Mole crab (nostalgia factor. many mole crab encounters in my past)

Sunshine and Moonlight spend days side eyeing each other and getting into fights when their kids aren't looking up until some punk starts messing with them one day while MK is walking Bai He home. After helping the kids out of that mess, the two come up with a truce. For the sake of the kids, they'll play nice. Later on, they'll laugh at how they had coincidentally picked the same foster family for both their heirs!

Yup. Second that the kids are out of the room, these two are Fighting.

Wukong is swooping, clawing, pecking - while Macaque is scratching, kicking, and biting. Its very Tom & Jerry esque. Thankfully after the first kitchen ruined by their antics (Pigsy nearly had a conniption), the two decided quietly to move their fighting somewhere outside the restaurant building.

And of course one day, a punk or demon or two sniffs out that MK and Bai He aren't "normal" kids and starts to stalk them as a potiential target.

Mr Moonlight and Mr Sunshine come to a fast truce over the matter.

After scaring off the threat and safely ecourting their kids home (and getting all the treats and pets to their hearts desire), the two glamoured animals finally reveal themselves to one another in private...

And start laughing at the coincidence of meeting up so many years in the future, only to have chosen the same people to watch over their successors! XD

Mr Moonlight and Mr Sunshine are far more friendy to one another after that incident. Apparently protecting the kids is something they can both agree on.

Rogue couldnt help but laugh at his description of chammomile. She shook her head, magogany curls flying around her like a gentle halo, and rolled her eyes. "If that ain't the best damn description of tea Ah ever heard!" she sighed. "Well, anything that ain't good ol' sweet black tea, anyway. Hot leaf juice. Ugh!"

Then came the question, what kept her up. Only reasonable, she suspected. After all, if she found him asleep when everyone else is supposed to be, why would she be awake to find him? She let out a deep sigh. Then she put her elbows on her knees, interlaced her fingers, and set her forehead into her palms to think up the right way to put this.

She'd wanted to tell Remy as soon as the Professor gave her the news. But she was also damn scared of what he'd say. That he'd tell her no.

"...Professor came an' found me a few days ago. Came with a message," she said before swallowing tight. "My daddy's in tha' hospital, Remy. It's...cancer. An' he wants me ta come visit. After ev'rythin' he's done...all the hurtful things he done said. Just wants me ta come. An' Ah...Ah've been wrestlin' with this sense then. But Ah come to tha choice that...Ah need ta go."

Her emerald eyes turned back to him and she set her hands on her lap like she was some old timey lady askin for an ecourt, and not...well...actually it was a bit more like that than first thought.

"Professor says he don't want me ta go alone..." she began, "an' I thought you might like ta come to Mississippi with me."

More than people liked to think? Yes. Rogue could see that. Remy wasn't a boyscout leader like Scott or a bullish tough-guy straight out of a black and white mob movie like Wolverine was, but that was why Rogue enjoyed his company so much. He seemed the most real out of all of them. For lack of a better word, the most...human.

"Well don't you worry, sugar, I ain't about ta mix with your chickory stuff," she smiled.

But he didn't return her gaze. Instead, he seemed to be staring at the ground. Or at some imaginary stain on her boot. Rogue knew him well enough to know there was more goin' on there than he cared to admit. But she also knew better than to push for the immediate truth.

"...Ya can't play that game, Remy. Just 'cause folks out there are dealin' with a hell of a lotta mess doesn't mean your mess don't matter," she explained.

Her boot lightly tapped against his.

"Y'know, I ain't been gettin' much good sleep neither. Jean says there's this tea. Chamo-mile, or somethin' like that. It's supposed ta help. I just think it tastes like boilin' hot flower-water," she said and made a disgusted face before she grinned at him. "I guess it might be better that hot chickory juice, though."

Now she was just being mean, getting his goat. Hoping he'd relax a little more. She hated seeing him so...so tense, for lack of a better word.
