Game of Thrones' watch has ended, Fleabag raised an eyebrow to us for the last time, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend took its final bow, and The Big Bang Theoryfinally fixed that dang elevator. The last 12 months brought fans of some of television's biggest shows the one thing they've been missing: closure.
But even after the conclusion of so many important series, thus rendering those programs ineligible for our ranking of the 100 best shows on right now (words mean stuff!), the caliber of content may be stronger than ever before. In the last month alone, viewers have been able to watch new episodes of GLOW, Succession, Dear White People, and Power, and catch up on beloved series like The Crown, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Supernatural, and The Good Fight before their new seasons premiere. And who hasn't gotten sucked into a marathon of SVU or Snapped at least once over the past year? This lineup will only grow in the future, with the launch of Disney Plus, Apple TV Plus, HBO Max, NBCUniversal's streaming platform, and, heck, even Quibi? Quibi! (Say it out loud, it's fun.)
68. Gentleman Jack
Suranne Jones is a star. That much is clear. And Suranne Jones playing Anne Lister — the real-life industrialist in the 1800s whose five-million-word coded diary forever changed the way lesbian history is viewed — is a performance you'd be remiss not to watch. Gentleman Jack creator Sally Wainwright more than does justice to the incredible true story of Lister and her romance with (and eventual marriage to) sheltered heiress Ann Walker (Sophie Walker), but it's the cheekiness and heartbreak Jones brings to the lead role that makes this historical drama so compelling. Do yourself a favor and watch this star-making turn already. -Sadie Gennis
9. GLOW
There's a scene toward the very end of GLOW's third season when Debbie (Betty Gilpin, we stan!) finally explains to her BFF-cum-frenemy, Ruth (Alison Brie), how she pulled off a seemingly impossible series of moves that left Debbie with what feels like true power for the first time (no spoilers, just watch). "It worked. It f--ing worked," Debbie says, barely holding it together, almost unable to believe she was able to thread the needle. It's perhaps the most thrilling moment yet in an absolutely riveting show — and a perfect encapsulation of what makes GLOW so powerful. What started ostensibly as a series about the fledgling launch of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling has become something so much more: a series about what happens when women force change, take what's theirs, and don't apologize for anything. -Christopher Rosen
1. Schitt’s Creek
Schitt's Creek is taking over. The nicest show on television is riding the high of its first Emmy nominations — including outstanding comedy series, lead actress (Catherine O'Hara), and lead actor (Eugene Levy) — heading into its sixth and final season, and there's no time to waste lamenting how long it's taken most American viewers to catch on to this dreamy Canadian import. The Pop TV series, created by father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy, tells the story of a once-wealthy family inching toward happiness after they're forced to start over in a small town. "What brings so much joy to me in terms of writing this family is that all of these monumental moments for each of these characters are, to most well-adjusted people, totally everyday things. Like saying I love you and being open with your feelings," Dan Levy told TV Guide. Like the Rose family, Schitt's Creek has a knack for reinventing the ordinary. It's a comfortable sitcom packed with so much kindness that it feels brand new.

quarantine tag
I was theoretically tagged by @bethanyactually :D
ARE YOU STAYING HOME FROM SCHOOL/WORK? Yes, but I’m between jobs (actually between jobs, I just separated from one and am in the process of getting hired at another) PLUS I had surgery ten days ago, so I’d be holed up at home regardless of this global fuckery.
IF YOU’RE STAYING HOME, WHO IS THERE WITH YOU? My spouse. He’s been working from home and taking care of me (tho I’m a terrible patient, I never want to admit anything is wrong with me, and I’m really bad at letting people do things for me.)
ARE YOU A HOMEBODY? So very much yes. I’m discovering that my day-to-day lifestyle is not that far from shelter-in-place.
AN EVENT THAT YOU WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT GOT CANCELLED? An event I was going to in Chicago has been postponed, and I was going to go to visit my family and friends in Ohio on either side of that, so I’m sad I won’t be seeing anyone. (A friend of mine described it pretty well: “I miss certain people, but I don’t miss PEOPLE, you know?”)
WHAT MOVIES HAVE YOU WATCHED RECENTLY? Lol, I rewatched Baby Boom for the dozenth time the other day. I’m planning to watch Some Like It Hot later today with a friend (virtually, obvs.)
WHAT SHOWS ARE YOU WATCHING? New shows I’ve watched: finally watched the latest season of Great British Bake Off on Netflix (really didn’t like Rosie), High Fidelity (liked it more than the movie), Feel Good (darker than expected, but great cast), I Am Not Okay with This (very enjoyable, need a second series to be announced), just started watching season 3 of Mrs. Maisel bc Mark wanted to, and it does have it’s charms.
Rewatching Schitt’s Creek, and have just started to watch the final season.
WHAT MUSIC ARE YOU LISTENING TO? Haven’t listened to a lot of music, but have been listening to some comedy albums. Emily Heller, Aparna Nancherla, Debra DiGiovanni, Jackie Kashian, Eugene Mirman, and of course, John Mulaney. I’ve also been listening to some of Rufus Wainwright’s Quarantunes performances on Instagram.
WHAT ARE YOU READING? I got a six-month Kindle Unlimited subscription for half off back in November, so I’ve been reading a lot stuff from there (A LOOOOT of stuff). Currently reading a library ebook Hearts on Hold by Charish Reid, a KU book Heart of the Steal by Roan Parrish and Avon Gale. I also bought a load of ebooks from Manifold Press bc they’re having a sale where a lot of their titles are only $2.99 (which is a good deal for their stuff.) I’ve started Stage Whispers by Adam Fitzroy, and am enjoying it so far. :) (I’m hoping to post my March books soon, but you can check out my January and February reads.)
WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR SELF CARE? It’s actually been nice to have an excuse NOT to have to be upbeat and productive. I’ve been laying around and healing, mostly, but I did manage to bake a couple of things yesterday, and I’ve done some cooking, as well. Trying to get out and take a walk most days (tho I overdid it Friday, wasn’t ready to do over a mile yet . . . )
I do need to start wearing clothes that aren’t sweats/leggings sometime, though, or it’ll be a harsh reality when I need to go back to work! :D
Hope everyone is coping as best they can! If you want to do this, do it and say I tagged you! <3

