Citroën Visa Club, 1978. The Visa was the first Citroën to share a platform with Peugeot (from the 104) after the PSA takeover . It was unusual in being available with both longitudinal and transversally mounted engines. the entry level Club used Citroën's 652cc flat twin air-cooled engine from the 2CV mounted in line. More expensive versions used Peugeot's PSA-X 4 cylinder engine mounted transversally. Also unusual was the car's dashboard with a cylindrical "satellite" with controls for wipers, washers, horn, indicators, headlamps and flashers that could be reached by the driver's fingers without moving their hand off the steering wheel.

Hi Femme! I'm someone in my early 20s preparing to job-hunt. I want to ask for your thoughts... are 3 months worth of one undergrad internship worth it to head straight into entry-level jobs? It's been a dilemma of preparedness that I've been mulling over lately :') thank you if answered, and have a good day ahead
Hi love!
Yes, I believe an entry-level job should be entry-level. Share how your relevant internship/academic and extracurricular experiences have helped you acquire XYZ skillsets (hard and soft skills) and how these skills will make you a value-add if hired for XYZ role.
Also, don't underestimate the importance of showing your enthusiasm for the role, company, team, industry, and all company-related goals. Passion, adaptability, and a desire to learn/implement new skills/knowledge right away at this stage of your career can help tremendously.
Best of luck, and hope this helps xx

Something that really pisses me off is when white gay men think they have the right to be Karens to service workers because they're gay. Like, you’re not being shady; you’re not being “real.” You’re not being a diva. You’re not Bianca Del Rio. You’re an adult getting your overpriced, 2pm milkshake from Starbucks, and you’re exploiting an already exploited worker who’s just trying to pay their damn bills without having their sense of self-worth further destroyed. It’s not cute.

Books read in December 2023
The Balkan Trilogy by Olivia Manning
Apparently Manning's WWII trilogy is quite popular in the UK but I literally never heard of it until 2 years ago. Set in Romania and Greece the first part of the trilogy has a book each which roughly corresponds to 1 year of WWI and how our protagonist, a newly married British expat, experiences it.
Witty, dry, and kind of devastating. I will be checking out the other trilogy that concludes the war in January.
The Grimmer by Nathan Ruthnum
Horror YA. Not usually my bag and the main evil is a bit thin on the ground but this was enjoyable, a solid read, and probably the kind of YA I would have loved when I was a kid.
The Employees by Olga Ravn
Lived up to the hype! A series of monologues between humans and humanoids. A lot of this book is reading between what happens. Very touching and philosophical. A great mood piece.
Bright Unbearable Reality by Anna Badkhen
These were a series of essays, mostly on migration, forced and natural. Badkhen is an accomplished writer but a lot of these left me cold. Reminded me a bit of Surrender, another non-fiction book I read earlier.
Entry Level by Wendy Wimmer
Loved this! Solid short story collection with some speculative bits thrown it. An ideal read.
A Libertarian Walks Into a Bear by Mathhew Hongoltz-Hetling
Kind of ridiculous non-fiction about the small town of Grafton, New Hampshire and how it's taken over by a bunch of tax hating libertarians. It read almost like a novel so it was a lot of fun.
Child Craft by Amy Cipolla Barnes
This was a flash short collection which is normally not my thing and this wasn't exactly either. I think the problem with flash is that it's too short. I never have time to really absorb stuff before it's on to the next.
Playful, dark and well-written though.

How is it that a 2D disposition of numbers has mathematical rules? Is wonderfully absurd.

[ID: Animated man Bob Parr screaming and pointing at paper, holding his glasses in his other hand. //End ID] I had this experience just yesterday while looking at job opportunities. One Entry Level job required you to have 10 years of experience. I'll admit, I felt kinda useless while searching, but after I stopped looking for a bit, I thought back to the ridiculousness of it all. Why do any "entry level" positions require you to have any experience whatsoever? Why must you have anything more than a few weeks of knowledge? Why do so many request several years of experience for something someone should just be getting into? I feel like I should start reporting job positions like these.
ENTRY LEVEL MEANS NO EXPERIENCE. IT MEANS NO PORTFOLIO OF RELEVANT SAMPLES. ENTRY LEVEL IS ENTRY LEVEL

If you can, please help me
I need to find work urgently to pay for a fine. But my family won't let me work unless it's a high-paying job, which I can't get because I don't have a degree.
I'm stuck. I'd need to keep my job a secret or I'll get thrown out without anywhere to go. But my fine will get bigger if I can't pay. My fees for traveling to a workplace aren't paid for. I'm desperate at this point, I don't know what to do.
Please, if you know anything, help me!
