Tarzan the Fearless (1933)
My rating: 3/10
Yet another dull, poorly aged Tarzan movie. I'm beginning to think that the character was just always bad actually.

Cupid's Brew
Draco x Male Reader
Context: Ninth chapter of Intense, which can be found in full on Ao3 or Wattpad
Summary: Draco's far from pleased with the change in potions professors, but he's going into this hoping he can get into Slughorn's good graces. That is, if he can stop getting distracted in class by his cauldron of Amortenia...
Word Count: 392
Draco itched at his collar, loosened his tie with a huff. He supposed a little luck could go a long way in achieving some of his more… intense ambitions this year.
Pages turn in the new classroom, damp-looking walls and an orange haze from stained sconces blurring out the cold of the space. Despite his newfound displeasure at the change in potions professors, the promise of liquid luck was more than enough to persuade him towards effort.
Draught of living death, huh? He’d been much too busy skimming the recipe to care much for where Crabbe and Goyle were dragging him.
As everyone else situated at a table, Draco instead found himself sandwiched between his friends. Crabbe snickered over the bubbling of a cauldron. Of Slughorn’s cauldron, more accurately - one of two set out for his introductory demonstration.
“C’mon, Draco,” Pansy said, urging him towards the pot. Her eyes flickered in surveillance to Slughorn, much too distracted chattering with Potter to notice them. “What d’you smell?”
The Amortentia bubbled thick, and a plume of its steam spiraled into the air before him. He scoffed. “This is a load of bollocks.”
Pansy smacked the back of his shoulder. Goyle made a mocking sound. “What, afraid you might get a whiff of Potter?”
Draco blanched. He grumbled and leant over the winding steam, if only to prove Goyle wrong. He’s not sure what he expected, but it sure as Merlin wasn’t as overwhelming as what he got.
His skin prickled breathing it in, a warmth settling where his fingers go fuzzy at the nail. Books, rosin, mud on carriage wheels down the path to Hogsmeade Station…
He paced himself with a stuttering breath as he stepped back away from the cauldron. He coughed, the aroma of heat-fogged train windows and greenhouse three on his breath. It’s unbecoming, how clumsily he reached up to rub the remainder out of his nose.
Crabbe and Goyle devolved into sadistic laughter at his plight. Slughorn was, appropriately, unamused. Pansy rolled her eyes as he shouted at the lot of them to find a table and get to work.
If only the process of brewing a draught of living death weren’t so tedious, he thought to himself. Maybe the steeping scent of you in his lungs would have made his loss of the liquid luck to Potter more palatable.
What's up crickets. Sorry I vanished for eight months, I graduated high school but the opps got me anyway. Yard, I'm back and bangin'.
I've been trying to get over my fear of Choo Choo Charles for the last month. Given that I live a two minute walk from a bunch of train tracks, hearing blaring train noises at butt'o'clock in the morning when I'm terrified of Choo Choo Charles - or more accurately, the roblox knock off, Edward the Man-Eating Train - has been ruining my life.
Many nightmares. I still haven't managed to beat Choo Choo Charles without taking several breaks to go bother my sister about how scared I am.
Tell me if there are typos, I've been awake all night and day so I might not have caught them all in editing. <3

Supernova Family Tree
I got a comment on Supernova, asking for a family tree. it turns out that creating a family tree on a computer is a lot harder than I thought it would be! Also, I went back and forth on ages, so forgive me if the dates don't perfectly line up with canon (I had to change them around for some obvious points, like Pollux and Cygnus becoming fathers at 13 based on JKR's tree).
Below you'll find the text version of the tree. I hope this helps for any of you following this Tedromeda (and soon to be Remadora) angst fest! As the story goes on and more characters are added, I'll add them to the list, but this one should be good for the time being.

Hogwarts Years For Various Characters
So, I'm getting a lot of mixed opinions on who went to Hogwarts when. Like all (and I do mean all) the adult characters going to Hogwarts with the Marauders, etc. So, I decided to do some extensive investigative work based on where the characters are in the books and what JKR said about them and their ages. If there's no information, I just looked up the actors who played them, and their ages at the time the movie was released (and when the movie is set). And yes, I will be including Hogwarts Mystery characters. Deal with it.
A few more notes, I find it extremely unlikely that half the OG Order of the Phoenix was made up of newly graduated Hogwarts students. Frank and Alice Longbottom have already made names for themselves as famous aurors by 1981, and it takes 3 years of training to become an auror. Same with Dorcas Meadows (I don't think she was an auror, but she was badass enough to be killed by Voldy personally).
As for Marlene McKinnon, Emmeline Vance, Amelia Bones, Hestia Jones, and Dedulus Diggle...
If Marlene was Lily's best friend and Sirius' lover (or even ex-lover), wouldn't Lily be more emotional about her death and say something like "I'm so sorry about Marlene. I know how much she meant to you."? And wouldn't she have mentioned her by name? "Marlene and her family" instead of "the McKinnons"?
If Emmeline Vance, Hestia Jones, and Dedulus Diggle were friends with Lily and James, wouldn't they (or Remus or Sirius) mention that to Harry? You would think that with all these "friends" of Harry's parents, going to Grimmauld Place would be like "coming home" to him.
Amelia Bones is described as having "grey hair" in OOTP, and the actress who portrayed her was 57 when Deathly Hallows part 1 was released, so she's almost 20 years older than the Marauders.
Here we go:
1930s:
Cornelius Fudge (1934-1941)
Augusta Longbottom (1935-1942)
Walburga, Lucrieta, and Alphard Black and Abraxas Malfoy (1936-1943)
Tom Riddle (1938-1945)
1940s
(NOTE: Slughorn had been teaching since at least Riddle's 6th or 7th year)
Myrtle "Moaning Myrtle" Warren (1940-1943) (died)

