She loves to take her time to get ready. And to wear anything she feels comfortable in (since it’s hard to find comfy and stylish maternity clothes - but usually she just improvises 🥰)

Does she have any rituals or other things she must do or wear?

Luna likes to listen to music while getting ready. Here are some of her songs she listens and sings along to.

She loves to wear the silver and gold necklaces she got as a Christmas present from Ethan and Hayley with the twins names Kehlani Mae and Alaia Rose engraved on it.

As well as her engagement ring she got from Bryce on Valentines Day.

How will they get there?

Either by using one of their Jeeps or walking (if it’s close by).

Bryce Lahela

What will your MC and their date be wearing?

Bryce likes casual wear. Such as jeans and a shirt. But he can dress up fancy when the occasion calls for it.

Does he have any rituals or other things he must do or wear?

While getting ready he checks off his list of things to do. He never forgets to put on his ”special lotion“.

When Luna once asked him why? Bryce’s reply was ”Getting pretty takes time.“ Luna just laughed and went on to get dressed.

Keiki Lahela

What will your MC and their date be wearing?

Something casual or a tight dress. With lots of earrings, rings and necklaces.

Does she have any rituals or other things she must do or wear?

Keiki loves to spend time at the beach: sunbathing, diving, surfing. Anything that gets her into the water.

She loves to put on some lip gloss in the shade Coral Crush (it’s her favorite - since orange is her favorite color 🧡)

How will they get there?

By car. Keiki doesn’t really like to walk, but she’ll do it if someone asks and if it’s not too far.

Koa Haulani

What will your OC and their date be wearing?

Jeans and a shirt. Or even a suit and tie.

How will they get there?

By using their cars or walking -if it’s within walking distance - and if Koa can convince Keiki to walk there (she’s not fan of walking.)

Maxine Moore

What will your OC and their date be wearing?

Maxine likes anything with leather and a side slit and some high heels. But some jeans a t-shirt and her favorite pair of Dr. Martens is her go to outfit (sometimes she borrows a pair of Dr. Martens from Luna, since they have the same size.)

She loves to wear a couple of necklaces paired with her favorite earrings.

Her favorite perfume tasting like sea salt and her perfume L'Essence from Balenciaga it has notes of vanilla, amber and musk it’s very woodsy. So exactly what Maxi likes.

Adam Sinclair

What will your OC and their date be wearing?

Adam likes to wear something comfortable when he and Maxi go out. Nothing too fancy. Though he does wear a suit & tie when the occasion calls for it (and he knows for a fact that Maxi loves to watch him get dressed 😅)

Does he have any rituals or other things he must do or wear?

Adam loves to take his dog Knox for a walk to the beach before he goes anywhere.

He also wears a his mothers necklace to always keep her close. He started wearing it after his mom passed from cancer.

How will they get there?

They either use Maxi‘s Jeep or Adams motorcycle or Adam’s car he calls Baby (yes he calls his car Baby just like Dean Winchester calls his ’67 Chevy Impala, baby)

Hayley Valentine-Ramsey

What will your MC and their date be wearing?

Hayley loves to dress to the nines. Like this gold dress (see above). It’s her favorite it was a gift by Ethan. Given to her for their first anniversary. It’s still her favorite.

She usually pairs her dresses with high heels.

Does she have any rituals or other things she must do or wear?

Hayley loves to wear red lipstick. And very little jewelry, except for her engagement and wedding ring.

She loves to get pampered. Face masks (as you can see Jenner loves face masks too 😂). She, her sister Bella, her best friend Sienna and Jackie love to get ready together. Make-up, hair everything. Manicures and pedicures.

Ethan Ramsey

What will your MC and their date be wearing?

Ethan loves a fitted and classic suit. He finds that a tie isn’t always necessary.

Does he have any rituals or other things he must do or wear?

Ethan usually shaves before he and his wife go out. Hayley tells him not to. He does it just to annoy Hayley.

How will they get there?

They’d use Ethan’s car. Since Hayley doesn’t really like to drive through Boston.

Hayley always says ”These people who shouldn’t be allowed to drive will only annoy me and drive my blood pressure up the wall. No thanks I don’t want to spend time in the ER in my gorgeous dress while waiting on test results.“

Addison Dalton

What will your MC and their date be wearing?

Addison loves looking glam and sexy. But she also loves jeans and t-shirt looks.

Will they need a babysitter?

