Gah!! I don’t want to say too much about this fic — it’s best if you go in mostly blind. Suffice it to say it’s deliciously captivating, the writing is delectable, the smut will break your heart, and the character arcs it explores will make you want to lay on the floor and stare up at the ceiling. I want more of it!!!

Another casefic. This one is less about the case and more about Scully’s psyche. It delves deep into her desires for the future, her frustration with her situation, and conflicting feelings about Mulder. It’s wonderful and fascinating!

👨‍🌾🤰 A Thin Veneer by Analise

This post-colonization story is more of a casefic than anything else. Mulder and Scully are living in a small community of cabins in the middle of nowhere, just trying to survive. Mulder returns from a supply-gathering mission to a stranger at the camp and has to make sense of what he saw out in the world to keep his growing family safe.

It’s super fun to put the pieces together as more information is revealed! The stakes are high, the writing is compelling, and the OCs are interesting. Definitely recommend this one!

👽👯‍♂️ All the Mulders by Alloway

This short fic is undeniably weird (in a good way). It’s probably unlike any other fic you’ve ever read. It deals with one aspect of post-colonization life I’ve never considered and makes you ponder what makes a person a person. Anyway, give it a try!

🛋️🧠 Normal Conversations by Soronia

This is an author I just discovered who deserves way more attention in the fandom! Their writing style is so unique, and their fics had me giggling like a schoolgirl.

In this one, Mulder goes to Kersh-mandated therapy, acts like Josh Lyman in Noel, and absolutely ravishes Scully. In that order.

The dialogue is punchy, the psychoanalysis is brutal and cutting, and the smut is unbelievably hot. Please, do yourself a favor and read this fic asap!

⚾️🧢 Home Base by Soronia

The Unnatural is in my top 3 favorite episodes, so this was right up my alley! The flirting and banter and teasing are soooo well-done. Plus, M&S make good use of Mulder’s desk at the end, so there’s something for everyone.

After being exposed to a mysterious drug, our favorite agents suddenly can’t keep their hands to themselves. It’s hot, but also has such a great understanding of their relationship. I especially loved Scully’s POV; it was such a refreshing take on her feelings for Mulder. (Also, the final chapter is probably my favorite version of Skinner I’ve ever read! Somebody buy that poor man a drink.)

⏰📰 The Sin Eater by Jane Mortimer

This time-travel fic is short, but so interesting! Scully experiences missing time and must put together the pieces of what really happened. I don’t want to tell you any more than that — just go read it!

🪨🎨 Ever After by Jill Selby

This fic features time travel like you’ve never seen it before. Caught between two times and gravely injured, Scully must figure out what’s happening before it’s too late. It’s positively riveting, and every detail that’s revealed makes you yearn more for the full picture!

🛁💌 Clinical Detachment & Journey by Zuffy

(Clinical Detachment is the prequel — honestly, you can take it or leave it.)

In Journey, Scully must disappear to ensure her safety. I don’t want to tell you any more than that — it’s so fun to see the pieces come together and wrap your mind around the logistics of what happened.

Its been a long time coming for me to post an ACTUAL introduction to my bully ocs,,, and when I mean long I mean at LEASTTT 2 years 💀💀 this took me way too long and I scrapped the outfits a million times before giving up and just going chibi LMAOOO so SORRY if this is mid at best-

Personal

- Typical big prep ego, even bigger wallet. Cares about the way he looks, tries his best to come off as smooth and charismatic ✨

- LOVES to brag about how strong he is, and how he owes it all to his mother for supporting him and forcing him into sports

- Fully homosexual inside and out, his laid-backness about it making it nearly impossible for others to bully him for it (trust, they definitely tried)

- Due to his mother, he loves flowers and floral decor. This can be seen hinted all around his room through floral prints and designs scattered on clothes, stickers on furniture, and posters🌸🌹

- Despite being rich and always boasting about it, he’s very generous. He’ll buy food and clothes for his friends, often lending others money when they seemingly need it. It pisses him off when people try to take advantage of him because of it, HOWEVER he is not opposed to casual bribery on his part

- Smokes, typically when stressed after arguments or fights

- His eyebags are from many sleepless nights of him studying and doing homework WAY too late. There have been moments where he’s considered paying someone to do it all for him but he takes too much pride in having done it all himself

