Buddie: The Bachelor Party was their second official date!
Still Here!
Buck and Eddie's second date.
Buck and Eddie had a blast when they partied like it was 1999 in 7x6!
Be clear, Buck and Eddie have had many dates in CANON but the majority of them happened at the loft or at Eddie's house while they were spending family time with Chris and when Buck took his husband Eddie and their son Chris to Equine Therapy in 5x14.
However, the truth is they've had two official dates where they went out and it was just the two of them; one was in 6x13 when they went to the Poker Game (related posts linked here and here) and the second one was in 7x6 after Chimney didn't show up for the bachelor party (video above).
Reminder, in 6x17, Buck told Eddie he sucked at dating (related post linked here) but the truth is they only suck at dating when they date other people, i.e., Buck when he dates/dated Abby, Ali, Taylor, Natalia and now T*mmy; and Eddie when he dated Ana, Marisol and Kim (Shannon is not included because they never really dated since they met in high school and got married after he got her pregnant).
Buck and Eddie's dates go very well when they date each other.
We Buddie shippers were robbed of the karaoke scene (clip of it linked here) but from the few snippets that were included in 7x6, it's easy to see Buck and Eddie were having the time of their lives together. They were sitting on top of each other like they always do and they were pressed together from their shoulders to their knees.
Furthermore, they share EMOTIONAL AND ROMANTIC CHEMISTRY that's filled with SEXUAL TENSION and it's unmatched by any interactions they've had with any of their previous love interests.
The kitchen scene proved that and neither of them took off a piece of clothing but it was the hottest f~cking scene in the history of 9-1-1. Also, please note, it didn't include any "daddy kink jokes" because they weren't needed👀!
All they have to do is look at each other and nothing else matters.
Buck has only flirted and pursued Eddie Diaz and HE'S NEVER CONFUSED WHEN HE DOES IT (post linked here)! After looking at the totality of their interactions in CANON, a person would have to be totally oblivious, in denial, blind or actively choosing to misunderstand that Buck and Eddie are in love with each other. They're the love of each other's lives and NO ONE, including T*mmy Kinard will EVER BE ABLE TO COMPARE OR COMPETE!
When Buck and Eddie go CANON, they'll be the sexiest, hottest and most IN LOVE relationship either of them have ever had and it's going to be magnificent!

Hey !
I just found this cute prompt : "It sure does, cowboy. And sharin' this moment with you makes it all the more special. I don't wanna be anywhere else but right here, by your side." can you do this with my dear Terry, pretty please ?
You fall in love with Terry around a campfire under the stars in Montana.
You'd been coming to the ranch for months with your niece as part of the Equine Therapy Program recommended by her therapist. You had watched him from afar for weeks, always hovering as he worked alongside of her, talking and brushing down Baulderdash the Pony.
He got that you were protective, who wouldn't be after someone you loved had been hurt in such a way, especially by their own family members.
There were rumours around town that he used to be a cop back in New York before he'd purchased the Ranch and set up his business supporting people with PTSD and sexual assault survivors through equine therapy. Each of his counsellors including himself were highly recommended.
He's seen some shit. You can tell by the way he talks sometimes. Occasionally when Amelie is out on a ride with one of the other counsellors the two of you share a coffee on one of the benches outside. He's warm and amicable, he describes what your niece is going through as a process, he praises both if your resilience. He knows coming to terms with shit isnt easy.
He's the first person you admit your guilt to. You hadn't realised what was happening until it Amelie has ended up in the hospital. You had never realised that your sister was capable of such things. He's a good listener and you like that about him.
Truthfully there's a lot you like about him. You havent been with a man for a long time and the way he wears his plaid shirts, tucked into his jeans. It does something to you.
It's on the kids camping trip that you realise you've caught feelings. You see the way he interacts with them, teaching them how to put marshmallows on a stick, strumming his guitar as he breaks into song with gusto. The kids love it and when he looks up at you with that smile on his face, you realise you do too.