Addison will make sure that both she and Sam are going out, they’ll organize a baby sitter. They’d use Jordan (Sam has mixed feelings about Jordan - but he’s good with Mason and Mickey so he looks past it.)

How will they get there?

They’ll use either Robin or Addis car to get anywhere.

Robin Flores

What will your MC and their date be wearing?

Robin loves his suits. You’ll rarely catch him without wearing a suit. Though maybe Addison can convince him to wear jeans and a t-shirt 😉

How will they get there?

He’ll definitely going to use his own car. Or let Addi drive his ”car“ (though he doesn’t like others driving his baby 🤣)

Gretel van Andresen

What will your OC and their date be wearing?

Gretel loves anything with leather (not just because Grey secretly likes seeing her in leather. But because she feels good while wearing leather.)

Heels are her favorite to wear. Red or black heels are her favorite.

Does she have any rituals or other things she must do or wear?

Gretel loves to take a relaxing bath, preferably with lavender salt.

She also loves to use her favorite perfume smelling like cherries. She puts it on after she’s done with her make-up and put on her clothes and shoes.

How will they get there?

Preferably by any transportation possible, except teleportation. Which Gretel hates. Even though Grey uses it to annoy her.

Grey

What will your OC and their date be wearing?

Anything tailored to his body. Anything with leather that also allows a lot of movement and places where he can stash his weapons. His powers alone won’t always help him out.

Does he have any rituals or other things he must do or wear?

Before he goes anywhere he likes to eat something with vegetables, since Grey is a vegetarian and a nice cup of hot, brewed green tea. He doesn’t drink any caffeine.

How will they get there?

By car or Teleportation (he loves to annoy Gretel by teleporting since he knows she doesn’t like it to much.)

Sam Dalton

What will your MC and their date be wearing?

A suit and tie (Emma helps him choose which one looks the best on Sam.)

How will they get there?

Sam usually calls Carter to pick them up.

Will they need a babysitter?

Yes they do organize a sitter. Sam complains about Jordan but Jordan is good with Mickey and Mason so he endures it for the twins sake.

If Jordan is unavailable, he coordinates it with Addi.

They have shared custody of the twins. So they always see who’s available to look after the twins if both Sam and Addi are out for the night.

Emma Anderson

What will your MC and their date be wearing?

Emma loves it when she and Sam March color wise and outfit wise. So she usually picks the dress and tries to find something suitable in Sam’s walk in closet.

Elegant and unique dresses are her vibe. Her best friend Jenny has often times been her savior when it comes to picking the right outfit.

Does she have any rituals or other things she must do or wear?

She loves to wear her engagement ring and her wedding band.

Emma loves jewelry but not too much. Just enough.

How will they get there?

They usually let Carter pick them up. But there have been occasions when either she or Sam drove one of their cars.

Will they need a babysitter?

Yes. As much as Mason and Mickey might complain that they’re old enough to stay alone at home, Emma and Sam still think it’s better if someone looks after them. Otherwise they’d destroy the house with their experiments 🤣 Not that Emma didn’t have a hand in one of two of the boys experiments 🤣 But she and Sam wouldn’t have the boys any other way. Experiments and all.

Summary: A night of partying is over for the girls. But does that mean a new door opens for a certain other couple?

“I’ll take Addi home, if that’s okay with you,“ I say to Sam while I play with the set of my car keys.

Sam eyes me and comes to his own conclusions but doesn’t voice them aloud.

He nods

“Alright, fine by me. I’ll get everyone else home. It’s been a long night for all of us,“ he sighs and takes another long look at Addi.

Before he can start to walk towards the limousine I shout after him.

“Guess it’s going to be a longer one for you,“ he turns and gives me the finger.

I laugh and a tired smile slips onto Sams face.

As the limousine drives off I search for Addi. My gaze lands on her and I see her standing all by herself shivering. I curse for not thinking of how cold she must be.

I open the car door and gesture for her to get inside.

She hesitates for a second before climbing in. I close the door softly with a click, and go to the other side to get in myself.

I put my seatbelt on and make sure she puts hers on as well. Safety first.

Then I turn the key into the ignition and the car purrs to life.

As I back out of the parking lot of the police station, I try to figure out how to start the conversation when she beats me to the punch.

“Thank you for driving me home,“ she says in a small voice. Gone is the boisterous woman I used to know. Replaced by someone I have to get to know yet.

“Sure thing,“ I nod.

