Hey !
I just found this cute prompt : "It sure does, cowboy. And sharin' this moment with you makes it all the more special. I don't wanna be anywhere else but right here, by your side." can you do this with my dear Terry, pretty please ?
You fall in love with Terry around a campfire under the stars in Montana.
You'd been coming to the ranch for months with your niece as part of the Equine Therapy Program recommended by her therapist. You had watched him from afar for weeks, always hovering as he worked alongside of her, talking and brushing down Baulderdash the Pony.
He got that you were protective, who wouldn't be after someone you loved had been hurt in such a way, especially by their own family members.
There were rumours around town that he used to be a cop back in New York before he'd purchased the Ranch and set up his business supporting people with PTSD and sexual assault survivors through equine therapy. Each of his counsellors including himself were highly recommended.
He's seen some shit. You can tell by the way he talks sometimes. Occasionally when Amelie is out on a ride with one of the other counsellors the two of you share a coffee on one of the benches outside. He's warm and amicable, he describes what your niece is going through as a process, he praises both if your resilience. He knows coming to terms with shit isnt easy.
He's the first person you admit your guilt to. You hadn't realised what was happening until it Amelie has ended up in the hospital. You had never realised that your sister was capable of such things. He's a good listener and you like that about him.
Truthfully there's a lot you like about him. You havent been with a man for a long time and the way he wears his plaid shirts, tucked into his jeans. It does something to you.
It's on the kids camping trip that you realise you've caught feelings. You see the way he interacts with them, teaching them how to put marshmallows on a stick, strumming his guitar as he breaks into song with gusto. The kids love it and when he looks up at you with that smile on his face, you realise you do too.

Part 9 of the Buddie Development
part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4 | part 5 | part 6 | part 7 | part 8 | part 9 | part 10
booooo!!! too little interactions this season
S5:E1 Panic
the episode title says it, but i can’t get over Eddie having a hetero panic 😂😂 someone refered to Anna as Chris’ mom and Eddie passed out 😃👍 I feel like a still don’t understand it in it’s fullest but part of it i believe is the pressure he feels from his culture to look for a new partner that is going to be forever. Or how he didn’t feel a deep connection with Anna and he’s regretting introducing her to Christopher’s life since that is what makes it extra serious.
Buck and Eddie sort of discuss his panic attack but Eddie doesn’t want to talk about it :/
S5:E2 Desperate times
Eddie is so weird about his relationship with Anna. he just looks like he’s at camp and desperetly wants to call his mom to pick him up.
S5:E6 Brawl in Cell Block 911
it’s redundant but Buck will always run like hell when he sees Eddie in danger, like when he heard the gunshot outside the hospital and tjought Eddie had been shot, he didn’t care that the prisioner was still armed, he needed to see him.
S5:E13 Fear-o-phobia
Eddie is really struggling with the PTSD and after hearing that all of his team from the army have died he spirals, really scaring Christopher. So Chris calls Buck to help Eddie calm down. And he does, Eddie opens up about everything.
S5:E14 Dumb Luck
Buck gets Christopher a slot to do equine therapy and also takes Eddie to visit Charlie, a boy that he saved the day he got shot. He’s just always looking out for them and it feels like such a partner and co-parent thing.
that was practically it for season 5, i don’t know if i missed some things but i feel like it was less interaction than any other season ☹️ granted we had a lot of backstories of other characters and this was just mainly about building their friendship and not so much about altering the dynamic, if you noticed other things or know more about Eddie and Anna’s relationship i would love to hear it!

Oh hi! So when you have the spoons would you like to tell us about your Morgan? What was its name? How old were you when you met said horse? How did it come to be yours? Fondest memory? Did it have any personality quirks? I’m so curious!
HA! This is a low spoon question - which is great because this time of year I think we're all lower spooned. At least in this hemisphere, because holidays are rough and less sun and well that's another post entirely.
Her name was Roanoke (Dare County NC, Not VA because Blackbeard and the graveyard of the Atlantic and I'm weird). She was a rescue who had been abused and neglected. I was wow, um, early twenties? Didn't have her for more than about 5 years (and gave up on horses altogether). She was kinda awful? Lol. Because of everything she'd been through. Fondest memory is kinda not so fond, but she used to try and unseat me all the time. Like, ride me under low trees etc. So we had to do a lot of work until she was okay with me. But it was super worth it. I liked her attitude though. Also how she smelled. Nothing is better than that alfalfa fresh hay clean horse smell. Except maybe how happy cows smell. Which is really weird to type out but it like makes me relax all over. Also also when she got weight on her. Just random happy thoughts like that.
