Just realizing reading the official chapter (chapter 16 TBV) that “follow your heart” was originally said by Kashin Koji towards Shikamaru for acting irrationally but doing what he felt was right. Eida contemplates those words and thinks of Sumire- who also just did something irrational .
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eida is the only person that does have some intel on Boruto. She knows what Sumire said is true because she witnessed it herself.
Tumblr media
Notice Eida thinks back to the moment that confirms what Sumire said boruto wanted, to have space so he won’t have to explain everything. She even says to Shikamaru she’s “thinking out loud”
Tumblr media
Koji told her she is a singularity, but rather than think of her own responsibility to hide intel, she thinks of boruto’s feelings & wants about all this. Rather than just think of herself, like Sumire suggested. This is also huge for Eida bc she tends to be a very self centered character but you can see how Sumire and Boruto are pushing her to have empathy for others. This chapter is a crucial moment for Eida’s character.
It was boruto’s interrogation where he was being physically and mentally abused that aligned with the pain Sumire described boruto feeling. Eida saw the pain he has been in having to hide everything. She knows Sumire is right.
Tumblr media
Ikemoto is drawing comparison between what Sumire did and what Shikamaru did. This is a turning point in the story
I think Sumire said “why did I do that” bc she doesn’t realize the depth of her feelings. But I think Eida did realize Sumire is actually in love rather than just a crush. & i do believe Eida respects Sumires love bc she saw the proof that Sumire does understand him and care for him deeply.
She heard how upset Sumire was about her feelings being dismissed and Eida later thought of Sumire’s feelings. To me, taking what Sumire said seriously and adjusting her behavior are signs she respects her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is just my Eida reassessment of certain things after reading the official release bc the leaks aren’t always accurate. I didn’t reiterate all my other points here, so you have to read the other post for that.
I’m going to wait for more chapters before I write Part 2 of Sumire and Sarada being foils to each other, but this chapter confirmed my first post which was cool!

Note
I have a little different request than the usual pace and content of this page but i hope you would do it 🩷
Idk if you have watched boruto but if you did , can you write Indra + All the Uchiha's being reanimated by Sarada to use the power of their mangekyou sharingan against Eida's senryugan and cast a powerful genjutsu to return things back to normal ? How would things unfold ? How would they react ? Esp for Shisui and Itachi after learning that their lovely little brother have grown up and has a daughter...🥲🥹😭
~🥥 anon
I don't watch Boruto. I can't tolerate it, as a diehard Uchiha fan, I can't tolerate it.
I tried the first few chapters until Sasuke reappeared and I literally disliked it so much that I'd rather act like it doesn't exist. The fact that Sarada knows absolutely nothing about her lineage, where she comes from, her predecessors, the creator of the clan, the fourth war where her ancestors defied death itself, HER UNCLE FOR GOD'S SAKE HER UNCLE! I had to do some research in order to answer this, and it is done to the best of my ability. I hope it is correct.
I have no idea what's going on now, but did Sarada learn about her clan? Or is she still absolutely ignorant of her family's past?
(PS: there are many details that I don't remember exactly about each one's eyes at the moment of their death, the last time I re-watched naruto was 2 years ago, so there may be some mistake).
Tumblr media
The first thing Indra registers upon awakening is summoning.
A summoner.
A force daring to pull him back from the abyss of time.
His form materializes in the present, body reconstructed by the unnatural force of the Reanimation Jutsu, and his eyes—his ancient, indomitable eyes—snap open.
He is not alone.
Beside him, Madara’s presence is undeniable, radiating power even in this mockery of resurrection.
Izuna follows, always at his brother’s side.
And then, the newer generations—Obito, Shisui, Itachi—all bound to the same forced return.
They do not speak, not at first.
The gravity of their summoning presses down upon them, their revived eyes scanning the warped reality that stretches before them.
A world distorted, rewritten by a power none of them have ever encountered.
And then—they see her.
A girl.
Standing before them, her small frame rigid with defiance, the unmistakable Uchiha fire burning behind her glasses.
Their eyes lock, and in that instant, they understand.
She is the one who called them.
Itachi's sharp inhale is the first sound among them, his hand flexing instinctively.