Cliques

- He’s rarely on good terms with the other preps, Gord being the exception because of their interest in “common folk”. Since Sanu wasn’t born into an already wealthy family, he’s often looked down upon and seen as poor, dirty, and or unsophisticated by the others

- Sanu can be seen hanging out with the Greasers and Townies when outside the school, however, has a particular dislike towards Lola and Johnny. He hates hearing about their relationship issues and prefers to chill with Vance (queer bonds💪)

- He’s great friends with Edgar and Duncan, bonding over similar backgrounds, culture, and hobbies. Sanu even had a crush on Duncan at some point early on in their friendship, but nothing ever came of it

- Sanu finds himself hanging out with the Nerds more than any other clique. His love for comic books, anime and video games led him there, and now he sticks around to be with his niece, Leslie, and Cornelius after developing a strong romantic attraction towards him

Family

- Sanu is a HUGE momma’s boy and that's entirely because his mother spoiled him plenty. Having a father that left them behind when Sanu was young, his mom single-handedly raised Sanu while pursuing a career in law, later becoming an IP attorney

- Sanu will often mention how great his mother is when talking about his own successes. He will start physical fights with others that mock his mom in any way, shape, or form

- He treats Leslie like his own little sister. He tends to pick at and annoy her affectionately, quickly getting aggressive when others do the same

KNY - Fix it! AU (+ My Characters) Canon Hashiras

This is the first post of the modern AU series, where I'll share with you moodboards and headcanons, for this post I'll cover just the canon Hashiras and in the next ones we'll see the non-canon and the OCs ones. A little warning: some of these headcanons are angsty but the concept I want here is of course hurt/comfort and it's a "bad things happened in the past but things aren't going bad now, we're all friends" kind of things. Anyway angsty headcanons aren't the majority.

🌊 Giyu Tomioka

Knows how to play piano, likes classical music a lot

60s/70s/80s sci-fi books reader, would probably start a conversation about a random book he red and end up talking about philosophy, religion and politics (Enmu and Harriet are the only ones to have actual conversations about the topics and don't just stand there confused).

Loves marine biology but never succeded in making a goldfish survive for more than one week.

🌫 Muichiro Tokito

Definitely a cat person.

Suffers from sleep paralysis and nightmares but draws anything disturbing he sees as a copying mechanism, Giyu thinks his art is pretty cool.

Super skilled at snowboarding and skateboarding.

Drac Dliw, or just Drac, is an immortal shapeshifter. Their gender is no, and they are about 2,044,169 years old. They enjoy shapeshifting and spying on people. Their soul is eternally bound to their body, so they cannot die or feel physical pain.

Shifter, the other immortal shapeshifter. He is 16,239 years old and male. He enjoys alcohol the wilderness, and he doesn't really like shapeshifting. He also HATES the word discord. No idea why. He can't die, but he can get hurt. Shifter's powers are more.. limited than Drac's.

Talon the lizard mermaid! She is female, and is roughly 19. She also enjoys spying on people and the woods, and has a disliking of water, specifically oceans. She isn't a shapeshifter, but she does have some level water bending abilities.

Flower the tortle! She is almost 7 years old, and she loves just about everyone and everything. The big flower on her head somehow never dies, and is very durable. (She's the least traumatized, as her backstory is still in the making)

Sade, the half-robot lizard guy(kobold if we're talking dnd). He's about 22 and male. He used to enjoys engineering and mechanics, and he hates explosive things. He always wears a black cloak.

Background: This tiefling is probably one of the friendliest you’ll meet - coz he really loves to make friends! He’s generally nice and morally good, wanting to help people as much as he can, buuuut occasionally willing to break a few eggs to make omelettes. He doesn’t try to go on a murderous rampage if he can help it, but when opportunity strikes, he’ll take it - then loot it all! But Xerxes won’t do stuff simply for the money or glory, he just wouldn’t say no if you offer it 😂

He adores animals very much and will take every opportunity to play with and pet his furry and feathered buds whenever he returns to camp. His companions have gotten used to hearing “Who’s a good boy~? Yes you are, Scratch! Aww, you’re so sweet, little owlbear! You brought a wonderful gift again, thank you~” every night, but it’s endearing to hear such friendly, playful words coming from his low yet gentle voice.