Part 9 of the Buddie Development
part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4 | part 5 | part 6 | part 7 | part 8 | part 9 | part 10
booooo!!! too little interactions this season
S5:E1 Panic
the episode title says it, but i can’t get over Eddie having a hetero panic 😂😂 someone refered to Anna as Chris’ mom and Eddie passed out 😃👍 I feel like a still don’t understand it in it’s fullest but part of it i believe is the pressure he feels from his culture to look for a new partner that is going to be forever. Or how he didn’t feel a deep connection with Anna and he’s regretting introducing her to Christopher’s life since that is what makes it extra serious.
Buck and Eddie sort of discuss his panic attack but Eddie doesn’t want to talk about it :/
S5:E2 Desperate times
Eddie is so weird about his relationship with Anna. he just looks like he’s at camp and desperetly wants to call his mom to pick him up.
S5:E6 Brawl in Cell Block 911
it’s redundant but Buck will always run like hell when he sees Eddie in danger, like when he heard the gunshot outside the hospital and tjought Eddie had been shot, he didn’t care that the prisioner was still armed, he needed to see him.
S5:E13 Fear-o-phobia
Eddie is really struggling with the PTSD and after hearing that all of his team from the army have died he spirals, really scaring Christopher. So Chris calls Buck to help Eddie calm down. And he does, Eddie opens up about everything.
S5:E14 Dumb Luck
Buck gets Christopher a slot to do equine therapy and also takes Eddie to visit Charlie, a boy that he saved the day he got shot. He’s just always looking out for them and it feels like such a partner and co-parent thing.
that was practically it for season 5, i don’t know if i missed some things but i feel like it was less interaction than any other season ☹️ granted we had a lot of backstories of other characters and this was just mainly about building their friendship and not so much about altering the dynamic, if you noticed other things or know more about Eddie and Anna’s relationship i would love to hear it!

Oh hi! So when you have the spoons would you like to tell us about your Morgan? What was its name? How old were you when you met said horse? How did it come to be yours? Fondest memory? Did it have any personality quirks? I’m so curious!
HA! This is a low spoon question - which is great because this time of year I think we're all lower spooned. At least in this hemisphere, because holidays are rough and less sun and well that's another post entirely.
Her name was Roanoke (Dare County NC, Not VA because Blackbeard and the graveyard of the Atlantic and I'm weird). She was a rescue who had been abused and neglected. I was wow, um, early twenties? Didn't have her for more than about 5 years (and gave up on horses altogether). She was kinda awful? Lol. Because of everything she'd been through. Fondest memory is kinda not so fond, but she used to try and unseat me all the time. Like, ride me under low trees etc. So we had to do a lot of work until she was okay with me. But it was super worth it. I liked her attitude though. Also how she smelled. Nothing is better than that alfalfa fresh hay clean horse smell. Except maybe how happy cows smell. Which is really weird to type out but it like makes me relax all over. Also also when she got weight on her. Just random happy thoughts like that.
I've thought about trying to do equine assisted therapy, because there's been SO many studies on how human brains respond to equine interaction, like it lights up in all sorts of different ways. But I haven't figured out how to a - afford it, or b - if I want to do the legality stuff.

Okay, so, I made this buddie framing meta a few days ago but it actually got me thinking about something else, so I'm gonna type it out.
You know, they actually kinda made a point to make us think about the dumb luck conversation at the equine therapy place with the cemetery scene in death and taxes. It's a different location, it's "outside", the outfits are similar but in different color schemes, and they are framed similarly but they give off different vibes.
Eddie in dumb luck is all about accepting help, finding hope, and all that, and the talk they have is framed in a very interesting way. For starters, they are not centered in the wider angles.
That's interesting alone, the conversation is about Eddie and getting him to find reason in life and all that, and Buck is trying really hard to be there for Eddie, to see Eddie's side and Eddie is letting him.