His gaze flickers over Sarada’s form, then past her—to the broken state of the world around them, to the unnatural pull of an ability that defies even the Sharingan’s comprehension.
And then, it hits.
—Sasuke…— The name falls from his lips, a whisper laced with disbelief.
Shisui stills beside him. His expression goes through a hurricane of emotions, but there is something undeniable in the way his gaze lingers on the girl.
—You’re... his daughter. What's... what's your name?— Shisui voices, way too soft for what's happening around them.
She lifts her chin, unwavering. —I am Uchiha Sarada. And I need your help.—
Obito lets out a breath, somewhere between a laugh and a scoff. —Sasuke has a kid? Guess we really were gone too long.—
Shisui swallows, an unreadable tension in his throat. His mind reels. Sasuke—the boy he once knew, the boy he died for—has lived, has grown, has become a father. There is relief in that thought, but also a twisting in his gut, an ache he does not yet know how to name.
Itachi remains shocked, and beneath the surface, something shifts—something that only those who truly know him would recognize.
The weight of time bears down upon them, heavy with all that has been lost.
Indra observes silently, arms crossed, mind already dissecting the situation. His descendants, different generations, the level of power and chakra accumulated in bodies that should no longer exist. An absurd and realistic look into the future he could not witness through his own eyes.
—A power that rewrites reality itself.— Indra’s voice is cold, analytical.
—A nuisance,— Madara corrects. He steps forward, his towering presence casting a long shadow over Sarada. His Rinnegan flickers to life, appraising her with something caught between curiosity and annoyance.
—You reanimated us to deal with this mess? A mere child using the power of the dead to fix what the living could not?
Sarada does not flinch. —You’re the only ones who can counter her Senrigan with a powerful enough genjutsu. I need you to help me set things right.—
Izuna scoffs, but there is something dangerously amused in his expression. —And what makes you think I care for your version of right?
Shisui says nothing, but his gaze remains sharp. Calculating.
The Uchiha stand at the precipice of war against a power none of them fully understand.
Eida’s Senrigan is absolute—an ability that twists reality itself, rewriting the very nature of hearts and minds.
But the Uchiha are genjutsu.
They are the masters of illusion, the wielders of sight beyond sight.
And so, when they move—it is together.
Indra and Madara lead, their ancient power carving into the fabric of reality itself, their eternal eyes defying even the laws of nature.
Izuna’s presence flickers like a shadow, a deadly counterpart to his brother’s overwhelming force.
Obito’s Kamui bends space, weaving a distortion within a distortion.
Shisui and Itachi—their Mangekyō Sharingan synchronize, the Kotoamatsukami and Tsukuyomi intertwining, forming a counterweight against the Senrigan’s manipulation. Their power seeps into the fabric of the rewritten world, challenging the falsehood Eida has imposed.
Sarada stands at the center, her own Mangekyō flaring, her lineage culminating in the union of past and present.
And then—
The clash.
A battle not of weapons, but of wills. Of illusions layered upon illusions, of rewritten realities collapsing under the weight of something even stronger:
The undeniable truth of the Uchiha’s gaze.
When the battle ends, when the world settles back into its rightful shape, the Uchiha find themselves standing at the crossroads of time once more.
Their purpose fulfilled.
Their existence—a borrowed moment.
Shisui and Itachi’s gazes linger on Sarada, on the last thread of their lineage still left in the world.
Obito exhales, glancing up at the sky, a ghost of something bittersweet in his eyes. —Guess it’s time to go, huh?—
Madara, ever himself, huffs. -You’re lucky I was in a good mood.—
Izuna laughs -Yeah, cause you'd always avoid a good fight instead of facing it, right?-
Indra says nothing, merely watching.
Observing.
And then, one by one, they begin to fade.
Sarada watches them go, her heart heavy with something she cannot name.
But before they vanish completely—
Itachi speaks.
—Take care of him.
A simple request.
A whisper of a legacy left behind.
Sarada clenches her fists.
She will.

PARALLELS: Fate is an Endless Cycle
I might do more parallel analyses from Naruto or Boruto later, but for now, I will focus on analyzing Sarada, Boruto, and Kawaki. We all know Kishimoto (and his pupil Ikemoto) loves to recycle his work!!
