lately ive been thinking a lot about a session with multiple lers being directed by my fiancee on exactly how best to tickle me.
imagine, the person who knows you best and knows how to take you completely apart standing above your tied body with a couple of people who are about to get a very effective crash course in driving you out of your mind. all the secret little techniques that make you spasm and scream and thrash; where to grasp at the collarbone, which way to scribble across the ball of the foot, how to form the hand to best squeeze your hips. not being able to get a word in edgewise as your new tormentors listen to a flustering lecture on how cutely you squeal when you do this right here. now having to plead to not one but multiple people about how it tickles too much, you cant take that spot, not there not there not there!
after not too long you’ll have a team of people who know all your embarrassing little traits and cant wait to use them against you. which they will. extensively~
#leem ood#im not gonna lie i want multiple lers SO BAD DUDE ITS INSANE#and zeph is just…….. SO good at tickling and imagining them teaching those techniques to other people#and then THEY can do it as well as zeph and its just as effective and 😵💫#anyway if youre hearing this please i am free tuesday night to be gang tickled if you are free (on tuesday) i will be free please

thinking about shtolaiha fencing lessons this fine 1:33am on a saturday..... u know how it is............
#i like to think they spar/teach each other their combat techniques both because they find it interesting (it's the nerdism) and because it#helps them work together in real combat better :)#y'shtola's blindness makes fencing or melee weapons in general less than ideal because even tho she can see the aether theres a significant#like. lag? afterimage? basically she “sees” people as being where they are longer than they were#so like. a less-than-a-second delay before the aether in that space fades and her vision tracks the moving target#this isn't so much of a problem when you're a black mage and all your spells have fuck-off huge areas of effect (even single-target ones!#have u seen how big those vfxes are!) but the finesse required when wielding a rapier makes it. a glaring issue.#she still likes to practice though. and conversely l'aiha has never been able to rely purely on magic so things like blm don't suit her#she has a lot of physical endurance and her magic IS powerful but she has to wield it in moderation in a fight. it's why when she loses the#ability TO use her magic at the end of 5.0 she takes so readily to magicless tanking. she's just strong!!! and mostly too nimble to get hit#a lot hehe.#yoshi talks

#there really is smtg to be said abt like how they recommend sports to aggro kids or wtv#i insulted someone on literally the comment section the other day n it got them so bothered that it had some asmr effect on me dhsjbdbgbshf#i'd never become a comments weirdo tho that's so cringe:( so i just bully street vendor men or wtv. :)#i'd never get into sports too bcs teaching me technique would not be a good idea i'm afraid.#but there Is validity to it like there is no making that disappear and there is no 'controlling' it so u gotta just let it out every once#in a while etc.

and this podcast we're meant to listen to which is fully arguing that "the most modern science shows that actually there is no overlap in the way anybody learns, so any research suggesting best practice or more effective ways to teach reading should be disregarded" and that /specifically instead/ of using techniques like phonics or whole-word, teachers should be focused on their personal relationship with the students and if the students like them and dont feel anxious.
#like first of all#the importance of making a classroom safe is NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE with phonics#and second of all#THERE IS ABSOLUTELY HUGE OVERLAPS IN HOW PEOPLE LEARN AND WHAT METHODS ARE MORE EFFECTIVE#there are more factors than simply a one size fits all solution DOES NOT mean 'there is no technique which is better than any other'#'all kids have unique needs' does not mean 'no teaching research is true'