I keep my eyes on the road. There’s not much traffic at this time of day. Or should I say morning? I mean it’s after 6 am.

“Are you warm enough? I saw you shivering earlier. So I put the heat on full blast,“ I try to adjust it.

“Robin it’s fine really. You don’t have to walk around egg shells on me,“ she replies.

I take my eyes off the road for a second to really look at her.

Huh. She seems serious.

“What do you mean?“ I try to act casual.

“I know what you want to ask me,“ she sighs deeply. As if it’s inevitable.

I try to pretend as if I don’t know what she’s talking about.

“I’m giving you a lift home. You said yourself it’s okay. If you’d rather have gone with Sam and the others…“ I don’t finish the sentence.

She gives me a side long glance. I can feel it.

“You’re so full of it. It’s me you’re talking to Rob. I’m still the same Addi,“ she says to me.

“Who’s full of it now?“ I smile at her.

“Maybe you’re right,“ she laughs softly.

“I’m just trying to understand why you’re back,“ I ask the question I wanted to ask her ever since she came back, and knocked at my apartment door all those weeks ago.

She’s looking out the window at the passing streets. The city lights illuminating her beautiful face.

The silence stretches for too long and it becomes awkward.

“Can I ask you to table this conversation for another time? Please Robin…I can’t…I…“ she pleads and I can hear in her voice she means it. We’ll talk about it another day.

I take a deep breath and just nod.

“Not now or ever?“ I ask her.

“Not now. I’ll tell you. I promise,“ she replies in a sleepy voice. She turns on the radio, clearly done with the conversation. Roberta Flacks - the first time is playing on the radio soothing my soul while I keep on driving.

With directions from Addi we reach her place. It’s a little bit out of town, but with a gorgeous landscape, the scent of dew and fir trees reaching us.

I turn off the engine, park the car and get out. As we stand outside her next words stop me in my tracks.

“You want to come inside? For some coffee? I don’t know if I’ll be able to sleep tonight, and I’d love it if you’d come inside…“

When I don’t reply instantly, she makes an attempt to get inside, but I put my hand gently on her arm.

“I’d love to come inside I just want to know what you expect,“ I ask in a serious tone.

“Oh my god. I didn’t mean it like that. I just wanted some company that’s all, I didn’t want to be alone tonight…“ or ever hangs suspended in the air. She blushes and tries to turn herself away.

“Addi would you please look at me,“ I ask her and when she does her green eyes sparkle in the dim light from a nearby street light.

“I wasn’t expecting anything in return. I just wanted to make sure the next step we take. That you’re all in and not backing away at the last minute,“ is all I say.

“What’s all this we stuff?“ she asks.

“It’s long overdue don’t you think?“ I ask her playfully.

“I suppose,“ she says in a sassy tone.

We walk inside and up to the third floor. She unlocks the door and we get inside.

It’s a nice place.

It feels homey. I know sounds super cliche, but it’s true. The Daltons house never felt that way. It was more like a museum. One in which you couldn’t touch anything or play inside. You know the one where something could break and you’d get a lecture on how to be more careful. How it’s priceless.

“You’ve got a nice place Addi. It’s certainly different from the Daltons home,“ I remark.

“Their place always felt more like a museum rather than a home,“ she laughs, but it’s an empty laugh, mirroring my prior thoughts.

I nod and as I turn my head I notice for the first time what she’s actually wearing, because she took her coat off.

Damn. That dress it could bring a guy to his knees. As if it was made just for her. It’s a velvet green wrap dress.

She sees where my gaze traveled, and has a wicked glint in her eyes.

“See something you like?“ she asks knowing damn well what she’s doing to me.

“I see a lot of things I like, but I won’t get into that now,“ I say.

“That’s a shame,“ she winks at me.

I reply not looking directly at her.

“We shouldn’t start anything. At least not until you made amends with your family. You owe them that much. Starting something between us right now wouldn’t be fair to either of us,“ I say.

“Are you seriously saying no to free sex?“ she pouts

I drag my hands over my face, my scruff tickling my palm.

“I had feelings for you once Addi. I don’t want to get hurt again,“ is all I’m willing to say regarding that topic.

She has the decency to look ashamed at that.

“Also I would never use your inebriated state against you to sleep with you. When we do. I want you to be fully aware of what is happening. With no regrets in the morning,“ my voice thick with unspoken desire and she gulps audibly at my words.“

She walks over to me and cups my face gently in hers.

