Growing up I was always told "you're too sensitive".. Hell, sometimes I'm still told that! I used to take it as a negative but lately I've shifted my mindset about this usually negative statement to a positive one. . . I feel things. I feel things deeply. Truthfully, I feel like that makes me a better person and it especially makes me a better Physical Therapist! I am empathic to a strong degree. If I see people crying, there's a good chance my eyes are at least watering. I feel like it helps me understand people better, helps me put myself in their shoes. I try to look at situations from every angle to see how I would feel from a different perspective. Do I always do this? No. Do I mess up? Who doesn't? But overall I try my best. . . So I cry, I get upset, I get angry, I feel things, I show my emotions... I honestly don't see this as a negative. So often people are told to hide their feelings and emotions and what good does that do? A year ago, we had 6 chickens. 2 Brahmas, 2 Rhode Island Reds and 2 Comets. We are now down to 3. One of our chickens turned out to be a rooster.... and a MEAN rooster at that 👹 he kept attacking us, so we gave him to the owner of the local feed store. Then Zaxby got taken by something a few weeks back... and we lost HeiHei a few days ago. As an empath and INFJ, my heart BLEEDS for animals and losing them has been killing me. I know, I know. It’s just part of farm life, but my animal empathy runs deep. I’ve literally cried cause I hit a butterfly with my truck.