The New Konoha’s Sun and Shadow
Sarada and Naruto
1. Shared Goal of Becoming Hokage
• Both Sarada and Naruto are united in their ambition to become Hokage, driven by their desire to protect their loved ones and lead their village with strength and compassion. Sarada, in particular, mirrors Naruto’s growth, learning to balance leadership and care for others while staying true to her ideals of protection and justice. Naruto’s dream was born from loneliness, but for Sarada, it represents both responsibility and love for her village, similar to how Naruto’s ideals evolved from his yearning to be recognized and valued.
2. Symbol of the Sun
• Sarada embodies the sun, just like Naruto, both in terms of personality and in her Mangekyo Sharingan, which has a design resembling the sun. This is a fitting parallel as both characters shine brightly as beacons of hope for their communities. For Naruto, the sun represented his unyielding spirit and optimism, while for Sarada, it symbolizes the warmth and strength she strives to provide for others, illuminating the path ahead, no matter the obstacles.
Tumblr media
3. Friendship and Loyalty
• Sarada’s loyalty to Boruto mirrors Naruto’s undying commitment to Sasuke, even when faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges. Sarada refuses to “sell” Boruto out, reflecting Naruto’s declaration during the Pain arc that he would never abandon Sasuke. Both Sarada and Naruto share an unwavering belief in their friends, no matter how difficult the journey. Sarada, like Naruto, also faces the challenge of standing by those she cares about, even when they make mistakes or become misunderstood by others.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Protective Actions
• Sarada, like Naruto, creates a technique specifically to protect those she holds dear. Boruto. This mirrors Naruto’s own journey, where he developed a technique to protect Sasuke especially, his friends and the village. Both characters are driven by an innate need to protect others, even at the cost of their own safety, highlighting their deep commitment to those they love.
Tumblr media
5. Belief in Others
• Sarada, much like Naruto, never gives up on the people she cares about, even when others have written them off. Just as Naruto continued to believe in Sasuke, Sarada is the only one who still believes in Boruto when others doubt him. This parallels Naruto’s core belief that people can change, and it reinforces their shared understanding that love and trust can overcome any obstacle, no matter how difficult.
Tumblr media
6. Foundation of Love
• The driving force behind both Sarada’s and Naruto’s ambitions is love. Whether for their village, their friends, or their ideals. Sarada’s desire to become Hokage is rooted in her love for the people she wants to protect, much like Naruto’s dream was founded on the love and desire to form meaningful bonds with others. Their journeys are both fueled by a deep sense of connection to others, with love acting as the central foundation for their actions and decisions.
7. Naivety and Struggles with Emotions
• Sarada, like Naruto, struggles with understanding the emotions of others at times. This isn’t due to malice or being hypocritical, but because of her inexperience and naivety in navigating complex emotional landscapes. Sarada, much like Naruto in his early years, can be somewhat impulsive and unaware of the emotional impact her actions have on others. This makes her relatable, as both characters exhibit a certain “carelessness” when it comes to reading and understanding others, echoing Naruto’s own challenges with the same thing early in his journey.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They don’t fully understand their own feelings for Boruto and Sasuke. The difference is that Yodo actively questions Sarada about her feelings, making her reflect on them, while Naruto never had someone to do that for him. This left his emotions unresolved.
In The Last, his first open conversation about romance takes place with Sakura. As I mentioned in my long Naruto analysis post, Naruto does understand Love, but he does not understand the different Kinds of Love. He likely measured his feelings by quantity. He really liked Sakura, who was bullied too and admired her strength (probably since she was a girl and he liked her as a person he thought that she would be his girlfriend since every man married a girl they “liked”) (Sakura, in The Last, also said that kid Naruto probably liked her because he didn’t want to lose to Sasuke, which implies how unaware Naruto is of his own feelings), and cared deeply for Sasuke, his closest bond and best friend. However, he wasn’t sure if that bond was purely platonic or romantic because he simply didn’t understand the difference and guided himself with what he saw as common.