“I’m sorry if I ever hurt you. That was never my intention Rob,“ her eyes glisten with images tears.

“I know Addi,“ I sigh and continue taking her small hand in mine “It’s just hard to get over that, and now you’re back and it’s just…“ I trail off.

“Complicated?“ she smiles sadly.

“You could say that again,“ I nod slowly.

“Want to talk about it?“ she asks with understanding in her green eyes.

I’m about to reply when my gaze lands on her glass table with a copy of my tell-all interview with Serena Knight.

“Interesting reading material you’ve got there,“ I say in a conversational tone and tip my chin towards the table.

She turns her head and laughs.

“It is. Did you know you’re the first one to ever call me Addi?“

I look at her in surprise and then I realize what she’s trying to do.

“I see what you did there. Nice try,“ I tease her.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,“ she shrugs her shoulders in innocence.

“Right…“ I said slowly.

“Fine, I didn’t want you to think I read it. I wanted you to tell me what happened in your own words,“ she huffs out a breath of air.

I walk towards the sofa and sit down. She follows with a bottle of water and two glasses in her hands. She places both on the glass table and holds one out to me. I grab it and our fingers accidentally touch.

We both spring apart at the same time, each of us blushing and looking away like two teenagers in love for the first time.

She sits next to me and tucks her legs underneath her, and her dress rides up a little.

“So what happened?“ she takes a slow sip, and looks at me over the rim of her glass.

I blow a raspberry and say “It all started with this stupid competition,“ thinking back it was the worst thing dad could’ve done. Honestly.

“That sounds straight out of Mason Seniors handbook,“ she retorts.

“No kidding,“ I laugh bitterly and we both share a knowing look.

“You know what’s sad? We both could never live up to the Dalton’s name,“ she says thoughtfully.

I hesitate but don’t think twice about asking the next question.

“Is that the reason you and Sam were fighting so much?“

She looks into her glass, as if ti holds all the answers to her questions. But then she looks up.

“It’s one of them. At the beginning things were great with Sam, but then Mickey and Mason came along and…“

“And?“ I ask.

“I was sick and tired of the constant media frenzy that we were experiencing on a daily basis. I hated the fact that the twins were so exposed to that life. Sam insisted on hiring Naya, our publicist. We had a fight about that,“ she smacks her lips together.

“Why?“

She just looks at me, and her look silently says are-you-really-this-stupid?

“I wasn’t exactly thrilled that he hired Naya, because I didn’t want to hire a publicist to navigate our personal life. I’m not trying to discredit her work. From a professional standpoint she’s great, but I didn’t like that someone was meddling in our lives and telling me what to do you know?“

“He even hired the same publicist when he and Emma started making their relationship official. If you want to call it that,“ I say.

She closes her eyes and sighs “Really? He hired Naya to help him with Emma? God, Sam is such an idiot sometimes,“ she says.

I almost spill my gulp of water onto the table. After I recover I continue.

“Well things took a different turn, when Emma took a job at Dalton Enterprises working at the lab. I mean she has a degree in chemistry after all, so it came in handy, but Naya and Sam weren’t thrilled that she took the job. Last I heard Naya had lined up some charity work for Emma,“ I say.

Addi winces at my words “Wow, I can’t imagine that conversation between Sam and Emma went over well,“ she acknowledges.

“She was furious about it, but they made up eventually,“ I say.

She nods at that.

“You know Emma broke it off. She stormed away from Sam, telling him she was tired of being treated like a booty call, and that he‘s scared of going public,“ I say.

Addi raises her eyebrows “Good for her. She showed she has a backbone and won’t tolerate his bullshit. I knew I liked her from the start,“ she smiles to herself.

“I pushed him to not let her go. He finally grew a pair and told her what he felt instead of hiding it,“ I take another sip, craving something stronger than water, but since I have to drive back home alcohol is not a good idea. I don’t want to be pulled to the side by the cops for driving under the influence.

She smiles broadly at me, so wide that I give her a side-ways look.

“What? Why are you smiling like that?“ I ask her.

“You’re such a teddy bear. Deep down you’re such a good guy, the woman who snags you away will be so lucky,“ her gaze wistful.

I snort and she nudges me with her shoulder playfully and accidentally spills water on my jeans.

I jump back from the sofa.

“Oh no I’m sorry. God I’m such a klutz,“ she says and gets a towel from the kitchen to dab away the water, but I take it from her and try to do it myself.