He’s strong leaning towards gay (pref for men and masc presenting/leaning people) BUT Karlach seems to have won his heart as the exception! Xerxes finds his fellow tiefling very adorable and sweet, her energetic personality very contagious, and he just loves her little fidgety dances. She always gets a smile from him when they talk and he loves seeing her eyes light up in happiness from good stuff, so he tries to keep that light shining always. He’s nice to all his companions, but he especially cares for Karlach. As of right now, even if the future’s unclear for the two of them as a pair, Xerxes would be happy with whatever times he can get to spend with his heart 💙🔥

Ahh BG3, the one thing my entire household of 4 loves haha 😌 With good reason! This game is a gem for even me, who doesn’t game much at all yet has gotten very deep into the characters and world - and of course, as an OC creator, the character designing hehe~

This Tav is my partner’s, so I can’t go into a ton of detail on his backstory but everything is based off what I’ve observed during playthroughs (and headcanons lol) I am kinda curious about what my other housemates have for theirs, but I’m currently at the point where I’m mostly interested in the design *coughilikeattractivecharacterscough* so I’m not entirely up to draw a Tav if it’s more meme’d (like my one mate made a literal Oompa Loompa 🤣🤣🤣) soooo this is technically fanart for my partner because Xerxes is hot (but also a sweetheart 😌) haha

It’s funny how contrasting Xerxes is with my character Areum lol (who’s not me btw, I like to see how my OCs would fare in BG3 with their personalities rather than playing as my chaotic self 🤣). I was remarking with my partner how kinda opposite they are. Xerxes being a tiefling may seem intimidating at first (and he’s tall!), but he’s a softie, loves animals, is morally good, and his expressions are usually neutral and accurate to the situation. He looks generally friendly out of combat. Meanwhile, my Areum being a (half) elf may appear as not scary for her race, but while she is morally good, she often has resting b*tch face haha. Her few times smiling or wide-eyed curiousity are so cute I’m like why can’t you look like that more often instead of seeming judgy of everything and everyone even when they’re your friends 😭😭 I blame her father for the genetics, I canNOT get that man to smile without a gigantic bribe 🥲😂

I do wanna draw our Tavs together sometime 🤔 Wonder how Areum would feel about this social tiefling hehe~ But I’m sure Xerxes will enjoy meeting her - and especially her feathery siblings ☺️

So first we have the redesign of UDU N;

First order of business, I changed up the coat pattern COMPLETELY. I felt as if for somebody who is not only the son of The Prophet Of Truths but also a full blue blood royal, her design was so BORING

So I added golden rimming, simply because gold is associated with royalty and, well, Ghetsis' reshiram IS shiny (who has a custom sprite that I made btw). An inner coat pattern of squares simply to add that sorta mathy look to it, I also made it closed so the coat would resemble canon N's normal white overshirt

And the symbols. I didn't want to just give her the normal plasma symbol, as this team plasma is different from the canon plasma. So I made it the symbol of the tcg pack "Plasma Blast." The symbol resembles the stones and the set itself holds a very special card of a Pokemon UDU N has specifically; A full art of Genesect decked out in Plasma Plasma insignias. Her Genesect's name is Genesis btw and he's a good boy

Now for Ghetsis;

Originally I went into this fully blind, no idea what I wanted in regards to professor wear, but then I had an epiphany. Who says I have to put him in an actual lab coat??? Then I went bonkers from there.

White clothing, as the castle itself is entirely white and again, reshiram, who's stated to be very important to Ghetsis' character. A corset with a tailcoat to give him a more fancy feeling, same with the ruffles on his cuffs.

A shoulder coat designed after his signature eye patterning and colours which come together with a clerical collar, something to give him more of a religious feel to him because, again, that's important to his character. The eye patch because that's important simply because his babies made that for him and he loves it (also yes hi lil N I didn't forget about you)

Here's another with me sorta getting used to drawing him along with a better view of the outfit (ignore the latches not being there on the corset I forgot to colour them 😭);

The post BW2 sketch to the side is because in regards to the Au. Back then Harmonians would cut off their long hair during war to symbolise and show their strength and commitment, as it was customary that Harmonians would grow their hair out to symbolise nobility and youth

Ghetsis' family never upheld this tradition obviously, but during bw2 when Juniper and co kidnapped N he saw it as a direct attack and threat to himself, the kingdom, and his children. So he chopped off all his hair in return, it upsets N everytime they look at it because it serves as a constant reminder of what happened and they feel guilty he did that for her

Now here's a pretty big thing that applies to all art even outside of au art that you may have noticed; the butterflies.

