Ahhh!!!  So many thoughts!!!

I’m like 100% sure this is about Iseult and Leopold just because of the Trickster comment.  He’s the only person in the series who is ever referred to as Trickster, and she is the only person in the series who ever refers to him as that in her head.  Plus, Trickster is from Nomatsi legends and beliefs, and Iseult is the only female POV character who is Nomatsi.

But what in the world would Iseult be asking Leopold that’s so important??  And why in the world would she be leaving forever?  I’ve been thinking about it, and here are my messy and disorganized thoughts that could be absolutely wrong.

As I’ve discussed in this post and this one, there’s obviously something going on with Leopold.  I’ve theorized about this, but the posts are really long and I don’t want to type it all out again.  My point (in short) is that if Iseult was to find out that Habim and Mathew are working with the Raider King (which is a theory that I agree with even if I don’t like it)...she already knows that Mathew was the one who sent Leopold to find her and take her to the Monastery.  It wouldn’t be hard to put the pieces together.

I’m not saying that Leopold is working with Ragnor.  I’m not saying he isn’t either.  I really want to believe he’s on their side, and there are a lot of reasons why I genuinely think he is (see the posts above).  What I am saying is that, what with everything else going on with Mathew and Habim and Eron, there’s nothing to stop Iseult from assuming that he’s working with Ragnor.  And as for seeing if he’s lying...well, his Threads have been deceptive before, which is where @aetherbitch​‘s Glamourwitch theory comes in.

I’m taking so long to get to my point here, but I think (and again, it could be wrong) that in this teaser, Iseult has just figured all this out.  If she’s leaving forever - and is so absolutely convinced that he is going to lie to her - she might think that he’s been betraying her, and therefore never expects or wants to see him again.  The question she wants to ask him?  Could be anything.  “Why did you do this?”  “Were you ever Safi’s friend?”  Anything like that, I guess.  It would fit the situation.

Again, this is just a theory.  But WOW what an interesting teaser!!!

1. Where does your muse’s family originate from? Do they come from another state or another country? Are there any customs, relevant to their original home, present in the family today?

Canonically speaking, the place would be Tatooine. In modern verses, I figured it’s just somewhere in Europe if we really wanna go far back, because where else could have they been from? As for customs, I’d say also no since they’re a small family and nobody has any real attachments to customs.

2. Are there any relatives that still reside in a different state or country? Have they ever interacted with your muse at some point in their life at all?

Not that he knows of. IMO, he doesn’t even know about the Naberries. He doesn’t know much about his mother’s side of the family either, only that his mother was an only child like he is. Now if we’re going modern, his maternal grandparents would definitely be native New Yorkers. He has no cousins on that side, either. Of course, on the paternal side he has a cousin and an aunt, plus an uncle by marriage as we all know. To be honest, here he doesn’t have any bad feelings toward Ben as much as they just grew apart as they got older. That’s reality for you lmao

3. Who is the oldest ancestor your muse’s family can trace back to in History? If they cannot trace back that far - is your muse interested in learning of their roots?

Shmi Skywalker is the only one he knows about and he’s never really questioned it further. I mean, what could he discover if he ever decided to trace his family history? Maybe it would be interesting to know. Maybe it would just be more tragic, since he knows that his great-grandmother was a slave. It’s enough that he has the information that his family began from humble beginnings. He figures she wouldn’t have kept birth or death records, anyway.

4. Is your muse’s family big or little? Close-knit or distant?

Little as we all know. Close-knit at first, but grew distant when that night happened, and if I go with T.ROS, he’s literally the only one left in his family. But ignoring that, he’s very close with his mom and dad, then he gets closer with his aunt during his time in the Resistance. They only had each other.

5. Were there any naming traditions in your muse’s family? Reoccurring names found generation to generation?

Nah, not in his immediate family. Only Ben was named after someone whom the family considered to be part of them.

6. How close were they to their father?

Very close. He was entirely distraught when Luke died. Broken. He blamed himself for it, because he thought he could’ve done something to prevent it, even though it was out of his control. But also he’s had this dilemma of wanting to make him proud while knowing he could never achieve or do something great. He was absolutely wrong, of course. Luke knows this and I write him too you can’t say I’m wrong lmao so I don’t think he’d have unrealistic expectations from Eron. Now that would make him out of character.

7. How close were they to their mother?

Close, but not as close as he is to Dad, oops. She was away often on New Republic missions, so most of his childhood was spent at the temple with Luke being the on-hands parent. He mostly talked to her through holos and whenever she came home, he’d run straight to her to give her a hug. He’s as much as he is his mother as he is his father. 

8. How close were they to their siblings?

Well, if he had any, he’d probably be close with them.

9. If they were a only child, were they lonesome? Does your muse wish they had a younger sibling or two as they grew up?

Sometimes, yeah. When he was younger, he wished he had someone to play with and talk to, since he was a shy and quiet kid, never really having the courage to go ask other kids to be his friends. He outgrew it and simply accepted that he’s only child.

The blue eyes, for sure.

No. Who knows, maybe if he kept going down his Jedi path, Luke’s lightsaber might’ve been his. He left the temple at sixteen with little to no personal belongings and when he returned the day after everything was burned to ash, there was nothing left.

13. Does your muse’s family have any traditions? Whether it be them travelling out of state for a period of time or, something they’ve done each holiday over the years?

I don’t think so in canon. But in modern verses? 100%. They’re a middle class (or upper-middle, even), white American family, so they can afford to travel. Summer vacations are fun, honestly. Definitely wouldn’t go to Disney though lmfao he hates crowds. They have simple holiday traditions like putting on ugly, itchy sweaters for photo ops, watching classics, putting up decorations, making snowpeople. 

14. Was your muse happy to leave home, or do they miss it? Is it victorious to be away from their family? Bittersweet or nostalgic?

Man, there’s nothing more bittersweet for him than leaving home. He missed it dearly and kept wanting to go back, but he thought about the consequences of going back. Would his dad even want him there? The obvious answer is yes, of course, but he just didn’t think he could live with himself after what he did. In T.ROS, Ajan Kloss is home. It’s the one he knows now. He does sometimes daydream about what it would’ve been like, had the rest of them survived, still there in the flesh, filling up his empty home with their chatter and laughs, because he is his only company.