As a result, when thinking of Sasuke, he assumed it would feel like a brotherly connection because of how personal it was. Yet, in Boruto, he denies the idea of Sasuke and him having a brotherly relationship but does not specify what it actually is, this is because he has matured and probably realized a deep secret about himself, but he still tries to push and deny it.
This journey of self-discovery follows a person’s life and how is shaped by hardships, good moments, and bonds. Naruto never had someone who could explain to him why people marry (thought many of them at that time were probably arranged marriages) or date. That is why he told Sakura that he liked her the same way he liked others, even desserts, which only added to her confusion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As Eida said… The Drama!!😱 Love, whether romantic or not, is hard to understand. But judging by Daemon’s reaction, it now feels like they are implying the romantic kind. So, is Mitsuki starting to develop romantic feelings for Boruto?? Or just friendship??
Maybe he is confused about who Boruto is since he doesn’t remember, and his feelings for his “Sun” is causing that Eida’s powers are becoming less and less effectived to him. Since he is thinking more about Boruto than Eida. It feels that he still doesn’t fully understand his feelings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Boruto and Sasuke
1. Symbol of the Moon
• Boruto is intrinsically tied to the moon, just as Sasuke is. Sasuke’s eyes, particularly his left Sharingan, are special, while Boruto’s unique right eye, the Jougan (Pure Eye), signifies his connection to Sasuke. Both characters bear the weight of special eyes that mark them as important figures in the world of shinobi. Boruto’s eye, like Sasuke’s, are a reflection of his growing potential, and their connection mirrors the bond between the moon and the sun, two different forces that are still intrinsically linked.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Fighting Style
• Boruto has adopted the Uchiha fighting style, which is a direct nod to Sasuke. He chooses a sword as his weapon of choice, reminiscent of Sasuke’s iconic sword and his battle techniques. This shows Boruto’s natural affinity for Uchiha methods and highlights how he, despite his differing personality, follows in Sasuke’s footsteps. This adoption of the Uchiha style also signifies that Boruto is not only linked to Sasuke in terms of his eyes but also in the way he approaches combat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Serpent Summoning
• Like Sasuke, Boruto forms a contract with snakes. This parallel is clear, as Sasuke is famous for using snakes in battle, whether for combat, transportation, or summoning them for various purposes. Boruto’s affinity for the snake summons (Garaga) reflects the same bond Sasuke had with them, reinforcing the shared connection between them. Thought Sasuke later chose a hawk, Garuda.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Appearance
• Boruto’s resemblance to Sasuke is striking, both in terms of physical appearance and clothing style. While they aren’t blood relatives, the visual parallels are hard to ignore. Boruto shares many traits with Sasuke, such as the dark, spiky hair and sharp features, reinforcing their connection. This resemblance isn’t just superficial but also symbolic of the deeper ties between them, signifying that Boruto is, in many ways, Sasuke’s spiritual successor.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. Criminal Reputation
• Boruto, due to Eida’s influence, is seen as a “criminal” or a troublemaker by some, despite his good intentions. This mirrors Sasuke’s own reputation as an outcast, labeled a “criminal” by the village during his vengeful path. However, unlike Sasuke, Boruto’s actions are not driven by revenge but by the pressure of wanting to be recognize by his father (cough-Sasuke’s daddy issues-cough) and his desire to be taken seriously. The influence of Eida’s power adds complexity to Boruto’s situation, as it creates a distorted view of his character. This highlights the burden of perception, much like Sasuke’s struggles with his own reputation. Boruto is hunted by the village mirrors how Sasuke was pursued by Konoha after leaving and Sarada and Naruto are the only one who still believed in them respectively.
Also…👀
Tumblr media
And a funny one!! The beef!!🤣 Reminds you of a kid’s grudge about a black haired kid acting cool?!
Tumblr media
I recently read an analysis on Twitter comparing Sarada and Obito. While the parallels are valid, especially with Boruto saving Sarada and getting his eye cut similar to Kakashi, there are still stronger connections between Obito and Naruto. After all, in Shippuden, Obito was directly compared to Naruto. Sarada’s ideology mirrors Naruto’s, as she wants to protect the village, sees the citizens as family, and believes in love and bonds.