The butterflies serve as my signature in a way, all of my OC and AU art has them, however that does not mean they're meaningless as they do hold some subtle symbolism and character meaning

There are three different kinds of butterflies; White and Blue, Red and Black, and Grey. Each other these symbolises the inner character of my Ocs and AU characters. The white and blue ones symbolise a good character with good intentions. Black and red symbolises a bad character with bad intentions. Feet symbolises a grey character that lies inbetween, it's hard to gauge them because they do/did both shitty and wonderful things

Besides that, I really love to imagine Dottore/segments taking care of reader. Mostly segments since Prime is busy. They would be giving you a bath, dressing you up, brushing and drying your hair, brushing your teeth, getting on their knee to put on your shoes. The daily routine of a segment. They don't complain even though they are not used to doing these sort of things. They are not sure what they are doing, they are meant to do more... bloody jobs but here you are enjoying their gentle touches. Like, they would struggle with one of the tasks, (brushing your hair without tugging on it?), they would get frustrated, grumbling and huffing and reader is just sitting there with a smile on their face. Touched that the segments care so much about them to try to be... I don't know... be caring? haha

Dottore and his segments are selfish people. They're not interested in others, they're focused solely on themselves and their research, their goals, their experiments, knowledge. However, there is an exception to their mindset... you, of course. The one person who they do actually give a damn about. (Astonishing, really). Due to your health, there are times when you struggle to get through even the basics of your routine, but thankfully, the segments are always there to assist you. Even though you always apologize for "wasting their time" with such simple things, they really don't mind. Even if Prime didn't program that responsibility into them, they would still take care of you regardless. And, they get to spend time with you and be lavished with your affection after, so how could they ever say no?

Even though they're certainly not used to such tasks, usually carrying out things better left unsaid, they're actually not bad at it. Well, some things, at least. No matter what you wear they're going to be able to pull it on you without too much difficulty. I mean, do you see how complicated their outfits are?? Showers are good too, but you're going to have to get some better hygiene products... we know how Dottore and his segments tend to be, cooped up in the labs for unspeakable amounts of time... *cough cough*

If you happen to have hair long enough to brush, then only the older, more patient segments have that duty. The younger ones aren't suited for the job... unless you like getting yanked around.

Which canon character doesn’t respect your OC whatsoever?

Most certainly Orin. Orin despises Daedra and everything she stands for. She hates how much love and adoration that Daedra has over the cult, and from Bhaal, and even the fact that Sarevok loves Daedra more than her drives her insane. She despises that Daedra has so much natural talent for so many things and puts in such little effort to be good at things.

The Warden also has no respect for Daedra at all, but that is due to Daedra having no respect for the Warden either. The Warden hated the fact that Daedra would roam around Moonrise, acting like she owned the place and flagrantly disrespecting the hierarchy of power and doing whatever she wanted. The Warden even hated the fact that Ketheric did little to nothing to curb Daedra's behavior.

Who would call your OC their best friend?

Shadowheart. These two are a bonded pair, two peas in a pod. They're definitely the kind of friends who would make the pact of "if neither of us are married by 30, we'll marry each other." Not even Minthara can come between these two. Although Shadowheart is the first to get annoyed by Daedra's antics, she is also the first to excuse them. Shadowheart did save Daedra's life on the beach after the Nautiloid crash so Daedra becomes unhealthily attached to Shadowheart. But from that point forward, Shadowheart will go out of her way every time to save Daedra and will not allow her to die.

If Karlach survived the grove raid, these two would also be very good friends. These two would also be stirring up a shit load of chaos all the time and they would annoy everyone in camp. These two even have a special attack move together in which Karlach will literally pick Daedra up and yeet her into a crowd of people, in which Daedra will put out her swords and spin like a windmill.

Is there a canon character who would die for your OC?