I've thought about trying to do equine assisted therapy, because there's been SO many studies on how human brains respond to equine interaction, like it lights up in all sorts of different ways. But I haven't figured out how to a - afford it, or b - if I want to do the legality stuff.

Okay, so, I made this buddie framing meta a few days ago but it actually got me thinking about something else, so I'm gonna type it out.
You know, they actually kinda made a point to make us think about the dumb luck conversation at the equine therapy place with the cemetery scene in death and taxes. It's a different location, it's "outside", the outfits are similar but in different color schemes, and they are framed similarly but they give off different vibes.
Eddie in dumb luck is all about accepting help, finding hope, and all that, and the talk they have is framed in a very interesting way. For starters, they are not centered in the wider angles.
That's interesting alone, the conversation is about Eddie and getting him to find reason in life and all that, and Buck is trying really hard to be there for Eddie, to see Eddie's side and Eddie is letting him.
But the thing that gets me here is they are facing each other, they are talking, but they are always on the same side of the screen. That's a very interesting choice. They are talking, they are on the same side, they are fixing the problem. This conversation has the point of getting their friendship back on track, with them opening up about issues. (I say this because of the way Eddie left without talking it out with Buck and the whole Eddie pretending he was fine even though he was definitely not that starts to get resolved with the ending of fear-o-fobia and it's really resolved here)
And the thing is, it works, we see a lot of casual friendship moments between the two of them after that, something that was not gone, but reduced considering the shared trauma of the shooting. We have Buck gravitating to Eddie in the hospital on mayday, we have them chilling in Chris' room in hero complex, fixing the walls, Buck cooking them dinner, them referencing things they told each other, you catch my drift, we get a lot of them outside the firehouse. Until death and taxes.
The thing here is about Buck dealing with his trauma about dying, but while dumb luck brings them together in it, this scene actually pulls them apart. Again they are off-center in the frame, but they are on different sides, they also switched sides, yk, Buck is the one who needs reassurance this time and their positions are flipped.
But this time they are on different sides of the frame. Another thing is they don't face each other a lot. And considering Buck is talking about being seen and how is Eddie usually looking at Buck in some capacity all the time, it's interesting that this is not happening here.
They pretty much never look at each other at the same time, and they do show them looking at each other, is off-center and on different sides and they don't really look at each other for that long. This conversation creates a gap between them.
I think this particular conversation has a lot of layers, and it's interesting for a multitude of reasons because I think that what Eddie gets from what Buck is saying is that he doesn't see Buck in the way Buck wants to be seen and after this conversation, we stopped getting the casual friendship moments outside the clock. In 6x16, 17, and 18 we only see them interact in the firehouse or in calls, we don't even see them interact in the hospital after the bridge.
I know a few people have been talking about the similarities between season 4 and season 6 and I think that comparison is interesting here because of the way the shooting created a gap between them, that they had bridged but it's now there again.
I don't know if this makes a lot of sense, but I do know I want a mirror of the dumb luck conversation in season 7.
(please dont judge the quality of the gifs i made them just for illustrations purposes, no thoughts just vibes 🫶)

Restoring the Roots (Joel Miller x Therapist! reader) Chapter 3 Preview
Chapter 1 | Chapter 2
A little sneak peak of chapter 3, basically a whole lotta reader thirsting over our grumpy old man :) As always, thank you for your support and interest with this little story of mine.
Understanding the nature of the situation, and Joel’s obvious discomfort in seeking out help, you tried to make the consultation as stress free as possible, allowing him to speak first and share his thoughts about therapy. He wasn’t as hostile or cold as you anticipated, rather he shared that sense of being lost and displaced, much like your other clients who were struggling. His southern charm supplemented that as well, with his politeness overshadowing his contention towards therapy. For a second you thought he was going to disintegrate on the spot when he realized he had cursed in front of you and apologized profusely. It was charming as hell and really fucking endearing.
You tried your best to sympathize with his concerns him and validate his feelings, but fuck it was hard to concentrate. You couldn’t stop focusing on how much room he took up on the seemingly large sofa. His broad shoulders were still concealed by his coat but you didn’t miss how he sat with his legs spread open, easily dwarfing the couch that could normally seat three people. He also spoke with his hands, you noticed. A lot. You surmised it was the nerves, but again, you could get pretty animated with your hands when talking about something that excited you. You bit the inside of your cheek as you struggled to maintain his gaze and ignore how large they were, calloused from hard labour, how thick and long his fingers were.