She tries holding back her laughter.

“You look like you peed yourself,“ she says between laughs.

“Look at you, being all funny,“ I retort.

“You should see your face right now,“ she laughs even harder.

I roll my eyes, but when she stops laughing realizes how close we are standing to each other. We stare into each others eyes, a hair breath apart. Her mouth opened and form an o, and she stares at my lips, but then she takes a step step back. Not willing to go any further. I understand it, but still I would’ve loved it if we shared at least one kiss, but I won’t push her. I know firsthand that if you push someone, you make them bolt into the other direction.

I hand her back her kitchen towel, and she takes it from me.

“I should probably go, it’s late and….“ Trying to walk out of her apartment, but finding myself unwilling to go just yet.

She grips my arm

“Or you could stay? I have a spare bedroom you can use,“ she offers.

I’m feeling torn between staying and going.

Going home would be the sensible thing to do, but when have I been sensible when it comes to Addi? Never actually.

She still stares unabashedly at me.

I gnaw on the inside of my cheek.

“If it’s not too much trouble I’d like to take you up on the offer,“ I ask.

She smiles brightly.

“I wouldn’t have offered otherwise Rob,“ she begins walking to the spare bedroom and I follow quietly behind her.

She opens the door and it reveals a room, painted in a soft blue shade. White curtains, a soft light blue carpet swallowing my footsteps.

The dark iron of the bed sticking out, covered by a dark blue duvet.

It looks so inviting. I’d just like to lay in it and watch Netflix and eat pizza.

“You look like you’re going to ask the bed to marry you,“ she snickers.

“You’re actually not far off,“ I reply.

She walks to the cupboard painted in white and gets out an old shirt of mine. It was from a concert. The picture of the band almost faded from too many times of being washed.

She hands it to me, almost shyly.

I take it, but before she lets go I take her hand.

“You had it? All this time?“ I ask her wonderment laced in my tone.

She nods.

“I slept in it. It comforted me,“ she admits and stares at it.

“You should keep it,“ I cover her hand around the shirt and she just stares at me.

“But what will you wear to sleep? It’s cold, I don’t want you to freeze,“ she walks back to the cupboard and rummages inside, coming up empty-handed.

“It’s fine Addi. I’ve slept without a shirt before,“ I say as I take off my shirt to prove I don’t feel cold, but my skin betrays me by breaking out in goosebumps.

“You might want to tell that to your skin,“ she gestures to my exposed upper body.

“Nothing escapes your gaze does it?“ I chuckle.

She shakes her head, while looking me up and down.

“Trust me I’m drinking all this in,“ she says.

With that she bids me goodnight, and closes the door.

I can hear her soft feet padding to the other bedroom until she closes the door.

I get into bed and it smells like vanilla. Kind of like her, which makes it even harder to find sleep, but soon my eyelids droop and I fall asleep, wishing for Addi to lie next to me.

After some time I feel soft hair in my face. Trying to get it out of my face I hear a soft sigh, and realize Addi snuck inside and is covering me almost with her whole body. Wearing nothing but my old shirt. I smile and tuck her closer into me.

Never have I ever felt better than right here, right now.

We’re at the police station, and we all sit on super uncomfortable cots.

Addi and I got our clothes and coats back, so we aren’t shivering that much anymore.

“I’m sorry Addi, I shouldn’t have asked that, it was insensitive of me,“ I don’t have to turn my head too much, since she sits right next to me.

Jenny and Sofia took the cot opposite us.

“Yeah, it was insensitive, but you don’t have to be sorry Emma. It’s just a long story,“ Addi bites her lip and sighs.

“Look around we’re in a jail cell, who knows when we’ll get bailed out. It’s not like we have something better to do,“ Sofia lets out a huff of air, and crosses her arms over chest.

Addi shrugs and seems to be uncomfortable by the turn the conversation took.

I give her a side hug

“You can share as much or as little as you want, whatever makes you feel comfortable. Just know you can always turn to us,“ I squeeze her tight, she smiles gratefully at all of us.

“Yeah we can…“ Jenny starts saying, when Sofia, Addi and I say “No,“ at the same time.

“Party poopers,“ Jenny crosses her arms over her chest and continues

“I was going to say, before I was rudely interrupted, we can all have a slumber party,“ she says.

