#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #lan xichen #jin guangyao #jiang cheng #wei wuxian #qin su #EDIT: Tumblr published an earlier draft with only half the notes I wrote so: late entry on my JGY thoughts.#Unlike the mystic powers of the stockmarket (what the OG meme is referring to) I think this situation calls for more active investigation.#qin su is such a deeply tragic character to me and I really wish we got a bit more from her.#Love everyone who sent me messages about her after the last time she appeared.#I think she needs a spin off of her being a transmigrator SO badly.#MDZS has so many interesting characters - but it sometimes fails to give them the proper room to really develop past a role in the plot.#That's just the consequence of writing a story like MDZS. Not every character in a book *needs* to have a rich inner life and backstory!#To do so would bog down the story and obliterate any notion of pacing. It's just not possible.#Jin Guangyao (nee Meng Yao) is unfortunately not free from this leeway rule. He is the culprit of this murder mystery plot #and thus NEEDS to encapsulate the themes of the book. And personally he's a 7 out of 10 at best on this front (in the AD).#MDZS is about rumours twisting reality and working towards truth. And about how people & situations are rarely ever black & white #JGY has his motivations. He's well written in regards to his actions making sense for his character.#What started as good traits (drive to succeed & improve his image) became twisted over time (do anything to maintain his image)#and it's a good parallel to WWX! He has the same arc (with different traits)! Bonus points for IGY in that regard.#but man....by the time we confront this guy for murder there's not a lot of grey morality. He's just...deep in the hole *he* dug.#There's a beautiful tragedy to it! More on JGY in later comics - this is getting pretty long already!

As so many of you are filling my inbox asking about salad and why I found the fact they had two types of salad for dinner in the Buck and Tommy dinner scene so funny, I'm guessing you're new to the 911 fandom - Welcome if so! I am going to give you a very brief rundown of salad and Buck and Eddies various relationships, but @clusterbuck is actually the keeper of salad theory and you can find far more detailed analysis over on her blog than you’re getting from me here!!

I can't find gif of the actual salad moments so have pictures!!

Chris smashed salad bowl that he is making a salad in with his dad in season 4 (in Breaking point) - when he finds out about Ana being the person Eddie is dating.

We have Ana turn up at the firehouse with Chris during the black out in 5x02 with 5 - yes 5 - types of salad When Eddie has his second on screen panic about Ana - when Ravi mistakes her for his wife.

Then in 5x03 just before they break up - Eddie, Chris, and Ana are at the dining table in the Diaz house and they are eating fruit salad

Then in 5x05 we have Taylor with her prepackaged fruit salad breakfast the she has 'made' for Buck when he gets home

she is making a bean salad in 5x09 during the most awkward I love you scene in the history of television!

Then we have a caprese salad in front of Natalia during the Dinner Buck cooked for her in 5x17 - when she finds out about various aspects of Bucks past and present - Taylor on the tv and Kameron turns up

Then in 7x07 - when Eddie is daydreaming of a do over with Shannon during his lunch with Marisol they are eating a salad

then we now have Buck and Tommy eating two different types of salad (a pasta salad and a salad salad) on their dinner date

so basically it's become a bit of a running joke that if salad is involved with Buck or Eddie and one of their dates (especially in their own homes) , the relationship is doomed!

#this is only a semi serious theory - its just amusing that pretty much every time either Buck or Eddie have a salad with one of their dates #in their own home - things tend to go sideways or south prety soon after - it is very much a pattern;#Chris makes and then smashes a salad and two episodes alter we see him literally sitting between Eddie and Ana #Ana gets broken up with after bringing salad to the firehouse and serving Eddie fruit salad when he comes home #Taylor serves a fruit salad and two episodes later we see the cracks appearing in their relationship (the truth is everything) then #two episodes later Taylor makes a bean salad and says I love you and two episodes later Buck kisses Lucy #Buck serves Natalia a Caprese salad and she runs away - she comes back but two episodes later (7x01) Buck has broke up with her #Marisol and Eddie eat salad in the Diaz kitchen and two episodes later she walks in on him in the arms of another woman - who looks like hi #dead ex wife #and now Buck and Tommy are eating salad in 7x10 so maybe we need to keep an eye on 8x02 as it may well be a moment of doom for Buck #and Tommys relationship based on previous salad sightings - not saying it will be a break up but we may very well see major cracks appearin #salad theory #its laways two episodes later!#eddie diaz #evan buckley #911 abc #buddie #buddie and salad #right in front of my salad

