The struggle of finding an ethical clip on tail being a therian is not talked about enough
Like I don’t have the resources to make one so I shop for a fake one but I don’t know which are fake or just claiming to be fake
So then I try Etsy but every shop I contact sources from hunters or trappers or fur farms or captive breeding programs or are just suspicious like hmm don’t even worry about that like OH MY GOD I JUST WANT MY TAIL BACK IT WOULD BE SO MUCH SIMPLER
But therians or otherkin having the same issue as me, don’t give up! It’s much worth the wait and some mild inconvenience to spare an animals life- you can’t be a fox and then condone the slaughter of others.

Contemplating: Ethically Sourced Necromancy
To be blunt, a donor corpse will never be accepted by broader society. While the person, their lawyer and extended family may allow for a use of remains it would take a near perfect resurrection along the lines of flawless skin, bones, hair, teeth, eyes and cognitive function, which at this point we may have truly resurrected the subject with extra steps. Anything short of this is not acceptable, even if you santatize a skeleton and coat it decoratively so it looks more like a construct the very nature of an undead person will unsettle and affect others. I am an advocate of momento morii but I am not one of direct confrontation of the living and dead in such a manner.
Thus, we turn to vermin, the legally huntable and invasive species. The domestic beasts under the invasive species blanket like cats should be avoided for similar reasons to seen above as people are connected to their pets and taxidermy can mask this but the elements are unkind to an unsteady hand in such crafts. I personally choose mice and rats as they are easily replenished and if bones are painted grey and black they blend into the backgound more while doing their work. Another benefit to some rodents is use of hands in small manipulations, opening up work to locksmiths with metal-coated hands and any form of sewer scrubbing or lost property retrieval.
Larger mammals such as possums and raccoons are useful in similar ways but their invasiveness is subject to their region and thus should be considered. If so, consider the larger ribcage a boon as it can help store items and courier them back and forth as a magical delivery service.
Many other species are unfortunately too complex or small to use. Birds would be wonderful but necormancy doesnt like fine tools like feathers typically so unless you take your time bit by bit they will likely be flightless and handless. Fish bones are useful tools in a pinch but all but impractical in the utility one would commonly look for unless you can make them swim and use the ribcage as a carrier for delivery systems like the larger mammals.
Insects are all but wholly useless, as they can cause nothing but harm or be used as a pseudo-smokescreen for evading someone hunting you down. Some insects or arachnids with venom may be utilized to hold alchemical concoctions inside them so you can inject healing potion in someone without uncorking a bottle, but the preperation for this must be extensive to manage each day.
Plant life is dependent on its utility as some necromancy can preserve plants for later use, but much of the species which are invasive or usable in an animated manner will likely cause more harm than good, and will almost always catch the ire of a druid if they are in breathing distance of the air after you've done the do.
The golden rule of thumb for all of this is consideration of local customs and laws, and always be considerate of and around graveyards.

Taybillionaire convo opened discussions of capitalist entities in the music industry and beyond. Without it, I wouldn't even know Fenty is worse than Shein on X.
I love Taylor Swift. But pls no one's an "ethical billionaire" 😭
Being put under scrutiny is only right because this is what we should do to OTHER BILLIONAIRES too.
We tend to forget, when a person has that kind of money, their entire financial environment is now TOTALLY different from us. One example would be getting a tax-writeoff through philantrophy to protect their profits. (e.g. Bill Gates)
Tax-writeoffs may vary from millions to billions of dollars.
Same thing with her carbon emissions, It's only right to talk about that. Especially at the time when the earth is at its tipping point.
Because discussions like these, reveal the truth behind our beloved artists which can go beyond just the music industry—trickling down to other billionaires like Elon Musk too.
Yes, Taylor's a good person. I personally believe that too. But that doesn't mean she's exempted from critics.
This is the time that we need to be watchdogs not just to her, but all the other billionaires as well.
And with that, I love Taylor Swift even more. Stream #ttpd