Sofia looks with disdain at Jenny and says

“I won’t braid your hair, have a pillow fight or giggle like a school girl,“ she says with a finality to her tone.

“Have you never been to a slumber party before?“ Jenny looks at her with sympathy in her eyes.

“I won’t dignify that with an answer,“ Sofia scolds

“Meaning no,“ Jenny purses her lips together.

“If you must know, my dad was very strict. I didn’t really have slumber parties or things like that,“ Sofia crosses one leg over the other.

“I’m sorry to hear that, but look on the bright side, now you can throw one of your own,“ Jenny pats Sofias knee.

Sofia’s sullen expression crumbles into a soft smile.

“How about matching tattoos to commemorate this moment?“ I ask around into the silence.

“Absolutely not,“ Sofia says.

However, Addi and Jenny are totally for it, so Jenny nudges Sofia with her shoulder and

”Come on Sof.“

“If you stop calling me Sof I’m in,“ she says.

“Yay. Did you guys hear? Sofi is in,“ Jenny squeaks and hugs her, while Sofia pats her small back softly, a smile tucking at the corners of her lips, she untangles Jenny’s arms from her.

“Alright enough with the hugging,“ and leans back against the wall of the cell.

Sets of footsteps has us all looking up towards the cell door.

Officer Kane opens the door and it swings wide open to reveal two familiar faces. Sam and Robin. Robin appears to be holding back a grin, or at least trying to. Sam‘s face is set in a serious grimace. How brow furrowed. Though a corner of his mouth lifts.

I wonder who called Robin.

As if she can sense my thought Addi raises her voice.

“Well, we all had one phone call, so I used mine to call Robin,“ she says while pulling her coat tighter around herself.

We all just stare at her.

“I can smell the tea from a mile away,“ Jenny snickers loud enough for everyone to hear.

“Not now Jenny,“ I whisper loudly.

“Just saying,“ she murmurs.

Sam and Robin get out of the way, as we all get up and walk outside. It feels like a walk of shame.

Sam eyes me and I can tell from his gaze that we’ll address this later when we’re home.

Officer Kane directs his questions at Sam.

“What are the charges, Officer?“ Sam asks slowly as if he’s trying with everything he’s got to be patient.

Officer Kane takes a clipboard and clears his throat before he reads the charges out loud.

“Well let’s see. Jaywalking. Holding up traffic. Public indecency. Lying to a Police Officer. Trying to bribe an Officer with a lap dance, should I go on Mr. Dalton?“ he looks up at Sam, who just shakes his head.

“No, that’s quite enough Officer,“ Sam says and sighs.

Robin snickers next to him, but turns it into a cough when Sam glances his way.

“Sorry, soar throat,“ Robin explains pointing to said throat.

Yeah right. No one believes that for a second.

“Will this go on their permanent record?“ Robin asks after recovering from his laughing, er I mean coughing.

Officer Kane shakes his head

“Not this time Mr. Flores, we’ll let them off with a warning. Should this repeat it’ll go on the permanent record, depending on how severe the charges are,“ Officer Kane says and puts away the clipboard.

He reaches for a piece of paper, that he hands to Sam to sign, he puts his signature underneath with a flourish, and hands it back to Officer Kane.

“You’re free to go ladies,“ he says to all of us. Holding back a smile Officer Kane gives Jenny a lingering look. She winks at him and walks out the door.

“Let’s go,“ Sam says. Together we all walk outside into the cold winter air.

As I look above I see the stars twinkling in the night sky.

I totally forgot about the @choicesmonthlychallenge for Thanksgiving 🙈 but I came up with a moodboard and a small fiction inspired by TNA 2

I haven’t been this nervous since I waited for my prom date to show up. Sam never stopped teasing me about it, cause I was almost late for my own prom.

Now, I’m standing in front of Sams apartment and I’m not sure if he would open the door, especially for me.

I adjust my tie, that suddenly seems too tight, clutching the bottle of wine I got for tonight, afraid it‘ll slip through my suddenly sweaty palms.

Gnawing on my lip, I’m trying to loosen up the tie a bit, when the door opens to reveal Emma in a festive blue dress, that clings to her body.

She can’t hide her surprise to see me standing at the doorstep, her mouth forming an o.

“Robin what a nice surprise,” trying to cover up her surprise she gestures for me to come inside.

I hesitate to follow her, and she pauses.

“Are you coming,” she asks.

“I‘m not sure if I‘m welcome…“ I let the words hang in the air.