Some also draw comparisons between Sarada and Boruto’s relationship with Sasuke and Sakura or Obito and Rin. However, I don’t see those as strongly. It’s true that Rin once said she would support Obito as Hokage, but she didn’t love him romantically, her feelings were for Kakashi. In that sense, she parallels Sakura in the Naruto manga, though her character and the decisions she makes are still different. It feels like fans try to deny the parallels between Sasuke and Naruto because of what they may imply.
I also wanted to point out that Naruto isn’t the only parallel to Obito, since Sasuke’s Rin is Naruto.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🍥🍜🍥🍜🍥🍜🍥🍜🍥🍜🍥🍜🍥🍜🍥🍜🍥🍜🍥🍜🍥🍜🍥
A Cycle of Sacrifice
Kawaki and Boruto vs. Sasuke/Itachi and Kurama/Naruto
1. Kawaki
• Kawaki’s extreme views on peace and his willingness to sacrifice everything for what he believes in directly parallel Sasuke’s early ideologies. Both Kawaki and Sasuke share a complex relationship with sacrifice, they are willing to go to great lengths to bring about a change, even at the expense of their own happiness or lives. However, unlike Sasuke, Kawaki’s approach is reckless and more openly driven by hatred and revenge, showing a more volatile path. Kawaki’s path is one of destruction and rebirth, much like Sasuke’s, but Kawaki’s potential to change remains more uncertain.
At the same time, his sacrifice feels really in line with Itachi’s!!
Tumblr media
Or even Kurama when he didn’t accept Naruto!! Kurama hated humans, especially the Uzumaki. Similarly, Kawaki hates the Otsutsuki, yet Naruto is an Uzumaki and Boruto has Otsutsuki DNA. In Two Blue Vortex, he is even called Boruto Otsutsuki!!
2. Boruto
• Boruto shares many qualities with Itachi, especially in terms of his belief in the importance of bonds and the value of love. While Boruto mirrors Sasuke in terms of eye power and fighting style, he lacks Sasuke’s vengeful drive. Instead, like Itachi, Boruto seeks to understand and protect those he cares about, even if it means enduring hardship. Boruto’s approach is one of growth, adaptability, and emotional maturity, he’s willing to learn from his mistakes, much like Itachi did in his own tragic way.
Unlike Sasuke, who initially struggled to see the importance of bonds, Boruto embraces them, making him more aligned with Itachi’s belief in protecting his loved ones at all costs, even if it means bearing the weight of painful sacrifices and wanting to save his brother from it.
Boruto’s actions are driven by self-sacrifice and protection, which mirrors Itachi’s choices. His internal struggles with destiny and bonds reflect Itachi’s philosophical and emotional conflicts. Unlike Sasuke’s quest for revenge, Boruto’s maturity emphasizes preserving relationships and legacy. His empathetic nature and reflective decisions highlight an Itachi-like commitment to those he loves. Ultimately, Boruto embodies a blend of strength and emotional depth that aligns more with Itachi’s protective ideology than Sasuke’s path.
However, there's also a shared belief in Naruto's will to protect bonds, which Sasuke notices, this is part of why he decides to help him.
Tumblr media
Boruto and Kawaki’s bond is often compared to that of brothers, with their rivalry and deep connection growing over time. But Naruto once said his relationship with Sasuke was different. He didn’t see Sasuke as a brother in the usual way. For Sasuke, Itachi was his true brother, and their bond was built on sacrifices and painful choices.
Naruto, however, saw Kurama, as his “brother.” What began as an enemy turned into a deep, sibling-like relationship. So while Boruto and Kawaki might have a more typical brotherly bond, Naruto and Sasuke’s connection was unique, shaped by their own struggles and unexpected bonds.

Thoughts on Chapter 19: Replace "love" with "bonds" and the meaning still holds
Tumblr media
*sigh* In defense of Chapter 19....
I'm puzzled by some arguments claiming Naruto's original story never featured love to this degree. Really? Why exactly was Naruto going to such lengths to save his comrade? What was the interplay between Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato as they were forming the Akatsuki? All the pining and crushes on their peers from Rock Lee, Jiraiya, Naruto, Obito, etc. What do you mean this story was never about love?