Poppy Pomfrey and Orion Black (1940-1947)
Eileen Prince (1941-1948)
Ignatius Prewett, Arimentia Black, and Druella Rosier (DOBs unknown, but they're in the same generation as Sirius' parents)
Pomona Sprout (1943-1950)
Alastor Moody and Barty Crouch Sr. (1945-1952)
Minerva McGonagall (1946-1953)
Rufus Scrimgeor (1947-1954)
Cygnus Black (1949-1956)
1950s:
(NOTE: McGonagall had been teaching since 1956)
Irma Black, Septima Vector, and Mr. Crabbes (XD I'm sorry...) (1950-1957)

Perengrine (Hogwarts Mystery) (1954-1961)
Dolores Umbridge (1955-1962)
Xeno and Pandora Lovegood (1956-1963)
Corban Yaxley (1957-1964)
Amelia Bones (1959-1966)
1960s:
(NOTE: Dumbledore became Headmaster, and the curse of the yearly DADA teacher started in 1964)
Molly Prewett, Amos Diggory, Mrs. Diggory, Frank Longbottom, Alice Longbottom, Charity Burbage, and Dedulas Diggle (1961-1968)
Arthur Weasley and Mundungus Fletcher (1962-1969)
Bellatrix Black, Edward Tonks, Marlene and Mr. McKinnon, Irma Pince, and Madame Rosemerta (1963-1970)
Rudolphus and Rebastian Lestrange, probably the same years as Bellatrix
Andromeda Black and Filius Flitwick (1965-1972)
Patricia Rakepick and Ludo Bagman (1966-1973)
Lucius Malfoy, Dawlish, Sybill Trelawny, and Narcissa Black (1967-1974)

Once he arrives, he is taken for a bit of a ride by the canny locals as they try to milk him for as much cash as they can. In the days before cell phones; he has to call his boss from the phone box reporting his lack of progress and some astronomical sightings until eventually Happer comes over himself and immediately strikes up a rapport with Fulton Mackay who lives on the beach (and who is steadfastly refusing to sell). It is is simple story very well told with a slightly unpredictable, happy ending and a brilliant score from Mark Knopfler. Filipe Manuel Neto: **Slow, with boring characters and dialogues and a disjointed script, this film does not justify the “hype” around it.** This is one of those indie films that has won over a legion of self-confessed admirers. It’s a film that everyone speaks highly of, as if it were a solid masterpiece. I didn’t know that when I saw it for the first time, so I saw it without a lot of expectations. I’m glad I did it: despite recognizing some merits, I am convinced that the film has been well overrated. The proof is the way it fell into oblivion! If we exclude fans and movie nerds who know everything (and when they don’t, they make it up) who really remembers this movie? The film revolves around a story that is very simple: in the north of Scotland, there is a small bay with a beach and a sleepy village. When a rich oil entrepreneur decides to buy all that to build a huge refinery and a terminal for oil tankers, all those people are expectant, wanting to sell what they have for the best price. Only two people disagree: a marine biologist who want to preserve and study the local, and an old simpleton who owns a good part of that beach. The film had some potential, but it lacks solidity and a good script. Time is spent in sterile dialogue, rambling about comets, constellations and flirting. It is also very unbelievable, as a project like this would never be so consensual, there are always those who oppose it for financial or ecological reasons, or mere nostalgia. If director Bill Forsyth decided to close his eyes to the insipidity and fragility of ...