By some miracle you managed to make it through the entire conversation without gawking incessantly and fumbling your words, even when it felt like your brain was functioning faster than your mouth. Your passion getting the better of you.
Despite what Tommy told you, Joel was sweet, albeit reserved, but that wasn’t very different from other first time clients you met. You appreciated his honesty and apprehension. His perception of therapy didn’t surprise you in the least, If you were being honest. It only made you more excited at the prospect of working with him, and showing him the power of equine assisted therapy. He did seem to light up when you mentioned how the therapy worked and the interactions with the horses. You took that as a good sign. If he was already an animal lover it would make the transition to working with horses in a close proximity much easier. While equine therapy was indeed effective, it was a much longer process when your clients were not used to working with horses or were downright terrified of them.

"Do you think Cozy Glow should have deserve a 100 spankings in the plot for insulting Flurry Heart?"
Oh no, Daeling, I would think she deserves to be incarcerated in a mental institution and forced to endure therapy with Ms Starlight until she can be deemed fit to rejoin society. This having nothing to do with the interaction between Flurry and her adult self and everything to do with her sociopathy and attempting to banish all magic from Equestria because she doesn't understand equine emotions as a filly.
But I guess spanking her as an adult is more satisfying for you?

"Can’t Get Enough Horse Stuff": A National Geographic Kids Book That Inspires Love for Horses
I absolutely love it when professionals take on creating books for children. And this time, we have an incredible treasure in our hands — "Can’t Get Enough Horse Stuff" by National Geographic Kids. This isn’t just a collection of fun facts; it’s an immersive journey into the fascinating world of horses, filled with engaging games, hilarious jokes, and, of course, stunning photography.
Kristina Sauer, deputy editor at National Geographic Kids, describes it best: "This is the perfect book for kids aged 7 to 10," she says. "It’s packed with everything from quizzes and jokes to inspiring stories from experts, including horse therapists, filmmakers, and trainers. It’s the ideal introduction to horses for young readers who already love these animals or are just starting to explore the joys of reading."
Exploring the Diversity of the Horse World
From mighty draft horses to elegant Arabians, this book showcases the incredible variety of horse breeds. Kristina herself, despite growing up around horses, admits she learned so much while working on this project: "Did you know that a Belgian draft horse weighs about as much as a baby humpback whale? That completely blew my mind! And those majestic Friesian horses with their flowing manes? They’re practically the royalty of movie sets."
The book also delves into Arabians, whose always-upturned tails result from their unique skeletal structure. And who could forget miniature horses? Standing less than 38 inches tall, these tiny but mighty creatures are absolute crowd favorites.
Why Do Horses Captivate Us?
"Horses are incredibly expressive and communicative animals," Kristina shares. Many people feel a deep connection with them. She highlights equine therapy, where horses help people regain balance and coordination by mimicking human walking patterns. "Did you know horses have 17 different facial expressions? That’s almost as many as humans! They may not speak our language, but their eyes say it all."
With 4,000 years of companionship between humans and horses, it’s no wonder we share such a strong bond.
Learning the Language of Horses
The book teaches kids how to interpret horse body language. Relaxed ears and half-closed eyes? That’s a calm horse. Ears pinned back with flaring nostrils? Better watch out — they’re not happy. Parents have noted that after reading this book, their kids became more attuned to animal behavior, improving their interactions with both horses and pets.
Wild Horses: Freedom and Responsibility
The book also touches on the lives of wild horses still roaming in the U.S. Readers will learn about filmmakers dedicated to their preservation and the challenges these animals face. It’s a powerful way to introduce kids to the concept of environmental stewardship and humanity’s responsibility toward nature.
Why Horses Eat So Much
The saying “eats like a horse” isn’t just a phrase — it’s the truth! Horses spend most of their day munching on grass and grains to sustain their large bodies. Kids will be amazed to learn that horses only sleep for 1-3 hours a day, dedicating most of their time to eating and moving.
Quizzes, Puzzles, and Pony Jokes
As with most National Geographic books, "Can’t Get Enough Horse Stuff" is packed with vibrant visuals. But it’s the interactive sections — quizzes, puzzles, and pony puns — that make it truly shine. For example: "Who are the most famous horse thieves? Bonnie and Clydesdale!"