Minthara. Now, Minthara to her core is a survivor and does not welcome death so easily or willingly. One of the vows that she makes for Daedra is the promise that she will always protect Daedra and keep her safe. Even though Minthara has confidence in Daedra's combat capabilities and getting herself out of trouble, Minthara would take an arrow for her. Because of her vows, it is one of the few circumstances in which Minthara would embrace death if it meant Daedra has a chance to live. Of course, Minthara will always try to find another way first if it is possible. But if death is inevitable, she'll die for Daedra.

🔥 1. What was the original thought that led to the creation of this character?

My initial thoughts were: a) I want a morally grey Slytherin. b) “Why are nearly all lovable rogue characters men?” (examples include Han Solo, Robin Hood, Flynn Rider, etc.) c) What could logically explain so much of the MC's wild in-game behavior? (I wanted to keep her fairly canon-compliant.)

To be a proper lovable rogue, Ellie had to have a sympathetic backstory, and since the MC seems to know some things about the wizarding world but not everything, to me that meant she wasn't purely muggle-raised. So, I made her a supposed Squib whose magical parents abandoned her out of shame. Ellie had to live on the streets and learn to take care of herself at an early age, turning to crime first out of necessity, then growing used to it as she got older.

A thief/rogue type would likely be skilled in running and climbing walls, stealth, breaking into places and stealing without getting caught, and generally unfazed by being chased by enemies. She’s charismatic and charming, everyone seems to listen to her and she can be very convincing (I imagine Ellie to be much less obvious than the canon MC when she's lying tho 👀)

🔥 6. What was the thought process behind their appearance? Did you go mostly for the aesthetic or are there other reasons they look the way they do?

Mostly for the aesthetic, but with purpose too: I wanted her to have a pretty face as another tool for her to use to her advantage - easier to get away with her criminal activities and not be caught if she can look cute and innocent. She has hazel eyes just because I love them and think they’re really underrepresented in media. I am also incapable of making a character without some freckles. I gave her the eyebrow scar and haircut and the end of her 5th year both for a physical reminder of what she went through, and to mark the passage of time, but this probably just confuses everybody who sees screenshots of her and hasn't read my long-ass OC intro post 😅

I don’t think I’ve written anywhere yet that she has ADHD (undiagnosed obviously, because 1800s.) So she’s off in her own world sometimes and gets distracted, fidgets when she has to be still for a long period of time, and can get very irritated if she’s disrupted while she's focused on something. She's also spontaneous, a creative thinker, has a lot of energy and a good sense of humor. She's the type who might seem intimidating at first, but she's silly and has a soft heart deep down, despite her hard upbringing.

SOMETIMES i fear the information just isn't digestible for me and i cannot like, visualize? the character beyond words on a page................ yeah idk. i think bullet lists are really good in getting important info out in a quick and easy way to supplement a novel biography ( esp if it has heavy prose ).

ok this is hard because on one hand most of my padmè takes are unpopular with general fandom on account of i take her seriously and shes a woman so everyone either hates her or puppets around an oc with her clothes on, and on the other hand all of my truly hot takes have been put way better by my mutuals and mutuals in law who are obsessed with her, so whats to say? that i dont think she was fridged any more than juliette? that i dont think shes completely unhinged for caring about anakin and in fact that she was proven right in the end by luke and by anakin himself?

OH WAIT I HAVE ONE!! i dont think her goals while raising the twins in an "all that mess never happened au" would be to continue a career in politics at all. i dont think she'd be able to stop herself from working herself sick on everything from charity benefits to the space pta but i also don't think she'd be able to throw her full self into both a political job and the ideal family life she wants. i dont think she'd want to half ass her job and i dont think she would want her children to be public figures or to have to work long hours at the expense of time she could be spending with family. ultimately her ideal job is probably something part time that lets her focus on passions, helping people and having a family that shes deeply entwined with. maybe she does taxes lol she'd get people such good tax breaks i bet. ok yeah i actually find that very cute, because the job would be helpful to others, something she'd understand, something that she can focus on and make an effort at, and i assume anakin would be working part time as a mechanic so its not like she'd need to do more than work for herself 4 hours a day, probably throughout the day in her spare time, during the twin's naps, while theyre at school or lessons, maybe a little before bed if shes feeling antsy and not ready to settle down yet.

i literally never have thought of this au or really any kind of "none of that happened" aus seriously because i find a lack of appeal in cutting away some of the juicier or harder hitting thematic aspects, but now that i Have thought of it i see the appeal. padmè happy... i love it.