BIOGRAPHY
Draco Lucius Malfoy (b. June 5th, 1980) was a pure-blood wizard and the only son of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy (née Black). The son of a Death Eater, Draco was raised to strongly believe in the importance of blood purity. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1991-1998 and was sorted into Slytherin House. During his years at Hogwarts, he became friends with Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, Pansy Parkinson, and other fellow Slytherins, but he quickly developed a rivalry with Harry Potter.
He was made a prefect of his house and was a member of the Inquisitorial Squad during his fifth year, at the end of which his father was imprisoned in Azkaban following the Battle of the Department of Mysteries. Lord Voldemort charged Draco with making up for Lucius's failure, and he became a Death Eater at age sixteen, but was quickly disillusioned with the lifestyle. Draco was unable to complete his task of murdering Albus Dumbledore, which was later taken over by Severus Snape, and only performed his other duties fearfully and reluctantly. He and his family defected hours before the end of the Second Wizarding War, fearing for their lives.
The events of Draco's teenage years forever changed his life. He had the beliefs in which he had grown up challenged in the most frightening way, had experienced terror and despair, witnessed his parents suffering for their allegiance, and had witnessed the crumbling of all that his family had believed in. Draco and his family avoided imprisonment in Azkaban due to their last-minute switch in allegiance. Lucius found his son as affectionate as ever, but refusing to follow the old pure-blood line.

Memorable moments for these Maritime athletes at the 2023 Canada Winter Games
It was a historic game for the Nova Scotia women's hockey team, walking away with silver after reaching the medal round for the first time at the Canada Winter Games.
"Our girls hockey is really the story of the games for us,” said Lori Lancaster, Nova Scotia Chef de Mission. “For Nova Scotia, a group who has never achieved medals heading into the medal round, those girls just won silver so that's pretty exceptional for us.”
Maritime athletes gave it their all and worked hard at collecting medals over the last two weeks.
"We had a medal in archery, which was a bronze medal, and as well, we had a medal in Judo, which was a silver medal,” said Joanne Wallace, Prince Edward Island Chef de Mission. “Those are the sports that we normally would medal in.”
"Team New Brunswick finishes the week off with 16 medals, we have two gold, four silver, and ten bronze,” said Nicole Smith, New Brunsiwck Chef de Mission.
New Brunswick was also excited to put Crabbe Mountain on the world stage, hosting alpine ski events for the games.
"Team Nova Scotia has just achieved our best ever medal performance at any winter games with 24 medals,” Lancaster said.
Nova Scotia walked away with seven gold, seven silver, and 10 bronze.
“We're so proud of our athletes,” she said.
But for P.E.I., being the hosts with the most was a major victory in itself, as athletes across Canada experienced the island charm.
"It's been an exciting 16 days of competition, we've had records broken, we've had many personal first bests for athletes,” said Wayne Carew, 2023 Games Chair. “We've had 5,000 volunteers that have been covering Prince Edward Island in their blue and green jackets,” he said.
Carew said that despite inflation, COVID-19, and Fiona, the games went off in a seamless fashion, bringing between $170-180 million boost to the island’s economy.

The Australian Festival of Chamber Music has launched its 2023 Festival program with a superb line-up of 39 international and Australian musicians, 30 concerts, five world premieres, four Australian debuts, two island concerts and 10 days of winter warmth and friendly atmosphere. Tickets are on sale now.
"AFCM has such a unique atmosphere and I have endeavoured to build even more upon this in the 2023 Festival." – Jack Liebeck, Artistic Director
Held from 28 July to 6 August in Townsville-Gurambilbarra, the program is diverse, innovative, stimulating and entertaining. It features concerts that show us that romance is not dead yet, that music can become famous even if its premiere falls flat, that it’s exciting to travel to the mysterious forest and that the joy of hearing world premieres, Indigenous works and musicians performing together in one-off exclusive performances is incredibly special!
What’s also special is the artist line-up, which includes 14 exceptional international musicians, four of whom are making their Australian debut at AFCM. So your only chance to see Dutch violinist Rosanne Phillipens, Taiwan’s Ting-Ru Lai (viola), UK viola player and AFCM’s Composer-in-Residence Sally Beamish and fellow Brit Stephen Johnson (composer and presenter) is at AFCM this winter. The artist line-up also includes Australia’s finest: William Barton (didgeridoo), Kees Boersma (double bass), James Crabb (accordion), Joseph Havlat (piano), Claire Edwardes (percussion), Lorina Gore (soprano), the Goldner String Quartet and more. Talented young stars also feature, including Australia’s Charlotte Miles (cello) and Emily Sun (violin).
If it’s mental stimulation you seek, then attend AFCM Illuminates and be guided through the music of Messiaen, the psychological power of Shostakovich, the life of a composer and explore the brain of a musician.
Festival favourites return, including the hugely entertaining Concert Conversations in the mornings, one-hour Sunset Series concerts in the afternoons and full-length Evening concerts that present a wide repertoire of music. Two very special island concerts return including the Orpheus-Goolboddi Island Concert and the AFCM After Party on Magnetic Island-Yunbenun. The enjoyable Guilty Pleasures segments also return in 2023 with much surprise and delight on offer.
The Australian Festival of Chamber Music delivers a truly unique holiday experience that combines some of the best musicians and chamber music in the world with a stunning location filled with beautiful sights and things to do. Make the most of your time in the region and explore further afield to uncover wonderful experiences in the rainforest, the outback and on tropical islands. Discover more here.