But the thing that gets me here is they are facing each other, they are talking, but they are always on the same side of the screen. That's a very interesting choice. They are talking, they are on the same side, they are fixing the problem. This conversation has the point of getting their friendship back on track, with them opening up about issues. (I say this because of the way Eddie left without talking it out with Buck and the whole Eddie pretending he was fine even though he was definitely not that starts to get resolved with the ending of fear-o-fobia and it's really resolved here)
And the thing is, it works, we see a lot of casual friendship moments between the two of them after that, something that was not gone, but reduced considering the shared trauma of the shooting. We have Buck gravitating to Eddie in the hospital on mayday, we have them chilling in Chris' room in hero complex, fixing the walls, Buck cooking them dinner, them referencing things they told each other, you catch my drift, we get a lot of them outside the firehouse. Until death and taxes.
The thing here is about Buck dealing with his trauma about dying, but while dumb luck brings them together in it, this scene actually pulls them apart. Again they are off-center in the frame, but they are on different sides, they also switched sides, yk, Buck is the one who needs reassurance this time and their positions are flipped.
But this time they are on different sides of the frame. Another thing is they don't face each other a lot. And considering Buck is talking about being seen and how is Eddie usually looking at Buck in some capacity all the time, it's interesting that this is not happening here.
They pretty much never look at each other at the same time, and they do show them looking at each other, is off-center and on different sides and they don't really look at each other for that long. This conversation creates a gap between them.
I think this particular conversation has a lot of layers, and it's interesting for a multitude of reasons because I think that what Eddie gets from what Buck is saying is that he doesn't see Buck in the way Buck wants to be seen and after this conversation, we stopped getting the casual friendship moments outside the clock. In 6x16, 17, and 18 we only see them interact in the firehouse or in calls, we don't even see them interact in the hospital after the bridge.
I know a few people have been talking about the similarities between season 4 and season 6 and I think that comparison is interesting here because of the way the shooting created a gap between them, that they had bridged but it's now there again.
I don't know if this makes a lot of sense, but I do know I want a mirror of the dumb luck conversation in season 7.

Restoring the Roots (Joel Miller x Therapist! reader) Chapter 3 Preview
Chapter 1 | Chapter 2
A little sneak peak of chapter 3, basically a whole lotta reader thirsting over our grumpy old man :) As always, thank you for your support and interest with this little story of mine.
Understanding the nature of the situation, and Joel’s obvious discomfort in seeking out help, you tried to make the consultation as stress free as possible, allowing him to speak first and share his thoughts about therapy. He wasn’t as hostile or cold as you anticipated, rather he shared that sense of being lost and displaced, much like your other clients who were struggling. His southern charm supplemented that as well, with his politeness overshadowing his contention towards therapy. For a second you thought he was going to disintegrate on the spot when he realized he had cursed in front of you and apologized profusely. It was charming as hell and really fucking endearing.
You tried your best to sympathize with his concerns him and validate his feelings, but fuck it was hard to concentrate. You couldn’t stop focusing on how much room he took up on the seemingly large sofa. His broad shoulders were still concealed by his coat but you didn’t miss how he sat with his legs spread open, easily dwarfing the couch that could normally seat three people. He also spoke with his hands, you noticed. A lot. You surmised it was the nerves, but again, you could get pretty animated with your hands when talking about something that excited you. You bit the inside of your cheek as you struggled to maintain his gaze and ignore how large they were, calloused from hard labour, how thick and long his fingers were.
By some miracle you managed to make it through the entire conversation without gawking incessantly and fumbling your words, even when it felt like your brain was functioning faster than your mouth. Your passion getting the better of you.
Despite what Tommy told you, Joel was sweet, albeit reserved, but that wasn’t very different from other first time clients you met. You appreciated his honesty and apprehension. His perception of therapy didn’t surprise you in the least, If you were being honest. It only made you more excited at the prospect of working with him, and showing him the power of equine assisted therapy. He did seem to light up when you mentioned how the therapy worked and the interactions with the horses. You took that as a good sign. If he was already an animal lover it would make the transition to working with horses in a close proximity much easier. While equine therapy was indeed effective, it was a much longer process when your clients were not used to working with horses or were downright terrified of them.