We are a REAL country!!'#not to mention how deeply entrenched the idea of the US as being CONSTANTLY under attack is and the president as the PROTECTOR #and that protector needs to be daddy of course #i also think the different attitude to leaders plays a role #because a part of misogyny is how much people love to HATE women - to sink their teeth into them and demonise them for every flaw #so any country that has some kind of weird worship of their leaders or sees them as some heroes or extra-class of person*#in my opinion might have a harder time to elect a woman because the moment a woman becomes a candidate #you just have to find the right flaw to go on and on about to make the population absolutely hate her or question her competency #meanwhile the general slack we cut men means they can do whatever but somehow still be compatible with that concept of leadership #(*not just the US ....though a lot of other countries with similar attitudes to their leaders are not standing out as democracies tbh)

Did you know that there are actually 2 Saiki K 3ds games?

This one is called 「照橋心美のΨ難いっぱいおっふ」 [The Disastrous Life of Teruhashi Kokomi: A lot of offu].

At first you play as Teruhashi against Nendou, Kaidou, Hairo, Toritsuka, Kuboyasu and Kusuo.

After beating all of them, you can play as them against Teruhashi and Kuriko.

You unlock Kuriko when you get S on her and Teruhashi.

Translation of characters' descriptions below. Other information in tags.

Teruhashi Kokomi: The ultimate most beloved girl. When you meet her, the first thing you'll do is say "offu". With her deadly "Angel Upwards Beam" she will destroy the walls of your heart.

Saiki Kusuo: A boy who controls various superpowers. With psychokinesis, he splits the ball and relentlessly attacks! He creates a wall, making his defense perfect.

Nendou Riki: His nickname is "mysterious idiot". The attack he unleashes charges single-mindedly forwards. It won't stop no matter what happens!

Kaidou Shun: Everyone acknowledges him as a chuunibyou. With his sealed, forbidden thunder, he can erase 10 blocks from this world.

Hairo Kineshi: A class representative with overflowing passion. With a burning hot ball, he breaks blocks with a single hit!

Toritsuka Reita: A spirit medium full of worldly desires. He summons ghosts of the ball to repeatedly attack the girl he's interested in!

Kuboyasu Aren: A former delinquent who was the leader of the gang "Espers". With his power, he can destroy even hard blocks with a single hit.

Saiki Kuriko: Saiki Kusuo transformed into a female form. With overwhelming speed and power, she attacks relentlessly!

#teruhashi kokomi #saiki kusuo #nendou riki #kaidou shun #hairo kineshi #toritsuka reita #kuboyasu aren #saiki kuriko #saiki k #tdlosk #the disastrous life of saiki k.#the one piece of information you Could say this game has is that hairo isn't immune to teruhashi in it #miscellaneous info about this game:#(to be precise this isn't exactly a Game it's a bonus Mini-game you can download for getting the actual saiki k 3ds game)#when you play against kusuo as teruhashi it says that it's just her delusional version #and when you're kusuo against kuriko (and the opposite) it says that the other is from a parallel world #there's 1 kuriko sprite that doesn't appear in the other 3ds game (also kuriko doesn't have her own voice actor in either games)#every character has their own power up when pressed Y #teruhsahi's one is the best one by far (she's also the only one who has special art for using the power)#when (for example) you beat kuriko as kuboyasu she's beaten for everyone #so nendou hairo kaidou and toritsuka are pretty much useless as the others' powers are just better #nothing happens when you get S on everyone #the gameplay is only that block breaking thing #one of kaidou's stages spells “DARK” and nendou's “お?” but all the other ones are just generic obtacles #there's just one song and every time the ball hits the ceilling the character shouts “offu” (and sometimes when a block is broken too)#which gets repetitive quite fast #also for some reason you can't use the stylus to move the platform on the bottom screen; you need to use the buttons

Keep thinking about how time in Frieren is measured in years since Himmel's death. The fact that at this point in the anime, he's been dead far longer than Frieren travelled with him, and yet, that's still how she relates time to this world.

#I have some thoughts about flamme and himmel and the space they both occupy for frieren but as an anime-only I'm being cautious.#I do think the stuff with the 'ghost' though implies a lot. flamme had been dead for so long and yet she was who frieren saw the first time #it took frieren that long to get attached enough to make a connection strong enough to challenge the one she had with flamme.#but she still speaks of the quest time as being a 'mere' decade. I think both flamme and himmel understood her better than she did herself #anyway yeah for now I'm sticking with the anime. let's see how long I last before swapping to the manga.#frieren #oh also. using the time since his death is so neat from a meta perspective. bc we have these new humans + every time the years appear #you're reminded that they too are subject to the passage of time in a way that frieren isn't.
