moonlighter ($20)- a roguelike rpg where you go dungeon diving and try to bring back as much loot as you can so that you can sell it in your shop

🔸️shadows of doubt ($20)- a first person sandbox detective simulator where each case is procedurally generated. randomly generates a town with npcs that all have names and addresses and relationships. put together clues from a crime scene and try to catch a killer before they strike again. work odd jobs between cases to keep yourself fed and housed

ultrakill ($25) fast paced first person shooter with a style system ala devil may cry. you play as a robot fighting through the layers of hell. mankind is dead. blood is fuel. hell is full

crypt of the necrodancer ($15)- a rhythm based roguelike dungeon crawler where you and your enemies are only allowed to move on beat. banger soundtrack goes without saying

everhood ($10)- a rhythm based rpg where you play as a red doll who had their arm stolen and is trying to get it back. battles involve moving between 5 lanes to avoid enemy attacks. if you like undertale you'll like this

spiritfarer ($30)- management and adventure game where you play as a spiritfarer who needs to care for spirits on her boat before leading them into the afterlife. incredibly charming and touching game. you will cry

let's school ($20)- management sim where you build and manage a school and help students graduate by setting up different courses. addicting and has a very cute artstyle

let's build a zoo ($20)- management sim where you. well where you build a zoo. a very silly game that includes a morality system where you can choose to be eco friendly and help repopulate endangered species or you can exploit your animals for their meat and produce. also has an animal splicing mechanic. haven't you ever wanted to make a giraffe with a duck head

🔸️the wandering village ($25)- a city builder with the twist that you live on the back of a giant wandering beast named onbu. you help care for onbu as he wanders though different biomes that force you to adjust your resource production as some things become unavailable (such as water in a desert)

frostpunk ($30) a survival city builder where you build around a central core and try to prevent everyone from freezing to death in progressively colder temperatures

monster sanctuary ($20)- a metroidvania style creature collector with a unique combo meter that will continue to build and increase your damage based on the number of "hits" you can perform (healing buffs and shields also count as hits) and each monster has different skill trees that you can upgrade and customize

coral island ($30)- farming life sim with a unique underwater area where you can live and farm and raise aquatic plants and animals. you work to help restore the island after and oil spill ruined the surrounding ocean. i should mention that although this game is technically not in early access it is still unfinished and missing large chunks of gameplay/interactions/story. however there is still a healthy amount of content and is still a fun game as it is

apico ($20)- a beekeeping sim where you keep bees to make and sell honey while also breeding and releasing them to help restore their numbers in the wild

spirittea ($20)- a management and life sim where you manage a bathhouse for ghosts and help the townsfolk who think they're haunted (they're right). basically a cross between stardew valley and spirited away

As an economics student and mind you I might come off as abit harsh or even cold but I want to keep things factual. I don't think the game itself even recognizes what a big of a deal it is to purposely not develop the infrastructure. Underdeveloped infrastructure is one of the things that we take in consideration wHEN MEASURING POVERTY. This is what threw me off, in a way it sounded like they were INSISTING on having poverty related issues. AND WE KNOW THE SUNSET SAVANNA HAS PEOPLE LIVING IN POVERTY. The slumps being the biggest proof.

Leona's ideas ARE actually great solutions, he's completely right in my opinion. I just I think a lot of people don't exactly understand what he means when he talks about industrialization.. And I don't blame them. I too thought industrialization is just big factories go brr pollution and that's what the game seems to be sitting up but... I'm about to "um actually 🤓☝"

So, why is industrialization the solution (that AND developing the infrastructure bECAUSE OH MY GOD people don't have basic needs like water in 2024 ..??? I don't even feel the NEED to explain why that's bad at this point oh also the renewable energy idea is just PERFECT chief kiss) .. Now industrialization doesn't mean 100% destroying the environment.. Does it have a bad effect on the environment.. Yes but it doesn't means absolute destruction of the environment especially in this case..

