STRANGER THINGS: THE FIRST SHADOW SPOILERS - ELEVEN

here is a compilation of all things I can recall from the play involving Eleven

also to note: some things I am still a little confused about and will need to verify when I see it again soon. I will update as I remember things!

Henry's blood was transfused by the lab into either the pregnant mothers or the babies themselves, meaning they have his ''special' blood type (I will make a post about this soon when I next see the pay and can actually try to understand it because honestly my brain is a mess rn)

The final scene of the play is Henry with Eleven in the rainbow room, a short recreation of the scene in the show here he says they have 'something new to try today' which ties it nicely into the familiar territory of the series

The 'baby' Henry was holding at the end of the show on the first preview night was actually an error - the show started late and still has a working runtime of three hours without interval. As the show is still in preview sessions, it means not all transitions run smoothly yet and need major polishing, consider it like practices before the press night and official opening in mid-December. The play overran majorly for the first preview show and finished past 11pm. Due to laws involving child actors on stage, the young actresses who is usually cast to portray Eleven (as well as Alice Creel throughout the play) in the final scene was legally not allowed on stage for the final scene in the rainbow room. On a regular show night once it is polished and runs on time, Eleven in that final scene will be the age she is in the show in that same scene (so season one). The baby was simply a way to still do the scene but cover up the mistake of not legally allowing the Eleven actress on stage past 11pm. (I hope this makes sense)

So the @best-ducktales-episode tournament got me thinking about my favorite Ducktales episodes, so I decided to do a gif set of my favorite ten episodes. I don't know what it say about me that Last Crash of the Sunchaser is my favorite😅

While many of these episodes didn't necessarily get too far in the tournament, I still love 'em all the same

Stranger Things: the First Shadow shows us that Henry Creel was 12 when he first stumbled upon Dimension X (something that the show will be exploring, I'm sure of it, it's significant that Henry disappeared into this and not the Upside Down).

Will Byers was also 12 when he first went missing and entered the Upside Down.

If the title "the Vanishing of ***** Wheeler" for season five episode two is referring to Holly Wheeler, I'm so excited about what the significance of 12 is for the Upside Down.

Because there has to be something.

What do Henry, Will and Holly all have in common? They're all sensitive youngest children.

Eleven, Twelve...

Something I don't understand, if all the lab kids powers come from henrys "infected" blood, and Henry's powers come from the mf and they are the reason why it was able to contact him in the void and possess him in the first place, then why did it never tried to "flay" El and the other kids? It's not like it's not able to possess more than one person at the same time, as it possessed Will while Henry himself was still possessed, which brings me back to how was it even able to possess Henry without a gate? Am I missing something here? It's implied that shutting the gate in s2 would have killed Will, so what makes Henry different? Why is the shadow still active in him during all his time in the lab if there was no gate??

Just in the meantime before I write the full analysis. There was a cool reference in the play between baby El and a younger Henry. At the end he’s holding her in his arms after we see how his blood transfusion has given powers to all these new born babies, and as she’s asleep calls her a “sleepyhead”, which references what he calls her in Season 4. Small detail but made so much sense, just like the music detail that I posted about before.

since tenma can fly his probably the one getting the ball back whenever it gets stuck somewhere high up.

i just imagine when tenma needs to get the ball from like the roof or something like that, tsurugi stays near him (down below) incase he falls so he could catch him, he knows that tenma wouldn't fall but that fear is still in the back of his mind because of what happened back then with him and his brother.

also bonus tenma gas goggles he takes every where he goes cause nobody wants to get dust in their eyes when they are flying in the sky

he probably becomes so used to picking up the ball from stray places that he most of the times goes without anyone having to ask, haha! though I think he's okay with it, as long as it doesn't become a rule instead of a habit.

ooh... I can imagine Tsurugi being overly nervous the first time he sees Tenma just jump up and go to a roof to get the ball. and even more so when Tenma just jumps down, and for the few seconds before air catches his wings, Tsurugi is on autopilot and moves in to catch him in slight panic. Tenma is surprised and they stumble and fall to the ground, they're both okay but Tsurugi is losing his mind and Tenma is surprised but apologetic.

from then on he knows Tenma will be fine, but he'll be close, watching out just to be sure.

also yes, goggles for the bird fellas! no dust and wind in the eyes is essential for safe flying in high speeds. I got no art for it but I think Tenma would prefer... uh, I got no clue of the right terms, but the kind you use with motor sports/snowboarding over to sunglass model, so they're secured properly. like these:
