i'm bored here's every shadowhunter completed series summarised:

tid: girl falls for two british men. understandingly, she is in the trenches

tlh: girl marries boy weirdly emotionally attached to side piece's jewelry.

tmi: girl's abusive estranged father is in town. and her brother wants to fuck her. no wait both her brothers. no wait—

tda: reenactment of dress by taylor swift but it is a 17yo father of four and a girl w a sword

I feel like they are going to be in their iconic couple era for TWP.

My favorite thing about Blackstairs is how they had a relationship in reverse like

12-14: Engaged with 4 kids and an administrative full time job

14-17: Married with 4 kids and an administrative full time job

17-19: unmarried, but seriously together, on a travel year, working part time for fun and traveling, shared custody of the kids

20: Teens in love! (TWP era— Dru’s at school, Ty’s at the scholomance, and Tavvy is pretty settled into life with Helen, Aline, and their baby)

the dark artifices is just THAT shadowhunters series for me, like not only did it introduce and lay down some wild stuff for the wicked powers to take over, but everything happened in there. malec wedding, clace proposal, two parabatai falling in love (the literal bible verses said IN BED ahem), robert lightwood's past with michael, literally all the couples stories being fire (kieraktina, diana and that guy from the hunt, kit and ty, julian and emma ofc), jem and tessa (no explanation needed, i just love seeing them), and the whole vibe at the L.A. institute and in the seelie and unseelie courts, and THULE which was insane. if the wicked powers can't beat that, then i'm afraid nothing else comes close to it for me

the struggle between wanting a tv show of your favourite books so you can watch edits of your favourite characters and the knowledge that if the actors don't look exactly like the characters in your mind you're going to kill everyone in that show and yourself

Do you think parabatai celebrate their anniversaries? Like every year on the day of their parabatai ceremony they go out and find cool demons to fight together? Or, in true Shadowhunter fashion, they give each other weapons? Do they have certain weapons for each anniversary (i.e. dagger for ten years, sword for 20, spear for 30, etc.) Because if they don’t they should totally start doing this.

Cassie gave us the most human and well-constructed male character in a fantasy saga and you'll decided to ignore him, the lack of good taste is incredible.

I think there should be a scene in twp where Emma, Kit, and Ash all stand in a room together and cause Julian, Ty, and Dru to simultaneously come to the horrifying realisation that they all have the same type (blonde. Jace Herondale adjacent.)