Think about it...if the products they should be producing depend on natural resources as their input..would they really go, is Leona really presenting that they should go and absolutely DESTROY the sources of their inputs.?, even looking at it from a greedy economical perspective it makes no sense. Also industrialization provides ✨job opportunities✨ and this is very important. Job opportunities and providing the people with income "moves" the economy and improves people's living conditions, people now can afford education and health (which we know the people of the slumps have next to no access to, Ruggie's mom died while giving birth to him and it was mentioned there's a lot of crying kids in the slumps that means women in the slumps don't have access to good healthcare for giving birth a common thing found in countries suffering from whaaat? Poverty.) Providing people with an income improves their living condition (no sh*t) and the best way to provide them with that is by providing them with jobes and yOU DO THAT THROUGH INDUSTRIALIZATION (also side not here, governments can GIVE their citizens "monthly allowances or icomes" these amounts are usually small but better than nothing .. My country is doing this as of now and it's for this exact same thing "moving the economy" aka the people selling, buying, getting married reproducing... Basically living)

Another solution I really like is tourism.. Which Leona mentioned.. twice. .. I think? Okay so they don't want to mass produce? Okie dokie. Then lean heavy into the cool epic greenery you got. A lot of countries irl do that actually and it would also provides the people with the needed jobs (I'll never stop shouting about the importance of income and job opportunities)

but this time in the tourism industry.. and the sunset Savanna really can make banks out of this that place is gorgeous and they should use their beliefs and pride in what they've got as a force to move forward not being all like "the circle of life😍"... As a justification for Underdevelopemt. I really adore the tourism solution like personally like it. I actually I'm an average environment enjoyer myself and I don't think we should destroy nature.... But mothers are dying in the slumps and children are getting no food... And we don't even NEED to destroy nature... We simply need to IMPROVE the way the economy is going NOT DESTROY IT AND CHANGE IT.. Just modernize it a bit.. A region in my country is actually doing this. Leaning heavily into the old castles and mud houses we got (we old as heck) modernizing things a bit to make it tourists friendly while also keeping our history (that I love) intact and BOOM tourists destination and more jobs for the people

Filament for 3D Printing Made from Plastic Bottle Waste

Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) student team has introduced an innovative filament for 3d printing made from plastic bottle waste. The filament, named FilaPET, is claimed to have higher heat and tensile resistance and is more affordable than similar products. This innovation aims to reduce plastic bottle waste in Indonesia.

The team, consisting of five students, collaborated across their fields of study. They are Arifatus Sholihah (Faculty of Engineering), Azkal Anas Ilmawan (Faculty of Engineering), Kevin Deandra Septano (Faculty of Engineering), Afif Irfan Zein (Faculty of Engineering), and Maulana Iqbal Pambudi (Faculty of Animal Science).

~A little glimpse into my urban hobbit-hole

To say that I have a thing for decoration would be an understatement. I've always been fascinated by it, not in a professional sense, but as a hobby. As a photography student, I have a good understanding of colorimetry, which helps when decorating my own space. My life has revolved around work, college and more work (because it’s never enough).

Since I’m going on a short vacation next week, I thought it would be a good idea to just sit down and write. I also wanted to take a break from the “patentese” I work with on a daily basis to write something more informal.So, let’s get into it. After rearranging the furniture in my apartment several times to make room for a couch I recently bought, I wanted to show the result of months of planning (and shopping 👀).

I am real homebody (I even work from home), which is why I spend so much time rearranging things to provide a more cozy space for my work and leisure activities. Usually after a busy day at work I dedicate a few hours of leisure (what I call No-Thinking Hours) to visit decoration websites for reference and compare prices in stores.

I've finally found the terracotta velvet couch I've been searching for over the past years(!!). I'm obsessed with terracotta hues because they bring out the warm tones I see when I’m surrounded by nature. I love this color so much to the point that my entire apartment is decorated around it. (I totally forgot to take a picture of my sofa...).

The goal here is to incorporate elements of nature into my design projects by purchasing products made from wood and cork materials, both of which are typically eco-friendly and cost-effective.It's probably safe to say that the hobbit-hole I call home is finally getting the cozy vibe I want.

Scented candles are really popular these days, so I gave them a try and bought some from a store that specializes in literary candles. My favorite ones are Mama Bear's Pancakes, The Fantastic World of Beatrix Potter and Alice's Poetry.

The first one is a reference to a cartoon I used to watch in the 90s, so it really appeals to my childhood instincts. Alice's Poetry is my second favorite. As it burns, it releases a warm and soothing fragrance of apple, peach and tutti fruit while sparkling with delicate glitter.

I still have more decoration ideas, which I intend to share little by little. That's all for today.
