guys. i fuckinf. ifucghinh. i did it. i rwad dune. slamsmy head againsy the wall.

i haven't talked about this yet (i think), but i kind of read dune twice? i realized very early on that the physical book wasn't the way to go for me. something about trying to absorb complex information when there's pretty lights and sounds and tiny tiny text on a weirdly shaped object was truly? impossible for me. BUT!! my good friend (hiii king) had given me his special annotated copy so i really wanted to read his thoughts on everything?

anyways, the way i solved this problem was to just... read everything twice. once, physically, as more of a vibes catching heavy skim, and then again, digitally, really trying to understand the minutiae of it.

this approach maybe worked? i still couldn't tell you very much of the plot, but knowing what was coming helped me enjoy it more? idfk

my favorite part wasssss the annex at the end and the chapter where the ecologist dies ❤

Beastars but instead of drama club they’re all in band

I made this on my notes app like a bit over a week ago. Some of these are based on their respective songs on the ost

Legoshi- trombone cause it’s a versatile instrument and highly under appreciated tbh

Louis- alto saxophone (is that even a question), small yet very popular and have good range, very jazzy which suits him duhh also fun facts I play alto as my “secondary” instrument

Bill - trumpet, smaller instrument yet it can be very loud and very very in your face, takes a lot to tolerate it LMAOO I also used to play trumpet

Pina- clarinet, it’s used in both of his themes. Smooth instrument, smaller and quieter in size yet still has energy to it which goes well with him

Juno- euphonium/baritone, her themes has a trombone in it but I like the idea of her playing euphonium. Highly under appreciated instrument shout out to the baritones out there

Riz- percussion I think people would normally assign him as a tuba but idk percussion suits him. They can range from quieter and softer(?) sounds like marimbas and vibraphones to loud and more bold ones like snares

Others but without explanations cause I’m lazy and I don’t care for them as much

Juno • Juno’s kind of envious. She wanted to become the Beastar. But at the same time, she’s really proud of you! She’ll brag to anyone who listens and uses it to boost her own social standing as a bonus. Els • Els is shocked, and a little overwhelmed. Now that you’re the Beastar, does that mean you’ll have less time for a little simple goat like her? She’ll be extraordinarily supportive but insecurity creeps in. You’ll have to reassure her a bit. She’s really happy about Louis-senpai becoming the Beastar too and knows you’ll do well working alongside him. Sheila • Sheila tries to catch you when you’re alone, away from a crowd. She’s a bit awkward about it but congratulates you. Once the shock wears off, she’s really excited along with you, she practically can’t believe it.  Ellen • Ellen goes star-eyed. It’s probably one of the only times you’ve seen her left shocked. She crosses her arms and acts all huffy and unsurprised but really, she’s elated... and very impressed.

- I mean, she doesn’t really look at body types at all

- So in short, she doesn’t really care but gets flustered whenever you wear clothes like that

- she is already eye level with your stomach

- so when she see’s that you have muscles she kind of keeps her eyes there for a long moment

- just admiring you and silently worshipping you

- she will try and make you wear clothes that would make you look more muscular

- It is canon in the manga that Els along with some other members of the crew asked to get Legoshi’s outfit for the play Antler (or however you say it) tweaked a little to show off Legoshi’s muscles

- so she will do what she did to Legoshi but to you

- “Legsohi help SAVVEEEE MEEEEE!!!”

- you would scream as Els makes you try on more and more clothes

- and of course Legoshi just watched from a distance

- “You are doing great y/n!”

ELLEN:

- she would hype you up ANY SECOND she got

- when she see’s you in any tight shirt or reveling clothes she is your number one hyper man (or women I guess)

- she ask to see other clothes in your closet and soon spots out different tight clothes and makes you try them on

- she also likes taking you to the gym so she can workout without some carnivore trying to hit on her