We haven‘t spoken since I got fired from the company, and even then we weren’t on good terms.

Just look at the tell all. They’re probably still mad about that.

“Em? Who‘s at the door?”

I hear Sams voice from inside, coming closer and then his body fills the door frame.

“Robin...?”

He seems just as surprised to see me as Emma was a few seconds ago.

“This was a bad idea, I shouldn’t have come…”

I‘m about to turn on my heel and leave, when I feel Sams strong hand grip my elbow.

He‘s smiling at me.

“You didn‘t let me finish. What are you doing outside, get in here. We can‘t celebrate Thanksgiving without you. You‘re family after all,” he says and drags me inside.

I get choked up about it. I wasn‘t expecting this warm of a welcome.

Inside the apartment everything is decorated to fit the Thanksgiving theme to a t.

The table is decked with fine china and everyone is either seated at the table or mingling around the apartment.

I can make out mum and dad in the corner laughing at something that Jenny is telling with wild gestures.

Mason and Mickey are sitting at the table and whisper to each other and eye the room, as if they‘re about to launch one of their crazy experiments.

I chuckle I don‘t think Sam would be too happy about that, considering it’s Thanksgiving today.

Emma leads me to the kitchen and takes the bottle of wine I forgot I was still holding.

She puts it on the counter with a loud clunk.

“Thank you for coming today you made Sam really happy, even if he doesn‘t show it. I know you did,” she smiles sweetly.

I rub my neck.

“Are you sure,” I ask the doubt obvious in my voice.

She nods.

“Frankly I didn’t know what to think of the invitation when I got it,” I respond.

“It was Sam’s idea,“ Emma says „Now go mingle,��� she nudges me along.

I almost stumble into Jenny who eyes me curiously across the rim of her wineglass, while mum and dad joined the twins at the table.

“I’m sorry,” I mutter an apology.

Jenny waves it away like it‘s nothing.

“It’s fine, nothing happened. You made it after all. I‘m really glad, I wasn‘t sure if Sam and Em would invite you after everything…” she says.

I have the gall to look away, but she brushes my arm softly, and I look at her.

“Hey, no hard feelings. Do you know how many rich and snooty people I‘ve interacted with as a fashion blogger? Too many, trust me,” she says.

“Thank you Jen, that means a lot,” smiling gratefully at her.

“So where‘s your other half,” she looks around as if someone will appear out of thin air next to me.

I look behind me confused as to who she might mean.

“What do you mean, the invitation said family only,” I say nonplussed.

“So is Addison not part of the family,” she smiles and slowly takes a sip of her wine.

I open my mouth and close it with a snap, totally nonplussed.

“I don‘t know what you mean, I didn‘t know she was invited,” I try to act casual.

She raises her eyebrows.

“You‘re so full of it, Robin Flores. I know you two hooked up. Is that why she didn’t show? Cause of her walk of shame?”

Her eyes glint mischievously.

I close my eyes briefly trying to decide what to tell her, and opt for the truth.

It‘ll come out anyway.

“Not so loud,” I hiss at Jenny, looking around to make sure no one heard her.

Dragging my hand nervously through my hair.

“And for your information, we went on a couple of dates. We didn’t hook up,” I correct her.

“Yet,” she deadpans.

I’m about to reply when Emma comes to a halt next to us.

She smiles radiantly.

“Hey,” Jenny waves sweetly.

“Nothing,” I say too fast.

We say at the same time, and Emma looks questionably at both of us.

“Okaaay,” she draws the word out.

This is awkward. I hope she doesn‘t suspect anything.

Feeling my cheeks redden.

Just act normal, Rob.

“Anyway, I just came over to tell you to get seated we’re going to cut the turkey and eat,” she goes to help Sam with plating.

“Not a word to the others,” I implore her.

She zips her lips closed.

I just shake my head at her silly gesture.

She loops her arm through mine, and together we take a seat.

She grins while sitting next to me.

We’re eating and laughing around the table, passing around the food.

Oh my god is that pie? God I love me some apple pie.

The twins are playing with their food, and Sam warns them playfully to stop.

They exchange smiles with each other.

Those two? They’re going to be heart-breakers when they’re older.

I can already tell, they’ll get into all kinds of trouble.

Suddenly the doorbell rings, and we all look up from stuffing our faces.

Jenny snickers next to me.

Sam pulls back his chair and gets up to answer the door.

