Waaah! what a fun time this has been!!!! I want to thank everyone SO much for joining in on this :') None of my YCHs worked out as nicely as this one, and i started it at a time where money was tight and i was really worried how my gf and I were going to get by. Luckily, before this YCH event ended, I actually was able to get a job! I just really want to say thanks and just! this was so fun!!!

I've gotten more confidence in my art than i ever did before when making these and having so many people interested in getting them. i might make myself a new ref sheet, and I think i'm going to be doing more YCH event things like this!! maybe a monthly thing!! I'll also have the original base files on hand so that if anyone missed out but still wants one, they can if we chat.

Vincent did get a party at Evandale county family rec center and Mercedes did not hesitate to age him up. He received the Inappropriate trait upon aging into a child. Though my gameplay was cut short due to having to prepare and evacuate my campus for Hurricane Helene 🫠, so child Vincent will have to wait.

Gold Coast Pride Festival is moving to a brand new home

The organisers of the Gold Coast Pride Festival have announced a move to bigger venue for their next Fair Day event in May, with expressions of interest now open.

Each year, the Gold Coast Pride Festival brings the community together at Surfers Paradise, with a lineup of events to kick off Pride Month celebrations.

The festival is back for a fifth year, with Fair Day on May 31, 2025. This year, the event is on the move.

“This year, we are moving the festival to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre,” organiser Vince Siciliani told us.

At its new home, Fair Day will have room to spread out throughout the hall and parklands, with live events, market stalls, parties and events that day.

“This new venue allows us to utilise both the parkland adjacent to the centre and the indoor hall and foyer, providing a combined outdoor and indoor experience with a safe space in case of inclement weather,” Vince explained.

Expressions of interest for Fair Day market stallholders, food vendors and community groups are open now.

Gold Coast Pride

As well as Gold Coast Pride, the Gold Coast Rainbow Communities team also host regular LGBTQIA+ social events throughout the year.

This Saturday (January 25), they’re hosting a Rainbow Picnic at Evandale Park at HOTA from 11 am.

Gold Coast Pride Fair Day is on May 31 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and Parklands. Find out more at the Gold Coast Rainbow Communities website.

cool bug fact, don't ask why but i have like,,, too many BW aus. I be putting them in situations.

we got:

Bug Winter (BW but everyone is an anthropomorphic insect/arachnid. an excuse to talk about bugs.)

Bodyguard (a classic. set in 1840 bc hehe big dress, Dorran is hired as Clare's bodyguard after she was threatened by a well known gang known as "The Hollows." romance ensues.)

coffeeshop (another classic. more of a joke than anything, playing with the idea of "what if he actually got to get that job?")

Vampire!Morthornes (self explanatory. the Morthorne family is just a bunch of vampires in the woods. it was not wine.)

Stardew Spring (a friends au! post series and set in Stardew Valley. Marnie doesn't die and is Stardew Marnie. Clare inherited the farm and took Dorran with her, seeing it as a fresh start after the stillness, plus she got to be closer to her family. Shane somehow gets assimilated into the Evandale Boys via being related to Clare.)

my personal epilogue (literally just what i want to happen next. I keep giving Clare things and i need to stop. she currently has three children, two tattoos, and a tongue piercing. I'm playing w/ that girl like my weird Barbie.)

Beauty and The Beast (Dorran is beast, Clare is Belle, obviously. self contained within the first book and also pretty self explanatory. its beauty and the beast but with Black Winter characters. it takes a while for Clare to know that Dorran isn't quite right because he has a potion (???) that pushes back the curse.)