"Do you think Cozy Glow should have deserve a 100 spankings in the plot for insulting Flurry Heart?"
Oh no, Daeling, I would think she deserves to be incarcerated in a mental institution and forced to endure therapy with Ms Starlight until she can be deemed fit to rejoin society. This having nothing to do with the interaction between Flurry and her adult self and everything to do with her sociopathy and attempting to banish all magic from Equestria because she doesn't understand equine emotions as a filly.
But I guess spanking her as an adult is more satisfying for you?

Men's Recovery Center – Empowering You to Rebuild and Thrive
In today’s fast-paced world, men often face unique challenges that impact mental health, well-being, and overall quality of life. Rippling Waters Men's Recovery Center recognizes these specific needs and has created a comprehensive, supportive environment for men seeking to overcome addiction, trauma, and emotional challenges. Our program focuses on empowering men to rebuild their lives with resilience, self-awareness, and purpose. Set within a 400-acre private sanctuary in the Upper Catskills, our recovery center provides a serene backdrop for men to embark on a transformative journey toward lasting recovery.
Understanding the Need for a Men’s Recovery Center
While addiction and mental health challenges affect both men and women, the experiences and social pressures that men encounter are distinct. Many men feel compelled to suppress emotions to appear “strong” or resilient, leading to untreated issues that manifest in addiction, anger, and other destructive behaviors. The stigma around mental health for men often prevents them from seeking the help they need, leading to feelings of isolation, depression, and anxiety.
At Rippling Waters Men's Recovery Center, we understand that men’s emotional needs are unique, and we address these specific issues through our comprehensive men’s recovery program. This dedicated approach allows men to confront deeply held emotions, learn healthy ways to process them, and develop strong foundations for lasting change. With a focus on individual and group therapies, experiential learning, and holistic healing practices, our program equips men with tools to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and purpose.
Key Components of the Men’s Recovery Program at Rippling Waters
Our program is designed to support men on a deep, transformational level, helping them address the root causes of their struggles. Below are some of the core components that make our men’s recovery program unique:
1. Comprehensive Therapy Approach
Our therapeutic approach combines evidence-based practices with experiential therapies to foster a holistic healing journey. At Rippling Waters, we offer:
Depth Psychotherapy: A deep dive into past experiences and unresolved conflicts, helping men gain insight into their behaviors and beliefs.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT helps men identify and change negative thought patterns that contribute to their challenges.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): DBT teaches men valuable coping strategies for managing stress, regulating emotions, and building healthy relationships.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): EMDR is a powerful tool for addressing trauma and PTSD, helping men process painful memories in a safe environment.
Each therapy is tailored to meet the individual needs of our residents, empowering them to break free from negative cycles and build healthier lives.
2. Experiential and Holistic Therapies
We believe that true healing goes beyond traditional therapy and includes connection to oneself and the environment. Our program incorporates experiential and holistic therapies that encourage emotional release, self-expression, and a deeper connection to one’s inner self. These therapies include:
Equine Therapy: Working with our Friesian horses allows men to develop empathy, communication skills, and emotional awareness. Interacting with these gentle animals helps residents process emotions in a non-verbal way, which can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with verbal expression.
Eco-Therapy: Nature-based healing is integral to our program. Residents enjoy miles of hiking trails, reflective lakeside moments, and serene forest settings, allowing the natural environment to enhance their recovery experience.
Sound Baths, Yoga, and Meditation: These mindfulness practices help men reconnect with their bodies, reduce stress, and cultivate inner peace. They are especially useful for grounding and helping men feel more present in their healing journey.
3. Trauma and PTSD Support
Many men in recovery struggle with unresolved trauma and PTSD. Our program includes specialized trauma support through EMDR, Brain Spotting, and trauma-focused therapies. These tools help men safely process difficult memories, reduce symptoms of PTSD, and create room for healing and growth.