We all look up trying to figure out who it could be.

A soft female voice can be heard on the other side, a very familiar one.

“Please come in,” Sam says warmly, a tone reserved only for those he loves.

I almost do a double take when I see Addi herself standing there in a beautiful green wrap dress, the high heels making her legs look a mile long.

Sam takes Addis coat and hangs it up.

She walks over to the table and hesitantly smiles at everyone.

Mum and dad aren’t super happy to see her, I can tell from their expressions, but they suck it up for today.

Her eyes land on me and we hold each others gaze for a second longer than necessary, before she looks away, smiling secretly to herself.

Jenny watches us with a fun look on her face.

I realize I‘m staring at her with my fork close to my mouth and set it down on my plate.

Of course she sits across from me.

“Thank you so much for inviting me,” she smiles.

“I’m happy to be able to spend Thanksgiving with family, with new and old family members,” Sam lifts his wineglass in a toast.

“Can we have some grown up juice too dad,” Mickey pipes up, while Mason warningly shakes his head at his brother.

“Not a chance, boys,“ Sam shakes his head laughing.

“Aw man,“ Mickey pouts.

“See I told you, dad would say no,“ Mason says to his brother.

Everyone around the table is quietly laughing to themselves, at the boys exchange.

“We can do an experiment with leftovers later, including some wine,” Addi adds.

“Yes,” they shout in triumph.

“Really, boys? On Thanksgiving? Is nothing sacred?”

Sam just shakes his head in defeat, knowing full-well that when the boys put their heads together they‘ll create an experiment to remember.

A few hours later, mum and dad left for the night.

The twins tucked into bed.

Jenny, Sam, Emma, Addi and I remain, spread out on various sides on the sofa and arm chairs.

Sam and I opted for a glass of whiskey. While Emma and Addi switched to water, except for Jenny.

“What are you guys grateful for this year,” asks Jenny from her position on the couch, she removed her heels and tucked her feet underneath her.

I ponder over that for a while.

What am I grateful for this year?

That’s a good question.

“The boys, and my family,” Sam kisses Emmas temple, and she leans into him.

I smile looking down into the amber liquid, swirling around in the tumbler.

“My fashion blog getting some much needed attention, and attending fashion week. And for this very fine wine,” Jenny says and takes a sip from said wine.

I laugh.

“I‘m grateful for having found a job I love, having met Sam and the twins,” Emma says.

I look at Addison.

She looks uncomfortable by this conversation.

“What about you Addi,” I ask her.

She looks up, unsure if she should say anything.

“Um…“ she fiddles with the ring on her index finger.

“I‘m grateful for my family, and being able to spend time with them,” I say.

She smiles softly at me.

“I‘m grateful, I was welcomed in after everything. It will take time for you to forgive me, I know that, but still…it‘s a nice feeling to spend it with family,” she finishes.

We all smile to each other.

Each of us hung up on their own thoughts.

“It‘s a happy Thanksgiving this year. Here‘s too many more,” I lift my tumbler to toast.

“Cheers,” echos all around me.

Addi and I exchange a longing gaze with each other across the room.

I smile to myself.

It‘s a happy Thanksgiving indeed

For @choicesmonthlychallenge Thanksgiving I decided to participate and used the prompt ”What are you grateful for?“

I decided to write a fanfic inspired by TNA 2 - from the POV of Robin Flores (because I love him and love coming up with new stories about him)

As a bonus I’ll be answering the prompts question ”What are you grateful for?“

Well, I’m most grateful for my parents. Who support me in everything, who are my rock when it’s tough. Who share laughter, joy and happiness with me.

But also help me when it’s not easy. They’re literally the only people who are there in an instant. Nothings too much trouble for them.

And I’ll be forever grateful for their unconditional love they show me in their own ways. I‘m happy to call them my parents. They tell me they’re proud of me all the time, and I love hearing that. It’s hard for me to express my feelings sometimes. But I do love them with everything I’ve got.

What is MoodMusicMonday?

Music inspires a ton of fan fiction by creating another element of a story’s setting that otherwise can’t be written. Just like Six Sentence Sunday and WIP Wednesday, MMM is an opportunity for creators to share songs for their upcoming fics–a teaser, if you will, to get readers excited for your newest adventure! This blog is for YOU!

How it works:

🎵 Submit your song inspo of your current WIP (one that you are going to publish in a week or two)! PLEASE include the following:
