Glad to have a dynamax shiny with good stats but also… I’d almost take a machop over this. Almost.
#pokemon go#my beef with shiny machop is legendary among my friends#mostly cause I don’t like using the machop line in mainline games but have found multiple full odds shiny machop#I never have anyone to trade with esp in older games so they almost never reach their full potential#the line is ugly enough on its own without nachop’s awful shiny coloration#and pure fighting types almost never mesh well with my in-game teams#I never pick machop over a pawmi mankey chimchar etc#shoot I never considered the mankey line at all until scarvi gave them a dual type evo#anyway probably gonna evolve the gastly despite Gengar’s horrible shiny#cause this is my only three star shiny#and you gotta take what you can get around here

theyre executing me today due to my misunderstanding of pokemon breeding mechanics in gen 4 causing me to waste 3 days of my real life time hatching a dozen eggs and evolving 4 different baby pokemon that i didnt need to instead of just getting a smeargle to sketch both moves and then breeding it w a clefairy
#sigh. i didnt realise only the male passes on egg moves. because that is stupid and the female passes on literally everything else#from nature (w everstone) to pokeball to species#why...#so i did poliwag w/ belly drum->marill->clefairy (HAPPINESS EVOLVE 💀) and smeargle w/ wish -> pikachu (Another happiness evolve.)#then pikachu/clefairy and marill/clefairy to get two cleffas (more evolving. took me days bc i had to wait for daily massages) w an egg move#each. then i bred them together and was like. um. hey why do i only have one egg move.... so i went and removed all other moves#in case there were just moves taking the slots up. and it still didnt work so i looked it up#hence why theyre executing me today. bc the clefairy w wish doesnt pass it on#dont ask why i didnt just get smeargle to relearn sketch and then learn belly drum from the poliwag in the first place (current course of#action) bc the answer is i dont knowwwwww#anyway -_- now to wait til i get a clefairy w a good nature in a heal ball. and then ev train it#i need to get a hp band but then i have to get 16 bp and its so annoyingggg you only get 3 per 7 fights#and only if you win them all. and im still training my battle frontier team i need them to gain like 10 more levels each#all this for my ribbons... my shiny luxray needs to have them all ^^#elliot lore

Guess who just beat Pokerogue for the first time !!!!!!!!
#pokemon#pokerogue#honestly i had purugly on there for shiny luck but she pulled so much weight#my double battle king especially after that bug guy gave us rage powder#also her sprite makes her look like shes wearing a maid dress#and my oricorio wasnt even one of the adaptability ones you get from the event#just caught and kept doing such high teir work!!!#of course my beloved blaziken#who basically carried for 70% of the floors#my beautimus abomasnow who i got through a wonder trade gts#that slowbro i only picked up cause i declined the random event from the crazy giratina lady#so my levels were tanked for a good thirty floors#who i grew to love#and of course#the garganacl i picked up while fighting the elite 4 cause i had no other fucking way to deal with eternatus#desperately had to level#whose stealth rocks killed most of the health bars on that miserable mega rayquaza even though her talonflame had fucking boots#AND ANOTHER THING most of the time youll fight your rivals team#an absol a furfrou perhaps#nay with this runs she had a FUCKING URSALUNA#WITH mountain gale that i always forgot about so it killed my oricorio#my evil team was team rocket who got stomped by my blaziken except for that mega mewtwo who got stomped by slowbro and oricorio#my rival also had a pinsir and a pain in the ass samurott with shell side arm#seriously though i hate that fucking giratina lady i even tanked a previous run on purpose cause i hated the shuffle so much#and her battles are fucking impossible so i never want to do them#but i hate the shuffle so much i like my guys and i like knowing what type my pokemon are#hate her so much the real villian of pokerogue i swear to god#ALSO I HAD A MEGA BRACELET FOR A HUNDRED FUCKING FLOORS#FOR ALL OF THOSE FLOORS I HAD 1 TO THREE POKEMON CAPABLE OF MEGA EVOLVING#DID I EVER SEE A GODDAMN MEGASTONE

I started playing pokemon diamond! i've been meaning to play it for ages so im super excited to jump in and finally play a 2D pokemon game, though i dont know if i trust either of my rivals yet.... I've only ever played pokemon games where you get exp share pretty much at the start so remembering to individually level up my whole teams gonna be a bit of a learning curve but im always up for new challenges
Naming my starters has always been important to me, it took me a while to come up with her's but i ended up picking Mori, after the japanese word for forest and a city in hokkaido, the island that's the partial inspiration for sinnoh :)
#i looked it up and apparently you can get exp share after registering 40 species of pokemon but that's still wild to me#like i don't just get it at the beginning??? how am i supposed to evolve all my Guys?????#i don't know why i'm so weary about my rivals especially lucas but there's something about them that's screaming villain arc to me#i don't want any spoilers nobody spoil anything#also why do they show the gym leaders on your profile even before you fight them??? the surprise of what they look like has always been#rly fun to me. i only glanced at it bc i didn't want to be spoiled but even then i feel like ive Seen Too Much#i caught an abra too it's just not on my team and oh my god that took like a half hour#why do they only know teleportttttt i wasted so many pokeballs#circling back to the rivals i think what's throwing me off abt barry is that he chose the starter with the type advantage#idk if that was normal in the older games but in all the ones i've played your rival picks the weaker one. it's just sus idk#anywho it's 1 in the morning i'm gonna go to sleep but woowee i'll having fun#OH RIGHT I LOVE THE WAY YOU GET YOUR STARTER IN THIS GAME#like 'whoopsies i found you in a random guys briefcase! we're bonded for life now.'#i've already characterized Mori to she 100% is a spoiled little princess who#learned how to do big sopping wet sad puppy eyes to get what she wants#and id fall for it every time she'll still be my itty bitty baby even after she evolves#sassy speaks#pkmn#pkmn diamond

#ymgb rambles#sir citrus and lord mipy are supposed to be the ancestors of my heartgold team- i only used citrus but i had a level 6 togepi in my party-#-for 'moral support'#master umbra refers to the edg au version of master gundam- it looks kinda similar to gliscor#vista is of course named after windows vista- he cant even play solitaire /ref#hans is named after hans holger bc i couldnt think of anything else#hans was supposed to be a one-off team member for the arcanine fight but he ended up being really useful#zabalite's name comes from the other side of a naming scheme i had for certain pokemon#in sv i had a florges named zabalzor- and in other games i named the 'plant waifu' pokemon something ending in -zor#i figured that because sylveon is a gen 6 fairy type like florges- i could use zabal- as a prefix#oh and in case anyone was wondering no i do not use lord mipy ever#i might not even evolve him i might just replace him with smthn else

not to flex or anything but i switch trained the 500 dollar scam magikarp from level 5 until it evolved because i wanted a gyarados on my team this time around and didn't want to try fishing one up later on. felt waaayyyyy more rewarding tbh