4. Building Emotional Resilience
Emotional resilience is essential for a fulfilling life. At Rippling Waters, we emphasize emotional resilience by helping men explore, express, and manage their emotions. Men are encouraged to openly discuss their experiences and challenges, promoting a greater sense of self-understanding and self-acceptance. By fostering emotional resilience, our program empowers men to handle life’s inevitable challenges without resorting to harmful behaviors.
5. Physical and Mental Wellness
Mental health and physical wellness go hand-in-hand. Our program includes wellness practices that nurture both the mind and body, promoting holistic well-being. Physical activities like yoga, guided hikes, and meditation are integral to our program, providing residents with healthy outlets for stress and physical tension. These practices also support mental clarity and enhance overall emotional health.
A Supportive, Intimate Environment
Rippling Waters Men’s Recovery Center is designed to foster a supportive, distraction-free environment. With a maximum of ten residents, our small group setting ensures each man receives personalized attention and care. The intimate environment encourages camaraderie, creating a sense of brotherhood among residents. By sharing experiences in a safe, understanding space, men build lasting connections and learn to support each other on their journeys toward recovery.
Guided by Experienced, Compassionate Professionals
Our team of highly skilled therapists and counselors bring years of experience in men’s mental health and recovery. At Rippling Waters, each resident is guided by compassionate professionals who understand the unique struggles men face. Our staff fosters a non-judgmental environment where residents feel safe to explore, express, and work through deep-rooted issues. The therapeutic alliance between our team and residents is a cornerstone of our program, providing the foundation for trust, growth, and transformation.
Long-Term Recovery and Lifelong Change
At Rippling Waters, we believe that recovery is a lifelong journey. Our men’s recovery program is designed to equip residents with the skills, insights, and tools they need to maintain their progress well beyond their time at our center. By focusing on personal empowerment, emotional resilience, and holistic wellness, we help men create a life of purpose, fulfillment, and stability.
Residents leave our program with:
Coping Skills: Strategies for managing stress, overcoming triggers, and dealing with daily challenges.
Self-Awareness: A deeper understanding of themselves, their values, and their goals.
Emotional Tools: Techniques for healthy expression, emotional regulation, and communication.
Support Networks: Lasting friendships and connections formed through shared experiences.

The Impact of Equine Rescue on Local Communities in New Jersey
Equine rescue organizations, like Horse Rescue in New Jersey, can renovate the lives of horses as well as their service communities. Equine rescue groups rescue, rehabilitate, and find new homes for horses in need, which touches these organizations far beyond the barn doors. Let's see how equine rescue in New Jersey serves to enrich local communities with a spirit of compassion and responsibility.
1. Education and Awareness Outreach
New Jersey equine rescues are an important source of educational outreach through operations. Most equine rescues have workshops, seminars, and community events educating the general public about the care of horses, horse welfare, and the importance of responsible ownership practices. Education leads to an understanding of animal welfare concerns and responsible practices of the owners of the horses.
It is through these organizations that the public becomes knowledgeable about the abuse of horses, such as abandonment and neglect. This, in turn, helps towards the growth of a better-informed and more vigilant community to prevent such cases. New horse rescue of america in New Jersey is very actively involved with schools and local groups, which makes it have a long-term effect on generations to come.
2. Creation of volunteer opportunities
Animal rescue organizations for horses depend on support from the community, and volunteering is a very good way through which local residents can get involved in meaningful ways. Volunteers come in to share their time and skills either by participating in hands-on care for the horses, organizing events, or assisting in fundraising efforts.
The volunteer opportunities provide an avenue for sense and camaraderie among participants. Various people from different walks of life come with an interest in animal welfare and then proceed to produce life-long relationships and collaborations that bolster community bonds.
3. Promoting Mental Health and Well-being
Interacting with horses can have therapeutic benefits, which greatly help improve mental well-being.