New boi's route is finally out!
Meet Eugene Wainwright!
Tumblr media
I'm curious how his story will go, coz MC can talk to him only in her dreams??? Or not???
Anyway, I already love him, coz his appearance in Theo's and Wayne's routes was mysterious and a real cliffhanger
Such a pity I have to finish Wayne's promised future ending to start reading him...
And early bird prizes look adorable!

Shall we Date? Lost Alice Part 21 - Eugene Wainwright Route
Tumblr media
I guess we get to see Eugene awake for once! Well, I guess it’s hard to fall in love with him if he’s dreaming all the time haha. Nice of him to have a dragon pet lolll. Never thought Eugene would be a sweet tooth haha, now he can look forward to all of the heroine’s desserts!
I enjoyed how even though Eugene doesn’t talk much, he still observes the heroine and kinda knows her because he listens to what she says properly. It was cute when he told her properly (when she asked) that he doesn’t hate her and has no negative thoughts towards her, so she said that means all the thoughts he has of her are positive! Which is cute hahaha. So, Wonderland had been consumed by dreams this whole time?? I didn’t think it was since Wayne still looked rather reluctantly towards the idea of a piano.. tbh, I don’t really buy the way Eugene realised his dream world wasn’t working considering how adamant he was to ignore everyone else’s thoughts and feelings and just going along with it until the heroine came along and made him change his mind because she doesn’t really smile about it? I do appreciate the heroine looking at it from his perspective though, and saying that even if everyone can be happy in the dream world, Eugene wouldn’t because he knows it’s a dream, he knows everything.
It’s pretty anticlimactic how Eugene decided to give up on the dream world, but oh well, guess it’s nice that he cares about his dragon that can’t survive in the real world because the Spinner of Tales doesn’t allow their species. No idea when and how the heroine and Eugene liked each other so that kiss was random to me lol. Aaand nothing really happened besides they somehow keeping the dragon in their world etc, anyway, yeah it was boring (I had nothinng to comment about in this route loll) and their romance was fickle lol. It’s saddening but it was a very mediocre route and I couldn’t find anything interesting about it zz. Another sad thing to say is that the Lost Alice game has been/will be transferred to the Story Jar app that kinda requires money…so yeah, no more Lost Alice routes for me! Lol. I understand their decision but am still disappointed nevertheless, so yeah, I’ll just play the other games. The quality in the Lost Alice routes have dropped anyway, so I’m not too sad but I still am since I’ve played it for such a long time haha. Oh well, farewell Lost Alice! It was a nice ride! Luke will always be my favourite boy!

Synopsis : Hotel Chelsea: Living in the Last Bohemian Haven Book PDF EPUB
An immersive photographic tour of the legendary Hotel Chelsea, whose residents share their spaces, their stories, and a delirious collective history of this landmark.Jackson Pollock, Robert Mapplethorpe, Patti Smith, Dylan Thomas, Arthur Miller, Bob Dylan, Arthur C. Clarke, Andy Warhol, William S. Burroughs, Janis Joplin, Eugene O'Neill, Rufus Wainwright, Betsey Johnson, R. Crumb, Thomas Wolfe, Jasper Johns--these are just a few of the figures who at one time occupied one of the most alluring and storied residences ever: the Chelsea Hotel. Born during the Gilded Age and once the tallest building in New York, the twelve-story landmark has long been a magnet for artists, writers, musicians, and cultural provocateurs of all stripes. In this book, photographer Colin Miller and writer Ray Mock intimately portray the enduring bohemian spirit of the Chelsea Hotel through interviews with nearly two dozen current residents and richly detailed photographs of their unique spaces. As documented in Miller's abundant photographs, these apartments project the quirky decorating sensibilities of urban aesthetes who largely work in film, theater, and the visual arts, resulting in deliriously ornamental spaces with a kitschy edge. Weathering the overall homogenization of New York and the rapid transformation of the hotel itself--amid recent ownership changeovers and tenant lawsuits--residents remain in about seventy apartments while the rest of the units are converted to rentals (and revert to a hotel-stay basis, which had ceased in 2011).For the community of artists and intellectuals who remain, the uncertain status of the hotel is just another stage in a roller-coaster history. A fascinating portrait of a strand of resilient bohemian New Yorkers and their creative, deeply idiosyncratic homes, Hotel Chelsea is a rich visual and narrative document of a cultural destination as complicated as it is mythical.