The book even includes personality tests, like “Which horse breed matches your character?” or “What traits do you share with a horse?” It’s a fun way for kids to explore their interests while imagining future careers as trainers, veterinarians, or equine therapists.
Unbelievable Discoveries: A Horse’s Hoof is Just a Giant Fingernail!
Even seasoned horse lovers will find surprises here. Kristina shares one of her favorite revelations from the book: "Did you know that a horse’s hoof isn’t its foot but just a giant toenail? And yes, it can be trimmed or even painted with safe polish!"
Mythical Horses: Let Your Imagination Gallop
A section on mythical horses will delight young fantasy fans. From Poseidon’s sea horses with fish-like tails to the ever-enchanting unicorns, this part of the book fuels creativity and sparks dreams.
The Healing Beauty of Horses
Horses’ graceful silhouettes, expressive eyes, and powerful movements captivate the heart. Many psychologists emphasize the therapeutic benefits of being around horses, from reducing stress to teaching responsibility and empathy. Watching, caring for, or simply spending time with these majestic animals offers children a profound connection to nature.
Conclusion: A Gateway to the World of Horses
"Can’t Get Enough Horse Stuff" is a perfect gift for young horse enthusiasts. Combining fascinating facts, breathtaking illustrations, and engaging activities, this book inspires kids to explore the world of horses and develop a love for nature.
If there’s a child in your life who adores horses, don’t miss the chance to share this remarkable book with them. It’s more than just reading — it’s a gateway to a world of grace, wisdom, and joy.

The Healing Power of Pet Therapy: Enhancing Well-Being with Furry Friends
In recent years, the concept of pet therapy, also known as animal-assisted therapy (AAT), has gained significant recognition in the fields of medicine and psychology. Rooted in the profound bond between humans and animals, pet therapy involves the use of trained animals to improve an individual’s emotional, physical, and mental health. Whether it’s a cuddly dog, a calm cat, or even a gentle horse, animals have a remarkable ability to bring comfort, reduce stress, and foster healing.
What Is Pet Therapy?
Pet therapy is a guided interaction between an individual and a trained animal, facilitated by a professional therapist or handler. The goal is to improve a person’s well-being, which might involve reducing anxiety, boosting mood, or even aiding physical recovery. The therapy can take place in various settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools, or rehabilitation centers.
Some common forms of pet therapy include:
Therapeutic Visitation: Pets visit individuals in settings like hospitals or care homes to offer comfort and companionship.
Animal-Assisted Therapy: Animals assist therapists in achieving specific goals for patients, such as improving motor skills or addressing psychological trauma.
Facility-Based Therapy: Resident animals in facilities provide ongoing emotional support to occupants.
Benefits of Pet Therapy
1. Emotional Support
Animals have an innate ability to provide nonjudgmental companionship. Interacting with a therapy pet can reduce feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and depression, making it particularly beneficial for individuals with mental health challenges.
2. Physical Health
The act of petting or playing with animals can lower blood pressure, improve cardiovascular health, and reduce cortisol levels. For patients undergoing rehabilitation, activities like walking a dog can also promote physical exercise.
3. Improved Social Interaction
Pet therapy encourages communication and social engagement, especially for individuals with autism, dementia, or social anxiety. Therapy animals act as social catalysts, helping people feel more comfortable in group settings.
4. Stress Reduction
Spending time with animals has been shown to release oxytocin, a hormone linked to happiness and stress relief. This is why therapy pets are often brought into high-stress environments like workplaces, disaster zones, or schools during exams.
5. Cognitive Stimulation
For children and seniors, particularly those with cognitive impairments, interacting with therapy animals can enhance focus, memory, and problem-solving skills.
Who Can Benefit from Pet Therapy?
Pet therapy can be beneficial for people of all ages and backgrounds, including:
Children with developmental disorders, such as autism or ADHD
Elderly individuals experiencing loneliness, Alzheimer’s, or dementia
Patients recovering from surgery or illness, as it can speed up recovery
Veterans dealing with PTSD or emotional trauma
Students and professionals in high-pressure environments seeking stress relief
Popular Therapy Animals
While dogs are the most common therapy animals due to their friendly nature, other animals such as cats, rabbits, horses (equine therapy), guinea pigs, and even birds are used in therapy. Each animal is selected and trained based on its temperament, behavior, and ability to interact positively with humans.