The Ethical Teaching of History: Why It Matters
Musings Shadows

History is meant to teach us about the past, to help us understand the world we live in today. But what happens when history is told in a way that robs us of our dignity, manipulates our identity, and leaves us feeling cheated?
Growing up in Mozambique, I always loved reading history books. I wanted to learn, to understand. But instead of feeling enlightened, I often found myself feeling wounded, betrayed, and manipulated by what I read. It felt like history was being told in a way that was not just incomplete—but harmful.
Take a simple example: a family dinner. Imagine four people at the table—two grandparents from the Gaza tribe and two granddaughters, who are of mixed tribal heritage, including Inhambane. The conversation turns to history, and suddenly, old tensions surface. The Gaza elders recall how a man from Inhambane once betrayed the people, revealing a secret that led to Ngungunhane’s capture and exile in Lisbon. As a result, the Portuguese labeled Inhambane "terra de boa gente" (land of good people), a title that still sticks today. But was that really a compliment? Or was it a manipulation tactic—one designed to divide, to make one group feel superior while isolating another?
This is the kind of history we inherit, not just in books but in the way people talk, in the way identities are shaped. But the problem isn’t just how history is remembered—it’s how it’s taught.
The Flaws in Our History Education
I grew up learning nothing about the fight for freedom.
Nothing about what existed before Vasco da Gama.
Nothing about the events that led to FRELIMO’s formation.
It was always just a short paragraph, as if it didn’t really matter. But what did matter? The lessons we were constantly given:
We were slaves.
We were oppressed.
The colonizer assimilated us to become “proper” laborers.
That was the narrative. Not the resilience, not the resistance, not the power we had before colonization. And when that is the only story we tell, what does that do to young black children? What does that tell them about who they are?
I remember learning this in the fourth grade, sitting in a classroom where black children and white children shared space. And I wondered—what was I supposed to feel? Were we being pushed to see each other as enemies? Were we supposed to feel like descendants of a failed nation?
If history is taught without care, it creates division, resentment, and self-hatred. And I saw this firsthand in my own family.
"Colonialism Didn’t Just Steal Land—It Stole Identity "
My grandfather is a fully black man, yet he often refers to himself as white. Not because he’s confused about his heritage, but because, to him, white means educated, emotionally stable, financially secure, well-cultured—all the good things. And black? Well, you can imagine the adjectives that come with that.
This mindset didn’t come from nowhere. It came from a history that was told in a way that erased our greatness and glorified our oppressors. It came from decades of psychological conditioning that made blackness something to escape, rather than something to embrace.
That is why ethical history education is urgent. Because this damage doesn’t just exist in the past—it’s alive today.
What Ethical History Teaching Should Look Like
If we want to break these cycles, we need to change the way history is taught. Ethical history is not about romanticizing the past or avoiding painful truths, but about presenting them in a way that is honest, empowering, and constructive.
Imagine if Mozambican children learned about:
Pre-colonial civilizations – The great kingdoms and trading networks that thrived before the Portuguese arrived. The fact that Vasco da Gama discovered nothing—he encountered societies that already existed.
The resistance movements – The people who fought for freedom, the strategies they used, the victories they won. Not just a dry paragraph about FRELIMO, but real stories that show the power of the people.
How colonialism manipulated identity – Understanding that labels like "boa gente" were not innocent but were tactics used to divide and control.
Post-colonial realities and the way forward – Teaching young people how to heal, how to reclaim their identity, and how to build something better.
This is the kind of history that builds people instead of breaking them.
A Call for Change
Right now, this kind of history isn’t widely taught in Mozambican schools. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be. If the education system won’t change overnight, then maybe the conversation needs to start elsewhere—in books, in community initiatives, in online spaces like this.
We have to reclaim our stories.
We have to tell history in a way that does justice to those who came before us.
We have to teach history in a way that empowers those who come after us.
Because if we don’t, we risk repeating the same psychological chains that were placed on our ancestors.
History should not just tell us where we’ve been—it should help us decide where we’re going.

Ethical fashion | Where to shop
Okay so today we will be talking about ethical shopping, specifically for fashion so today we are going over, what is fast fashion, why would you want to buy from ethical sources, why is it okay to buy from fast fashion and where to buy if you want to shop ethically so lets get into that
What is fast fashion?
ast fashion is cheap articles of clothing made at an increasingly fast rate. Now, just because their cheap, does this specifically mean that the clothing is badly made? Well, not always, but most of the time the quality control is badly managed and so the clothing is not always the best quality. But some people don’t really care about the quality of clothing, they just want cute clothing, now I’m not going to tell you all the reasons you shouldn’t buy from fast fashion but instead all the solutions of what you could instead do if you’d like to have higher quality clothing. lets go onto that section.
Why would you want to buy from ethical sources?
What are some reasons that you would want to buy from ethical sources? Well firstly, as stated before, the quality control will be better therefore you will get better textures, less broken/ prone to breaking items and an article of clothing that will more likely match the picture you expected to get when buying. So generally it’s for you to buy clothing that you’ll wear for longer, more and for comfortability. But thats just some reasons that it would be better for you, does it help anyone else when you buy ethically? Well for one, it helps the planets, ethical brands try their best to be free of animal cruelty and to be environmentally friendly so that the planet we live on stays inhabitable. Another reason is most ethical brands also will not put their workers, and or co-workers in dangerous working conditions and give them lower then minimum wages. Finally, most ethical brands also have ethical views/ mindsets, such as:
Not stealing from artist and even supporting artist by paying them for their time and or collaborating with them by sponsoring them
they might be pro equality by supporting lgbt+, BLM and or research foundations on making the world for minorities a better place
speaks out against injustice by either spreading the word or helping other financially
These are just a few reason of why you might want to support ethical businesses
Why is it okay to buy from fast fashion?
Not everyone can afford ethical fashion, does this mean they shouldn’t buy from cheaper fashion brands that have cute clothing, No! Everyone deserves to feel cute no matter what their financial status is, just don’t do anything that is hurting you for example, if you buy forma makeup company and they come out later saying that their products have given peoples skin rashes and or any other bad reactions, don’t use the makeup. Your health comes first before anything else, yes you deserve to feel cute. But don’t put your physical health or any health for that matter, in danger in the name of beauty. So is it right or correct to buy from fast fashion brands, whos really to say? I for one am not that person to make a decision on something that is not so black and white. Also a lot of fast fashion brands have more sizes being more accesible to plus size people, again, everyone deserves to be cute and if you cannot find your size in an ethical brand. do whats best for you to be your most authentic self. But what about all the people who have taken this into factor and want to stop buying fast fashion and want to buy ehticaly but don’t know where to start? That's what the next section will then cover
Where to buy if you want to shop ethically
o There are a couple of shop I’ve gathered and I will give you some reasons as to why you personally might want to buy from them. Also some places that seem ethical but actually aren’t so just some do’s and don’t of ethical fashion shopping
