, or common knowledge confirmed through the streams and all but i just rlly love to look into things and the way the designs and everything just work out so well with the worldbuilding and character dynamics has me on a CHOKEHOLD