How to Get Started with Pet Therapy
If you’re interested in pet therapy, here are a few steps to consider:
Contact a Professional Organization: Look for certified pet therapy programs in your area. Organizations like Pet Partners or Therapy Dogs International provide training and certification.
Understand the Requirements: Therapy animals must meet specific health and behavioral standards to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Consult with Healthcare Providers: If you’re considering pet therapy for yourself or a loved one, talk to a doctor or therapist to discuss its potential benefits and applications.
Conclusion
Pet therapy is more than just a comforting presence; it is a transformative experience that brings immense physical, emotional, and psychological benefits. The unconditional love and warmth of animals remind us of the simple joys in life and the power of connection. Whether aiding recovery or simply brightening someone’s day, therapy pets continue to prove that healing can come with a wagging tail or a gentle purr.
By embracing pet therapy, we not only enrich the lives of those in need but also celebrate the remarkable bond between humans and their animal companions.
Thank you for reading.

Equine Empowerment: Strengthen Your Life Through Self-Awareness
Introduction
Discover the transformative power of equine-assisted experiences in fostering self-awareness, emotional resilience, and personal growth. By connecting with horses, you can unlock profound insights into your inner world, build confidence, and enhance your overall well-being. Let the wisdom of these majestic animals guide you on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
The Bond Between Humans and Horses
Horses are magnificent animals, capable of expressing many different emotions and creating strong bonds with humans. While films like "Lean on Pete" and "The Rider" may portray this transformational relationship as corny, there is truth to their deep relationship with human partners.
Horse-human interactions in Equine Assisted Learning involve a special form of communication between two animals that allows both parties to learn from one another without using verbal cues. Horses rely heavily on visual cues and body language to understand riders and communicate their intentions; they’re sensitive to even subtle signals such as eye contact or posture changes from riders.
Studies suggest that horses have an impressive capacity to read human body language and facial expressions, an invaluable asset in their relationship. Reading body language helps reduce arousal and fear when confronted by potentially dangerous situations while providing security and comfort that teaches horses to trust humans faster. Horses typically form bonds quickly - often within half an hour after meeting them for the first time!
How Horses Reflect Human Emotions
Horses have long been recognized for their ability to recognize and interpret human emotions through facial expressions, contact calls, whinnies and body contact. Furthermore, research suggests they can even correlate various attentional states through body touch with humans. Equine therapy interventions often utilize these talents as a way of supporting positive mental health and emotional well-being among people with disabilities.
One study used horses in which two animated pictures were displayed at once while a speaker played either joy or anger nonverbal vocalizations at 67 dB, with their heart rates measured before and 15s after visual stimuli. Results demonstrated that when horses saw negative images after hearing voices incongruent to what was expected of them, their HR increased more than normal indicating they misinterpreted it as violating expectations.
Horses recognize an incongruent stimulus as someone who does not meet their expectations of their caregiver, much as humans perceive other individuals, infusing neutral objects with new significance through interactions.
Developing Emotional Intelligence Through Equine Interaction
Horses have an incredible capacity for perceiving human energy and emotions, which makes them ideal partners in developing emotional intelligence. Equine Assisted Learning (EAL), an experiential learning method using horses as part of its teaching methodology, has proven beneficial in developing emotional intelligence competencies among participants in EAL sessions - according to one study published in Journal of Outdoor and Environmental Education participants who engaged with EAL demonstrated increased emotional awareness and empathy after participating in EAL sessions.
Equine-Assisted Activities facilitate healthy relationships between humans and animals by creating an atmosphere of mutual respect. Such interaction encourages high emotional engagement between interactants, cultivating a sense of belonging, trust, and empathy between individuals involved.
As prey animals, horses have extremely effective limbic systems that create and amplify emotions, as well as being highly adept at reading the body language and emotions of other animals. Horses can detect heartbeats from three miles away and sense emotions through physical contact - this makes observing horses an effective way to learn how to read cues and emotions and build trusting relationships with our horses.
Equine-Assisted Activities for Personal Development
Equine Assisted Personal Development (EAPD) is an approach that fosters personal and organizational development by harnessing the horse as an assistant. EAPD teaches participants better communication, problem solving, and leadership abilities that they can apply in everyday situations.
EAPD practitioners with knowledge in safe and effective techniques will ensure the greatest chance of success with EAPD. Look for those certified by an industry association such as Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International.
Individual EAPD sessions are provided to individuals, couples, and families on a regular basis and tailored to the goals of each person. Sessions often focus on developing muscle memory for specific life skills like self-advocacy, nonverbal communication, assertiveness, creative thinking, team building responsibility, honesty, boundaries empathy in a safe nonjudgmental environment.
