So this very afternoon, I was talking with a friend about how much we both HATE running into people we know at local events, regardless of if we're friendly with them or not. We went to a concert later in the evening with two other friends, and at this show we saw:

-One of my best friends of over a decade (fine, wholesome)

-His wife (who I'm fairly certain doesn't like me, and absolutely does not like one of our other friends who was with us, and does not like the fact that I'm friends with them; weird, lil awkward)

-an ex of not one but two people in our group

-my former best friend (they said we would talk soon almost a year ago)

-their former partner (whom I fucking hate)