Is it because Naruto frequently used the term "bonds" to describe what they were feeling, versus the dreaded "love." "Bonds" between brothers, rivals, comrades, your community, your enemies, etc.
Is it because the characters in Boruto are slightly more...transparent/forward about what they're feeling. You could argue that this is an effect of Eida (which is a whole other convo for which I WILL NOT defend Ikemoto on because I don't like how she was introduced to us). But truthfully, I think the key difference that turns reader off is the intentional use of the word "love".
But "love" can encompass so many things beyond romantic affection. "Love" for your child--Sasuke's Shinju is experiencing this as he attacked Sarada. "Love" for your comrade--Matsuri is dealing with her complicated feelings, because this person feels so familiar, and yet she cannot have the same relationship that Moegi has due to the circumstances. "Love" ties them to their humanity--that's why they have to devour it, lest it devours them. If you replaced the word "love" for "bonds" in Jura's speech, the sentiment is similar. People have sentiments that hinder their reasoning, that cause them to act irrationally.
Remember when Sasuke was obsessed with severing his "bond" with Naruto? That was him trying to devour any "love" he felt for his friend or village, so that he could seek vengeance. There's a reason Jura is saying this speech to Sasuke's Shinju in particular.
But the thing that bugs me most about this "dislike love" argument:
...The Naruto characters DID express romantic love VERY OUTWARDLY and WITHOUT SHAME. Naruto and Rock Lee openly pined after Sakura. Sakura and Ino pined after Sasuke. Hinata pined after Naruto. Obito pined after Rin. Jiraiya pined after Tsunade. Yahiko and Nagato competed for Konan's affections. Not to mention the multiple sexy jutsus/perverted bits. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BORUTO TALKS ABOUT LOVE MORE THAN NARUTO, LIKE GENUINELY??
The only key difference is in Boruto these romantic love discussions are largely mediated by one character: Eida. Her influence gets the characters talking about their feelings more openly, and even acting in "irrational" ways. Again, I have many issues with how she's written. But I think it's unfair to act as if TBV just throws in love, when it's more reiterating a concept we are familar with ("bonds") as a new motivating force.
What I cannot defend TBV on: oversexualization of girls and women in the story, excessive blushing to the point where it feels infantilizing.
But beyond that, IT'S OKAY for characters to express vocally that they like or love someone. I'd rather they do that in a healthy way, and not play into the older bits that would get featured (e.g. like masking oneself as a fellow teammate to steal a kiss from another teammate--not cool).

An interesting parallel I caught in Chapter 19
Eida’s Character Growth ?
I feel this really gives credence to my interpretation that Eida’s character arc is about learning what real love is. & that Sumire is one of the main people teaching her that. (Link to theory)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Matsuri & Sumire both are upset- they feel close to people that want to use impersonal names with them. Unrequited levels of care/love/feelings suck.
It’s interesting that Eida watched Sumire’s outburst highlighting her feelings not being considered, (or boruto’s either) and Eida watches that same thing here; & Eida considers Matsuri’s feelings during her fit of rage & even takes a dig at konohomaru for not being able too. I think this is a signal of growth in her ~learning what real love is~ arc.
Tumblr media
It’s honestly a big change, during Sumire’s outburst Eida didnt really take her feelings seriously and was kinda callous. Which leads me to believe I may be right that Eida’s later references in that chapter to Boruto’s interrogation & “follow your heart” was likely her being moved by Sumire’s outburst. It started to weigh on her and she started to take it seriously.
Tumblr media
Eida is learning to decipher what real love is & thus she is “becoming human”.

The Boruto-Sarada-Sumire love triangle is such a perfect example of the misogyny in the story. It’s so unnecessary. Aside from everything, Sarada is Boruto’s best friend. It is not weird or inherently romantic that she hugged Boruto the moment she saw him after years apart. I would’ve done the same fucking thing.
Sumire being jealous isn’t really the problem. She’s a teenage girl. It happens. Plus, she feels bad later. It’s more so about the context of this manga. This is a battle manga, and Sumire has now been reduced to her crush on Boruto just like Eida was reduced to her crush on Kawaki. Like girls, please, there are tree people to fight. What are you doing?