Integrating Lessons from Horses into Daily Life
Spiritual connections between humans and horses can provide profound clarity for life's challenges. Listen in as today's guest Gina Yarrish describes her experience with Equine Therapy to understand how it helped her overcome fear, self-sabotage and build confidence.
Horse interaction not only teaches participants to become more mindful of their bodies' physical sensations, but it can also help them tune into their emotional states and become more empathetic towards others - aiding resilience against trauma triggers while strengthening personal and professional relationships alike.
One case study explored how parents of special needs children developed coping strategies through participation in a 10-week horse-facilitated support group. Qualitative phenomenological analysis demonstrated how parents discovered new ways of self-care by connecting with their horses as nonjudgmental partners and mirrors for emotions; insights were then translated into daily activities and coping strategies for improved self-care and quality of life, which they were also able to transfer across relationships in their community, workplace and social services programs.
Conclusion
Equine empowerment offers a unique pathway to self-awareness and personal growth by fostering connections between humans and horses. Through their gentle presence and intuitive responses, horses help individuals reflect on their emotions, build confidence, and develop deeper self-understanding. Embracing this experience can lead to lasting transformation, resilience, and empowerment in all aspects of life.

Integrating Nature into Equine-Assisted Training: Benefits and Techniques
Equine-assisted training is much more than a therapy with horses. Its purpose is to tap into the profound connection between humans, animals, and the natural world. By intentionally applying nature into sessions, facilitators create a setting that supports emotional safety, fosters client trust, and increases the overall effectiveness of training. Let's consider some of the benefits and some techniques to help it come together.
Why Nature Matters in Equine-Assisted Training
Nature has a way to ground us. Maybe it's just the sound of leaves rustling, the warmth of sunlight on our skin, or the earthy smell of fresh hay-the natural world is instantly soothing and present. When combined with therapy with horses, this calming effect goes into overdrive. Here's why:
Enhances Emotional Safety
A natural environment may help alleviate feelings of stress or anxiety and thus provide a confidential setting in which clients can access and work through feelings they are experiencing. Being outdoors with horses makes it possible for clients to step away from the pressures of daily life and become more relaxed.
Strengthens Client Trust
Horses are naturally sensitive to their environment and to the emotions of those around them. The wide open spaces where sessions take place mirror the trust and connection we look to build with our clients, which helps facilitate the sense of seeing, being heard, and understood by clients.
Deepens the Therapeutic Experience
Equine-assisted training that incorporates nature allows the mindfulness to be lived organically. Whether watching how a grazing horse consumes grasses in a pasture, or walking side by side down a wooded path, these can all become metaphors for trust, presence, and resilience.
Techniques for Integrating Nature
Ready to take your equine-assisted learning sessions to the next level? Here are some practical ways to bring nature into your work:
Choose Scenic and Safe Locations
Look for places that are naturally beautiful but also safe for horses and clients. It can be open fields, woods trails, or paddocks full of greenery.
Incorporate Mindfulness Exercises
Ask the clients to listen to the sounds, smell, and sights around them before interplaying with the horse. One simple activity, such as listening to birdsong or touching the texture of a horse's mane, can help immerse them in the present moment.
Encourage Interaction with the Environment
Teach people about being in nature. Observe how horses interact with their surroundings. For example, moving into the shade on a hot day or which plants to nibble on can open great discussion on instincts, needs, and self-care.
Blend Techniques into Workshops and Gatherings
During ARCH Gatherings, In-Person Facilitator Trainings, or the SEEN Through Story Workshop, consider using outdoor activities that really bring the client-horse-nature connection out. These are moments that can be metabolized in and out of session.
Arch Membership: A Community That Supports You
Integrating nature into equine-assisted training isn’t just about technique—it’s also about having the right support. As part of an Arch Membership, facilitators gain access to a community of like-minded individuals who share insights, tools, and experiences. Whether through ARCH Gatherings or other resources, you’ll find ongoing inspiration to deepen your practice and create meaningful change.
The Power of Connection
At its root, equine-assisted training is a matter of connection: with the horse, with the client, and with the world around us. By including nature in this work, we step into something timeless and healing for our clients to really grow in.
So, step outside, touch the earth with your feet, feel the sun on your face and the quiet presence of a horse beside you. It is in these simplest natural moments that the deepest transformations occur.
